As I understand the safety rules I need to fit a 1000 psi release valve between my gas reservoir and regulator. I have the release valve, but no way to attach it at the moment. Can anyone make or supply a pipe to connect everything together?
The regulator has a 1/4 BSPP thread, the reservoir is a 2kg fire extinguisher bought from Technobots - I hope these have a standard thread. The regulator connector mates with the extinguisher thread at the moment.

Jim ....Hasnt your regulator got a spare threaded port to screw the relief valve into?
Some regulators have 4 threaded ports ...H.P. Inlet from bottle .... L.P. outlet...plus 2 extra ports for gauges H.P. and L.P.
Simply screw your relief valve into the port that connects internally to your H.P. inlet.

Jim, Alan is quite right, most builders have unscrewed the HP pressure gauge and screwed the relief valve in instead. Some regulators have NPT threads for the gauges though. Another common way is to use a CO2 to BSP adaptor screwed onto the extinguisher, fit a hydraulic tee piece into this adaptor, screw the relief valve into the tee and then use copper tube or a hydraulic hose to the regulator. (I prefer not to mount the regulator direct to the extinguisher because I have experienced the jolts from battle causing the regulator to unscrew from the bottle). Depending on the regulator you have, I do have some adaptors that allow you to remove the CO2 inlet pipe from the regulator and fit a 1/4 bsp adaptor to the regulator instead and this will screw into the tee piece I referred to above.

Actually, Ive got two regulators, both have four ports other than the inlet. The four ports are:
1. LP Outlet (Pushfit adapter)
2. Low pressure gauge (0-15 bar)
3. High pressure gauge (0-400 bar) on one regulator, blanking plug on the other
4. Looks like a relief valve of some sort, its a small fitting with a spring visible inside - on both regulators. These are much smaller than the Technobots 1000psi regulators, though.
Now that youve made me think about it, the High pressure gauge must be attached to the HP inlet. Is it acceptable just to screw the relief valve into that?
Thanks for the advice Paul (it took me a while to compose that last post, so Ive only just seen yours). You might have saved me a bit of cash there.
