Hiya Cory, welcome to the FRA Fanfic boards...
Your...robots...don't look completely bad but they're a bit short on details, if you present pictures with just titles (the word you used that shares its spelling with a town in rural Austria might land you in trouble, btw, just saying) then we can't tell a great deal about how good the robot is compared to other vapours, or indeed precisley what they're supposed to do. I'd suggest you read viewtopic.php?f=201&t=2024&start=0 and use Alex's very nice guide to produce some stats, and possibly some pictures from different angles, that would help us understand them better. We do have a thread for posting robots for comments and constructive criticism, the How Could I Improve thread, which can be found here: <a class=postlink-local href=http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/foru...t=2107&start=0
Hey there Cory, only a matter of time before you got here.
Im Velocity EVO from GTM. Your paint bots have got alot better. I'll PM you on GTM in a few minutes :P
hey sparkey
im jack, otherwise known as that guy who wrote w.a.r or teamorr96 on youtube  we've spoken befor, well done on making the leap :)
as far as your bots go they are not that bad for paint bots but they are somewhat lacking on the stats front  , if i were you id check out a beginners guide to vapourbots.
also, funny as the last name is, it could land you in trouble :P
take care and have fun!
jack
Woopsy :P
There is odd meaning behind it, like how it's four instead of five.
Well, well well, look who it is. Hey Sparkles. I see you've had the sense to post your better paint bots, good idea.
Yeah...
...do any of these robots have stats? You can't really enter tournaments here just with pictures of one side of the robot :P
Read those topics I mentioned/linked to, those should help.
Oh, ya sorry. I hav'nt done a stat bot in a long time lolz.

You don't have to use all caps...dear gods...compared to what's about to come I fear this is a relatively minor complaint though.Quote:

I was going to mention something about the sudden switch to imperial units, but then I remembered we use miles per hour alongside millimetres quite often so I thought better of it :PQuote:

The size though...ersh...it'd have to be made of lead to get close to 82kgs and fit inside those dimensions. Those are coming close to small for a featherweight (45 cm long?) and...er...well...to be honest if this is anything to go by I'd have to question if you've ever seen a heavyweight...needs to be bigger. Think about double those.
You have a spike that's two thirds the length of your robot and made of very heavy tungston steel, I'd be worried about overbalancing...and 'DIRECTLEY IN CENTER FRONT' was a phrase that, if I'm being honest, caused me to let out a small involuntary wail.Quote:

Windscreen wiper motors are very underpowered for heavyweights, but at least you've got a motor that exists! (either Paul or Tim and their idea of 'LEM150s' come to mind) I would seriously put some better motors in there though, at least Bosch 750s or Magmotors of some kind.Quote:

there's an awful lot wrong with that phrase, but I'll limit myself to saying that...well...you're raping your wheels?! Not only is that wanton cruelty to the common 'meatl' cored wheel, it's also cruel to robot design and to words...and...well...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
After raping your wheels, forgetting voltage, capacity, battery type and the spelling of 'pack' seems like a trifling insecurity...but I must remember that it isn't and you kind of need to include those :PQuote:

OVERALL:
I'd like to say that this is a good first effort, but I genuinely can't say that with a clear conscience - sorry if that sounds harsh but this is possibly one of the worst fanfic designs I have ever read, and I'm sure you could do better.
Interesting name. Did you choose it because the robot breaks down and burns on impact? ;)Quote:
