15cc???? bloomin ech Geoff? i was looking at a 3.5 nitro engine, it produces well over a horsepower at 28,000rpm.
again, was joking about gearing down, you would have to or youd smoke your clutch, experience of alloy wheels talking there, spinning heavy disks wont work too well unless you gear it down at least initially..
Would very much like to see Mike show up with one of these as Ive heard hes plenty of experience with them is his bellychoppers.
Sorry James, my error 15cc..what am I talking about! I think that should have read 1.5!
Bloody noisy in an enclosed arena though!
Go for it, Id love to see a spinner with one of these powering it up and running (and were in the middle of building just the arena to put it in ).
Played with the idea a lot myself.. got a nice little motor set to one side should we ever get round to it as well
Sam
Go with the nitro Geoff!!!! Give that Hoppit fella a taste of his own medicine
We are working on a High Power nitrous oxide system add on for our chainsaw motor I doubt we will be allowed to have the nitrous though  Derek wouldnt let me for RW even though I only need a very very small tank. To dangerous he said. SO is our Disk I said (kill joy)
You guys should know by now that I like my toys! We will still go out in the first round though LOL ROFL
LOL, I cant wait to see some of these nitro powered feathers on the go....
They sound great fun but with all engines if your buying them from new they take alot of time running them in so that they dont stall every 2 seconds. On my brothers nitro car it took atleast an hr-2hrs before it was running withought stalling, and in a robot that will seem like forever.
