Is there stuff that hasnt been showed then ? Cause in Holland, we miss the boat on almost everything

The point been, Firestorm has not, as yet, flipped Mr Psycho over in a way that people can go blurting it out. People (including me) may think (or know) otherwise, but they cant say anything. At the end of the day, its the BBCs fault.

And Groundhog DIDNT flip Sir K over. I didnt see it, but from what I heard he picked Groundhog up, drove forward, but the combo that Groundhog was so heavy, that Sir K was driving too fast, and that I think they were on a sloped surface at the time, caused Sir K to fall over. That doesnt count as flipping IMO.

So Gravity, yes, you DO now hold the record for the heaviest robot flipped shown on TV in a way that nothing is spoiled. And unless the BBC show otherwise, you will always hold that record.

Definition of a Spoiler

spoiler -n Information that may diminish the enjoyment someone else gets from a book, movie, tv show, etc

On the basis that these episodes are never going to be seen, the future enjoyment of people watching it is not going to be diminished, and the information is public knowledge.

This information is therefore not considered a spoiler - as much as talking about who won the last International Robot Rumble isnt a spoiler - thats also never going to make it to TV - so why would it spoil anything.

... allow me to trump you with I WAS STANDING AT ARENASIDE I SAW IT.

Psycho drove up onto Firestorm, Firestorm clearly hesitated not knowing what to do, but then Graham fired Firestorms flipper and MrPsycho was lifted by Firestorms flipper over, and fell to the floor on his side - it then took an army of Tech Crew personnel to get him back on his feet again after the fight.

Mr Psycho certainly didnt just drive up Firestorm and tip over !!!!!

Chris, I think that leaves Firestorm intact with the record of getting under and flipping over the heaviest house robot (Sorry WJ).

It was clear that this had happened - and yes, Ive got it on tape too. The only question was whether it was yet considered appropriate to talk about it or whether forum policy was to hold out hope that the BBC would eventually get around to showing it on terrestrial. I dont think yelling it happened no it didnt yes it did at each other is helping much, agreed? Robot Wars the pantomime - happens to many stars past their prime.

Anyhoo, sorry WJ. :-) Mind you, Growler looked like he completely left the floor, which Psycho didnt.

Fluppet, the first war tape is pretty good, its mostly craig atually, even though old Jezza was on the tv version, its Craig on the vid.

One thing I will say about the vid, is that it should be played at the next FRA meeting, I want to see how many safety reps pass out

as to the firestorm/psycho thing, no offence, but it was ages ago. I must say, firestorm DID turn psycho over by firing his flipper, but I doubt he could have done it unless psycho was already overbalanced, which appeared to be the case.

As far as I know, WJ is the only robot to flip Growler and dead metal, not so sure about Cassius chrome, but never seen him go over any other time.

I was in a prime position during the fight, and must admit to getting a little over excited watching it, but in the end, Growler was out, psycho was immob, cassius has been in and out of the pit, and old reffers was the worse for ware. Gravity holds my personal record for best fight.... so there ;p

all this good comment is inspiring me to build a Gravity 5 (after budget Gravity 4) in a year or 2... and stuff the biggest ram/valves/buffertanks I can find in there !!!

oh, and by the way, I think theres a big difference between flipping a robot and topping it over !!!

First off let me apologize if it was a spoiler, but since Menorn itself have shown it over and over again i would have imagined theyd shown it on TV also. Therefore i saw no reason not to mention it in this discussion.

However, its apparent they didnt. So im sorry i mentioned it. But denying it is not the answer either.
