Robot Wars - Evolution
Yes, another Evolution tournament, but Ill tell you why Im making this one: its real robots only, and since I have more of an idea with real robots at the moment, I shall do this today
The format is like the Third World Championships. Quite simply, Id like six people to enter two robots: one from Robot Wars (UK and other countries, but NOT the USA) and one from Battlebots (USA and UK only)
One robot will go through from each fight, and the last US robot and UK robot will go through.
Im moving house at the moment, so dont expect much. Ill do as much as I can, and dont hesitate to point out any mistakes or problems.
The house robots and the S7 arena will be used

Anarchy tactics: Go for Razer - I dont think itll be able to do much to the sides at all (thick polycarb ftw :P) and if I get it at the front or the rear, itll get axed or flipped as appropriate.
Typhoon 2 I shall then deal with in much the smae manner, trying for the flip if at all possible to immobilise it, although if Kat 3 and Kan-Opener can go through the shell Anarchys axe should manage fine, with the long head maybe destroy something inside. :proud:
Killerhurtz tactics: Generally ram and axe robots.

Firestorm V vs. Storm II VS Pussycat
Ill go for Firestorm first, and try and get it down the pit like with what happened in the RW7 Semis. As far as I know, Firestorm couldnt get under the front of Storm II last time, and he never really got at the sides, so I should be okay. :) If Pussycat REALLY starts to become a bother, attack it instead. :proud:
Typhoon II vs. Anarchy vs. Razer
I love Joeys vanity. :P Razer to pit Anarchy almost instantly.
Killerhurtz vs. Biohazard vs. The Matador
Biohazard could self-right if that rear skirt wasnt in the way, so..The MAtador to flip it on its titanium back. :P
Nightmare vs. Voltronic vs. Surgeon General
I cant help but think Ive fought Voltronic before...Nightmare I have, but that was when SG had the crappy disc, and it shattered. Now its got a goooooood disc, but I wont attack Nightmare this fight. I wanna smack open Voltronics side and rear panels first. If I can coax open the lifter as well, Ill try hitting that too, but mostly aim for the sides and rear, while avoiding Nightmares vertical blade as much as I can while attacking Voltronic.

A new breed of robots are coming to Robot Wars to see who is the best, once and for all!
BATTLE ONE
From Durham, Firestorm V!
A wedge with a Co2 powered flipper that can throw robots out of the arena, Firestorm V has beaten robots such as S3 and Terrorhurtz in the past. It was a three time grand finalist and came third in all of them, but with only 2WD, Firestorm could be put out!
From Worcester, in Worcestershire, Pussycat!
Runner up in Series Four, Pussycat and its famous circular saw have won many competitions, including the All-Stars Championships. Its odd design makes it difficult to get hold of, but the wheels are exposed and this has led to its downfall in the past.
From Ipswich, in Suffolk, Storm II!
A box with six wheels, Storm II is the current runner up in Robot Wars. Armed with a lifting arm, its speeds of 25mph are too much for some robots, but it could be hard to control itself. Will Storm II strike lucky here?

House Robots: Mr Psycho and Growler
3-2-1: Activate!
Storm II charges straight for Firestorm, who tries to turn away, but cant in time! OH! SLAMMING it into the wall! Pussycat comes in and hits the back of Storm II, causing no damage, but Firestorm is free and it gets under Pussycat, pushing it towards Mr Psycho! Pussycat needs to get out of there...OHH! Down comes the hammer, and right on top of Pussycat. Storm II pushes into Firestorm again and lifts it up, but not over. Into the other CPZ, which is empty. Pussycat gets away, but Storm II sweeps under it and INTO the wall it goes! Pussycat bouncing away, but it recovers. Firestorm comes back and tries to get around the back of Storm II, but Storm II turns around and pushes it towards Mr Psycho! Pussycat presses the pit release button as the hammer of Mr Psycho CRASHES onto the top of Firestorm! Storm II leaves it alone and charges at Pussycat again. Pussycat hasnt got any real pushing power and that allows Storm II to get under it and push it...OH! Into the pit! Down Pussycat goes! Firestorm tries to push Storm II from the side, but only slides up it! Storm II turns and pushes Firestorm towards Growler! Growler gets his jaws around Firestorms back and pushes it back into the arena centre! Storm II gives chase and pushes Firestorm from the side, back into Mr Psycho! Firestorm gets away, and Mr Psychos hammer misses and smashes the arena floor! Firestorm on the ropes here, because it isnt the best in shoving matches. Storm II gets under the front again and pushes Firestorm towards...OH! Just missing the pit! Firestorm tries to get away, but Storm II lifts it up and pushes it back into Growler, who pushes Firestorm back into the main arena again! Storm II pushes from the back and NOW Firestorm goes down! What a shame. It was a valiant effort from Daniel and Graham, but Storm II, with Kody and Ed, go into the next round!
Cease!
Pussycat sent back to its basket, while Firestorm gets extinguished!
Storm II goes into the next round!
And then, we have Razer, Typhoon II and Anarchy!

The battle, yes. Your patience needs smoothing out, though, ELLIOT. I feel like that match was given to me since you didnt let Steve and Dan have enough time to give tactics. Admittedly I dont think would have given tactics anyway, but its still courteous enough to wait and see if they do. :proud:

As for Voltronics battle, Ill head for the Surgeon General first and try to snag one of the wheel houses, all the while trying to avoid that disc. Once Ive got a good grip, head for the Pit and dump it down. Same tactics against Nightmare.

Meh, its just that if this tournament is supposed to be an honoust battle between RW and BB, its kinda unfair to name the tournament after RW alone :proud:
Your fights, they aren improving, but Kody has got a point, especially for the opening fight people should have a chance to read the line-ups and come up with tactics, not a biggie but still a point ;)

Welcome back to Robot Wars: Evolution! Next, its the second Round One battle.
From Kettering, in Northamptonshire, Anarchy!
A box with eight legs, Anarchy is armed with a front axe and a rear flipper. The axe can go through very thin armour, but it is slow at 5mph.
From Bournemouth, in Dorset, Razer!
The winner of Series Five of Robot Wars and two Robot Wars World Championships, Razer is said to be the best designed robot by some. The weapon is a powerful crushing arm which can cause much damage, but it is unreliable.
From Edinburgh in Scotland, Typhoon II!
The current reigning champion of Robot Wars. The weapon is the spinning shell which can take chunks out of other robots. But if flipped, it has no self-righting mechanism!
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: Anarchy, Razer
B2: Typhoon II
House Robots: Matilda and Shunt
3-2-1: Activate!
Typhoon II spins up to full speed, so the others will want to avoid that. Razer heads straight for Anarchy, who turns to use its flipper. Razer gets the claw on the front scoop, but Anarchy fires its axe. Typhoon approaches the pack. OHH! It SMASHED into the side of Anarchy and sparks fly! Theres a gash in the side of Anarchy, and thatll leave the legs exposed! No damage to Razer, who pushes Anarchy towards the CPZ. Typhoon comes in for another hit on RAZER! Razer just let go of Anarchy and got a smack from Typhoon! Razer spun away, but it chases the RAF machine away. Shunts axe comes down on Anarchy, who tries to flip it away. Typhoon is spinning madly out there, and Razer...OUCH! It tried to grab hold of Typhoon but was spun away and the tip of the beak is slightly bent. Razer heads off. Anarchy escapes the CPZ, only for Razer to get under it again. Typhoon CRASHES into the pit release button! Down goes the pit! Razer drags Anarchy away from Shunt again, but in turn, gets hit itself from Shunt. Typhoon is waiting, perhaps for the pair to come over to it, but they wont risk that, I dont think. Razer gets Anarchy go and goes after Typhoon again. Typhoon approaches first and Razer is SPUN almost twice! Into the angle grinder! Anarchy tries to attack Typhoon with its flipper, but Typhoon is way faster and SOMETHING goes flying off! Anarchy looks very battered. Ian Lewis and Jack from Razer look on. I think Razer has been immobolised! Matilda gives it a nudge. Anarchys axe comes down onto Typhoon and OH! It was spun away by the four blades on Typhoon and the scoop has got a gash in it now! Refbot comes over to look at Razer, who hasnt moved. Typhoon II SMASHES into Anarchy from the side! It has caused so much damage, Typhoon. I think Anarchy has been immobolised as well. Razer is being counted out!
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
What a shame. Razer, we know it is unreliable, and this battle, it couldnt take the knocks. Typhoon spins down, because Anthony and Gary know theyve won. Joey tries to fight back, but only the weapons are working and not the legs! What was that in the background! I think it was Matilda pushing Razer into the pit! Refbot goes over to Anarchy.
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Shunt hits Anarchy with the axe and lifts it onto its side. No self-righting mechanism on Anarchy, but that doesnt matter.
Cease!
Razer cut down and Anarchy quashed!
Typhoon goes into the next round!
Next up: Will the Surgeon General operate on Voltronic, or will Nightmare put it off? Will Biohazard contaminate Killerhurtz, or will The Madator corral it?

Last time on Robot Wars, Storm II and Typhoon II breezed into the next round. Who will join them from the Battlebots bracket?
From San Francisco, in California, Biohazard!
A low box with side skirts, Biohazard is the four time and current Battlebots champion. It has a lifting arm that has felled many robots in the past, and its 6WD allows to to push the opposition around. It has no srimech, though.
From Oxford, in Oxfordshire, Killerhurtz!
One of the few British robots in Battlebots, Killerhurtz is armed with a pneumatic axe and a front ram. It has car style steering, which gives it good manouvrability, but the armour is thin and it is unreliable.
From San Francisco, in California, The Matador!
The Matador is one of Battlebots most powerful flippers. It can throw robots many feet into the air, but the wheels are exposed.

B1: Biohazard, Killerhurtz
B2: The Matador
House Robots: Mr Psycho and Growler
3-2-1: Activate!
Killerhurtz is the fastest and heads toward Biohazard, who turns to get the lifting arm under it. The axe comes down, but it has no effect on Biohazard who topples Killerhurtz over! Killerhurtz self-rights and goes after the champion. The Madator tries to flip Biohazard over, but the skirts stop it from doing so. The axe of Killerhurtz swings onto the top of The Madator, making some scratches but nothing else. Biohazard presses the pit release button. OH! Killerhurtz was thrown across the arena by The Madator! It lands upside down, but it self-rights, Killerhurtz. Biohazard turns to face The Matador and gets under the side! The Matador fires its flipper and gets free, only for Killerhurtz to strike it again with the axe. Biohazard turns and gets under Killerhurtz, lifting it up and pushing it towards the pit! OH! And down it goes, Killerhurtz! In a puff of smoke. It fires the axe madly, but it isnt going to get away, Im afraid! The Matador slides on top of Biohazard, who misses a chance to flip it over! Jack turns Biohazard around, but The Matador flips at the sides. One of the skirts is raised! Is it stuck there? Maybe. The Matador tries to get under it, but Biohazard gets under it first and pushes it into Growlers CPZ! Out Growler comes and he grabs hold of the rear of The Matador, pushing it into Biohazard! OHH! The Matador got a flip in under the raised skirts and Biohazard almost went over! The Matador free, but it is pursuing Biohazard. Now Biohazard turns around to face The Matador. It scoops under The Matadors high ground clearance and flips it over! The Matador self-rights, but Biohazard is waiting and lifts it up. Pushing it into an empty CPZ! The Matador turns to push Biohazard away just as Mr Psycho comes in! OUCH! The hammer came down and hit The Madator on the back. The last ten seconds count down. Biohazard lifts The Matador up, but it crashes down and tries to get under the skirt, even though it has come back down. Biohazard turns and The Madator rides over the top of it. A close fight here.
Cease!
Killerhurtz got killed off by Biohazard, so that leaves the judges to decide the winner!
The Matador: S: 2 C: 2 D: 1 A: 3 Total: 8
Biohazard: S: 2 C: 3 D: 1 A: 3 Total: 9
Biohazard goes into the next round. Well done to Jack! But coming up next: The last round one fight between Nightmare, the Surgeon General and Voltronic.
