    AGRO 3.5
    Weight: 100kg
Shape: Low invertable wedge with a low square hinged plate at the front
    Dimensions: 85 x 65 x 40 (cm; l x w x h)
    Speed: 17mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to hinged plate, 1cm at sides and rear
    Armour: 4mm Hardox
Wheels: 2, inside robot, and RC gyro for added control
    Power: 2 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapon: The hinged plate at the front allows 0 ground clearance - it can surpass skirts with a good push. At the rear is a 10kg 3000RPM X Terminator-like vertical spinning disc at the rear, made of titanium and powered by a D-Pack.
    Srimech: Invertable.
Tactics: Try to get under opponents and use the drum on them. If I cant, use the rear disc on them.
    Strengths: Fast, manouverable, dangerous weaponry
Weaknesses: A little tricky to control, high ground clearance

    BATTLE RAPTOR 4
    Weight: 100kg
Shape: Invertable box with wedge at front, rounded sides and rear, painted orange with black stripes like the raptors in Jurassic Park - since theres no room for an aesthetic raptor head, the paint job on the flipper displays a raptor head
    Dimensions: 70 x 55 x 30
    Speed: 16mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to low wedge, 0 at sides and rear due to skirts
Armour: 4mm Hardox, with holes drilled in it to reduce weight
Wheels: 4, inside robot, poke out the top so the robot can run inverted, uses skid steering
    Power: 4 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapons: The robot has an pneumatic Atomic-style flipper, with a flipping plate over the wedge at the front (with a plate sticking out of the front and running along the floor for 5cm for getting under skirts) and two bars attached to it that run down either side of the top of the robot to the flipper hinges 3/4 of the way along. At the centre of the top is a titanium electrically powered axe with a Terrorhurtz-style blade. Both weapons work at the front in this version - the flipper is fairly powerful since it is pneumatically powered (about 25 flips per fight), and while the axe isnt as powerful, it should still make a mark, particularly in vulnerable areas like wheels.
Srimech: Flipper and axe can both serve as a srimech (on their own, not together). If weapons fail in resting position, robot can run inverted. Flipper hinges and axe blade fit inside the robot and dont poke out the top, so they dont prop it up.
Tactics: Try to flip opponents, and if I cant, hammer them.
Strengths: Dual weaponry, invertable, manouverable due to skid steering
Weaknesses: Wheels vulnerable to axes, no weapons to attack from rear

    DEATH ADDER 3
    Weight: 110kg
Shape: The outside is a big 4mm thick titanium ring, with skirts all the way round at the bottom, and also fitted at the top for when the robot is inverted. On the inside top and bottom rim of the ring are small wheels with no drives, to balance it off the ground. Inside the ring, attached to it by bars, is the flat circular body.
    Dimensions: 100 x 100 x 25
    Speed: 18mph
Ground Clearance: 0 due to front scoop and skirts, 5mm behind skirts
Armour: Ring is 4mm thick titanium; body has 4mm thick titanium
    Movement: Camshafts like Drillzilla
    Power: 4 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapon: Main weapon is a pneumatically powered axe with a Beta-style hammer with sharpened ends. The axes attachment to the robot is not right on top, but a bit down into the body, allowing the robot to run inverted. At the front of the ring is a static curved scoop, which has a 0 ground clearance due to a titanium strip at the bottom - hopefully DA3 will ram opponents quickly and powerfully enough for the scoop to go underneath and the opponent to run up it and be overturned, or at least caught, a bit like BB middleweight Red Square. The scoop has a rectangle cut out of its top where the axe comes down when fired, and the ring has a rectangle cut out of its top half at the back where the axe rests, so the axes head and part of the stick bit can come out of it - the cutouts are lined with rubber so the axe doesnt damage itself on them.
Srimech: Axe works as srimech. If axe fails in resting position, the robot can run inverted, but cannot use any of its weaponry.
Tactics: Hammer opponents to death, or try to ram and overturn with the scoop.
Strengths: Fast; powerful axe; difficult to attack by flippers or spinners
Weaknesses: Will be helpless if turned over when axe is stuck in irregular position; could be attacked by axes

    M.O.R.D2
    Weight: 110kg
Shape: Box, with sides that slant outwards from the top and bottom edges to form triangles, like Tornados rear (hopefully this will lower the effectiveness of spinners)
    Dimensions: 90 x 32 x 35
    Speed: 20mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to plow, 0 at sides and rear due to skirts, which are fixed to the points of the triangles and can work either way up
Armour: Body is 6mm titanium; scoop is 4mm titanium; skirts are 3mm titanium
    Movement: Camshafts like Drillzilla
    Power: 4 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapons: At the front is an electrically powered scoop which operates through 180 degrees, so it can work when the robot is inverted. Behind the scoop is a 20kg spinning drum with 8 titanium teeth on it, spinning at 2000rpm and hopefully able to flip robots as well as damage them. The drum comes into play if the scoop is lifted.
Srimech: Invertable; triangles at sides and rear prevent it resting there
Tactics: Shove opponents with the scoop; then lift the scoop and attack with the drum
Strengths: Fast; good traction; powerful drum
Weaknesses: Less manouverable than wheeled robots

S.N.D.O.S (SLICE N DICE ON STEROIDS)
    Weight: 96kg
Shape: Invertable box with rounded sides and rear
    Dimensions: 60 x 60 x 45
    Speed: 12mph
Ground Clearance: 4mm at front, 0 at sides and back due to skirts, skirts are sprung for extra lowness
    Armour: 4mm Hardox
Wheels: 2, inside robot, with RC gyro for extra control
    Power: 2 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapon: 25kg 3000rpm titanium vertical spinning disc at front
    Srimech: Invertable
Tactics: Mash with big-a** disc, and try to flip as well.
Strengths: Powerful weapon; low ground clearance
Weaknesses: No weapons on sides and rear; a bit on the slow side

    SNAKEBITE IV
    Weight: 110kg
Shape: Low invertable box with wedge shaped like a snakes head at the centre of the front, skirts at either side of the wedge and rounded sides
    Dimensions: 90 x 70 x 23
    Speed: 18mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to low wedge and skirts, 0 at sides due to skirts, 3mm at rear
Armour: Body is 4mm Hardox; skirts are 3mm titanium
    Movement: Camshafts like Drillzilla
    Power: 4 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapons: At the centre of the front is a 40cm wide wedge with a titanium edge for getting under skirts. The wedge is split horizontally down the middle and opens up like a jaw electrically - this is designed for lifting rather than flipping. On either side of the wedge are skirts which help get under other robots who arent on the wedge. The skirts and wedge both flop down when inverted so can be used either way up. At the rear is a horizontal MOE-style 8kg 2500rpm spinning blade.
Srimech: Invertable; rounded sides prevent it resting there
Tactics: Try to get under robots, lift and shove them around, and damage them with the blade.
Strengths: Fast; good traction; well armoured
Weaknesses: Low flippers can get it at the rear; has difficulty flipping opponents

    TENDERIZERS REVENGE 2
    Weight: 97kg
Shape: Low invertable box with low wedge at the front and inverted wedge at the back - painted blue with its name painted to look like blood on the skirts
    Dimensions: 90 x 90 x 20
    Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: 0 all around due to low wedge and skirts, 2mm behind side skirts, 20cm behind skirt on inverted wedge. Both wedges have skirts attached to them at their edge. The wedge and side skirts are attached to rotatable cylinders inside the robot (or wedge) so they can be moved up and down. When they are down, they are very low and its hard to get underneath, but the robots speed is reduced to 9mph. The side skirts can go up to a point where they work inverted. The skirts on the wedges move within 90 degrees - when their wedge is inverted, they are in a vertical position to repel flippers, and when their wedge is right way up, they are in a horizontal position, riding along the ground to help get under robots. When the robot is moving around normally, all skirts except the front wedge one are pulled down low but not to maximum lowness so it can move quickly - the skirts go to maximum lowness if a flipper comes anywhere near it.
Armour: Main body has 5mm polycarbonate on top of 5mm titanium, skirts are 4mm titanium, wedges are 5mm hardox
    Wheels: 4, inside robot
    Power: 4 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapon: An electrically powered lifting arm, which runs along half of the top of the robot - its tip is pointed to help hold onto robots, and is at the point where the wedge meets the body, and it does not go down the wedge. It can rotate through 360 degrees so it can be used when the robot is inverted.
Srimech: Invertable - arm will act as srimech, but this will hardly happen as the robot works identically both ways up. Moveable skirts prevent it from resting on its sides.
Tactics: Run into opponents, try to get under them, then get them onto its top and onto the arm. The arm turns them over, or catches them so I can carry them around.
Strengths: Decent pushing power; moveable skirts; difficult to attack by flippers
Weaknesses: May struggle to use arm against some opponents

    FEATHERWEIGHT
    SNAKEBITE HATCHLING
    Weight: 11kg
Shape: Wedge, painted to look like a green snakes head
    Dimensions: 40 x 30 x 25
    Speed: 13mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front, 2mm-9mm at sides, 9mm at back
    Armour: 3mm titanium
Wheels: 2, inside robot, stick out the top so the robot can run inverted, large so robot can still run when wedge is lifted off the ground by its arm
    Power: 2 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapon: On the wedge is an small electric powered lifter which works either way up. It can lift robots on the wedge, or lift the whole wedge like Aggrobot 3. There is also a vertical spinning bar at the rear.
Srimech: Invertable; screws tapped into sides mean it cant rest there
Tactics: Flip skirtless opponents and slice skirted opponents
Strengths: Manouverable, multi weaponry, can do a cool Diesector-like victory spin by lifting its front off the ground
Weaknesses: Tricky to control, unimpressive pushing power, can be flipped

    LIGHTWEIGHT
    CRASH
    Weight: 20kg
Shape: Low invertable box painted gray, with wedge at front
    Dimensions: 40 x 25 x 6
    Speed: 18mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to wedge, 0 at sides and back due to skirts, 4mm behind skirts
    Armour: 3mm titanium
    Wheels: 4, inside robot
    Power: 2 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapon: CO2 powered lifting arm, which runs along the centre of the body and down the wedge
Srimech: Arm acts as srimech - can run inverted if arm fails. Skirts prevent robot from landing on back or sides.
Tactics: Lift and carry around/flip unskirted opponents, ram around skirted opponents
Strengths: Fast, good pushing power for a lightweight
Weaknesses: May be ineffective against skirted opponents, wheels are vulnerable to axes

    MIDDLEWEIGHT
    COLLISION FORCE
    Weight: 50kg
Shape: High dome - poking vertically out of the top is a rod with four horizontal rods positioned in the middle, looking like helicopter blades
    Dimensions: 50 x 50 x 30 (main body), 70 x 70 x 60 (including rod)
    Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: 1mm on both domes
Armour: Shell is 3mm titanium; srimech rods are 1cm titanium
    Wheels: 4, inside robot
    Power: 2 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapon: The robot is a full body spinner with two interchangable domes. The first has four Son Of Whyachi-like spiked hammers on it, designed to damage - it can go through about 3mm of titanium. The second has two diagonal rods, (like the one at the end of the rod on Battlebot middleweight T-Wrex) the ends of which are just off the ground, designed to flip when spinning and perhaps damage the wheels. Both domes spin at 3500rpm.
Srimech: If flipped when spinning, the robot can sometimes bounce back onto its wheels. If it doesnt, or the robot isnt spinning, the rods on top will keep it from turning over and let it fall back onto its wheels, as they poke out wider than the main body. Because there is some vertical rod poking up past the horizontal ones, it cant rest on top of them if completely flipped over.
Tactics: Use the damaging dome on skirted opponents; use the flipping dome on unskirted opponents
    Strengths: Powerful weaponry; interchangable domes
Weaknesses: Poor pushing power if dome is disabled

  2. #12
    Here are Daves stats

A Large Red Bus Drove My Love Away

    Class - Heavyweight

Shape: Box wedge shape, with a steep wedge and round back.

Colour: White, mainly because you can€™t paint Dyneema.

Velocity: 12 mph, slow compared to other rammers, but this has more control, torque, and better acceleration.

Turning Circle: Like 97% of other vapourbots, skid-steer, gives zero.

Ground Clearance: As close to zero at the front. 8mm at the sides and 15mm at the rear end.

Armour: 5mm thick Hardox 600 on the front wedge with 5mm thick Aluminium 6061 on the base plate/top plate. The sides are fixed onto the chassis, the side, and rear armour is 1mm steel underneath 6mm Dyneema.

Motivation: Four big, inner wheels that can run invertible treaded with that selo-tape stuff.

Drive: Dave has gone down the electric route with this robot, and I have chosen two B42-500 MagMotors on 60v. The motors are run on 250 C-Cell NiCad Batteries to produce the 60v needed to power the motors.

Weapons: To get it past the stupid active weapon rule, it has a really stupid weapon, which is a row of lifting spikes on the top of the robot, only 3mm tall these spikes don€™t cause any harm with driving inverted, powered by cams into a Lego motor.

SRIMECH: The robot works upside down, and can be driven well by using the speed controllers invert switch.

Summary - My first main 4 wheel drive electric rammer.

Strengths: The armour absorbs the energy so that it doesn€™t spin out of control when hit by a spinner. Power

Weaknesses: Can never put down all the power at once, slow compared to other rammers.

    Chalkie 3G

Team Name - Shadow of the Solarized

    Mass - 100 kg

Dimensions - Height - The chassis is 7 Cms high, the wheels make it 9 cm robot. Length - 80 Cms, width - 30 Cms

    Wheels -
Big changes in this area, as I dumped the rubber wheels in a skip in favour of some lovely steel wheels, like Big Nipper, these are spiked and grooved to be able to turn and push. I managed to lose 200 grams from the wheels

Batteries - 4 packs of 36v 3600mAh NiCad (Thanks to Scott)

Motors - 4 Astro-Flight Cobalt 60 Robot Planetary Motor each running at 36 volts, air cooling makes sure these are kept cool, the fans are run from simple Lego motors. Motors have a diameter of ~ 5.3 cm.

Gearing - As well as the motors gearing, we are using a simple 2.2:1 module gears to reduce the speed of the motor to a good level of acceleration.

    Weapon -
    Either:
1 large sword. Only powered now by one linear actuator, via a pivot (diagram on request), saving a good 6 kg in mass from the weapon area. The sword runs flat around the ground and the tip is 1mm above the surface of the arena. The sword can lift 202 kg, at the maximum; otherwise it starts to bend under the pressure. The sword is made out of high tension steel, so it can restand the pressure of a 150 kg robot being lifted 20 cm away from the pivot.
    Or:
The secondary weapon is fitted only when fighting a robot with tensioned skirts. It is a simple 1kg unit which has 2 arms, one stays still and the other moves up and down, powered by a Lego motor. The fundamental idea is by getting the resonance frequency of the skirts, so that they have a larger aptitude in movement
    Or:
7.5 kg spinning drum at 2500 rpm, powered by a 36 volt MagMotor. The blades on the drum are designed to flip, not cut.

    Armour/Chassis -
A lovely titanium brick chassis, milled to custom design to allow the parts to fit inside perfectly, nothing can be shaken loose inside, because there is nowhere for it to go. On the corners of the chassis are steel bars to reinforce them from being the weak part. The sides of the chassis itself from the wheels is a good 20mm. The rear panel has 50mm Dyneema on it to stop the robot spinning around when it hits a spinner. The top and bottom panels fit perfectly within the chassis, and are held on by a series of bolts. The top and bottom are 5mm Hardox.

Colour - Painted Black with sliver stuff to make it look pretty.

    Skirts -
    Either:
The full skirts, which are something special to me. The sides and rear has two skirts, held down via gravity, but the lower skirts are hinged on the underside of Chalkie 3G and are 40cm wide, and the end is a 10 cm flat bit. So the angle is very low. The secondary skirts lie on top of this under skirt, and are hinged at 10 degree, at the top to rest onto the bottom skirt, which fits inside the lower skirt by a little cut, so the skirt in theory can only be broken by a sub-zero wedge. Also because the angle of the skirts are so shallow, there is nothing for a vertical disc to hit.
    Or:
Half-skirts, the bottom skirts are removed to leave the top skirts to come down at a slightly sharper angle.
    Or:
    No skirts

Brakes - Researching with Lego, I have come up with a way to prevent being pushed around. The 4 wheels have changed to metal wheels, and now there is a Carbon-Ceramic brake disc to each wheel. The idea of this is to give better control with the added speed and an inverse effect is that Chalkie has turned into an anti-rammer. The old rubber wheels would have failed under the pressure, so the new lighter metal wheels are in place to give more traction/torque and to prevent ailing. The weight from the brake system is assumed to be 7.5 kg, because of all the small bolts + pipes etc.

Shape - Invertible box, slightly convex sides, and rear to stop landing onto sides/rear. Little wedge on the front like on Son of Wedgie

Velocity - Doing a quick calculation using the linear speed of the wheels give the top speed to be around 28 mph. This is assuming that the coefficient of friction of the arena floor is 1. The acceleration due to friction is pretty fast, compared to most vapourbots. It gets from 0 to 28 mph in a tad under 1.5 metres. The brakes stop it in 20 cm.

Suspension - To stop being damaged when hit by a spinner or rammer, there is rubber mounting around all the components.

Ground Clearance - 1cm all over without skirts and under front wedge. Dead Zero when full skirts are used

Turning Circle - Something really low, like 0.1 M. As this is a tiny displacement, we shall assume it€™s zero.

Electrical Bits and bobs - Storm 2 style speed controllers, aerial is the chassis itself, a couple of gyros and an inbuilt CPU controls the main workings.

Summary - The 3rd generation of Chalkie has arrived, with new skirts, new chassis, and better steering, be scared, be very scared, of my beard.

Strength - Skirts, Weapon, Speed, Anti-spinner, anti-flipper, anti-anti-anti-spinner, and anti-wedge. The handling is prefect, could probably get underneath anything.

Weaknesses - Slightly harder to turn with full skirts in use, the drive system in terms of modern day vapourbots is gutless. Non-damaging weapons.

    Push-Ish Fundamental

    Team Name - Team Solarized

    Robots name - Push-Ish Fundamental

Mass - Hopefully within the weight limit

Drive - It uses a Lem 130 at 48 volts, not the best in horsepower, but twined to the 2-speed gearbox (sorry, I had to go down the custom route) to give either Lem 130 acceleration or torque. The shafts are connected to a limited-slip diff, which has half-shafts going off at right-angles to power the two large wheels. The motor has current limited onto it.

Weapons - To get past the active-weapon rules, I have placed a duel-action linear actuator powered wedge lifter, to lift the wedge clear of any objects and to give a better surface to push against. The little lifting things work at the same time to save weight on only having 2 linear actuators instead of 4. It should lift wheels off the ground if I get underneath anything. The linear actuators push against a pole and this forces the extra wedges to open, think St Argo.

    Can it self-right - Invertible

Speed - In Low gear, the speed is only 8 mph max, because the gearing is 48:1. In high, the speed is ~ 20 mph, but with the acceleration of a lem 130. The gearbox has a complete reserve, with the same speeds and ratios.

Turning - To turn this wedge, a brake is applied to one of the drive axles, as they share a common axle, split with a limited slip differential. This allows a turning circle of 29mm, which isn€™t the end of the world, as we can turn quickly. This system is based on a 360 degree 2-wheeled off-road thing.

Ground clearance - At the front it is dead zero, the sides and rear it ranges from 1mm to 2 cm. However there is now skirts, which are used for fights with flippers. The side skirts are normal skirts which when invertible are useless, and so fall away into the side armour. The rear skirt lifts when going up ramps, allowing for the wheels to stay on the ground

Wheel Type - 4 wheel drive, these wheels are go-kart wheels, solid. There are 2 wheels on each half of the axle, cylinder length 97 mm, connected together with a 3mm plate, giving 197mm. These give excellent traction on all surfaces. Basically a 2 wheel drive machine, but with twin wheels on either side of the axle.

Body Shape: Invertible wedge with a scoped rear.

Armour - Front wedge is solid 4mm Hardox, everywhere else is 8mm RSP-707 TG. On the sides are redundant attachments to protect the wheels to protect them from the ever-growing number of spinners. These attachments are designed to be ripped off without damaging the drive chain. Around the corners, where the armour is bolted to the steel chassis, these are covered in a 1mm layer of aluminium, brushed, and held on by screws. This will stop spinners ripping off the entire panel. Using the theory that however good the armour plate is, it€™s the bolts that are the weakness.

Colour: The robot is lightly sprayed blue

Batteries - Nicads, because I dont know much, we will assume that there is enough battery life to cope with a full 5 minutes with the motor at max and in LR.

Cooling - Because it will get hot, a water-cooling system is used to cool the motor/gearbox to make sure they dont overheat in the heat of battle

Summary - Basic wedge with variable gearing

Strengths - Torque, Acceleration, Weapon to lift up robots

Weakness - The gearbox might fail, turns like a pig.

    Son of Wedgie

    Mass - 100 kg ish

Armour/chassis - I have done a Dantomkia with this robot, replaced the chassis with a lighter but tougher monocoque with all the old stuff being kept inside. The main backbone is a ladder chassis with 5mm steel bars with 4mm titanium welded to the steel. There is still 18mm steel triangles giving strength in the corners. Around the wheel arches is toughen up with extra framework to prevent the armour being pushed back onto the wheels.

Weapon 1 - A backward hinged LP flipper running at 145 psi (10 bars) using an 80mm ram giving about 40 big flips per fight, then it will run on for a long time for self-righting reasons. There is a 3L buffer tank, so it can fire once or twice without the buffer being needed to be fast fed (it will work faster!). These buffer tanks are right at the front of the wedge to stop the front lifting when moving. The flipper is hinged right at the top of the wedge to self-right the robot. At the front of the wedge, the flipper plate widens and runs along the ground, this piece is 2mm steel and is pointed at the front, and it is designed to get underneath full bodied spinners and skirts. However this may get damaged during the fight. The flipper is made from 18mm steel bar, reinforced with triangles, and covered in a 4mm sheet of Aluminium on the top only. The steel is welded together and the cover is bolted onto the steel frame. The hinges are underneath the flipper and to stop pesky axes, the protection is a lump of 5mm steel covering the heavy duty hinge. The ram is covered by a secured net which rises with the flipper. This net can be removed if the rules state that it€™s illegal. There is a flipper extension plate, now shorten than the original, but still is a good 7 CM away from the robot. This is designed to flip 200 kg without bending. I will choice if I should use the plate.

Weapon two - A 3mm Hardox front scoop, this has 2 purposes, to hold the front down and to protect the buffer tanks from axes and spinners.

Weapon Three - Skirts and a secondary front wedge. The skirts aren€™t fancy with torsion springs, just plain basic removable skirts at an angle of 12.3 degree from the x-axis, and the ends are brushed to lie flat against the floor. The secondary wedge is to prevent over-flip.

Shape - Low Wedge, rounded back to self-right the robot. Rollover bars on the sides to stop it landing on its side. The flipper itself has a backwards wedge on it to prevent robots running straight up and over the wedge.

Wheel type - 2-wheel drive, using C40-500 MagMotor, on 36 volts with a 17.8:1 double stage, gearing system, the wheels are 200mm and made out of Volcalone rubber, giving grip. There is a small ball bearing at the front, which makes the front move.

Batteries - The robot is run by 5 packs of 3000mAh NiCDs @ 36 volts. This gives 16 Amps to get though the full 7 minutes of a fight.

Ground Clearance- At front zero, its 1 cm at the rear, and 6mm at the sides without skirts, pretty much zero with the skirts.

Turning Circle - Because of the ground clearance at the back, and the 2 wheel drive chassis this robot can turn on the spot. This could be a weapon against pushers, once spinning the front will lift because of the gyroscopic forces and it will become a full bodied spinner.

Speed - Top speed is 28 mph, fast enough to beat most pushers and slow enough to be controllable, because it€™s normally driven at less than half this speed in a fight with 1 g acceleration.

    Colour - See Picture.

Added Controls - A couple of gyros, expensive speed controllers, high-tech radio control blah blah blah, you get the idea.

Summary - Son of the Wedgie, out to kill house robots near you. I have done a Dantomkia, new chassis, same old inners, why replace what works?

Strengths - Excellent control, acceleration, that flipper, top speed if needed, Low Angled skirts, making this beast very hard to get underneath.

Weaknesses - The flipper isn€™t in the ranks of Stratos (Why need overkill, when a simple flip over the fence will do), the drive system power isn€™t in the same league as Storm 2 (once under, why do you need 10000 horsepower to push against a robot with less traction) The armour isn€™t anti-spinner (Meh, attack first, attack second, defence third), Might not perform that well in enclosed arenas (Flipper + Shorter fights + Might get it somewhere it can€™t self-right).

    P.C.C.

Mass - The chassis itself with no weapons fitted weighs in at 73 kg (give or take 0.5 kg). The heaviest weapon setup tips the scales at 100 kg.

The main weapon is interchangeable, the options are:

Weapon 1a - An invertible flipping arm(think of Big Nipper), this arm is designed to work both ways around and is not designed to lift above 30 degree in either direction, as the stroke of the double ended custom piston is only 30 Cms, but with Co2, at 750 psi on the twin pistons should send a robot into the air.

Weapon 1b - A vertical drum weapon, the drum weighs 12.1 kg, and is tri belt driven using a simple ratio from a MagMotor at 36 volts. The speed at which the drum does its famous flipping routine is about 1251 rpm, so we run it at about 1250 rpm. Used mainly against skirted machines.

Weapon 1c - A horizontal spinning bar, weighing 10 kg, the motor is the same motor from the drum, but connected to the bar using 4 chains on a shaft. Runs about 2000 rpm. Used mainly against machines with exposed frame and weapons.

Weapon 1d - This weapon is a four tooth blade, running at 2000 rpm, the good thing of this blade is that it can be adjusted heights, so one fight it could be at ground level for wheels and the next fight if fixed it can be at the right height to hit something else. The system for spin is the same setup as the bar.

Weapon 1e - A spike, this is run at 1000 psi co2 and fires about 150 mph. The spike can fire about 20 times per fight, so it should be used wisely.

Weapon 1f - This is a passive scoop, used for 100 kg competitions. The scoop itself weighs 24 kg of solid steel, which will be enough to stop about 50% of spinners. The cool thing is a little flail, such as on Hurricane 2, is on the wedge to make it active. The scoop has an invertible tip on the top to make it work upside down. It is connected to the robot by long bolts, so there is a chance it could come off.

Weapon 1g - This is an €˜active€™ anti spinner scoop. It is designed to flex backwards with the forces from the spinner. The twin shocks are designed to be adjusted to allow for mega energy levels, at its maximum tightness the scoop can re-stand a massive 1 MJ of kinetic energy. The normal running tightness can re-stand 100 kJ; because of the smooth, oiled piston in which the main spring is stored it creates a virtually zero friction levels. Then the fun can begin, as the energy is released in what Andy said, one massive amount, pushing the spinner anti-clockwise, which in some cases will destroy the shaft. This bias to the left can be changed to the right. The centre pole is held within an oiled shaft which makes damage zero. To protect the back of the scoop and the front of the robot, there is a piece of 1cm rubber either side of the shock zone. For protection, there are torsion spring loaded side panels, which protect the inners of the scoop and flex outwards when the scoop is loaded.

Weapon 1h - The Pie tossing weapon. This is a full 750 psi flipper, with a Wedge Devolution style front plate. Baby, Seggy has a proper flipper to toss those annoying robots over the fence.

Weapons (b, c, d, e and f) have a little front wedge fitted, this is to prevent robots from getting underneath, and can be removed.

Weapon 2 - 4 rear spikes, each one weighing 150 grams and are fixed. These give protection from ramming and spinners at the rear end.

Can it self-right - It€™ is semi-invertible, so that only the rear two wheels are open to attack. Even if the rear wheels taken to pieces, the front two wheels are enough to move. Side rollover cages and rear spikes prevent landing on side or rear.

Velocity - I lost to speed in the past, this time I have increased the speed to take on the speedy robots that are around today. The maximum speed is 30 mph. HOWEVER, the normal speed used in fights is 18 mph, which gives the best control and punch, twinned with the gearing, the acceleration is high.

Turning Circle - The 4 wheels use a skid-steer method. This gives a turning circle of zero mm; however the true turning circle is something like 1mm.

Ground clearance - The ground clearance all over the machine is 20mm, this giving aid to turning, the front has an optioned wedge, which is fixed with some weapons without a scoop (drum, spinners). The skirts reduce the ground clearance to zero

Skirts - This version; I have finally got some skirts to fit against flippers and wedges. These are normal skirts, which when inverted fold back on themselves, when the electromagnet is released. The skirts hold down with a force about 2000 Newtons, meaning that I don€™t normally like them, because of the added resistance and the lack of moment€™s.
    .
Wheel Type - This is new, 2 LEM 130€™s at 36 volts, though a double chain reduction gearbox, giving overall 17.5:1 reduction. The chains themselves are protected by axes and crushers by the use of a steel protection bar. The 4 wheels are lovely go-kart wheels, solid; the inner parts are aluminium with a coating of storm 2 style rubber.

With the front wheels being smaller than the rear wheels, the gearing is different to counter-act the forces, so that both sets run at the same speed. The average gearing is 17.5:1.

Body Shape: Semi-invertible box (i.e. 4 wheels on the bottom, 2 wheels on the top) with rear spikes and side roll-over bars.

Chassis - The robot is a 6mm steel monocoque. The chassis is enforced with 18mm steel triangles giving a very tough little robot. The first weapon will fit within a large cut-out in the robot.

Colour: - It is a shade of yellow, with metallic threads within the paint, sprayed on to give it about 2mm of paint. When the scoops are fitted, the cut-out is covered with 5mm of knitted nylon.

Batteries - The robot is run by 3 packs of 3000mAh NiCad€™s @ 36 volts. This gives 9 Amps to get though the full 5 minutes of a fight. There is a simple recharging battery to recharge the batteries throughout the fight to keep it going.

Summary - The 4th version. The 3rd version did me well, but it had some problems, now, I have a proper flipper, faster and tougher front wheel gearing to cope with the different sizes, ladies and gentlemen please, meet Seggy 4. The Predetermined Confrontation Contraption. Carlsberg don€™t make robots, but if they did they would be the best robots in the world.

Strengths - Interchangeable weapons to suit everybody, speed, control, power.

Weaknesses - Some might say it€™s a jack of all trades, master of none.

    The Circle Revisited

    Mass - 98 Kg Ish

Weapons - 150 psi THZ style axe. Enough said

    Can it self-right - Axe

    Velocity - 21 mph

Acceleration - Gets to speed within a metre

    Turning Circle - Sod off

Ground clearance - Under body - 5mm, under bars - 1cm, under wedge - Not enough to worry your little head off dearly

    Skirts - Nah

    Wheel Type - 4 wheels

    Motors - Lem 130€™s like storm 2

Body Shape - It€™s a circle, but around the outside is a fully-floating hoop which is held onto the chassis by a series of well oiled bearings, so that the hoop spins when hit by anything. Perfect for an anti-spinner. The hoop can be replaced with a front and rear wedge to make the robot a dangerous axe machine.

Armour - The hoop has a 1cm steel bar twisted into a hoop and strengthen by a bike style wheel. Around the bar itself is 2cm of hard rubber. The main chassis is a mixture of titanium, steel, and aluminium. The top and bottom being 4mm titanium to stop axes and crushers, the chassis is 5mm steel box section and the sides of the chassis is aluminium.

Colour - Pink with Yellow Spots

Summary - Circle of Life + THZ + Tornado + Storm 2 = Circle Revisited

Strengths - Horizontal Spinners, That Axe

    Weaknesses - Ground Clearance, Stupidest.

We All Face the Same Way (it takes all day)

    Shorten Name - WAFT

    Mass - about 99.5 kg

Weapon -The main weapon on WAFT is the crusher, powered by hydraulics at 2500 psi. Picture 2 shows the linkage to the ram. The crusher can get down in 5 seconds flat because of the linkage. WAFT has also twin self-righter like on Wedgie; these are based into the robot and powered by a windscreen wiper motor on 12 volts. The rear spike as shown in picture 1 is just used for three purposes, 1 to put a mug of coffee on in the pits and two to ram into robots in case the crusher breaks, and thirdly so that the robot when flipped does not end up on its back, because it can not get balanced on it€™s back without the self-righter getting grip on the floor.

Shape - As shown in picture 1, the shape is a long low wedge with a box end. The back is rounded with a spiked section on the rear. The front has a Hardox strip to aid getting underneath over robots.

Drive - The drive is 2-wheel drive with 2 steering wheels at the front, the drive is shown in picture 3, and is driven by two Bosch 750€™s at 36 volts and with shafts and limited slip differentials. The front two steering wheels can turn to a maximum of 60 degree because of the car steering; both can turn at different angles thanks to the London taxi arms. An Electric window motor at 6 volts (sound familiar) turns each wheel and the steering is shown in picture 4.

Armour - Because of the drive and weapons the armour has been taken down, the outer armour is 3mm Ti/V alloy on top of the wedge and 5mm Ti/V on the sides and bottom. The chassis is made of 20mm steel bar section with triangular strengths.

Ground Clearance -The front is dead zero nothing can get underneath it. The sides and rear is 3mm, and there are no skirts to stop turning

Turning Circle -Because of the car style turning, this robot can turn a 360-degree turn on the spot thanks to the 4 wheels. It is like a 2 wheel drive Axlebot with a large front.

Velocity - This is the cool part, because of the shafts and motors, this robot can travel at 28 mph and turn. It gets to its top speed in 2 seconds, giving an acceleration of a cool 7 m/s/s.

Skirts - No skirts around the rear or sides.

Wheel Type - The rear wheels has special rubber pads around the outside to give buckets of grip, if grip comes in buckets. The front wheels are more spheres with fixed metal plates fixed to them to give the better turning.

Colour: The robot is an unpainted to save that little bit of weight.

Dimensions: Length is 637mm from tip of spike to wedge. The width is 302mm in the widest point. The height of WAFT from the top to bottom is 305mm. All the motors and electrics can be removed within 10 minutes because the whole robot is very low tech. This means that damage can always be fixed and if the rules allow, interchangeable weapons to be put in place.

Summary - I needed a crusher robot, and so after much though in the library at college drawn a proto-type and using the strengths from SEGv and Wedgie, managed to get this ultra-tough robot. This robot will be the base for my new modular robot coming soon.

Strengths - Crusher, speed, size, unpainted so it could be hard to see in a grey coloured arena. Will always self-right

Weaknesses - Unpainted so it could be hard to see in a grey coloured arena, slow crusher, very low tech.

Random Fact - Team New Age€™s first crusher since the Drusher series. Movie star do not know where you are.

    Heres Danny!

    Featherweight

    Name: Critical Damage
    Weight: 12kg
Armour: None, the robot has an exo-skeleton shell like Crusher from Series 3 of Robot Wars.
    Speed: 12mph
Shape: Invertible bevelled wedge with sloping sides and back
Weapon 1: A vertical chain flail coming up from the wedge, powered by a LEM130 motor running at 48v geared down 5:1 giving 1440RPM top speeds.
    Strengths: Powerful weaponry
    Weaknesses: No armour
Ground Clearance: 1cm at back, 0mm on sides and front.
    Srimech: Invertible
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 12v drill motors which gives 12mph top speeds. The flail is basically 2 pieces of heavy duty chain welded onto a small piece of aluminium. This spins at 1440RPM and can reach top speeds almost instantly. The wheels have screws embedded in them to aid in traction.

    Lightweight

    Name: Triskaidekaphobia
    Weight: 28kg (Lightweight)
    Armour: 2mm Aluminium
    Speed: 10mph
    Shape: Low triangle shape
Weapon 1: A 3 armed spinning rotor powered by a S15-250 MagMotor running at 24v. On each of the arms is a small 3kg sledgehammer with a pointed tip. The spinner is geared down 4:1 for a faster spin up time.
Strengths: Powerful weaponry and quite quick.
Weaknesses: No srimech and poor armour.
Ground Clearance: 1cm, but to get to it youll have to eat spinning sledgehammers
    Srimech: None
Notes: The robot is run on 2 S15-250 MagMotors running at 12v, which gives 10mph top speed.

    Middleweight

    Name: Purer
    Weight: 55kg
Armour: 6mm Aluminium Boron Carbite (really strong and quite light)
    Speed: 18mph
Shape: Invertible box with 2 inner wheels.
Weapon 1: A low pressure flipper powered by CO2 gas.
    Strengths: Great speed.
Weaknesses: Weight disadvantage exposed wheels on top
    Ground Clearance: 1cm all around
    Srimech: Invertible.
Notes: The robot has 2 go kart wheels powered by 2 S28-400 MagMotors running at 24v. The battery used is a 60 5000mah D Cell NiCad Battery pack producing 15Amp at 24V. This means the robot travels at roughly 18mph, which is quite quick for a robot! The flipper is made from 4mm Titanium, and is really lightweight, weighing only 5kg. Inside the robot is a 1.1kg fire extinguisher containing the CO2, which is fired through a 100mm ram bore, able to flip 55kg almost 1m off the ground and have 22 flips per match.

    Super Heavyweight

    Name: Out of Bounds
    Weight: 100kg
Armour: 9mm Hardox ring spinner and 7mm Titanium flipper/wedge.
    Speed: 8mph
Shape: It is a ring spinner with a front wedge.
Weapon 1: The main body is a ring spinner made from 9mm Hardox, with Titanium teeth all over it. It is powered by 2 LEM130 motors at 48v geared down 3:1. This means the body can reach a top speed of 4800RPM. The disc weighs a total of 48kg.
Weapon 2: A spinning kinetic powered flipper, based on Team Whyachi€™s €œWarrior SKF€. It uses the kinetic energy from the disc to power the flipper, meaning it can flip with a total of 408KJ of energy.
Strengths: Unique and powerful weaponry. Good control.
Weaknesses: Takes a long time to self right due to the disc needing to spin up successfully.
Ground Clearance: 0mm at front and sides of flipper, 5mm at back due to ring spinner.
Srimech: The flipper can successfully self right the robot.
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 800w 36v DC motors giving 8mph top speeds. The wheels are made from Vulcalon, and have screws embedded in them to help gan traction on the arena floor. The ring spinner is powered by 2 LEM130 motors at 48v geared down 3:1. This means the body can reach a top speed of 4800RPM. There are 15 1€ cubed Titanium teeth all over the horizontal spinner, giving it 408KJ of energy on impact. The flipper works because there is an eccentric land on top of the spinning ring. The top link connected to the flipper plate has a groove in it, when fired the top link engages with the spinner land and pulls backward flipping the plate up. At the front of the flipper there is a 1cm Titanium €œnose€ with a sharpened edge designed to get under all skirts and ground clearances. All the electrics are kept within the 50cm diameter of the ring spinner.

    Heavyweights

Name: Supreme Glory Gamma (Replacing Supreme Glory Beta)
    Weight: 100kg
Armour: 20mm Lexan and LexiGuard compound
    Speed: 8mph
    Shape: Pyramid shaped
Weapon 1: An 11kg Aluminium alloy axe powered by a 60v Etek, capable of generating 3Kj of force per hit.
Strengths: Strong armour and very manoeuvrable.
Weaknesses: Axe only works if something is in front or behind the robot.
Ground Clearance: 0mm all around due to skirts.
Srimech: The axe self rights the robot.
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 x 800watt 36v DC motors giving 8mph top speed. The 2 wheels are made from Ti/V alloy and coated in Vulcalore to aid in traction. The robot is covered in 20mm Lexan and LexiGuard compound. The axe weighs a total of 11kg and is shaped like Excaliburs axe from series 3 of Robot Wars. This shape is designed to focus all the force on a single point, meaning it can pierce through armour easily. The axe can give 3Kj of force per hit, roughly the same as Beta. The tips of the axe are covered in a thin layer of carbon, so if it fights a robot with Titanium armour, it can get through the armour even easier. To stop the robot from hopping about when the axe is fired, the robot incorporates a vacuum system. This can be switched on and off during a battle to allow for manoeuvrability and superior traction when static. The skirts on SGG are made from Grade 5 Titanium and are held in place by hinges.

    Name: Squishiest
    Weight: 100kg
    Armour: 4mm Grade 5 Titanium
    Speed: 20mph
    Shape: Low wedge
Weapon 1: A very powerful hydraulic crusher, with 14 tonnes of pressure at the tip.
Strengths: Very powerful crusher and strong armour. Good pushing power and good speed.
    Weaknesses: Slow srimech.
Ground Clearance: 0mm at front due to wrinkler device. 5mm at sides and 1cm at back.
Srimech: It uses a set of Razer style wings.
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 LEM130 Lynch motors running at 36v, giving 20mph top speed and pushing power equivalent to 18HP. The robot has 6 inner Vulcalore wheels, which give tremendous traction. The crusher itself is made from 4mm Hardox, with 300 weight reducing holes. It is powered by an M-Mac M40 Hydraulic Actuator running at 12v, which can give 14 tonnes of pressure. The actuator has already been used in Robotic Combat, so this robot is realistic. The tip of the crusher is coated in carbon, so it can rip through Titanium easily. For the weapon to function properly, the robot contains 12 x 9.6-volt NiMh Radio Controlled Car Batteries, each weighing 12oz.

    Name: Manic Monsoon
    Weight: 100kg
    Armour: 5mm Hardox all over.
    Speed: Roughly 28mph
Shape: Box wedge with side skirts and rounded back.
Weapon 1: A linear actuator powered lifter running by a 4 bar system at 24v. This can lift 200kg easily.
Weapon 2: A small strip of Grade 5 Titanium on the front wedge, which gives 0mm ground clearance.
Strengths: Powerful drive and good strong weapon
Weaknesses: A bit too fast and hard to control when at full speed.
Ground Clearance: 0mm on front and sides, 1cm at back.
Srimech: Invertible, but can self right using the lifter if wanted to.
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 B42-500 MagMotors running at 60v. This gives Monsoon approx 60HP! The robot has a total of 6 wheels, 3 on each side. Each side is linked together by a set of heavy duty belts, giving 0m turning circle and the manoeuvrability of a 2 wheeled bot, and each wheel is coated in Vulcalon. The front wedge is angled at 42.5 degrees, meaning that it is not too steep or too shallow. The lifting arm is powered by a S28-150 MagMotor, and is made from 7075 Aluminium. The lifter itself can lift a total of 200kg, and can self right the robot if needs be. The side skirts are made from 4mm Titanium and are hinged.

    Name: Dervish //
    Weight: 100kg
Armour: 10mm Aluminium Boron Carbite, with 5mm Lexiguard inside that to protect electronics.
    Speed: 14mph
    Shape: Invertible cylinder, like Barberous
Weapon 1: Spinning body which spins upwards, so it can flip its opponents.
Strengths: Powerful weaponry and very manoeuvrable
    Weaknesses: Exposed wheels.
    Ground Clearance: 7mm all around
    Srimech: Invertible
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 C40-500 MagMotors with 4 36v packs and geared down 20:1, giving the robot a top speed of 14mph. Both wheels are based around Stinger, but have Vulcalore trims to aid in traction. The spinning body is made from 10mm Aluminium Boron Carbite, with 5mm Lexiguard inside that. The spinning body has Carbon tipped blades and Grade 5 Titanium blades attached all over it, so it can destroy all matters of armour. The body itself is powered by 2 LEM 130s running at 36v via 4 packs. This means the drum spins at approx 2500RPM. This should be enough power to destroy a robot in a matter of seconds.

    Name: Sonic Boom
    Weight: 100kg
Armour: 1cm thick Hardox wheel hubs, 5mm Hardox axe head and 5mm thick axe pole. The axle joining the 2 wheels is made from 6mm Titanium and Vanadium alloy.
    Speed: 28mph.
Shape: The robot is an axlebot based around Stinger.
Weapon 1: A momentum powered axe, which can come down with 800kgs of force.
Strengths: Hard to grab hold off and very tough armour. Great manoeuvrability.
    Weaknesses: Poor pushing power.
    Ground Clearance: 10mm.
    Srimech: The robot is invertible.
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 LEM 130s, giving 28mph top speeds. The wheels are made from aircraft grade Aluminium, with Hardox wheel hubs and thick rubber treads. All the electronics, batteries and wiring are hidden inside the wheels. The 1cm thick wheel hubs should mean that nothing can damage the innards of Sonic Boom. To save weight on the robot, the wheels are only 20cm high, but are also 20cm wide, increasing traction on the arena floor. The axe head is modelled on Stingers axe from series 4 of Robot Wars, but is a lot tougher due to the 50cm, 5mm Hardox axe pole and 5mm Hardox axe head. The axe is momentum powered, meaning that when the robot stops moving from a charge, the axe swings over head and hits what ever is in front of it. This method of weaponry is not accurate most of the time, but when it does hit, it can cause a lot of damage. The 10mm ground clearance all over the robot should stop it getting stuck on arena obstacles.

    Name: Artemis
    Weight: 100kg
Armour: 11mm Titanium all over the main body and wedge, with a 12mm Titanium strip on the wedge to help get underneath the opponent.
    Dimensions: 70 x 80 x 16 (L x W x H)
    Speed: 14mph
    Shape: Box with front wedge
Weapon 1: A very powerful flipping and piercing spike, powered by a double torsion spring. The setup is very similar to Red Square from Battlebots. It uses a very powerful double torsion spring to fire the spike.
Weapon 2: A medium sized, low pressure CO2 powered arm the runs along the width of the robot. This can be used to self right the robot.
Strengths: Powerful weaponry, compact, strong armour, good speed and pushing power.
    Weaknesses: Useless against axlebots.
Ground Clearance: 0mm at front due to hinged skirt, 4mm on sides and back.
    Srimech: The CO2 powered arm.
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 LEM130 motors running at 36v. To give strong, powerful drive, the robot has 6 Vulcalon wheels a skid steer mechanism. The spring used to retract the spike is a double torsion spring, compressed by a PERM 080 motor running at 36v geared down 30:1. The spike comes out of the front wedge, and can damage and flip its opponent. The flipper/srimech system is as follows:

    Gas reservoir size 1.1 kg
    Regulated pressure (Pb) 16 bars
    Regulator flow (Fr) 900 litres/min
Buffer tank volume (Vt) 1 litres
Combined valve flow (Fv) 1722 litres/min
    Pipe outside diameter 12 mm
    Pipe inside diameter mm
No of pipes feeding ram 1
    Pipe length 0.1 m
    Ram bore 100 mm
    Ram stroke 200 mm
    Number of rams 1
    Back pressure (PQ) 0.5 bars
    Flipper geometry type 0
Mass of flipper (Mf) 10 kg
Mass to throw (M) 100 kg
    Regulator variation 5 %

This means we have 22 flips per bottle and can flip an opponent 66cm off the ground. The spike itself is made from 4mm Hardox, and is carbon tipped to damage Titanium armouring.

Name: Pure Evil: Revenge of the Disc
    Weight: 100kg
Armour: 7mm Hardox ring spinner and 4mm Titanium flipper/wedge.
    Speed: 8mph
Shape: It is a ring spinner with a front wedge.
Weapon 1: The main body is a ring spinner made from 7mm Hardox, with Titanium teeth all over it. It is powered by a LEM130 motor at 48v geared down 3:1. This means the body can reach a top speed of 2400RPM. The disc weighs a total of 38kg.
Weapon 2: A spinning kinetic powered flipper, based on Team Whyachi€™s €œWarrior SKF€. It uses the kinetic energy from the disc to power the flipper, meaning it can flip with a total of 298KJ of energy.
The ring spinner is powered by a LEM130 motor at 48v geared down 3:1. This means the body can reach a top speed of 2400RPM. There are 15 1€ cubed Titanium teeth all over the horizontal spinner, giving it 298KJ of energy on impact. The flipper works because there is an eccentric land on top of the spinning ring. The top link connected to the flipper plate has a groove in it, when fired the top link engages with the spinner land and pulls backward flipping the plate up. At the front of the flipper there is a 4mm Titanium €œnose€ with a sharpened edge designed to get under all skirts and ground clearances. All the electrics are kept within the 1m diameter of the ring spinner.

Cant wait to test out Artemis and Pure Evil: Revenge of the Disc out . This looks as if it will be the best series yet!

I will be reentering SpinVerter, UltraVerter & SpunOut, the former preferably in IV form if you have it. This will, barring a win, be SpinVerters last tournament.

    Name: Ze Newie
    Motivation: Wheeled (x 4, 120mm diameter)
    Speed: 16.02 KM/H (10.01 MPH)
    Weight: 96.93kg maximum.
    Height: 250mm down to 156mm.
    Length: 956mm
    Width: 790mm
Ground Clearance: 12mm at sides and rear, ~0 at front with the shovel.
Weapon: The €œweapon€ so to speak is a pneumatic Biohazard-style arm. It€™s powered by two 100mm bore, 140mm stroke rams at 150psi, giving enough force to throw other bots over with ease. However, its purpose is more to self-right the robot than anything (35 flips, mainly conserved for that purpose), as the main weapon is in the indestructible nature of the robot and the power of the drivetrain.
Drive: The drive is a pair of Perm PMG-132 motors at 36V (or 48V if the competition allows, kicking the speed up about 5-odd KM/H and increasing the torque likewise). They€™re geared down 4:1 onto a pair of 150mm hardox-hubbed wheels with Vulcanised rubber tires, and in the same gap chain-driven to the front pair of identical wheels (no geardown, of course). The torque & ramming power this thing has is incredible, especially with the traction.
Batteries: 6 x 24V 3Amp Battlepacks, giving 36V 12Ah. Another two can easily be added to give 48V 12Ah if the rules apply. All are shock-mounted to the chassis.
Chassis/Armour: The chassis acts as the armour in places; its solid (drilled) 30mm x 30mm Titanium/Vanadium Grade 5 alloy bars with holes drilled to keep weight down.
The armour varies in places; the wheel guards are 15mm Titanium/Vanadium alloy, the main body plates either side of the €˜weapon€™ are 20mm Ti/V and the back plate is 17.5mm Ti/V. The shovel, which almost acts as the front armour, is 20mm Hardox with the 15mm Ti/V front plates behind it.
Electronics: Runs a RoboWars.org BMC speed controller with Hitec Focus SS-3 75mhz PCM 3ch Radio and a 3-axis computer Gyro for maxium control and handling. Uses 150amp rated Anderson power pole connectors and locking pins. Electronics are shock mounted and mounting in a floating style encased in HD (High Density) foam.
Notes: The arm provides enough kinetic energy to overcome the inertia of the robot and flip it back over with ease and in a controlled fashion. The robot€™s driving ease cannot be overstated; half of the purpose the robot serves is to prove that ease of driving can outdo the most powerful, but uncontrollable, weapon. It corners like a dream on skid-steering and has brute force enough to outdo the pushiest of pushbots.

The other half of the purpose is to attempt to create an €˜immovable object€™ to match all the €˜irresistable forces€™ people are aiming at. Try breaking this one down; its impossible.

    Name: Automatic Schmuck
    Motivation: Wheeled (x 4, 120mm diameter main, 30mm €˜castor€™ front wheels)
    Speed: 24.16KM/H (15.10 MPH)
    Weight: 98.42kg
Height: 130mm at peak; variable from 28mm upwards.
    Length: 870mm
    Width: 743mm
Ground Clearance: 0 at sides w/ skirting, 0 at rear with €˜hinged€™ wedge, 0 at front with wedge; 12mm at the point nearest the back wheels otherwise, down to 5mm at the front wheels.
Weapon: 17.14kg kinetic-energy bar. 13.10kg, 111.2cm long bar, 2 2.02kg hardox weights (one at each end). It€™s powered by a C40-300 on a separate power supply at 24V, which when geared down 2.4:1 gives me a safe 1700RPM (spin-up = less than 0.5 seconds), and a heck of a lot of KE to transfer at the tips. The weapon system is held securely in place on steel box-section supports parallel to the wedged top of the robot, minimizing shock output to the rest of the robot.
Drive: 4 S28-300 3€ MagMotors, 2 on each rear wheel, on 24V. This gives me easily 10HP and a lot fo torque despite the healthy speed.
Batteries: 2 x 24V 3Ah Battlepacks (drive), 2 x 12V 3Ah Battlepacks (weapon). They are all shock-mounted, and slot together due to the unique curving on the outside of Battlepacks, allowing secure holding.
    Chassis/Armour:
    Chassis: 30 x 30 x 4mm Ti/V box section.
Armour: 13mm Ti/V all round. The skirting is 9mm Hardox plating, as they are all very small, and the two wedges are made from 6mm Hardox plating.
Notes: Spinning upside down, paired with the wedged style of the bot, allows a very quick & easy form of self-righting. Designed to knock the shit through some more superbots, for old times€™ sake.

    AMP OF DOOM!

    Motivation: Wheeled (x 4, 100mm diameter main, 30mm castors)
    Speed: 16.20 km/h (10.125MPH)
    Weight: 27kg maximum.
Height: 150mm, 190mm with control panel.
    Length: 190mm
    Width: 370mm
Ground Clearance: 8mm at front, sides and rear. 2kg of ballast and most of the components close to the floor makes it very, very hard to flip though.
Weapon: Drivetrain. It does have an active srimech behind the control panel powered by a third S28-150 on 12V. This rights it quickly & easily.
    Drive: 2 x mini-PERMs on 24V geared down 7:1 onto 100mm custom-built vulcanized-rubber wheels on titanium hubs.
    Batteries: 2 x 24V 3Ah Battlepacks.
Chassis/Armour: 10mm Grade 5 Ti/V alloy monocoque with steel corner protectors. It also has a 5mm Titanium grille on the front, made from many small straight pieces of 5mm Grade 5 to tangle and deflect spinners.
Electronics: Runs a RoboWars.org IBC speed controller with Hitec Focus SS-3 75mhz PCM 3ch Radio and a 3-axis computer Gyro for maxium control and handling.
This thing has ultimate driving ease, is impossible to break down in any way and has great pushing power, especially at this level.

    THE CABINET!

    Motivation: Wheeled (x 4, 100mm diameter main, 30mm castors)
    Speed: 16.20 km/h (10.125MPH)
    Weight: 52kg maximum.
Height: 150mm, 190mm with control panel.*
    Length: 190mm*
    Width: 370mm*
(dimensions not including cabinet in front, which is 190 x 520 x 400)
Ground Clearance: 8mm at front, sides and rear. 2kg of ballast and most of the components close to the floor makes it very, very hard to flip though.
Weapon: 1kW 14€ Celestion speaker inside the cabinet, enough to easily blow a super-heavyweight backwards on kinetic energy alone. It operates at 17Hz (below human hearing range) at roughly 150dB, 1000 times the threshold of pain.
    Drive: 2 x C40-300s on 24V geared down 7:1 onto 100mm custom-built vulcanized-rubber wheels on titanium hubs.
    Batteries: 4 x 24V 3Ah Battlepacks.
This thing has ultimate driving ease, is impossible to break down in any way and has great pushing power, especially at this level.

Both, as a result of the extra 20kg available, have an upgrade on the motors and batteries.

The petrol-powered shell aka IDIOT is in another tournament, I will repost the stats here if you wish, but I dont have them on me.

My real bot will be Napalm I (S2).

Steve: I would like to change two thigns on UltraVerter from the stats entered before, so if possible could you forward me the stats? Cheers.
