Sorry if I shouldnt be posting this here but Id like to mention that three teams (so far) are interested in coming to the provisional show at Aylesbury Town Centre on 10th May 2009.
So two questions:
1. Can antweights come along and fight/perform on that day?
2. Do any other HW/FW teams have antweights that they might bring along?

We will bring Smarty Pants (Zacks robot). I might have an ant by then as well!

Sorry, thats right in the middle of my exams so I doubt that Ant Awe or Frostbite will be attending.

Yes we will most probably be doing Ant Weights again. And im sure as time goes on, more and more teams will be building ants too !!

If me and Marco decide to make the trip with our heavy, Ill probably have some antweight presence too, though theres a lot of ifs around at the moment.
Id like to get Zilch going for an event soon...

Think this is the first event i can attend for a while so hope i can go
We'll hopefully be bringing everything we've got ready by that time but defo Hydra, BOOM!, Cylon and probably BOO!

@ weird alice i run mythras at 24v but if u have a spare 12v sla lol!
@ gezza red will be fine m8...dont think you will remember but i was a robots live reading last year, with ants...valliant and dead meat? anyway red will be fine if i can make it...
be prepared guys mythras is probably the oldest heavy on the block!
Jack I do Tx control at Robots Live, but see a lot of people so reintrodue yourself. (btw I use 24V Leds so unless u go 36V it will be ok).
When will be able to sign up for this event?
There appears to be lots of ants going but no mention of an arena.
I can bring mine if one is not already arranged.

Since the 2 dates are quite close together (Brentwood & Alysbury) we'll have to see how much damage Hunter takes today in his debue, and then see if we can sort that out in time (if he takes that much damage)
BrilliANT 2 is always going to be there, or not, but hopefully he will.
Plus on the subject of arenas, im thinking of making my own AW arena, but i doubt for Aylsebury.
I'll still have Dave Weston's arena from Brentwood so the plan is to take it to Aylesbury as well.
Do we know the setup times?

mythras only got running with the help of some very nice people :mrgreen: you guys know who you are but id like to thank you again :P : thanks to ed for doing a huge amount of work for us, thanks for the led and batteries btw :)
thanks to the owners of the carrying cradle for letting us borrow it :mrgreen: and Trevor for identifying some possible reasons why we couldnt get it running at the beginning :)
thanks also to clive for the wire and the dantomkia guys for giving us loads of ideas :)
but a very large thank you to the roaming robots crew for a brilliant day out :D
the battles were very entertaining, my first fight against dantomkia seemed to go well accept for us dropping a chain :uhoh: , we even managed to wedge him into the side wall at the end :mrgreen: but i guess dantomkia would've done better if his tank hadnt exploded right before the fight lol :lame:
the second fight was a bit more destructive, tilly evo made a bit of a mess of our wiring :roll: and our lid flew of at the end :uhoh:
anyway a great event guys...we will be back... 8) 8) 8)

Thanks for the chance to display our antweights once again, we got some good enquiries, so we hope that our community will continue to grow.
And we managed to run antweights just about all day. I'll bring some run-all-day bots for the next big event, and we will hopefully keep the audience entertained between HW and FW battles.

Enjoyed my 1st fight making mincemeat of everyone then the perennial problem with PT hit again - Geoff was driving so he broke it this time :lol: Should be fit again for Swindon.
Spent the rest of the day chillin' which is what it's all about at Aylesbury 8)
Well Had A Good day set up the arena in good time .. The weather was its now usual sunny warm self ...
Enjoyed all the fights and especially fighting some new blood ( sorry Mythras ) lol a lot of potential there to make something very nice and welcome to the world of roboteering heavyweight style ...
Packed the truck away ind good time too and got home early for once ..... :proud: :proud:
Unlike Clive and the toon army who are currently sat at the side of the A1 awaitng Green Flag too assist the changing of a wheel as some kids have been throwing missiles which smashed two artic lorries windows and the debris blew there tyre..
Never mind clive and co we love you ... ( no one hurt in this ) just the tyre ...

As always nice little event... enjoy the social side and fun of these little ones..

Having had my old car speared through the side by a scaffolding pole I know how frightening it can be getting hit by debris - let alone while driving at high speed.
Glad to know that all are ok and hope they get home safe and soon.
