Hi All,
Answers to the Big Nipper Quiz
The total number of bolts including a small amount of grub screws is 514
The exterior panels in this I am not including the jaws or the jaw tips - 36 panels
Interior parts - these include electrical parts, not including wiring but each battery pack and motor is classed as one item not as individual parts like brushes or individual cells in battery packs - 242.
The winner is PETE LALE
Well done Pete being the nearest on 2 out of the 3. It will be interesting to see you drive Little Flipper because I have never seen you drive a robot yet and this prize is non-transferrable!
well all i can say is blimy lol
well I can bet Beast has the least amout off parts off all the robots out there!!!
Doesnt Beast just have a trained hamster inside the shell moving it around?
Beast is powered by LJs ego via telekinesis.
how does tx control handle that one?
its beasts year this year
gonna take over the world
Japanese Fighting Tortoise is held together by 8 bolts, 6 internal components and 1 body piece...lol.
LIKE I SAY WHEN I TRAIN THE ARENA MARSHALS ....
( GET TO KNOW THE MACHINES )
And it looks like i do :):):):)
Thanks Glyn and the rest of the team
I will have fun driving Little Flipper
pps I do drive but only when shane is not available ( Ireland Dubi Ect ....)
Pete.......
my new wooden robot makes Japanese Fighting Tortoise look like gravity... 1 nail holds it together, it has 5 internal components ( bang bang anyone?) and 1 body piece made of 1% 2mm wood and 150% gaffa tape!
yep i know a 1 wheeled rc car with a picture of george bush taped to the front would have a better chance of coming out in one piece but i blew all my cash on my ants, plus i love being koed by passing butterflys
Nothing wrong with that Jack, any robot can win a fight :) (as Mr Lawrie himself has proven a lot I believe :P)
well done dad
i wanted to win but it will be fun to see lf3 drive down the pit when my dad drives
hard luck to every one my dad can be a know it all sometimes
(as Mr Lawrie himself has proven a lot I believe :P)
LOL
So Glyn HOW WAS MY DRIVING ???????
I think the video shows not too shabby (first drive) and a nice win for me
not bad too to say its all on the wrong stick for me
i must also say i really enjoyed it ( thanks son ) for doing the flipper for me couldn't have won without you by my side ....
whens the next comp so i can drive BIG NIPPER
Hi Pete
both you and Shane drove Little Flipper a lot lot lot better than what Mark did. I think next time Little Flipper goes into competition and Graeme has another robot in it may be my turn to make a fool of myself. I can't do any worse than what Mark did, out in first round of competition proper and then out of first round of the annialator. As for driving Big Nipper you would have to consult with Graeme on that one as he won't even let me drive it or Mark!
