A DQ is in the air........& thankfully its not Button. Ironically though its F1 debutant Kubica, his BMW Sauber was found to be 2kg underweight therefore his exclusion promotes Felipe Massa to 7th and Michael Schumacher, who retired with 3 laps to go, is given the final point. Heres the revised standings. Poor Kubica

maybe Kubica left more car in that tyre wall than he thought? dont forget he needed a new nose, so Im guessing thats where his 2kg went. Wonder what kimis mclaren weighed in at in the end

In all seriousness though, what was schuey doing? He should have pitted for slicks with everyone else, sure, hed have lost 30 seconds or so, but it cost him 4 seconds a lap for 18 laps (well, 15, he didnt do the last 3) and that collision in the end??? stupid!
Schumey is a hero of mine, but he can be so dumb sometimes, and deserves to loose all those points. He threw away 8 easy points today if you ask me, but hey, hes 7 times world champ, and I am watching it all from the sofa, so I guess he knows best

Yep, it was great to see Jenson finally on the top step of the podium at last. Anyway heres the GP2 results, also at the Hungaroring. Lewis Hamilton endured a tough 1st race finishing 10th from last on the grid.

BMW have terminated Villeneuves contract for the rest of the season by mutual consent. BMW said that after Hungary they wanted to evaluate options for next year (Kubica). Villeneuve was not happy with BMW showing no commitment towards him.

Big shame. So that means 2 of the biggest caracters in F1 are gone. Cant see JV getting a drive next year.

Im absolutely against an engine development freeze and green image for F1 - it just doesnt work. Max Mosley should foff in my opinion.

I dont like the engine freeze either, it going against F1 being at the front of engine technology. However i do think F1 could be greener so i agree with that idea.

Mark Webber has agreed a deal to race for Red Bull next year, partnering David Coulthard in Adrian Neweys first fully designed Red Rull car.

Even though at the time I was supposed to be a fan of Jos Verstappen (being Dutch and all) I always thought that Pedro de la Rosa was the better driver of the two. That doesnt mean that Verstappen was a bad driver, not at all, but de la Rosa was just one step better as i see it.

So now that Pedro finally has a seat in a somewhat more competitive car, it will be nice to see how far het gets now.

Grand Prix Masters at Silverstone tommorrow. Yup, the masters series for the aged-over-45 ex-F1 drivers. Heres a run-down of the grid for the race (Sky Sports 2, 1300 UK time).
