Hacking 10/12a brushless ESCs

Hey,
Was looking for some ESCs for a beetle weight, was going to go for the botbitz 10a ones off ranglebox but they're out of stock!

I know there are a couple of alternatives like a saberooth or those cheap HobbyKing ones but I don't fully trust a saberooth and those HobbyKing ones look kinda big.

I was wondering if there is any firmware for flashing a 10/12A brushless esc to turn it into a brushed one?

I've seen (and used) the code for the TZ85A but can't seem to find anything new about the beetle weight scale ESCs
