ABTS will go for Flippa Frenzay, and try to either KO him, or immobilise the flipper, then open the pit and go for BADer. I should be able to avoid The Angel due to its slow speed.

Ill go for Megabyte first, just to help Steve out. Is this Andys Megabyte, or the realie? Ill flip it into the air, and hopefully damage it when it lands, either by having the batteries knocked out of place, or by having the spinner stopped by being bent. After that, Ill give it another flip before getting bored of it, and pitting it. Then Ill do a bit of a celebration flip, before becoming bored and hunting Vlad the Impaler. IIRC, its invertible, so Ill give it a flip before flipping it again, and trying to get a basket . If the battle hasnt been ceased by then, Ill show Chaos 2 who the daddy is

Flippa Frenzay Mk 6s Tactics:
I should be able to manouver over to the side of Ankle Biter the Second, and flip it around, and get it down the pit. Then Ill go for the side of BADer and push it into AOTA, which should do some nice damage to BADer, and then Ill pit BADer once its been badly damaged.

BTW, Glad to have Storm 2 in the semis, I thought Id never make. Great tourney thus far!

Ah shat! I havent even started them :S Can I just enter an old bot instead as that way I have no advantage over my opponents by handing in stats late? Will probably just enter Flea or something else in.

Welcome to VFT6 - so far, this series is turning out to be a tough contest for all, and with the quality of robots in it, Heat J will be no exception!

Fourteenth seed Angel Of The Abyss made an impressive debut in VFT5 when it got to the top 16 by smashing up Gravity, Mute and Southside Spinner Max, until The Disc 2 halted its progress by smacking and pitting it! Angel Of The Abyss is a walker, using a Cheeky Boy walking system, but it can only get up to 8mph! But it makes up for that with its two layered spinning system - the upper layer spins as a defence, while the lower layer is more powerful, with an 89kj output, and both layers have blades to knock an opponent away and/or cause damage! Prongs on top allow Angel Of The Abyss to selfright, but it has very low pushing power, and could be shoved into the abyss that is the pit!

30th seed Chaos 2 is competing in its fourth VFT - so far, its had two Round 2s and one heat final, making it to Round 2 last time where it was rammed around and pitted by Annoying Box Rush! Of course, we all know Chaos 2 from RW, where it remains the only robot to win two championships, RW3 and 4, with its good engineering, speed, manouverability and mighty CO2 powered flipper! However, Chaos 2 has been looking rather tired in its latest performances - it has a high ground clearance for other flippers, and can be beaten by powerful spinners. Will Chaos 2 be off to the retirement home too soon for its liking?

Ankle Biter The Second, named after a middleweight Battlebot, is a low invertable box robot - its weapon is a 24kg drum that spins at 10,000rpm, which can be retracted into the body to stop it being stalled when spinning up! Matt Robinson hopes this is the next MDU in the making! Ankle Biter The Second also has thick 10mm titanium armour, but it isnt the most powerful pusher in the Vapourbot world!

B.A.Der stands for Blink And Die, and this robot hopes anyone it meets will do just that! Its a box slanting downwards until it becomes a wedge at the front, but it can run inverted thanks to its large wheels and castors! On the wedge is a spinning drum, which will hit anyone going up the wedge, and can still work when inverted, although the wedge wont! B.A.Der is very fast at 25mph, with good pushing power and acceleration, but it also has a high ground clearance, and the electromagnet designed to make the wedge extra low wont work on the non magnetic floor of the VFT arena!

Flippa Frenzay Mk6 appeared in VFT4, where it reached Round 2, only to be eaten and spat out by the eventual runner up Gigavirus! Its a low wedge, with sloping sides and back, and it has a pneumatic flipper which also acts as a srimech! Skirts help keep other flippers away, but theres a high ground clearance behind them - will Flippa Frenzay Mk6 have to be rebuilt again?

Megabyte is an American realie - a circular dome robot with a spinner on top, that has two steel spikes attached to take a mega byte out of anyone that gets too close! It also has a mast on top, to hopefully aid selfrighting! Since Battlebots, Megabyte has been doing well in live events with its powerful spinner - its last given record was 20-3, and its fought superheavyweights and won! (See http://www.geocities.com/mstiescott/sdc_1.htmlhttp://www.geocities.com/mstiescott/sdc_1.html for a picture of what its like now - the picture doesnt show the mast, though, but it says it does normally have one.) Will it get a similarly impressive record in its first time in VFT?

Stratosfear, a spiritual replacement for All Stars runner up Maximum Velocity, is described as Wheely Big Cheese with four wheel drive! This four wheel drive axlebot will try to send all comers to the stratosphere with its nitrogen powered flipper, capable of flipping a tonne, and it hopes the shock of impact will kill its opponents! Stratosfear has high acceleration for its 15mph top speed, but will its exposed wheel pods be vulnerable?

And Vlad The Impaler 2 hasnt been seen here since the long gone days of VFT1, where it failed to get past Round 1, sent down the pit by Wrath! This low box robot, shaped like its superheavyweight sibling Vladiator, has a lifting plate at the front and back, for lifting and ramming anything in its way! Vlad The Impaler 2 is well armoured and invertable, but will it have problems with control, as Vladiator does?

In melee number 1, four powerful robots - Angel Of The Abyss, Ankle Biter The Second, B.A.Der and Flippa Frenzay Mk6!

3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Angel Of The Abyss quickly began spinning and turned towards Flippa Frenzay Mk6, who went towards Ankle Biter The Second, who was being threatened by BADer! Being the fastest, BADer rammed into Ankle Biters side and began carrying it towards AOTA while grinding away with the drum! However, Flippa Frenzay suddenly appeared and flipped Ankle Biter away - unfortunately, this gave BADer a new victim, and it rammed Flippa Frenzay into the waiting 14th seed! Flippa Frenzay whirled away from the impact, its side dented, while AOTA came after it! Ankle Biter reappeared, and BADer had to dodge it, but this allowed Flippa Frenzay to run into its side, and turn it towards AOTA! But before they got there, Ankle Biter intervened, tossing BADer away with its drum and hitting Flippa Frenzay in the flipper! Now inverted, BADer ran back into Ankle Biters side and shoved it into the approaching AOTA, which sent it spinning away! But BADer couldnt escape before Flippa Frenzay tossed it into AOTA, who was becoming a new arena hazard here! BADer flew away, landing right side up, its wheels damaged and a little wobbly! Meanwhile, Flippa Frenzay was glanced in the front by AOTA as it tried to reverse out of danger, punching another dent in the flipper!
Disorientated, Flippa Frenzay Mk6 was attacked by both Ankle Biter The Second and BADer - Ankle Biters drum slashed the front some more, as BADer shoved it right back into AOTA and let it fly away, another wound in its side! Ankle Biter managed to hit BADer in the side as it reversed, tilting it so it could hit the wheels and cause more damage, buckling the front ones, overturning BADer and slowing it! Ankle Biter then turned to escape Flippa Frenzays charge and strike it again, just as BADer shoved from the rear, allowing it to hit Flippa Frenzay as it was tilted, whacking the underbelly and turning Flippa Frenzay over! But Ankle Biter didnt get the chance to hit Flippa Frenzay again, as BADer took it round into Angel Of The Abyss! The 14th seed hit along the side of both robots, sending them off! It then scuttled towards Flippa Frenzay, who had managed to selfright, and managed to run around it towards Ankle Biter, who was being shoved by BADer again! Getting underneath, it flipped Ankle Biter over, then quickly came under BADer and gave it a flip into AOTA! The wheels of BADer took more damage as it was turned - it was still mobile when it landed, but wobbled and moved slower! Flippa Frenzay then saw Ankle Biter attacking again, and turned to meet it with the flipper, which took another blow as it flipped, and was left bent and retracting slowly! Unfortunately, AOTA was still close by, and whacked Flippa Frenzay Mk6 in its damaged left side! When it stopped spinning, the battered Flippa Frenzay Mk6 moved no more!
Ankle Biter The Second, once it had distanced itself from Angel Of The Abyss, focussed its attention on the crippled BADer, who was coming towards it shakily! The two drums met head on, sending both their owners backwards! As they came together again, they aimed to get under each others sides, and with BADers damaged wheels slowing it, Ankle Biter won out and used its drum on BADers side, damaging titanium and overturning it! AOTA was coming in, so Ankle Biter hit BADer again so it glanced the 14th seed, causing damage to its wedge! Backing off itself, Ankle Biter went for BADer again, hitting it in the inverted wedge and knocking it up to whack the wheels! This blow turned BADer over, and Ankle Biter went into its rear to tilt it against the wall, but this caused BADers drum to touch the floor and jump down onto Ankle Biters body! Ankle Biter began carrying BADer along to the pit release, but when they got there and touched the wall, BADer touched Ankle Biters drum and was flicked against the wall again! Ankle Biter just hit the exposed wheels again, which knocked BADer back down, right side up, but not moving very well at all! Ankle Biter began trying to use its drum to knock BADer towards the pit, but couldnt do it before the pit closed - but it didnt matter, because once it stopped, BADer had died thanks to the abuse of the drum! Ankle Biter The Second had been cornered by Angel Of The Abyss, however, and had no choice but to take a hit, which it survived!
CEASE!

B.A.Der and Flippa Frenzay Mk6 are eliminated!
ANGEL OF THE ABYSS AND ANKLE BITER THE SECOND GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!

And in melee number 2, another four high quality automatons - Chaos 2, Megabyte, Stratosfear and Vlad The Impaler 2!

3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Chaos 2 ran towards Megabyte, as did Stratosfear, while Vlad The Impaler 2 charged them both! Stratosfear found itself being hit in the side by Vlad and rammed towards the wall, but when they hit, it turned off Vlad, got underneath and tossed it spectacularly onto its back! It then went to join Chaos 2, who was chasing the now spinning Megabyte, and aimed to flip it! The result was Megabyte skimming away, and Chaos 2 spinning off, a tear in its flipper! Stratosfear and Vlad The Impaler 2 quickly chased the stalled Megabyte - Vlad got there first and rammed it into the pit release, but Stratosfear came in from behind and got under them both, then aimed to pit them both! As they neared the pit, it did a big flip - Megabyte landed on its back, but slowly turned back onto its wheels, while Vlad landed on the edge! Stratosfear went to catch it, but Vlad ran over its wedge, though it didnt escape a flip! Meanwhile, Megabyte was confronted by Chaos 2 - before it could get spinning, Chaos 2 got underneath, pressed the flipper button - and nothing happened! The earlier blow had disabled the flipper! The pit closed, so Chaos 2 started running Megabyte towards the release, but Vlad The Impaler 2 caught them and got its plate underneath, overturning them both! As Chaos 2 lay there, unable to selfright, Vlad rammed the non spinning Megabyte back into the pit release! Stratosfear now came in, flipping Chaos 2, who bounced and landed on its wheels! Vlad, still carrying Megabyte, ran away from Stratosfear, but was rammed by Chaos 2, who took it round to the pit! Unfortunately, Megabyte slipped off and didnt join Vlad The Impaler 2 down the pit!
Quickly retreating, Megabyte finally started spinning its weapon again! Stratosfear came towards it, with Chaos 2 keeping a safe distance. Megabyte moved to attack the 30th seed, but was intercepted by Stratosfear and flipped, skimming away into the air like a UFO! Landing, Megabyte was almost cornered by Stratosfear and went for Chaos 2. Spinning not quite at full speed, it knocked Chaos 2 against Stratosfear, then managed to hit it again in the flipper, causing more damage! At that point, Stratosfear managed to catch Megabyte and flip it, sending it away into the centre of the arena, but Chaos 2 was just on the flipper and was overturned as well! Stratosfear carefully pushed Chaos 2 away from the wall and flipped it back over, but Chaos 2 just landed on its back! Megabyte quickly rushed in and struck, spinning the overturned 30th seed away! The spinner backed off as Stratosfear came in and fired the flipper again - Chaos 2 landed on its wheels, but with the damage caused by Megabyte and the shock caused by the flips, the former RW champ was gone!

In this battle, Ill try to flip it as high as I can, since I can easily out-manouvre it. Get under, flip it high, try to damage it on landing, then try and get it in the pit.

Ill have to make sure it doesnt land on Stratos, though!

Of course thats assuming you dotn get blasted away when you try and get under me. My upper rign willmake it difficult for him to get near me with the wedge and once the lowers going hes finished, if he tries to get under his flipper will no longer be usable.

Now let Round 2 begin, with a clash between Angel Of The Abyss and Stratosfear!

3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Angel Of The Abyss began spinning, then tried to walk away from the approaching Stratosfear, who caught up and made contact, but the lower ring on AOTA was just enough to knock it away, before AOTA rushed into its side and knocked it more, slashing the flippers armour! Stratosfear swung away from AOTA, then ran in with its flipper and fired it under the blades! It was sent reeling across the floor, while AOTA shot upwards, hit the wall, flew through the air before hitting the floor, bouncing into the south wall and off! Before it could stabilise, Stratosfear had caught up with it and the nitrogen powered flipper launched AOTA again! It worked less powerfully, as the flipper had been knocked in the previous attack, but it was still enough to make the 14th seed fly again! AOTA landed on its side, and its prongs tilted it over. Its upper ring was quickly spinning, but before the lower one could get working, Stratosfear was upon it, blocking the lower ring and being too low for the upper ring! Pushing against the skirts, it managed to slide underneath and shove Angel Of The Abyss to the pit release! There was nothing the 14th seed could do to avoid being dumped in the pit and out of the competition!
CEASE!

STRATOSFEAR GOES THROUGH TO THE HEAT FINAL!

Two powerful spinners now meet - but will Ankle Biter The Second or Megabyte be the more destructive?

3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
The match began with a pause as the weapons of both robots got up to speed, then they rushed to meet each other. Megabyte veered off to attack Ankle Biter The Seconds side, striking the side and making sparks, but the 10mm titanium held up! Ankle Biter was spun around, allowing Megabyte to hit its rear! After this blow, Ankle Biter turned around and brought its drum into the American spinner! Megabyte came off worse from this hit, flying away and bouncing on the floor, landing on its side! As it started spinning again, it began turning back over, but not before Ankle Biter whacked it in the underbelly and sent its mast straight into the arena disc, so Megabyte could bounce back for another painful hit! As Megabyte settled on the floor next to the wall, there were no signs of movement - Ankle Biter The Seconds drum hitting its underbelly and wheels had left it immobilised! Ankle Biter The Second respectfully left it alone while it was counted out, instead preferring to do a victory dance for the audience!
