I have a bang-bang controller for my lifter and in the FRA failsafe check it didn't do well and would rip the motor out of the motor mount. The reciver doesnt have a built in failsafe so how could I build one?

you can buy them from sussex model centre
Can't you put an external failsafe on that channel?
never tried this but this probably works
http://www.teambigbro.co.uk/failsafe.html
It probably just drops the signal though
For a bang bang controller you would want a programmable fail safe which would drive the channel to a pre-set position
I seem to remember we used some external orange failsafes in mythras, i think they were called FWS or something? (minds a bit rusty) Mythras was basicly bang bang but with wheelchair motors, so i think it should be suitable. i think its just plug and play so shouldnt be too bad
You want one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GWS-FailSafe-Unit ... 2c5ac4e3fc
Yeah thats the one
I may buy the failsafe on ebay, or I could try and build the team big brother failsafe.
ive got one of those failsafes Alan linked too, used but think it will work
pm me if interested

For the homemade falsafe I would need a Y-lead to beable to put it on the same channel as the servo.
Forgot to add, if the cost of all the components costs more than £10 i'm going to buy the GWS failsafe.
