BAC
Ben's antweight competition
Long time no see everyone!
I am not going to complete Scrapyard Skirmish, I tried to go too fast
So I am starting from scratch, I need 6 people to enter 2 antwieghts each
Rules:
150g rollers
220g walkers/shufflers
No flying robots
No prohibited weapons
Clusterbots allowed
Max parts: 2
Both parts have to be eliminated
Combat will take place in the RRC (Reading Robot Club) arena
Please enter!

Re: BAC
I shall enter with Anty B (Extreme 2 Version) and Combatant (Extreme 1 Version)

Re: BAC
BEN! It's been a while :proud:
I'll enter Bobcat (stats on ZED) and Eye Of Ran AW (the stats of which will be dredged up by me once I am back on my laptop this evening)
-
Re: BAC

Re: BAC
Good to see you back, Ben. Shame about Skirmish, though.
I'll enter Flamberge (stats will be posted in my next post) and a new AW coming up very soon. Probably won't have a render for it right away, but hey, stats are better than nothing, ey?
-
Re: BAC
I suppose I shall enter :)
I'll enter Legion and Razzler from Ex1, if possible
Good luck, Jack

Jack, do you have pics of ValliANT and DefiANT?
1 space left!

Re: BAC
Sorry, I meant Good Luck, Ben :proud:

Re: BAC
Change of plans. Since I am unable to think up a second AW, I'll enter a realie alongside Flamberge.
1. Flamberge
http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k.../Flamberge.png
Shape: Somewhat like Surgeon General from Battlebots Season 5.0: an inverted wedge with 2 semi-exposed wheels and the weapon in front. The rear is pointed to avoid beaching.
Colour: Silver and gold.
Weight: 150g
Drive: Basically the same as real antweight robot VariANT. It uses 2 x 10mm motor gearboxes, with a gearing ratio of 100:1.
Power: A 12.6v lithium polymer battery.
Motivation: 2 30mm high polycarbonate hubs with black electric tape around it for traction.
Armour: 1mm titanium
Ground Clearance: ...I'm not sure. Probably somewhere in the region of 3-5mm though.
Turning Circle: 0
Dimensions in CM (LxWxH): 9 x 8 x 3
Weaponry: A horizontal spinning bar powered by an 80 watt brushless motor. Can't do accurate antweight calculations at the moment so I can't say how much damage it can inflict, hopefully a lot though. The bar is semi-protected by a 1mm aluminium hub on top of it, which helps it spin when inverted.
Srimech: Invertible.
Strengths: ...I've no idea.
Weaknesses: ...I've no idea.
2. Satanix (look on the Roaming Robots site for it and its picture; if you can't find it, ask David Weston.)
Hope that's alright. :)

Re: BAC
Uh...Satanix is Dave's feather, Kody, fail :P
Eye Of Ran AW stats:
Eye Of Ran
WEIGHT: 150g ish (I can throw together a weight calc if you like)
DIMENSIONS: 100 x 80 x 18 mm
SHAPE: A cuboid wider than it is long with a wedge at the back, extending from this cuboid is a long bar, at the end of which is the weapon motor (pic available if this is too difficult to understand, this seems to happen a lot with my designs)
COLOUR: Mostly fantasy artwork, generally blue and green with some gold. The blade is mostly unpainted with viridian tips.
DRIVE: 2 Sanyo 50:1 micro motors driven by a Sabertooth 2x5a controller, driving 2 rear semi-protected rubber tyred wheels, run at 11.1v off a 3 cell lithium polymer pack
SPEED: Medium fast
GROUND CLEARANCE: Blade is about 1-2mm off the ground, all around the rest is quite high except the rear wedge which is 0
ARMOUR: Top plate is a single piece of 3mm polycarb, reinforced with struts of balsa wood to counter the forces of the weapon. The rear wedge is 1mm polycarb covered in spring steel to make it low to the ground, and everything else is either held in with screws or taped to the underside of the top.
WEAPONS: A 65 x 15 x 4 mm undercutting titanium blade, which weighs 30g and is driven by a brushless outrunner motor rated at 20000rpm, with the ends curved into hooks to catch and rip the opposition. The blade protects the front of the robot and the vast majority of the sides as well, and packs a punch of...well, it doesn't particuarly matter in antweights :P It is kept from hitting the ground by a tiny piece of polypropylene in the bottom of the motor.
SRIMECH: Invertible, the odd shape and weapon should prvent it resting on its sides (it doesn't really have any sides anyway)
NOTES: Uses Spektrum radio to prevent it jittering or going out of control.
STRENGTHS: Weaponry, good drive and pushing power
WEAKNESSES: Newtonian physics

Re: BAC
Bugger off, Picus man. My head ain't working today. :P
Now what was it...ah yeah, Stewie, that was the one I was thinking of, not Satanix. Sorry about that.

Re: BAC
Stewie VS ValliANT VS Eye of Ran AW
Push ValliANT into EoR. If Joey wants a team-up, fine, but either way that's what I'm gonna do. :proud:
Microforce 3.0 VS Razzler VS CombatANT
Bye Razzler.
Legion VS Flamberge VS Bobcat
Destroy everything!
DefiANT VS Baby Hell VS Anty B
Baby Hell to go to hell, I guess. :P

Re: BAC
Battle 1: Stewie VS ValliANT VS Eye of Ran AW: Stewie out.
Battle 2: Microforce 3.0 VS Razzler VS CombatANT: Razzler out.
Battle 3: Legion VS Flamberge VS Bobcat: Legion out.
Battle 4: DefiANT VS Baby Hell VS Anty B: Anty B through. Can't tell who'll be out.

Re: BAC
Stewie VS ValliANT VS Eye of Ran AW
Uh...destroy things, to quote a certain Mr. Kunz. :)
Legion VS Flamberge VS Bobcat
Get straight around the back of Flamberge, clamp onto it, and then use it as a weapon to shred both halves of Legion. :P
Best of luck everyone, this has the potential to be pretty good.

Re: BAC
valliant: hehe i love fighting flippers and spinners...no i really do! valliant works well upside down and he has 4mm polycarbonate is basically spinner proof! so yeah i will go for eor aw cos it will rebound off my polycarb and if i can get him befor he spins up he can be shunted out easily!
defiant: lol work with anty b and push baby hell out :proud:
