  1. #11
    Count me in.

    Neo-Mecha

    Weight: 100kg
Shape: Ankle Biter (Battlebots 3.0 Version)... with side skirts
Colour: Jet Black for the front and rear, Prussian Blue anywhere else
    Dimensions: 100 X 77 X 36
    Power: 2 X Bosch 750s @ 24v powered by 5 X NiCads
Wheels: 2 X Aluminium Wheels with Asmaprene Urethane covering
    Speed: 15 mph
    Armour: 3.25mm Hardox
Ground Clearence: 0mm on the sides due to skirts, and on the back. 6mm anywhere else (Including without skirts)
Turning Circle: Everyone should know that this is zero.
Weapon: 27kg Front Vertical Spinning Disc made from laser cut titanium, powered by 2 X LEM-130. This also has 2 Hardox teeth curved upwards, and it will spin at 3600RPM. Heavily Shock-Proofed as well.
Srimech: At the rear, there is a linear actuated bar, and it can right the robot in 1 second.
Strengths: Powerful Weapon, Decent Pushing Power, Fast and effective srimech, Very Reliable
Weaknesses: Hopefully, there is none. XD

    Death Sentence

Body Shape: Just a simple Box with X-Terminator style bucket scoop
    Weight: 110kg
    Dimensions: 90 X 85 X 30
Drive: Steel Tracks with Asmaprene Urethane powered by 2 X LEM-130 @ 36V powered by 4 X NiCad BattlePacks
    TC: Zero
    Top Speed: 19 mph
GC: Completely 0mm at the back, 0mm anywhere with skirts, and 6mm without skirts
    Armour: 3.6mm Hardox 600
Skirts: A Titanium skirt on each side
Weapon: At the front, there is a big and devastating 21kg Horizontal Disc-o-Inferno style flywheel powered by a Honda CR125 Motorbike Motor. Its top speed is 9000RPM. It is deadly within 2 seconds. The bucket scoop at the back serves as a rammer, so if the disc fails it can push robots all day.
Srimech: Invertible, rounded sides prevent it from getting beached
Strengths: Devastating Name and Weapons, Extremely Sturdy Tracks, Very very very hard to get under, Heavily Shock-Proofed
Weaknesses: As usual, the tracks might be exposed to axes or crushers (Although Very Strong and Sturdy)

    The May Tracks Has You

Shape: Like Comengetorix. It has a wedge extender to give it 0 mm at the front.

    Speed: 15 MPH.

    Dimensions(lwh A): 85CM X 45 CM X 24 CM

    Armour: 4.5 MM hardox.

GC: 0 mm at the front, 6 mm everywhere else, covered by skirts made of 3 mm Ti.

Weapon 1: Rear hinged flipper, powered by two pneumatic rams at 500 psi.

Weapon 2: Upward facing spikes on the wedge. A robot can go over them, but if it tries to reverse, say goodbye to your tyres. By wedging a robot then reversing suddenly, TMTHY can impale the tyres, then fire the flipper to do loads of damage. Even a robot with stuffed tyres will be limping after that.

Drive: Inner tracks, powered by Lem-130€™s at 24 volts.

    Srimech: The flipper.

Strengths: Weapon synergy, has sunglasses painted on the side. Once The May Tracks Has You, there is no escape.

Weaknesses: Axe/flipper combos could take the tracks out.

Notes: There is a strip of metal shaped like sunglasses at the top of the flipper to prevent fast robots just going straight up and over like in Storm 2 vs Firestorm.

    Cobalt

Shape - Mostly a shallow wedge with a small box section at the rear.

    Speed - 16 MPH

    Dimensions(lwh): 70CM X 45 CM X 20 CM

Armour - 4 mm Hardox for the top, 5 mm for the sides and 5 mm Grade 5 Ti for the base.

GC - 3 CMs at the very rear, going down to 0 at the front, assisted by a sharpened wedge extender allowing it to slide under the lowest ground clearance.

    Weapon 1 - The wedge.

Weapon 2 - A flat disc of doom style flywheel on the front wedge. Robots get thrown off after having their bases and wheels shredded. The disc is run on a Lem-130 on 24 volts and spins at 500 RPM. The disc is made of 4 mm Hardox, with two Hardox teeth, angled in the direction of spin.

Drive - Two wheel drive, with the wheels positioned at the very rear of the machine and castors around the middle to provide stability. This is powered by two S28-400 Magmotors on 24 volts.

Srimech - A lifting bar/plate made of 5 MM Grade 5 Ti/V. This not only self rights the robot, but also gives the disc some protection from axe attacks. The base bar is curved so it avoids hitting the disc. This is powered by a LEM-130 on 24 volts.

Gabriel IV posted on ZED, stats copied here:

    Gabriel IV: Enjoy The Violence
    WEIGHT: 100kgs
    DIMENSIONS: 105 x 80 x 30 cm
SHAPE: Elongated triangular pyramid with steep rear and very shallow front
COLOUR: Yellow body, red, yellow and black striped flipper, black shapes on either side and shiny silver skirts and spikes.
DRIVE: 2 C40-300 Magmotors run at 36v from 6 NiMh packs, driving two rear aluminium wheels with urethane rubber treads for grip on the arena floor. The motors should survive at 36v due to a 300A current limit and the use of timing belts in the speed reduction, which should slip if the wheel locks up and therefore save the motor.
SPEED: 15mph average, up to 25mph max
TURNING CIRCLE: Zero (well, due to the wheels being at the back its not exactly zero, but it turns on the spot)
GROUND CLEARANCE: 0 at the very front point, rising to 14mm at the rear. Side and rear 3mm 2014 T6 aluminium skirts can be fitted giving 0 all around.
ARMOUR: The whole top and internal subframes are constructed from a 5mm titanium/vanadium alloy monocoque, which is double skinned in a few key areas like the nose for extra ramming and structural strength, with first line impact reducing 7mm welded HDPE armour over the top of that. The base is 3mm 2014 T6 aluminium with a 7mm polycarbonate layer on top, and is recessed somewhat into the bodyshell/chassis for added protection if flipped. The front nose has an additional layer of 2mm spring steel over it which is sprung down to the ground to get underneath other robots.
WEAPONS: A forward hinged pneumatic flipper of the same design as its predecessors, but modified somewhat; its powered by an 80mm custom built ram that can operate at up to 2400psi, the actual operating pressure being determined by what gas is connected and from there controlled from the transmitter by a variable regulator, so the flipper runs on anything from 250psi to full pressure CO2 (750-800psi) to, if the tournament rules and assorted conditions allow, full pressure nitrogen (2400psi). The standard gas supply is a 2kg bottle of CO2 giving around 10-15 uses at full pressure with more on low pressure. (If I use anything other than that, Ill state it on entry)
The front spikes either side of the nose pointing sideways have been made slightly smaller to not get in the way as much, are made from hardened tool steel, and should cause a fair bit of damage should I go into thwackbot mode.
SRIMECH: Via weapon. The back has spikes to prevent stranding, and because of the body shape it is very unlikely to do a Mute when self righting.
NOTES: Where possible, components are shock mounted to cut down on damage from spinner impacts.
STRENGTHS: Difficult to get a grip on due to the shape, low centre of gravity, extremely good weapon that shouldnt waste gas, quite powerful and generally very tough.
WEAKNESSES: People will look at it and assume they can damage it due to the lack of Hardox (for the record, Ti/10% vanadium alloy is almost equal to Hardox 400 in terms of tensile strength and hardness, and actually is better than it for impact strength, so...yeah. :P)

For this tourney, I might as well take advantage of the pneumatic rules...the flipper system will run off of a 2 kilo nitrogen bottle giving about 5-7 flips at full pressure, but Ill be regulating it down for just turning people over and self righting which should stretch it a bit further. For the first couple of flips though, if I get right underneath...bang, watch out for those windows.
