Nah, the end caps would have been 316 St/stl but we had some SMO 254 off cuts lying around so they are made from SMO 254 which is stronger than 316 St/stl, ram comes in at 3.5kg only the main body is aluminiumThose end caps look quite thin? Are they just 15mm Aluminium?

We've only ever worked with full pressure, lets us use smaller rams and our homemade valves, fingers crossed it wont just destroy its self on the 1st fire.
ill get some more pics once I'm back in work, ram and hammer are all mounted into the chasis, just waiting for rack and gears to turn up and we can have a 1st fire

Will the ram and hammer arm lie parallel/touching to each other when resting?
That's a serious mechanical disadvantage! If that ram has the power to overcome that it's going to come round with some serious speed!
Yes it will, it should have the power, unless we've missed something, ram is 2½ i/d and axe arm is 520mm from the pivot point, gear is 120mm dia ish
Mute's flippers are based on speed of firing so we've hopefully done the same with this one, it should be fast
New bot is moving along now, think we are going to call it 'Bonk'
