Never seen the show before, Just watched it for first time. Didnt think somthing like this would make a good tv show but it was pretty cool, Nearly cried at the end because I wanted to see more of the Aston. That journey in the snow to your dads old place would have been way more fun in the Aston too.
Robots are getting loads of air time now. Robo Challenge got a bit of robot wars back on tv with the Gadget Show now youv kinda done it too. Your bedroom just needs a full combat heavyweight arena in the corner now George, Your room lookd big enough.

Whats it like recording that kind of show? Is it all real and like 1 take on everything or are some bits a bit acted up and scripted?

How The Other Half Live was on, with me in it, and I got a chance to show the BattleRatz on tv (only for a couple of seconds, and the flipper didn't work!! :angry: )

Tom, it took forever to film it, you will not believe how much of it was cut out! I'm glad it's over tbh...

None of it was scripted.

If all of that was real and it really was his money he gave away and not a cheque the tv company wrote out, your dad did a really nice thing. Fair play to him.

Roaming Robots

Watched the show on the PC just to see the battleratz but watched the lot.

For once the TV company showed it for what it was, decent people helping decent people. If only more TV makers could learn lessons from this. Those of us that did the Robotwars show will know what I mean. I was really moved.

wow, mate, never knew, your a lucky guy, was only really watching it for the battlerat but in the end watched the lot, what your parents did was really cool, well done

Thank you all for the kind comments, it was great fun to film, although it did take forever to film...

I think it was a really kind thing my dad did, and it has helped the Buffrey's really well.

I got round to watching it last night and my over-riding thought was 'It's been far too long since I last slid down a banister!!' :proud:
Although I'm probably a bit to big and heavy these days.
