i want to build a ant weight robot and i want to keep it cheap so i was thinking 2 modded 360 servos for drive a receiver and a battrey any help? :?:

yes that would work but dont expect it to win any thing :) i did that at the start but i have now moved on to bigger and better things.

do i have to use servos or can i plug a motor in the recever?

a motor needs a speed controler which plugs into the reiver, its is much more expensive but nearly all ants use it. speed contollers are about £45

can u take the gears off and use the servo motor?

no, that would mean your robot would not move, the motor on its own will have no where near enough torque to move a robot, they are good speed hacked though

sd200's all the way, outpushed dynamite at the latest AWS and thats one of the torquiest robots around
at £12 each there pretty cheap too, a bit more pricy than the budget servos but will last for donkeys years
