Just so you know, the new sponsor wants to cut down on costs so applicants with only one robot may not be successful this year even if they have been here before. Sorry guys!
As always, its heavyweights we're after but boxers and mechs are more desirable and featherweights are less desirable.

Don€™t think I can make it for this event so The Saint, The Mighty Seraphim and Pilgrim won€™t be there. Hope you all have a good time and are gentle with the local robots. Looking forward to seeing the videos on Utube in Feb 10 :D

I think I am going with St Hammer and Pilgrim but I don't know anything about the arrangements yet I think the ferry leaves at 12 noon, I am hoping to meet up with some people on route so I can go in convoy if the van I now drive is fast enough! It will be my first trip to Dublin so I am quite looking forward to it.

Jonno the irony of your upgrade is that it was an old ram from one of my old robots.

ha clive, if i was at home before that event it wouldnt have been put on the robot! but the whole flipper has been moved up so the hinges are at the top, so should make it easy for us to self right.

Not doing much to Saint the garage is too cold.I was going to change the speed controller in Pilgrim but the garage is still too cold so I will probably put the old one back in and just take the other over as a spare or change it there.

I hope the weather is nice for you craig because in ireland it is also very cold :)

Just want to say a big thanks to all the guys in Dublin for all the effort in making us so welcome. Congratulations to the Iron Awes for the first and second place in the competition. Lots of fun, but hard work doing 6 shows per day loads of people over the 3 days probably over 6000! :mrgreen:
The Saint went well and I managed to keep my 100% record in not winning competitions when the saint€™s axe got stuck in the closed door of the arena! :uhoh:
Pilgrim worked quite hard trying to break dance at the beginning of the shows.

Maddest event of the year (always is!). :crazy:
