    Fling vs. The 2nd Revenge of Black Death

    Fling powers out of the starting square as this first match of Xmas SMASH!! gets underway, with The 2nd Revenge of Black Death coming out of the blue square to meet Fling head on! Their ground clearances cancel one another out, but Fling gains the advantage this time and pushes in underneath, causing the rear flywheel of The 2nd Revenge of Black Death to scrape against the arena floor, unfortunately for Samuel though this stalemate lasts just a few seconds before Daniel hits the flipper button and Fling€™s spring operated launching weaponry throws The 2nd Revenge if Black Death high into the for it to come crashing down onto its back! Sam self-rights with his own flipper, and the veteran of Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged and Robot SMASH!! Series III: Lock3d and Load3d now goes on the attack! In RS!!2 he was Revenge of Black Death, and lost out to tenth seed Killobite 5.0 in the second round of Heat L, but didn€™t do as well in the third season€™s hypothetical results and lost out to thirty-first seed Intriguer and Baldur Gamma in round 1 to crash out along with Robo-Mammoth. Here however Samuel wants to do better with this brand spanking new update and shows us this as he drives in underneath the side of Fling and turns it over quickly and easily with the front hinged flipper before turning and smashing into Fling with the rear vertical flywheel, which has been spun up to maximum speed by that magmotor! It knocks Fling back onto its wheels and scratches the paintwork, but it isn€™t very heavy and so does no real damage. And now Fling turns to get under the momentarily still flywheel of Black Death to drive in underneath and push it across the arena floor, firing the powerful flipper to send Samuel head over heels into the CPZ! Sumo Shock immediately drives in on the attack and slams Black Death into the spike strip, pinning the wedge shaped robot there for the full thirty seconds before releasing Samuel, who drives straight back into action and up and over the front wedge of Fling before Daniel Stickler can react, and with the rear of Black Death facing the back of Fling we know which robot has the deadliest backside....

    CRASH!!!

    Fling is flipped onto its back just on the outskirts of the CPZ, and the rear panel has been shaken a little loose on one side, but the other three sides are preventing any electronics from being exposed and so Fling proceeds to self-right, but he lands on top of Sumo Shock, who rams Daniel€™s Stickler€™s machine for the full length of the arena and into the pit release button as well as sending Flick high into the air with the force of the slam, allowing Daniel to land smack bang in the middle of the arena before Daniel drives away and goes around on the attack of Black Death again, scooping it up sideways and throwing Samuel high into the air for The 2nd Revenge of Black Death to come slamming down onto the flame pit, which makes no impact whatsoever against the hardox armour, but provides a good opportunity for the audience to chant the hazard€™s title enthusiastically! Black Death drives off again quickly though and takes a run at Fling, getting under the front end just before the flipper closes shut and ramming it across the arena, the crowd gasp in surprise as they realise the fight is almost at an end as Black Death reaches the pit and activates the front hinged flipper to topples Flick over the edge of the chasm and into the abyss!

    CEASE!

    Fling is flung into the pit; The 2nd Revenge of Black Death gets its second revenge as well as 3 points!


    Super Gore Septua vs. Crash Trashing Robot

    These two relatively new machines fly out of the starting squares as the green light is shown, with the RS!! veteran who reached the heat final in series 1 and 2, but didn€™t return for number 3 being the first attacker in turning away from the dangerous front of CTR and spinning quickly to grab the rear inverted wedge that houses the pneumatic spike, no good upside down! And CTR is very thin at just 30cm in width, allowing the claws of Super Gore Septua to pin it convincingly with the new pneumatic setup, gripping the parallelogram shaped machine in its claws and now using the extra traction granted by those tracks to pull CTR towards Matilda€™s CPZ!

    CRASH!

    The lady of Robot Wars strikes Chris€™ machine with her dangerous flywheel and sends it bouncing away across the arena, with the side panel having been removed by the force of the hit! But CTR is quick back on the attack and drives in underneath the rear of Super Gore Septua, pushing it across the arena and firing the nasty co2 powered flipper to topple the Kan Opener-esque robot onto its back, but Kody just drives forward once he€™s flipped and gets underneath the open flipper of CTR, bringing the claws into play again and this time digging into the internals on the side that was ripped off by Matilda! And all of a sudden gas starts leaking out of CTR - Super Gore has gone right through the co2 bottle and now CTR is weaponless! CTR struggles to escape, but Super Gore holds on in there and now pushes Chris across the Robotagon, this time pinning it against the pit release for a few seconds before releasing the parallelogram due to the thirty seconds grabbing rule. Chris drives away, but Kody follows, and though Chris manages to turn and get a wedge under the side of Super Gore Septua he has no weapons to fight it with, and he€™s at the wrong angle for the pit, so Chris just decides to do the best he can and ram Super Gore at Matilda, who is jauntily flaunting her dangerous backside at the perimeter of the CPZ!

    CRASH!

    As Super Gore is sent flying by the attack he too starts venting gas - the pneumatic system has been ruptured by the power from the force of the ram by CTR and the dangerous power of Matilda€™s flywheel, so now both robots are weaponless! Upon landing on the floor Super Gore drives back at CTR and Chris also drives at Kody, both robots meeting in the centre of the arena, but it seems that they€™ve struck a fault in the ground and neither can push the other backwards! Both reverse and drive at each other again, this time with CTR gaining the advantage and pushing Super Gore back into the spike strip before Kody manages to wriggle free and drives over CTR before spinning quickly and pushing CTR into Matilda€™s CPZ again! The house robot drives in underneath the inverted wedge of CTR and flips Chris onto the flame pit before turning with her flywheel and striking Chris at the unprotected side and tearing out the removable link!

    CRASH!

    CTR is left broken and beaten on the arena floor as the countdown begins.
    10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!
    Matilda hooks her battered toy with her tusks and drags CTR backwards across the arena, turning and dumping him sideways over the pit before spinning and ripping off his inverted wedge armour as well as knocking him into the pit!

    CEASE!

    Crash Trashing Robot is trashed; Super Gore Septua gores away to victory!

    Hmm...thats a good flipper...kay. If I let Fling come to me, hell be able to get his front end into play more, cant risk that. Therefore Im going to chase him down, keep attacking, and try to stop him from using his flipper by getting round the sides and even the rear. Once I get in there and under him, crunch the armour, and deliver to the pit.

    PREDICTIONS:

    Crash Trashed Robot will become what I changed its name to. :P

    In a reversal of general opinion, I think Fling will pwn Super Gore Septua...BADLY , largely through use of the pit.

    Both robots drive off out of their starting squares and meet in the centre of the arena, their front ground clearances cancelling one another out, as this becomes a pushing match! Chris gains the advantage though and pushes The 2nd Revenge of Black Death backwards across the arena and back over the red square into the spike strip behind it! And as the rear flywheel hits the wall and stops CTR digs in there and breaches the front of Black Death, inching in underneath and with a flick from that front flipper Black Death is turned turtle against the wall, but fires the flipper too early and so the flipper is open over the barrier while the disc is stuck on a spike! The 2nd Revenge of Black Death is trapped now, as if Samuel tries to close the flipper it just hits the rail, and I wonder if the flipper rams will be damaged by this? At the moment though we don€™t know as The 2nd Revenge of Black Death is stuck where it is, and Chris isn€™t about to spoil this flawless victory by freeing it as time ticks down.

    The 2nd Revenge of Black Death has been counted down and out of the match and CTR twirls in victory as Psychopath now comes in to finish the job, bringing the heavy hammer down onto the top of the trapped Black Death, snapping the flipper off and in doing so liberating the wedge shaped machine!

    CRASH!!!

    Sam is back on the ground, but his machine has already been counted out and now Chris just moves in to finish the job, turning Black Death turtle once more with a snort of co2 from that nasty front flipper, and without its own flipper Black Death is immobilised again.

    CEASE!

    The 2nd Revenge of Black Death wants revenge now; Crash Trashing Robot has finally trashed the opposition!


    Super Gore Septua vs. Fling

    SMASH!!

    Again a flying start to the fight as both robots leave their starting squares at maximum speed, clashing in the middle of the arena, but neither gaining the advantage as their ground clearances cancel each other out. However Super Gore has the more powerful drive and the claws clamp down on the sides of Fling as Kody pushes the wedge-shaped machine backwards across the arena and into the CPZ. The sides have been depressed very slightly, but no real damage has been done to Fling€™s armour and certainly not to the internal workings. Furnace move sin now though and scoops the two of them up by driving underneath the rear of Fling and fire explodes out of the dome shaped house robot, engulfing the two combatants as Furnace rams them headlong across the arena and into the pit release button!!

    CRASH!!!

    The pit release button is depressed and all three robots are sent flying from the hit, Fling recovering quickly and running in on the attack of Super Gore Septua, suddenly turning the tables by flipping it up high in the air to land on the side rails of the arena! Super Gore wobbles precariously, and then topples back in, but with its wheels hanging over the camera tracks! Fling resets its flipper and then moves in, driving in underneath the beached Super Gore Septua and fires its powerful flipper, tossing the horizontal crusher over the fence and out of the competition!

    CEASE!

    Super Gore Septua is gored out; Fling flings the opponent right out!

    The two winners of these fights will have the most points, so whoever won out of the two winners when they fought will be crowned champion, mainly because I want to finish this before Christmas, but don€™t want to write on Christmas day.

    Side attack FTW! Get to the sides, clamp, and pit! Id prefer to attack the flipper rather than the disc though.

    The two robots both armed with powerful flippers leave the starting squares as this match begins, with Fling being the more aggressive and twisting around right at the start of the bout to slip under the side of Crash Trashing Robot, Daniel Stickler at the controls firing the flipper to send CTR up and over! Chris still has the spike to use though and drives in underneath the front of Fling while the flipper is still raised, firing the spike and knocking Flick up into the air, but not over and Daniel€™s wedge shaped machine is soon back on the ground and back on the attack, driving on another onslaught at CTR, getting the flipper under the side again and now driving towards the CPZ, firing the flipper and sending CTR up high, to come crashing down on top of Shunt, who lifts it with the scoop and brings the axe down on top before going full out and ramming CTR across the arena and into the spike strip! Chris escapes now though and drives in on the attack of Fling and getting under that 20mm ground clearance at the rear and powering across the arena with those powerful magmotors in the drive, firing the flipper just as they reach the spike strip to knock Fling over sideways and slam it against the spikes, pinning Fling there while the flipper resets, but when it does CTR is knocked away by the force of the weapon and Fling lands on its back, but again CTR rushes in on the attack and rams in underneath, slamming Daniel Stickler€™s machine into the spikes again, but the hardox armour holds up and now Fling fires its flipper to self-right and drive away before anymore damage can be done, turning now to get underneath the inverted wedge at the back of CTR and firing that spring-powered flipper to knock the Crash Bandicoot robot up into the air again, this time with Chris landing on the flame pit and the fur catches fire! CTR reverses off the flame pit though and drives at Fling, who goes on to meet it, but their ground clearances cancel each other out and the magmotors of CTR triumph over the Sinclair C5s that Fling is using as Chris now uses the extra power to force Daniel back across the arena and into the pit release button! The siren wails and now our drivers have another thing to worry about, that great gaping hole in the floor that Crash Trashing Robot and Fling have both already seen the bottom of earlier in this tournament. Fling drives away from CTR now though and spins when Chris comes on another ramming attack, easily knocking the thin robot away and sliding in under the side ground clearance, ramming it now across the arena and firing the flipper for CTR to go flying up into the air and coming crashing down- into the chasm, only to disappear in a puff of smoke!

    CEASE!

    Crash Trashing Robot is flung out of the competition; Fling flings all he opposition away in its final match!


    Super Gore Septua vs. The 2nd Revenge of Black Death

    And as the final match of this tournament gets underway we do know that Super Gore Septua has no chance of finishing first in the tournament, since it was defeated by Fling earlier on. But it€™s not going to go down without a fight and Kody wants that high placed finish, driving straight out of the starting square to meet The 2nd Revenge of Black Death in the middle of the arena, their ground clearances cancelling each other out and despite Black Death having the more powerful motors Super Gore wins the pushing match due to the traction given by those grippy tracks, and as the pneumatic claws snap into place to sink through the thin armour of Black Death, and Samuel€™s robot is edged back across the arena, but now Kody turns and heads for the CPZ, pushing Black Death into King, who grabs the rear with both his claws just as Super Gore lets go and reverses across the arena into the pit release button! King has a good grip on Black Death though and lifts it into the air, the disc spins and the flipper fires but it€™s no good against the power of King, who crunches through the thin hardox and goes into a Sir Killalot-type spin, letting go and allowing Black Death to be hurled through the air and land right next to the open pit! Samuel tries to move, but the wheels have been munched up by King and the one of the motors earlier on by Super Gore Septua, so the only movement is very slight as we see that Black Death never really got a chance in this match and now Kody rushes in just to finish it off by bumping it into the pit.

    CEASE!

    Just 11 seconds into the match and The 2nd Revenge of Black Death is massacred; Super Gore Septua wins!

    And unlucky finish for Black Death who beat the eventual champion in the very first match, but lost to the others and so doesn€™t manage a high finish. Technically Super Gore Septua and Fling tie for first, but since Fling had defeated Super Gore Septua earlier it€™s Daniel Stickler that is the winner.

    Goodbyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeee!
