yea with the feather, finishing the welding this weekend and will be wiring it during the week testing it the night before just like Robot Wars days

50mm box steel 750mm long with a hard steel spike on the end. I now have more holes in the drive when I tested it out today!!!! :blush: I must stop doing that. :shock: :shock: :shock:

lost again to an 8 year old (got to ban him some how) im sure there was an age limit ;)
Event went well, Cardiff are a nosiy lot, got back at just before 2:00am last night. Lets see if I remember the competition fight results correcly:-
Beast lost to And His Army (Got stuck on his back :rofl: )
Iron Awe 6 beat Tiberuis (Got stuck on his side)
THz beat Mega Mouse (30 seconds into the fight and a few hundard hits later it stopped working)
We beat Kan Opener (Just by getting him in the pit, and losing power on one side)
Iron Awe 5 beat Cabraken (threw it all over the arena but did hold its own at times)
Can't remeber the rest just yet and might have the Iron Awes the wrong way around.
Looks like a problem with one of our Mag Motors, might be running on 1 set of brushes only.
The Saint did ok broke the arena flipper! Put holes in the floor and the mesh! :blush:
Drove out of the pit twice :proud: and into the arena once. :shock:
Won a fight :proud: but lost to Barbaric response again!!! :angry:
I may have broken a small bit off THZ so they hate me!!!!! :oops:
But we had fun in bucket loads. :D :D :D :D
Another good event, some exellent fights.
Funniest moment.. brand new arena floor lovingly laid and painted, first fight, Saint drives out and 'bang' neat hole in the arena flipper. :rofl: (nice one Craig!)
Scariest moment.. seeing Tiberious drop to the floor as it's pit table suddenly colapsed without warning! :shock: (no one hurt!)
Worst moment.. realising that we had some less than honest persons in the building :angry: (enough said)
Best moment.. Pain In The Asp winning both it's comp. and white board fights! :proud:
Most annoying moment.. Karoline breaking Pillow Torque! :roll:

Good event, thanks to all, but paticularly Dave for driving, Marco for maintaining Cabrakan and Craig Colliass who seemed to lend us many many things over the day, but especially for the spare battery allowing us to run on 36v for the first time. Also to Clive and Wendy for our lovely trolley.
I loved fighting Iron Awe 5 with Cabrakan. Never expected to last such a long time. Would have lasted the full 3 mins if I hadn't landed upside down and reversed into the pit instead of going forwards!
Goon managed 4 fights too, a record for one of my dodgy featherweights.
Might be my last event for a little while, but hope to see you all soon, spesh when I get my heavyweight going.
Final thanks, as usual, to the Roaming Robots crew for a fine job.
Overall, it sounds like it was a good event :)
So then, who's on their way to being in the finals, and who has to work harder?

Well a very tiring event ( dont like one dayers ) the new evo runs like a dream needs better welds :( but all in all runs nice in the new chassis ) The flipper works like a dream too, pitty it snapped a weld on the first fire and left us with no flipper and stuck weld done to Hell Bent and a Big Thanks to rob and Mell for staying to help take down much appreciated , shut the truck at 3.30 am :crazy: :crazy: so roll on Brentwood.
I was so busy apologising to Jonno for breaking things, I forgot to thank him and all the Roaming Robots team for a great day.
I know you people work so hard to get the arena up and down so quickly. 8)

Jonno don€™t grease the pit it has taken ages to get the Saint to drive itself out, the Kids love it. :D :D
Another great event.Thanks to John Bell for all the help and technical support in the next stage of And His Army's development. A big thanks to Jonno for trying to straighten out the chasis of 4 4 Toon for me with Major Damage.Looking forward to Brentwood, where hopefully Stagefright will finally morph into Looney Toon.
I would like to make it clear that Pillow Torque is not broken - it was just feeling a little unwell. Just a bit of TLC and it's all good again.
Anyway, you should have seen the other guy - Little Flipper was it? :proud:

I totally agree Swanny. Thieving undermines all of the mutual respect and commardary that this sport has to have to work, which most of us have down to a T.

Yes I do .........
The retract pipe that fires the axe back came off the piston so it was stuck in the fired position. Every time the retract was fired it just vented gas into the arena ...

I don€™t know but I think between Saint and Iron Awe we may have stopped Thz, if you look the axe was working very well then Thz got caught between Saint and Iron Awe just as the Saint's sword swung Iron Awe flipped Thz into the line of fire and the Saint may have knocked off the pipe! It certainly didn€™t work after that. What do you think? :?
