Just had a look through, nice to see a bit behind the scenes with Robogames and all that!
Bit of a question as well, when you took Storm II through as luggage all bubble wrapped up and all that, did you have to take much of the insides out to bring the weight down so it could actually be shipped or anything?
Storm II was built from the ground up to travel - the chassis stripped down weighs 32Kg exactly so yes you take all the insides out and then ship the chassis as a 'suitcase'. Was always designed like that !
We took a total of 290Kg in the hold as our luggage an then two items of hand-luggage each also.

Thanks though, something I've always wondered about teams travelling overseas for tournaments!
Nothing fun about 3 x 32Kg bags each... except we had most of our armour packed into one tiny little bag, like the 'carry on' bags that you get for taking in the cabin. But it weighed 32Kg, was hilarious watching a hotel doorman reach to pick it up and almost pull himself to the ground rather than lift the thing up
What I've always wanted to ask, then you've paid for everything self or the RoboGames has given what to, me would in fact interested Burning times with what costs you have to Convert to such an event if you would like!
Hey, realise that English isn't your first language but I'm not sure I can quite work out what you are asking ? Do you mean how much did it cost us to attend RoboGames ?

Or were you asking what did RoboGames pay for and what did you have to pay for?
RoboGames doesn't pay you to attend, we paid all our own costs. Can't remember exact costs, but it was 5 hotel nights, we didn't ship Storm II, it's designed to travel as baggage on a flight, so we had 3 x Business Class return flights to San Francisco in there as well. Am sure you can do some research and work out what the costs would be - it's not cheap !
