Another weekend spent in my garage fixing robots that have been flipped out after cease (Tiny Hurtz) or attacked when immobilised and at the side of the arena ( 4 4 Toon). I do not mind repairing damage caused in battle but its about time people think about the cost in time and money from continuing to attack after cease or pounding on a dead robot, and no it wasn't a house robot in either case. :angry:
i'm very sorry if the sheer uncontrollable power of BOW caused extra damage to tiny hurtz in either situation :)

And this applies particularly to house robots, as well as to over enthusiastic contestants. We should have a convention that once a robot is dead it is left alone, or pushed to a side wall or into the pit.

i do think that is fair
accidental damage is ok since when i got flipped, battleaxe got me in his clawn and bent my armour but i know that was a total accident

ye, the whole system works, checked it earlier. now its just got to go into the shell which in doing saturday. and we should probably do this over PM instead :)

I think when cease is called, the roboteers should stop attacking another robot. I think there should be a lighting signal at the same time E.G. turn off the lights in the arena for 2 seconds. Because sometimes deaf old people like me can't hear so well.
Attacking robots that are immobile this usually is because the other guy doesn't realise, also I have been asked to hit a robot to get it going again. :crazy:
There is always going to be issues like this, when I am fixing my robots, usually courtesy of Thor!!!! I tell myself if I don't want it bust, don't put it in the arena with Thor :shock:
these days I tend to try to make the robots easier to fix at the design stage, saves time in the garage later,
I have been thrown out after cease thats annoying :angry: quite sure ive not caused damage after cease but maybe carried on for a few seconds. I have attacked immobilised robots, in most mellee's you might not notice a robot that's not been moving for a while and can easily start to attack it, then relising it was immobilised :lol: , well thats my excuise anyway :!:
oh and as for fighting thor, yes he does inflict a bit of damage. luckily for me I only have to fight him in championship fights as we are both mighty reds which is the by far best team :proud:

You don't need a super-duper, expensive, well-engineered robot to do well in a full-combat championship. If ever there was an example of the basic-bot underdog winning, just look at Bitza's fight with Little Spinner 4 at the 2011 FW champs. It even finished joint 10th (albeit with five or six other robots!) while several more elaborate machines and seasoned veterans slumped down the table.Quote:

Yes, my robot is Pretty badly machined but it still survived!
i think if i kept my 4mm steel rear to the front then i could take a hit from a spinner and they will probably bouce out

i wish i could say the same for mine, i have had loads of set backs and probelms and i still need to buy mayhem :)
