In Gabriel I use the large Ampflow motors as dose Thor and i think Toxic2. they seem to work ok the motors you are thinking of are similar to those used in Big Nipper. they are reliable if looked after properly I have been told they can get through a brushes quickly so you have to keep an eye on the wear. these motors pull a lot of amps. in my case I have gone over to using the Roboteq 2550 speed controllers (one for each motor) the speed controller you show I think was tried by Craig Danby with patchy success.
