24-25 april 2010 - FCC - Feathers, Raptors - Rijswijk (NL)

After 7 years we're back in Rijswijk. This time for a 2 day event at modelmakers fair Modelbouw & Miniatuur.
We will do demo's on Saturday with HW, FW, Raptors and Ants.

Competition on Sunday, for Feathers and Raptors, will be Full Contact.
The Modelmakers fair is opened from 10 am to 5 pm. The venue, Expo Rijswijk, can be found here.

I'd love to come to this event, however, I can't get the week off, and flying out to holland twice in the space of a week would cost me a lot (I've got the Antweight World Series in Eindhoven the weekend before :P)

thank you. how big is the arena? also if it is full combat what will be on the roof? il have a look into the ferry situation. Is this a championship event?

Inside it is 3.6x3.6x2 meters. The roof is HDPE, 5mm I think. It is the 3rd of 4 championship-events.

Im just looking at ferries at the moment but its possible Venom, Ploughbot, and our secret TV project may be there. fingers crossed!

Only if you book before the 28th, so within 2 days. You can book for any date in the year, but the booking must be done before the 28th. Norfolkline sent an email about that.

we are contemplating taking a caravan. its £140 then. looking at travel lodges too.

At the moment both Seafrance & P&O have offers of £50 return. (Dover - Calais)

We are staying here...
Holiday Inn at Leiden, a very good hotel. We have used it several times in the past and can recomend it. (About 30 mins. from the venue.)

Yep, including spinners on Sunday.

Would be a great weekend trip and I'd love to come but uni and money hinder things at the moment. Maybe another time :)

There's also an event in Bochum, Germany, on March 27 and 28. Or else in Leeuwarden in November.

All competitors are getting ready for this full contact competition in front of paying audience. I'm sure the show and the fun will be good.

That was another nice event, with good fights and good company. Next one: the championships final on 27 june in Wormerveer.
