2.4Ghz radio control

I notice that Robot Market Place in the US has just introduced a very reasonably priced 2.4Ghz radio set.

As our rules stand we allow 40Mhz and 459Mhz. Would there any merit in also allowing 2.4Ghz? or is there any reason why we shouldnt allow it?
I would welcome any comments from the community on this subject.

Licence free... should be down to the event organiser.

I know that its a band used in wireless networking and amateur TV broadcasts so there could be a risk of interference that may become more common.
Im sure someone out there knows what parts of the 2.4GHz spectrum that can be used or not and the power output allowed.

When you fire up your DX6, it searches for, selects and locks onto clear channels. (There are 80 channels in the 2.4GHz band.) And because international regulation of the band is very strict, your radio will neither sustain interference from - nor cause interference to - any other 2.4GHz device worldwide. And that applies, of course, to its simultaneous operation near other 2.4GHz RC radios as well.
