    Hi James. First of all, is that the FW from the Haynes manual? If so, then cool! I've always wanted to see one built! Second, I believe the exposed components rule relates to either the metal on the wires being exposed, so you seem to be safe on that front. Even more so considering that your machine only has exposed wires when your front is raised, most flippers are the same really.

    I had always interpreted to the rule to mean you can't carry current through something like the metal frame/chassis of the robot, like how a car does with the battery negative being connected to the chassis for example. Based on that, I think you'd be ok with what you have but I would definitely seek clarification from someone official.
