Kick starting the 2009 Roaming Robots season in style. After the success of last years event, with sell out shows, this year we return with an extra Saturday night show.

Tickets are selling fast, so to avoid disappointment book early via the Roaming Robots Website!

oooooo storm troopers are back. Team bud will take along light sabres for a war on the Empire. After doing well in Dublin Thor is out and looking good. New look Envy fresh from a rebuild will i hope be back to form after a bad 6 months of faults. I will only be attending the Sunday shows so will miss out on beer on the Sat night.

Ill be there, with a new AW replica of the RR arena, plus lots of antweights, and if you have an ant, sign it up :)

I just have to wait for it to arrive in the post and get the necessary componnents from Technobots

If you havnt guessed yet - sign ups are live... Roboteers email to start the year off will be going out early next week. John has been busy hence the delays.

Im going to sign up 2 FW robots, I just hope they survive Rebel Robots.

Our new Heavyweight is signed up, even though it isnt appearing on the list on the RR website. (glitch in the system, doh!)
Cant wait. Its only my second event, and my first running a heavy. feather, and antweights all at once.

Guys, I have seen that the 1st of the 2 days will be Valentines Day, U reckon on that day, we should maybe dress up our robots and give the first day a valentines theme? Only a request!

it should automatically do it. Must be the system glitch.. im not painting ripper pink. I try and get away from valentines day as much as possible. . . Biggest commercial con of all time. ! God im getting grumpy in my old age lol

The list is an auto thing as it creates lots of lists and profiles and other technical stuff which helps us prepare and monitor the events and your points/scores during the events. This is why its important roboteers sign their robots up them selves and take control of their robots and team status. Including updating robot details.

Sorry Dave but its not a glitch on the system, its human error - on your part sadly - you have only signed up robot 1211 which is Canary Wharfare which is showing on the list of robots as the system is fine.

Which heavy weight do you want me to add to your application for this event? Also if you could, create profiles for your ant weights inside your profile login area, then let me know which ones are comming so i can add them also.

Oh yeah Stu, when I say glitch in the system, Im well aware the glitch is me. Having only done this once before, and only having one robot then, Im still learning, ha.

LOL Trev - your mega mouse picture has been uploaded and been online for over a month! The systme works fine....

But Stu does not work fine HAHHA - i forgot to put a tick in your database profile saying your picture is uploaded. Again Human error by ME! Haha. Your picture should be working now, (its been online for over a month sorry mr.). Was wondering why you sent it again - and again. haha.

Speaking about the RR Database, why has my Weight Class statistic for Puglet changed from Antweight to n/a?

This time in 2 weeks well be packing the arena away with our lovely take away. Sign ups close soon... so if your on the fence in coming, then now its crunch time - not that we need any more feather weights, theres lots of em! Im not sure what Jonno has planned for the new format as of yet, but maybe a little reminder that we only really fit in 2 feather weight fights per show. 3 Shows thats 6 battles in total.. and with lots of you signed up... co-operation will be needed.

Cant wait, first event of the year for me, need my buzz back. Updated all my software and media so big stuff to come... not even jonno knows about. haha.

Sheer chaos mostly, from what Ive seen :P

I was planning on running 2 Double Elimination competitions over the course of 3 shows in between fight and during the 15 minute intervals. The stats say 11, but there will actually be 14.

Double Elimination, BTW, basically means a robot has to lose twice to be knocked out of the contest. Ill link to the drawn up tables later on

And yes, new AW arena on its way, complete with pit, outer cage, flipper and lighting :)

Looks like this event is going to kick start the year in style.... ive got a few more days promotional work to do, and then things really kick in with preparations.

Tickets are going extremely well, although this has been a long cold one to promote !! We are going to have 3 very busy shows, if not sold out !!

Looking forward to it !!
