Re: Battle ready Heavyweight - Hammer Time FORSALE
lol unfortunatly i've spent too much of my vast wealth on buying an aston-martin car recently, so im afraid not
but seriously, i've already got my heavy weight build on the go, would be too much to buy another heavyweight, dnt think 2 heavys would fit in a 6-8 shed anyway:P
be nice if it got bought by someone though and used, instead of being stripped for parts.

Re: Battle ready Heavyweight - Hammer Time FORSALE
..And i dont really do heavyweights anymore, to easy :)

I actually only put it on for a week to see if anyone was interested, there quite a few offers and lots of interest but noone finalised a deal.
It may be still around.

Re: Battle ready Heavyweight - Hammer Time FORSALE
Some photos especially of the axe mechanism would be cool... Is the motor the big PMG 132?

Re: Battle ready Heavyweight - Hammer Time FORSALE
Thanks! That machine looks cool... it would be nice to see a shot of the axe mechanism though. You didn't answer my question about the axe motor... is it the big Perm PMG132 or the smaller 080?
-
Re: Battle ready Heavyweight - Hammer Time FORSALE
I would say its probably the smaller one, but i may be wrong !
Next time im at my storage unti, ill take a few photos.
But the axe mechansim is basically...
Perm to gearbox via chain..
3 stage gear reduction in a custom built gearbox
Into a big adjustable clutch
Up to the top axe drive sproket
The hammer is the welded to the drive sproket
Hope this helps

Re: Battle ready Heavyweight - Hammer Time FORSALE
Nick, I don't know if the layout of the gearbox has changed since it went from Thor to Hammertime, but here is a close-up picture I took of it from Thor days. The only problem is that the hammer arm blocks a bit of it :lame:

Re: Battle ready Heavyweight - Hammer Time FORSALE
Yep .... Excactly the same layout :-)
it just fitted into the robot.

Re: Battle ready Heavyweight - Hammer Time FORSALE
can i just say the mech alone cost over £600 to build. Its a perm 080 and is plenty powerful enough. It works on a clutch so the motor wont burn out under stall. It worked well in Thor and is built very well. John Reid did infact help with the design but it is Jasons brainchild.

Re: Battle ready Heavyweight - Hammer Time FORSALE
Hammertime now sold and going to a nice new home in January.
