Ill steal the last place then

    Name: Infusion Beta
    Motivation: 4 x 125mm wheels
    Speed: 0-12MPH [25MPH under Kinetic Boost (K-Boost)]
Clearance: 7.5mm (same inverted) 0mm at the front, the wedge scraps the floor.
    Weight: 100kg
    Height: 125mm
    Length: 800mm
    Width: 600mm
Weapon: The weapon is a 28kg Hardox spinning ring (Ala MDU) powered by a LEM170 @ 36v. The rim rotates at 2000rpm and should spin up within 2 seconds max. The weapon is also a storage device for the drive. The spinning rim is connected to each side of the drive via a car air conditioner clutch, when the clutches are engaged, the 28kg kinetic storage bank(the spinning rim) transfers its energy into the drive train. The kinetic boost has a slight modification since the previous version of this robot, the K-Boost now has adjustible gearing between the clutch and the wheels. Low, Medium & High gearing is selectable prior to a battle. In low gear, speed is only boosted to 15MPH but torque is approx. 8 times higher with roughly 10seconds of boost. In Medium gear, speed is boosted to 20MPH and torque is approx. 4 times higher with 6 seconds of boost. High gear, speed is boosted to 25MPH and torque is increased approx 1.75 time higher and limited to 3 seconds of boost. This extra €˜kinetic€™ boost is used to ram into opponents with the front 10mm thick Hardox 500 wedge (similar to the one on Warrior SKF but wider and less depth to it). The front wedge is rubber shock mounted to ensure it survives the biggest of hits.
Drive: 2 x C40-500 Magmotors on 36v geared 7.5:1. The drive is also assisted via the spinning rim as explain above.
    Batteries: 120 x 3600mAh NiCad Cells made into 36v packs. Produces 36v @ 14.4Amp/Hours
Armour: Front wedge is made entirely out of 8mm Hardox 500, the top and bottom of the robot is made out of 8mm Titanium/Vandium, The ring is made out of 10mm Hardox 400 with inner bracing to the perimeter bearing. Inner bulk heads are made from 20mm polycarbonate and 10mm aluminium.
Notes: Invertible, speed when needed and generally well controlled for a spinner. Ram or Spin, Infusion aims to win!

    Name: Knightrous Wedge
    Motivation: 6WD
Shape: A wedge shape like SJ (http://www.buildersdb.com/botpics/845.JPGhttp://www.buildersdb.com/botpics/845.JPG)
    Speed: 40MPH
    Weight: 100kg
    Height: 320mm
    Length: 750mm
    Width: 650mm
Weapon: A speedy hydraulic front hinged lifter/flipper (0.25 second to do the full 120 degree movement) which is powered by a hydraulic motor geared 12:1 onto a crank shaft that lever on the lifting arm. (Diagram can be provided for Writer). The front wedge is made out of 10mm Hardox 500 and scraps the ground at 0mm.
Chassis/Armour: 5mm Hardox 600 sides, 8mm Titanium base and top. 3.25mm Hardox 450 floating skirts on the sides and back.
Drive: The drive is a hydra-static drive train. It has a 42HP Honda CR125 motor bike motor (2005 model) with a custom made swash plate hydra-static pump bolted to the motor output shaft. The hydra-static drive provides full motor torque at 0MPH right up to 40MPH (Electric motors and normal hydraulic drives cannot provide this feat, if you google hydra-static, you€™ll find out why). 6 x 120mm wheels that are 100mm wide provide the maximum traction when coated in 15mm of Urathane Rubber (Volcalon).
Notes: The robot is invertible. Gyro-stabalised and has an active traction control system build from a pair of 18X picaxe chips and some custom software and sensors. This will help maintain maximum control and handling at high speeds. Can self right with lifter and has 0mm ground clearance at the skirts and 15mm under the body. The robot also has rate limiting on the radio, so top speed can be set prior to the battle, to suit the opponent(s)

Advantages: The SPEED! The Pushability! The Strength!
Disadvantages: Having to keep your opponent in the arena long enough to have fun

    Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3

    Motivation: Wheels
    Speed: 12MPH (480MPH Tip Speed)
    Weight: 100kg
    Height: 250mm
    Diameter: 800mm
Weapon: The robot itself is the weapon. It uses its drive and a custom made micro processor system similar to that used in a fellow translational spinner called Cyclone Bot to translate itself around the arena creating a €œVortex of Destruction€. Using 9 Hardox €œenlightened€ teeth, it tears its opponent to pieces when the teeth collide at a sub-sonic speed of 480MPH. Causing certain death to the opponent.
Drive: 3 x Briggs & Stratton Eteks running on 60v. The motors are protected with a current limiting circuit and a thermal protection system which will ensure the motors don€™t over heat. The drive system uses a unique variable drive system with load sensing technology which enables the robot to start rotating with a high gear ratio preset at 5:1 giving the motors high torque low speed. As the robot gains rpm, which is constantly monitored via wheel rpm sensors, the gearing then adjust to suit the load of the motors and gain further speed allowing the gear ratio to lower from 10:1 to as low as 1:1 at top speed. The gear ratio can also over drive thrown the ratio 1:2 giving the robot nearly double the original top speed and allowing far more energy, but this is only used when the opponent is at a distance where it can easily be disposed of. Otherwise, the drive is left at 1:1 maximum.

MDU 3 sports an advanced drive control system to that of Cyclone Bot as it uses motor and wheel sensors to travel and translate in the most efficient possible way, minimising energy lose. The drive will adjust ratio to suit condition if it is loaded and will change if need to translate at the full 14MPH (6MPH up on the last version since the robot size has decreased for faster movement, quicker spin up times and thicker armour). Spin up time is minimal and varies between 0.5sec spin up and 1sec when the system is suffering from battery voltage drop. At a mere 1/7th of its full RPM, this robot will be dangerous. 500rpm will have enough energy to throw robots out the road and allow it to continue it quest for domination. If people start ganging up on it (Everyone will, I know), the drive system will be locked down into 500rpm mode allowing the drive to have nearly maximum potential torque yields and it will force the opponents away till it can then safely power back up to full speed and deliver the force of the €œVortex of Destruction€. To ensure endurance during combat, everything has been shock mounted for maximum protection.
Batteries: 250 x 3600mAh NiCD cells producing 60v @ 18amps. The packs are protected by a system like the drive which give both current and temperature protection. The packs are re-enforced between the cells with Polypropylene cell holders and will prevent them from breaking during the impacts.
Armour: 4mm Hardox 500 with stainless steel welding built in a monocoque design with triangle shape and inner supportive bulkheads. 10mm Polycarbonate on the top to save weight due to the upgrade to Etek motors and higher voltage
Notes: Invertible. Soon to be your worst nightmare. All within your precious 100kg weight limit. Approche Avec prudence.

Mother of All Bricks Inevitably Evolved

Motivation: 4 Titanium wheels with urethane rubber and NIB magnets inside the rubber for extra traction on metal floors.
    Speed: 15MPH
    Weight: 100kg
    Height: 220mm
    Length: 650mm
    Width: 620mm
Weapon: An active electric wedge, works both ways up and is primarily used to get under the opponent and allow the drive to show them the walls.
Drive: 2 x LEM200D motors producing around 52HP peak each when on there nominal 60v. The motors are current limited to 400amps, which limits the constant HP to 35HP combined. The motors will be run at 59.2 volts
Batteries: 16 x 3.7v 40000mAh Lithium Polymer cells producing 59.2 volts @ 40amps. The Lithium Polymer will give continous amperage of 5C(200amps) and peaks up to 10C (400amps)
Armour: 6mm Hardox 450 all over
    Notes: Invertible

    Name: The Ultimate Wedge
    Motivation: 6WD
Shape: A wedge shape like Voltronic
    Speed: 35MPH
    Weight: 100kg
    Height: 250mm
    Length: 800mm
    Width: 600mm
Weapon: A High Pressure top hinged flipper powered by a 80mm bore with 3 20mm Burket valves feed from a 3L buffer tank, using 2.2L of Liquid CO2. Well over 500kg of flipping force. This is not designed to be a big powerful flipper, but is used to launch the opponents over the arena wall or to momentarily disable them so they can be rammed again! Flipper sits on top of the armour, meaning when the flipper fires, the robot is still armoured everywhere.
    Chassis/Armour: 4mm Hardox 400
Drive: 2 x LEMCO 200€™s! Bigger then the LEMCO 130€™s and they put out more HP!
    Batteries: 160 x 3000mAh NICD to produce 48v
Notes: The robot is invertible. Gyro-stabalised and has an active traction control system build from a pair of 18X picaxe chips and some custom software and sensors. This will help maintain maximum control and handling at high speeds.

Advantages: The SPEED! The Pushability! The Strength! Flipping good
Disadvantages: Having to keep your opponent in the arena long enough to have fun

    Name: Acid Burn
    Motivation: 6 Shuffling Pads
    Speed: 8MPH
    Weight: 150kg
    Height: 200mm
    Length: 1200mm
    Width: 1200mm
Weapon: The weapon is an out rigger spinning cage like The Plague which is mounted to an inner 25kg shuffling robot, which controls the direction of the weapon. The spinning cage has 3 wheels which friction drive it via the ground, each wheel is powered by a LEM200D @ 60v (52 Peak HP each). Each has a variable ratio drive installed allowing it to go from 5:1 to 1:1 gearing dependant on drive load. The full spinning cage weights 125Kg and rotates @ 1800rpm and delivers its explosive kinetic energy via 3 large teeth mounted 10mm from the floor.
    Drive: 2 x S28-150 Magmotors on 24v driving 6 shuffle pads
    Batteries: 80 x 4200mAh Intellect NiMH producing 24v @ 8.4AH for the drive. 500 x 3600mAh NiCD producing 60v @ 36AH
Armour: 5mm Hardox 600 chassis, 3mm polycarb top covers,
Notes: Not invertible. Designed to be a rule bending robot, small little shuffling navigation bot with a 125kg weapon build around it and spun up on wheels. Legitimate, but bendy Picture coming soon, once I render it

    And Ill enter two realies..

Ive found the problem, entries will be posted here after all.

    1

    Name: The Crashing Bore

Shape: Box at the back with a low wedge at the front. The wedge is at a smaller angle than before, giving it a slightly longer €œnose€, plus it now has a CM long extension on the front which goes flat along the ground, allowing it to get under anything, skirted or otherwise.

    Speed: 12 MPH

    Weight: ~97 KGs

    Dimensions: 140 X 70 X 40 CM (LWH)

Ground clearance: 0 at front, 0 at sides with side and rear skirts, 1 CM without, all round. The sides of the skirts are shaped to leave absolutely no gap, except when the robot is turning.

Weapon 1: A mousetrap style blade, only instead of a flat piece of metal, it€™s jagged like ^^^^^^^, meaning instead of one big blade, it comes down as lots of little points meaning it can do more damage thanks to the area/damage ratio rule. A huge difference though€¦ Now it€™s Etek powered instead of running on gas. The blade is retracted by use of a different winding mechanism, so retraction is slower to prevent self harm.

Weapon 2: An inch thick diamond tipped industrial drill. Extends to 6 inches outside the robot, and comes out of a hole in the wedge. Theoretically, it can cut through more or less anything, but is mainly used for drilling through trapped opponents. Will provide diagram of extension mechanism if asked.

Weapon 3: Two 20 CM spikes at the rear, which rest along the floor. The main function is to stop the force of the trap making the robot jump around, but they can also be used as a rear wedge thanks to the shape.

Armour: 6 mm grade 5 Ti with a 4 mm polycarb laminate.

    Srimech: The trap.

Power: Six nicads in series power the motors to 36 volts, another four power the Etek at 48 volts, while a seventh runs the miscellaneous stuff like the gyro.

Wheels: Four indoor go-kart wheels. Provide excellent traction on indoor surfaces. These are stuffed rather than pumped, so a puncture wont slow it down too much.

    Motors: 4 S28-400 magmotors at 36 volts.

Extras: It now also features Tempest style shock proofing.

Safety link: Under a hatch at the top.

Strengths: Psychotic weaponry, design evolved to eliminate as many weaknesses as possible. Therefore, it€™s extremely difficult to knock out.

Weaknesses: High ground clearance under the skirts, not as manoeuvrable as unskirted 2 wheeled robots.

Random fact: This is the oldest vapourbot on the circuit.

    2

    Name: Tempest: Evil-er-oution

    Shape: Disc shaped

    Weight: ~100 KGs

    Size: 65 x 20 CM (DH)

    Speed: 15 MPH

Ground clearance: 1 CM all round

Motors: The two wheels are powered by S28-300 Magmotors at 24 volts, but the weapon is powered by a LEM 130 Lynch motor at 48 volts. These are powered by battlepack NiCDs.

Wheels: Two. These have only semi-good traction, to prevent it staying near the opponent after striking. Again, they€™re stuffed instead of pumped.

Weapon: Full body spinner, can reach speeds of 2000 RPM. It now has interchangeable tooth options. Options 1,2 and 3 have four teeth, and are the classic backward hook shape, while option 4 has two and are flatter.

Option 1: Short 2 CM cutting teeth, for robots with weak armour and no wedge. I€™m not expecting to use these much.

Option 2: These are basic 6 CM teeth. These should still give Tempest enough range to out-strike other spinners and hit wedges before they get in under the main body.

Option 3: This is a set of 15.5 CM teeth. Used for shallow wedges and spinners with longer teeth.

Option 4: Two 25 CM teeth, running as close to the floor as possible. These are used against machines with high GC€™s, enabling it to chop up the wheels and damage the drive chain better. Like option 1, I€™m not expecting to use these much, but y€™never know.

Armour: 8 mm grade 5 Ti for the rim, 1 CM Aluminium at the top and bottom.

Srimech: Runs either way up. If the weapon is running, it cant stay on its side.

Extras: Deliberately bounces off of things it hits, so that its just about impossible to push, and also has time to spin up to a damaging speed again. There is rubber tape at all places where two pieces of metal join, and it has rubber shock pads mounted at strategic places on the inside, and the important components are foam mounted, allowing it to absorb its own impacts very well.

Safety link: In the centre of the machine, accessible at both top and bottom thanks to panels.

Strengths: Damaging weapon, it€™s very reliable, is hard to predict and cannot be shoved around.

Weaknesses: Is also pretty hard to control because I€™ll never know exactly where it lands. Wheels are exposed to axes, but are stuffed so won€™t take too much damage from them.

    3

    Name: The Disc 5

Shape: It€™s still the €œbar-bell of doom€ shape we€™ve all come to know and€¦ Know. The framework around the disc itself is gone now, for two reasons. First off, people had trouble imagining what shape it was and kept thinking they could effectively latch on to it, and secondly because€¦ Well, basically the weapon itself is more or less indestructible anyway so I may as well save some weight. Anything powerful enough to damage the disc won€™t be put off by Ti bars. It still has the side spikes, but these are no longer the removable links.

    Size: 60X110X60 CM (LWH)

    Weight: ~100 KGs

    Speed: 10 MPH.

Ground clearance: Under the wheel protectors, it€™s 5 mm.

Weapon: 27 KG spinning disc, powered by one LEM 130 Lynch motor and going at 2500 RPM. What€™s so special about this new version is€¦ It has no teeth! Rather, it has no detachable teeth. Instead, the teeth are actually a part of the disc itself, so it would have to be shaped specially. The energy output is 36 KJ€™s which, while modest by vapour €˜bot standards should still be enough to make a mess of things.

Weapon 2: The outer axle the disc is attached to now also spins along with the disc. This has several little tungsten spikes for teeth, but it€™s more a defensive feature than an offensive one€¦ Try grabbing hold of that

Wheels: Shock horror€¦ It now technically has six wheel drive, although it only runs on four at a time. In an idea stol€¦ borrowed from Gigavirus, there are three wheels on each side, and they are arranged in a triangular fashion, so when it€™s flipped it will inevitably land on two. It can€™t balance on just one, as the weight will drag it over. Now it actually has something to push against as it stops, it becomes as easy to control as anything can be with a huge gyroscopic force in the middle of it. The wheels are made of 1 CM solid grade 5 Ti. Wrapped and glued around that is 3 CMs of soft compound rubber, allowing it to squish downwards a bit and absorb its own hits, and around all of that are vulcanore (or however you spell it) rubber tyres to provide traction. These are protected from disc attacks by two semi-circular wheel guards, so each wheel unit still looks like a ball.

Chassis: The main chassis consists of one solitary 1 CM thick 4 mm box section hardox bar. Slotted over that is a secondary axle, inside which are the batteries. There are also two other triangular chassis€™ supporting the wheels. These are made from 4 MM 1 CM box section Ti bars with weight reducing holes.

Armour: The true axle and chassis is a 4 MM hardox bar. The battery axle is 5 mm aluminium. The semi circular wheel protectors and side spikes are 6 mm grade 5 Ti. The disc itself is 2.25 CM€™s of Titanium, and the spinning axle is 4 mm grade 5 Ti.

Srimech: Totally invertible. Controls won€™t even have to be reversed after flipping, meaning it can just go straight back on the attack.

    Drive: 2 S28-400 Magmotors at 24 volts.

Safety links: It still needs two. These are at the very ends of the battery axle, accessible by holes next to the spinning axle. Technically it€™s possible to hit these with a toothpick style axe, but in the middle of a battle, when both robots are moving around and you€™re in a control pod at least 20 feet away€¦ Well, it€™s not going to happen.

Strengths: Very hard to hit, and hits very hard. Also thanks to the new wheels, it€™s about as controllable as something can be when it€™s got a gyroscopic force smack bang in the middle of it. Also thanks to the shape of the wheels, other spinners shouldn€™t be able to hurt it as much.

Weaknesses: To be honest I€™m not sure€¦ I haven€™t kill analysed this new version as much as the old version, so it may still be possible to surprise me with strategies I haven€™t thought of a good counter for:wink:

Yes I know: It€™s possible to avoid the weapon by being too wide to get in between the wheels. This is not a weakness, as it€™s extremely hard to effectively exploit. If you€™re a box, you€™ll still have corners I can go for, and will likely have to have thin armour or go overweight. If you€™re round, there€™ll always be a bit I can hit thanks to your shape. Anyway it€™s as long as rules allow€¦ So quit asking me about it.

    4

Name: NSBFR X (Never Seen Before Fic Robot X)

Shape: Invertible box wedge with rounded sides, plus side and rear skirts.

Weight: Dependant on weapon set-up, but the heaviest is 100 KGs

    Speed: 20 MPH

Weapons: Interchangeable weapons selected from the below list:

1: Basic horizontal 5 KG spinning bar. This goes around at 1500 RPM.

2: Electric 4 mm hardox pincers with weight reducing holes. These have 5 CM soft compound rubber pads on the tips, and are used against FBS€™

3: The classic solid hardox scoop with controlling latch, weighing in at a massive 20 KG€™s. Mainly used against flywheel wielding nasties.

4: Electric lifting plate, able to tip over 150 KG€™s€¦ I€™m sure I can find a few things to use this on

5: 12 KG spinning drum spinning at 3500 RPM, powered by a LEM-130 (my favouritest spinner motor) at 48 volts. Probably won€™t damage much, but could tip some robots over.

Weapon attachment method: I have changed this. First off the weapons are slotted on, and a 1.5 CM titanium locking bar is pushed through the side of the machine, and then held in position with two 5 mm hardox bolts. The under-section of the weapon is then attached with more bolts, holding it on very firmly and should prevent the weapon from being torn off (which as far as I know never happened, but no sense taking chances).

Armour: 5 mm grade 5 ti.

Ground clearance: 0 at the front no matter which wedge is being used. 4 mm at the side, and 6 mm at the rear. If using the pincers, the front GC is 4 mm. The skirts give it 0 mm all round, and are hinged so flop over when flipped.

Wheels: 4 indoor go-kart wheels which are stuffed rather than pumped.

Motors: 2 LEM 130€™s powered at 48 volts.

    Srimech: Invertible.

Safety link: Under a hatch at the rear.

Strengths: Good armour, interchangeable weapons. Quick.

Weaknesses: May not perform as well in melees. Might still be possible for weapons to come off mid-fight, but I doubt it€™ll happen.

    5

    Name: I.D.S.F.A

    Shape: Similar to Raging Knightmare..

    Weight: 100 KGs

    Speed: 20 MPH

GC: 0 at front, 1 CM at back and sides. 0 with skirts at back and sides.

Drive: 4 wheel drive, powered by two LEM 130 Lynch motors at 48 volts.

Weapon 1: A front hinged flipper on the front, using two 120 stroke, 80 bore rams on 250 PSI. Don€™t know how much it should be able to tip over, but should manage other robots fine. There is a lead weight bolted inside the machine in the far front to give it a little weight and ensure it can get under other machines, along with a sharp strip on the front to let it slide under skirts. There is also a speed bump on the end of the flipper to make sure fast robots like Storm 2 can€™t just drive straight over it.

Weapon 2: A rear steel horizontal disc. This weighs in at 15 KGs, and deals out 10 KJ€™s.

Armour: The front flipper plate is made of 4 MM hardox, and the rest of the machine is 4 MM grade 5 Ti.

Skirts: Made of 3 mm Grade 5 Ti. These are held down with springs, but not the dual sprung monsters as seen on SpinVerter. Just regular springs like on Storm 2 to make them a little harder to get under than regular hinged skirts.

Srimech: The flipper. The weight installed in the front of the machine makes sure it rests on the flipper and not on its back, for more efficient self righting.

Strengths: Fast drive and good flipper mean it could get under and throw over opponents before they can even move.

Weaknesses: Armour and rear flywheel compromised for weight.

    6

    Name: Enter The May Tracks

Shape: Like Comengetorix, but with more of a wedge on the front.

    Size: 130X60X18 CM (LWH)

    Speed: 20 MPH

Weapon: Rear hinged flipper, powered by two 80X140 rams on 150 PSI. It has a flat extension plate, extending the front by 2 CM, and allowing it to defeat most skirts. It has a recycler system as well, theoretically giving it unlimited fire power. The sunglasses are made of metal, and are attached to the top of the flipper to stop robots going straight over the top like Storm 2 did with Firestorm.

    Armour: 3.25 MM hardox.

Mobility: Steel tracks, with rubber strips glued in place to provide traction. These are hidden inside the robot, meaning only an axe can attack them, after flipping the machine. As there are very few Axe/flipper combos I should be safe from this If I have to go up ramps, I can remove some hardox plates to expose the tracks and make it extremely manoeuvrable as only a tracked machine can be,

    Motors: 2 S28-400 Mags at 24 volts.

Ground clearance: 0 at front, 5 at back and sides.

Strengths: Good traction, has a lot of flips, and all-round toughness. It can keep going on and on and on and on and€¦

Weaknesses: Tracks are exposed when flipped,

    7

    Name: Starstorm 2

Shape: Dome, with a spike on top in the centre to allow it to self right.

Colour: Black with stars painted on.

Weapon: Full body flipper. It uses three 80 bore X 160 stroke rams, powered on 500 PSI. When the weapon fires, the entire lid of the robot shoots upwards. The aim of this robot is: Shoot it high, watch it die. Because of the shape it€™s likely to throw opponents up rather than long, meaning a high drop but it will land near me, so with decent driving I can keep getting under them as they fall. Won€™t be able to OOTA unless pretty close to the wall though:sad:

Weapon 2, more or less: Four skirts completely surround the machine. These can be raised and lowered using linear actuators. They€™re raised when cruising, but when I want to get under something, the skirt in question is lowered as I attack, allowing me to slide under nicely. The skirts can also be lowered as a defence mechanism. When lowered fully, the skirts go flat against the floor, so most wedges will go straight over and onto the dome, and can then be launched.

Armour: 4 mm hardox with weight reducing holes for the dome, 3.25 hardox for the skirts and 6 mm Polycarb for the base.

Drive: Four wheel drive, powered by two S28-400 Magmotors.

Ground clearance: Variable depending on skirt level. Minimum is 0 mm, maximum is 5 mm. Under the front and rear GC though are rollers, allowing it to move up and down ramps easily.

    Turning circle: 0.

Srimech: The lid will tip it over. Thanks to the spike, this will work 100% of the time.

Extras: Contains Tempest level shock absorption.

    Safety link: The top spike.

Strengths: Hopefully very high powered flipper, reliable, tough armour. The shape of the armour will make spinners glance off rather than actually damaging it. Also 360 degree offensive/defensive capability.

Weaknesses: Can be out-pushed, and like any totally new ideas I€™m only 50% sure it€™ll work. Also thanks to the flipping method, opponents will likely go up high, but not along very much so may struggle OOTA-ing a bit.

And still Megabyte for my realie. I dont care if Sewer Snake beat it, it still kicks buttocks
