    Another charging question!

I have two '7.4v LiPo 4000mAh 40c Hardcase Multi Lead Vapextech' which have output leads and a small balance lead with three pin connector, the supplier told me to charge them through the balance lead but can I do that with just a propeak constellation charger or will I need a balancer too? if so what is recommended?

You can charge them with a pro peak but you need a balancer as well. I've been told something called a Blinky balancer.

I would recommend getting a LiPo specific charger with built in balancer.

We use a Hyperion 1420i but they do lower power models also like the Hyperion EOS 0403i or the Hyperion EOS 0606i

You can use an external balancer with most chargers but it's a bit of a fudge really.

As Kane's said, you can charge with your charger fine, theoretically all you need is a balancer such as the blinky.
I don't really like this system of charging though as the external balancer's are VERY slow at discharging cells to balance them out. The rate of charge normally far exceed's the rate the balancer can discharge.
It will be OK but it's not ideal. I would recommend a charger with built in Lipo balancing. A few people were using the £50 Turnigy charger's that seemed plenty good enough for lower power use.

thanks, have you got a model number for the Turnigy?
the imax B6 seems popular at events, would they be any good

most of the cheap lipo chargers are almost exactly the same and are all pretty good, this includes the imax b6. if you want to splash out more cash heres a better charger:

I use, and can recommend, this charger:

Essentially the same as some of the chargers that have been linked to (i.e. same LCD displays and menus, same four control buttons) but this has a built-in power supply as well as the option to get power from an external source, so you don't always have to lug an external supply or big battery around with you.

Comes with a decent selection of charging connectors as well.
