Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
hey there, i have quite a large amount of lego pneumatics (rams and switches). i can sell you a ram if you want? i'm selling them for £3 each or £5 for 2 :D
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
Hi, Jonny I am interested but I heard they can't handle 100psi ( they leak at that pressure) which is no good for me D;.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
if they are modified they can :) i have a switch and a ram that i have modified that runs at 100 psi.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
ooooo, how much? or you not selling the modded ones?
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
yeh i can sell you modded ones :) make me an offer.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
I don't know how much they are, but £12 for both (Double the amount of the normal ones for your labour)?
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
yeh that sounds good, are you coming to aws? i could sell you them then or i could post them.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
i would recomend them as they could chuck my ant across the desk :uhoh:
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
Well I've never been to an event yet, when and where? xD I might be able to attend.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
more info here:

you might want to join the robot wars 101 forum aswell, its very good for antweights :D
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
I may be able to attend ;D, what would be more powerful Lego Pneumatics or the one on Technobots? (25mm stroke)
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
they'd probably be about the same.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
Noice Noice zoo zoo (Mighty boosh saying ;D) I'm not sure what to do haha D;?
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
Lego is the thing to use? I'm very intrested, would something like these sets work:

2: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lego-Pneumatic-AI ... 3a5fcb12d3

Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
you'd need a different tank to use 100 psi and you'd have to modify switch and ram yourself. but yes they should work.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
Could you tell me if there are any sets that do 100psi pneumatics like them and where to get them.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
easiest thing to do is use a different tank (eg deoderant can, breath freshner) and just modify the pneumatics yourself. i could sell you some un modified pneumatics if you want. guides on how to modify can be found at:
http://www.techbricks.nl/
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
How do you use the tank from a deodrant can do you leave the contents in or take it out? if you take it out how do you put/make an end for it?
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
spray out contents, drill hole in for fill valve and another hole to go to system
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
could you do a vid on that do I know where to drill.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
Also how do you fill the bottle.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
sorry i did not make a vid today, was going to but it slipped my mind  spent the whole day working on heavyweight pneumatics. to fill the tank you screw on a car tyre pump and pump until it is at your desired psi (car tyre pump should have a gauge on it to show psi). the valve is only open when car tyre pump is attached.
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
ok understood that. I've also been busy
Re: Wheels and Pneumatics
for antweight pneumatics im kinda using a straw and aftershave bottle
