I think it is the thread that is 3/8", I THINK this means the nut is 3/4" hex. I think Jamie was going to give this a go but is yet to have time to try it?

Those fittings are the same ones that i have used, the inner diameter is 3/8 which fits onto the output shaft of you drill motor/gimson. Only thing i would say is to make sure that you fit them into your wheels with the narrower end in first as this doesn't have the same diameter and so can't be screwed onto your output shaft

Also if you're looking for some suitable wheels i stumbled across these the other day http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLEARANCE-...item3f26eba220 , they're cheap but don't seem any different to the ones from bearing boys, all you would need to do is bore out the inner diameter slightly to help get your nut insert in.

If those inserts are 3/4" wide, then won't they fit into the Banebots 3/4" hex-bore wheels?

Having not used Banebots before i couldn't rell you for certain but i don't see why they wouldn't

Yeah, it's been on my to-do list for a while. Finally got round to ordering some 3/4" hex Banebots wheels though so I did a quick video on how well they go together. For reference, the nuts are these ones (pack of eight): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1506654153...84.m1497.l2649

It now seems Technobots are finishing up with their supply of Banebots wheels. They mentioned that they were thinking about it due to issues with getting them from Banebots when I contacted them about wheel stocks a few weeks ago. So you'll shortly need to get them straight from Banebots if you want to use the above wheel mount method, although there are still a few wheels of various sizes left on Techobots for now.

Could be interesting to see what will crop up wheel-wise now, since both Robo Challenge and Technobots were the go-to companies for easy-to-fit feather wheels and both have now stopped stocking their respective wheels. Guess there are the Bearing Boys wheels, though I've never found their grip to be anywhere near as good. Might be a lot of homemade numbers springing up again, similar to Tormenta 2's.
