Ok, so we are about to finish 2008, and we are already looking forward to 2009, time to reflect on the last 11 months of robotic events.
This time, with the new database website, things are a little easier, we can make it a true roboteers awards, voted by roboteers. For 2008 we will only be including Heavy and Feather weights but in the future we may consider capturing the other weight classes as well.
Below is a sample of the awards, so that you can start thinking about who you would choose.

All votes are anonymous, so don€™t worry about others knowing who you voted for etc€¦

The voting will take place in the Roboteers section of the website, so you will need to log in and vote for robots on the RR system. Please make sure your profiles and pictures are all up to date !!

Voting will commence at 10pm tomorrow night. Sunday 16th November 2008, and will automatically close at 6pm Saturday 22nd November at the event in Maidstone.
Results and presentations will be made at the end of the second show next weekend, and immediately go live via our website via our internet connection.

Over half of you have voted, so 4 days to go... and must say some of the awards are very close, neck and neck by 3 robots in some areas.

your the only other newcomer i know apart from me and we dont have HWs so i dont know who to vote for in HW.

Tom youve got quite a lot of new heavies. Hydra, Maelstrom, And His Army, Megga Mouse, Iron Awe 6, Tilly Ewe 2 Evo, Ripper Evo and a few more I cant think of at the moment.

Suppose you (or Stu) will have to make the call whether you consider Hydra and Maelstrom as newcomers as the teams are new to heavies but the robots are quite old.

The voting is placed into the roboteers hands, hence why the option is there, so the roboteers make the call.

If you want my personal view, i do class Hydra and Maelstrom as new robots. They both had new paintwork/ mech work/ speedos/motors etc and new drivers, just the chasiss are the same.

We was going to do best New commer team, but we wanted to give out more awards so best HW and FW newcomer.

Over the Winter Season we are adding new features to the robots and teams database, going to spice them up and add more info and features. So get the info in to us so we can get them online for you.
