Lots of snow over here in sweden aswell :)
12-14 inches in Gateshead then we had a thaw of 2-3 inches and had 3-4 inches again today which is drifting
30 to 36 inches in worksop lovely .......
And its still coming down .... had a 2mile there and 2mile back treak to tesco's for food supplies whole family outing took 3hrs .....
deep snow all over and no cars have moved off our street all day and wont tomorrow either as its two feet deep + more coming down as i type :proud: :proud: :proud:
Snowboarding tomorrow ...........
If you had a robot with tracks, it might be handy to stick a plough on the front and use it to clear paths, or dig your car out.
Might post some pics of the snow in my neighbourhood
or if you had something like this :D

just a couple of photos of a bit of snow we have had .....
We've been very lucky here, we've have very little snow, however, on a slightly snow related matter, I found a freind of ours in todays copy of The Sun:

We should all travel like this
Ford Galexy Snow Plough
We've had half a metre of snow lying everywhere in Edinburgh. We've got big icicles hanging from our roof, I've had a week off college and 2 days ago, the roof of our conservatory actually caved in because it couldn't hold the weight of the amount that had fallen.
sorry to hear about your conservatory :( whenever it snows i fear the roof of my shed collapsing damaging all my robot bits and bobs.
down here theres metre long icicles hanging off the roof! took a picture of the bush outside my house:

Its OK, it got repaired quickly :)
Those icicles look like the ones hanging outside my house :o
It's temperatures and weather like this that I'm glad my robot stuff is in my room and I don't have to traipse out to a freezing shed :)
i have to keep scraping the snow off the roof of my shed because it bends the roof in lol, hasn't colapsed yet :P
jamie forgot to say i got your postcard the other day lol i competly forgot about askin you to send me one, but thanks all the same 8)
well a fan heater, heat gun and multiple coats make it not to bad in a shed in this kind of weather :D just finished de icing the route to my shed so hopefully no more sliding around :)
Thats something that concerns me, all my robot stuff is out in my garage, I'm hoping the cold doesn't effect the electronics in the robots, considering I have over £800's worth of speed controllers, transmitters and receivers out there
anything of value is in a box in my wardrobe, or my feathers are under my bed because i'd rather not leave them outside in something thats out in all weather or could be easily broken into, and my heavy chassis is in our outhouse thing which is a bit more secure, i no theives n that are more interested in drills n bikes n what not, but theres always a thought in the back of my mind seeing as its not finished and can be easily moved about and how it's basically alot of scrap metal someone cud have off with it :S
- not exactly snow related but there ya go lol
No probs, hope you liked the picture :lol:Quote:

I can remove my Wotty but removing my Victors is more problematic, and I can't bring the robot in here, my parents won't have it
Just smuggle it in and hide it under the bed
or just build so that it looks exactly like and arm chair!
dave thought about wrapping it in blankets? lol that might help, also just get some chain and chain it to a table or something thats what i was planning on doing when my heavy gets a bit to heavy to move about so easily
and yeah jamie, wen i got it i only saw the back first so read it, then turned it over and was like LOL ok fair enough :P
Easier said than done :rofl:Quote:

Snow thread?! I haven't posted in one for ages!
*chucks snowballs randomly*
Good luck Dave!
I once drove an Automatic 645 in the snow, that wasn't fun.
Looks like plenty of fun to be had Alan. Make sure to get some videos :)
I take it the scoop is just loosely hinged and not actuated?
at the moment, will put some sort of actuator on it at some point.
Yeah be sure to recond when using it, looks really powerful!
looks great! have you seen roboplow?
