    The splinters are very tiny, (smaller than 0,5 mm). The engineer in the factory told me, this mix give the best grip on a wooden floor. in former times they used quartz- sand for this purpose, but the glass splinters give better results. i plan to cover the wheels, if necessary with a piece of wood.

    The rubber on our wheels is simply glued on with Loctite 415 (normal rubber on steel). We didnt have any problems yet.

    6 mm should be cheaper, because it depends also on the weight.

    paul....the flipper will hit a set of springs which will absorbe the energy when it hits the full travel mark. also there will be bunjees helping the return. if i go to flip a robot like growler the robot will bottom out on the floor so the load is transfered through the bottom of the ram,,,,, in theory....
