Robot SMASH!! III: Lock3d and Load3d
In the words of Joey McConnell, upon the opening of Recharged
€œOMG THE ROBOT SMASH!! IS BACK€Â
Oh yes.
As we enter the third series of this major tournament, you will witness the rise of another RS!! Champion, and the fall of many other machines
Ladies and Gentlemen, please applaud the return of ROBOT SMASH!! , coming to you live from channel LIAMISDABEST, we begin the search for a new musical megastar! If you want to see that rubbish turn over because American Idol is on ITV2, but here on LIAMISDABEST we are looking for a robot so mean it€™ll send Gok Wan running home to mamma!
In the first series 64 brave (or stupid) robots rose to the challenge and battled it out in a brutal single elimination tournament. 8 finalists emerged, and they went to war again, but the quarter-finals were tough on the robots and only four were left. Then the semi-finals arrived, and the excellent ISDSFA and Supreme Glory Omega bit the dust, but then in the final Wedge Devolution flipped Nidhogg against the wall to win the very first Robot SMASH!! .
Then Wedge Devolution returned in Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged, and another 95 machines wanted his blood. They did battle across 16 gory heats, with the survivors battling it out in the semi-finals to be narrowed down to 4 almighty robots. The champion made it through along with unseeded veteran Back to Rock III, newcomer PsycloniZer and previous runner-up Nidhogg. They did battle in two bloodthirsty eliminators, with Nidhogg crumpling after a flurry of spinning attacks from PsycloniZer and BTRIII ending up on the camera tracks courtesy of Wedge Devolution, but then in the final it was all over for Wedge and a new champion arose, Andys flipper killing machine PsycloniZer!
And now the epic story continues. Can PsycloniZer retain the title, or will another new robot rise to victory?
The seedings will be announced after the entries are in, but these will be the seedings if all the following robots are entered:

The Arena
The first SMASH!! Took place in a slightly modified version of the RW arena, but the second created the coliseum. Now we have an entirely new arena, the ROBOTAGON! This is a fairly small 12 metre x 12 metre octagon with two starting squares, a red in the top left corner and a blue in the bottom right corner. Each square is big enough for two robots. In the bottom left corner there is a pit, big enough for any robot. The release button is on the top wall. In the top right corner there is a hazard coloured semi-circle where a house robot will patrol. Surrounding the perimeter of the arena there is a strip of tungsten static spikes, and in the bottom side there is flame pit for all those comedy robots covered in fur... The walls are 50mm hardox and just 45cm high; the floor is stainless steel for plenty of magnetism.
Reservation Policy
You can reserve a place in the competition, but it will be held only for 1 week. If anyone gets their stats in before you then it€™s whoever gets their stats in first gets the spot. Every time that the entry list is posted I will write next to your name how much time is left of your reservation.
Rules
Weight Limits:
100kg for wheeled robots
110kg for shuffling and tracked robots
200kg for true walkers
Flying robots are banned
Passive weaponry is allowed
Interchangeable weaponry is allowed, no limit on the amount of setups
Cluster bots are allowed, but no more than 5 parts, if 50% of the robot is immobilised then the whole bot is eliminated, each part must make up an equal percentage of the overall weight
No smokescreens
Battles
You can win by:
Flipping
Stacking
OOTA
Pitting
Critically impair opponent€™s motion (eg take out 50% of the drive)
Completely immobilise opponent€™s drive
You cannot pin an opponent for more than 30 seconds, the same goes for holding on with a weapon. Note however that this rule no longer applies to stacking.
Each fight lasts 3 minutes maximum. If two or more robots are running at the end the fight will be judged on damage, aggression, control and dominance. Each is marked out of ten, and times on order of importance: Damage x 4, Aggression x 3, Control x 2, Dominance x 1
This is the same system used with success last season
Rewrites
If I mess up and do anything impossible, please don€™t blow up, just point it out calmly and if it is indeed a valid point(s) then I will be more than happy to rewrite.
Tournament Structure
Depends on how many entries I get. The heats will be like those from RW6/RW7, but there will be 12 or 16 depending on how many entries I get.
House Robots
Yes, I know I said I would never do them in RS!! , but I just can€™t resist. One will appear in each fight alongside the refbot. Also I am using the Robot Wars House Robots. Also, if you have a house robot that you would like to feature in this tournament I will gladly allow it to feature among these, all you need is a brief description, though if you have stats that is fine. This is entirely OPTIONAL, and unless you want to don€™t go to the expense of making them specially. There is however a 500kg weight limit.

Stats
This applies mostly to vapours. I know a lot of realies, but not every single one that ever existed so I if don€™t know much about a realie I will tell you, a video will usually suffice, but as long as you can give a description you should be OK. You only have to post a video or a description if I require one for one or more realies, I will let you know.
You can set your stats out in any format, but they must include the following (please note one category- such as power- may contain both drive motor and batteries/voltage):
Robot Name: What your robot is called
Shape: What shape your robot is
Weight: See weight limits
Dimensions: Preferably in CM, l x w x h unless stated otherwise
Motivation: Wheels/Tracks/Legs etc.
Armour: What your robot is armoured with
Weaponry: What weapons (if any) your robot has
Speed: What speeds can it reach or what speed is its average?
Ground Clearance: Remember if it is 0 all round you won€™t move, though you can make it 0 with skirts, though if you have skirts please state the clearance behind them
Turning Circle: Most types are 0, unless you have car steering
Colour: What colour(s) you robot is
Srimech: What your robot has to right itself (if it can) or is it invertible?
Please note that the following three are OPTIONAL:
Strengths: Pros of your design
Weaknesses: Cons of your design
Notes: Anything else?
Entries
I need either 12 or 16 people to enter 8 robots each (see Tournament Structure). They can be vapours or realies, you decide, but you must have at least 1 realie. Realies cannot be from before series 5 of Robot Wars and Season 3.0 of Battlebots. I have made this decision because in the past people (COUGH JOEYALEX COUGH) have entered very old realies.
(COUGH INFUSION FAMILY COUGH) This goes for realies and vapours, you cannot enter two or more robots the same, whether they are painted different colours and/or have very slight changes or not, I will judge whether two or more very similar entries are allowed.
Regarding vapours I am willing to look in other threads for stats as long as you tell me where they are and all stats are in one thread, otherwise please post them here or post a link to where I can find them. People with their stats on ZED only need to give me a list of names; I know where your stats are.
Remember to specify the name of house robots if you have any and are willing to lend them.
Anything I€™ve missed or any questions you have feel free to ask.
Also, I€™ve done a lot of coughing through this lengthy opening thread, does anyone have a soother?
So, what are you silly, foolish people waiting for?
Get entering!!!
Please note that this may not start for a while, so I will allow robots to be swapped with their updated versions right up until the time the first battle is written, but you can only change robots completely before the draw is done.

Robot SMASH!! III: Lock3d and Load3d
Woot, I missed entering this last time:)
Cobalt
Shape - Mostly a shallow wedge with a small box section at the rear.
Speed - 16 MPH
Dimensions(lwh): 70CM X 45 CM X 20 CM
Armour - 4 mm Hardox for the top, 5 mm for the sides and 5 mm Grade 5 Ti for the base.
GC - 3 CMs at the very rear, going down to 0 at the front, assisted by a sharpened wedge extender allowing it to slide under the lowest ground clearance.
Weapon 1 - The wedge.
Weapon 2 - A flat disc of doom style flywheel on the front wedge. Robots get thrown off after having their bases and wheels shredded. The disc is run on a Lem-130 on 24 volts and spins at 500 RPM. The disc is made of 4 mm Hardox, with two Hardox teeth, angled in the direction of spin.
Drive - Two wheel drive, with the wheels positioned at the very rear of the machine and castors around the middle to provide stability. This is powered by two S28-400 Magmotors on 24 volts.
Srimech - A lifting bar/plate made of 5 MM Grade 5 Ti/V. This not only self rights the robot, but also gives the disc some protection from axe attacks. The base bar is curved so it avoids hitting the disc. This is powered by a LEM-130 on 24 volts.
Colour: Blue
Dead Horse beater
Shape: A box with a wedge at the front.
Speed: 12 MPH.
Dimensions(lwh): 80CM X 50 CM X 25 CM
Armour: 5 MM hardox for the top sides, rear. 4 mm Aluminium for the base.
GC: 1 mm at the front 6 mm elsewhere.
Weapon: An axe, shaped like a baseball bat with a nail in it. The shaft is made from 5 MM Ti, the nail is hardox. This is pneumatic, powered by two rams at 750 psi.
Drive: 2 wheels, powered by two S28-400 magmotors at 24 volts.
Srimech: The axe. The sides are rounded so it won€™t rest on them.
Colour: Red main body, the axe shaft is brown and the nail is unpainted. The horse is also brown.
Strengths: Good armour, axe should be powerful and have a fair amount of hits. Can still push if axe fails. Has a picture of a dead horse on the top.
Weaknesses: Base armour isn€™t too good, axes are hard to aim.
ISDSFA
Shape: Similar to Behemoth.
Speed: 15 MPH.
Dimensions(lwh): 70CM X 60 CM X 40 CM
Armour: 3.5 mm hardox, reinforced to 5 mm around the wheels. Scoop is made of 5 mm hardox.
GC: 0 mm at front, 1 CM everywhere else covered with 3 mm ti side skirts.
Weapon 1: Electric scoop, powered by linear actuators. Should be able to lift around 250 KGs.
Weapon 2: Small flywheel, giving around 8 KJs per hit. This is hidden behind the scoop. Once a robot is raised, this is extended to strike the base of the victim, with the aim of attacking wheels.
Drive: 4 wheels, driven by Lem 130s.
Srimech: The scoop, and Behemoth style side arms.
Strengths: Good pushing power and able to attack a robots drive directly.
Weaknesses: Spinner pretty much useless against armour.
Colour: Red and black diagonal stripes
Masamune
Shape: Barrel shaped, with a 20 CM long wedge at the front, with a sword blade extender. More on this a little later.
Speed: 15 MPH
Size: 80x50x25 CMs (LWH)
GC: 3 CMs at the sides and rear, 0 at the front.
Armour: 6 mm Hardox all over except for a 5 mm Ali baseplate. With the exception of the wedge, the barrel is made out of one sheet of hardox so there are no plates that can just be torn off.
Weapon: Retractable sword lifter. The sword blade can be extended 15 CMs out from the wedge to allow it to get under any spinner safely, or it can be retracted to extend only a couple of CMs from the wedge to allow it to lift with more control. The actual moving part s the wedge, which is powered by two linear actuators and should be able to lift around 200 KGs. It can also be lowered slightly, causing the sword to dig into the floor slightly resulting in it being able to get under even 0 GC wedges and skirts. The actual sword blade is made from 5 mm grade 5 Ti.
Drive: 4 internal wheels with vulkanised tyres, powered by two S28-400 Magmotors at 24 volts.
Batteries: 4 packs of 24 volt NiCads.
Shrimech: The rollover barrel shape. If it gets stranded against a wall, it can use the sword to push itself away.
Colour: The barrel is yellow, the rest is unpainted.
The May Tracks Has You
Shape: Like Comengetorix. It has a wedge extender to give it 0 mm at the front.
Speed: 20 MPH.
Dimensions(lwh A): 85CM X 45 CM X 24 CM
Armour: 4.5 MM hardox.
GC: 0 mm at the front, 6 mm everywhere else, covered by skirts made of 3 mm Ti.
Weapon 1: Rear hinged flipper, powered by two pneumatic rams at 500 psi.
Weapon 2: Upward facing spikes on the wedge. A robot can go over them, but if it tries to reverse, say goodbye to your tyres. By wedging a robot then reversing suddenly, TMTHY can impale the tyres, then fire the flipper to do loads of damage. Even a robot with stuffed tyres will be limping after that.
Drive: Inner tracks, powered by Lem-130€™s at 24 volts.
Srimech: The flipper.
Strengths: Weapon synergy. Once The May Tracks Has You, there is no escape.
Weaknesses: Axe/flipper combos could take the tracks out.
Colour: Grey. Has the Agent€™s sunglasses painted on the sides.
Sakura
Shape: Shaped like a closed cherry blossom, sort of conical.
Speed: 12 MPH
Dimensions(dh): 90X30 - diameter taken from the widest part of the machine, it gets narrower as it goes up.
Colour: Let€™s just say it€™s a shade Bex would approve of:proud:
GC: 1 CM
Turning circle: 0
Weapon: Team Bored€™s first true FBS clocks in with a 50 KG FBS shell, spinning at 1500 RPM and powered by two LEM 130s on 36 volts, which should give a nice fast spin up time. There are four hardox teeth, painted and shaped to look like leaves. These are razor sharp to give a nice slice, and they€™re also barbed to catch and rip opponents. I can only estimate the power output due to the shape not being supported by the energy calculator. This clocks in between 90-100 KJs.
Weapon 2: Humiliation. Who wants to admit they just got beat up by a flower?:proud:
Armour: 8 mm hardox for the spinning shell, 5 mm Polypropylene for the base.
Drive: 4 wheel drive, powered by two S28-400 Magmotors on 24 volts.
Srimech: There€™s a hole at the very top of the cone, out of which a blunt self righting spike can come up. This is powered by low pressure pneumatics. Due to weight constraints, it can probably only self right about ten times.
Features: Near the top of the cone are holes. These aren€™t just for reducing weight, as each hole leads to a small aluminium box which is full of pink confetti. As the shell spins, this should be strewn out, allowing Sakura to fight in a cloud of cherry blossoms.
The 6isc
Shape: Like an old fashioned bar-bell. It is two circular wheel pods, connected by an axle in the middle of which sits the disc.
Size: 60X110X60 CM (LWH)
Weight: ~100 KGs
Speed: 10 MPH.
Ground clearance: Under the wheel protectors, it€™s 5 mm.
Weapon: 26 KG spinning disc, powered by one LEM 130 Lynch motor and going at 2500 RPM. The disc is shaped with its own teeth rather than needing teeth surgically attached to it, so dentistry is quite impossible. The energy output is 36 KJ€™s which, while modest by vapour €˜bot standards should still be enough to make a mess of things.
Wheels: 6 wheels, but four wheel drive. This has three wheels on either side arranged in a triangular fashion, so it only runs on four at a time. The wheels are 1 CM solid Ti with soft compound rubber wrapped around them to provide shock resistance, and a layer of Vulcalon wrapped around that to provide traction.
Chassis: The main chassis consists of one solitary 1 CM thick 4 mm box section hardox bar. Slotted over that is a secondary axle, inside which are the batteries. There are also two other triangular chassis€™ supporting the wheels. These are made from 4 MM 1 CM box section Ti bars with weight reducing holes.
Armour: The true axle and chassis is a 4 MM hardox bar. The battery axle is 2 mm aluminium. The semi circular wheel protectors and side spikes are 5 mm Hardox. The disc itself is 14 MM of Hardox 500, and the outer axle is 4 mm grade 5 Ti.
Srimech: Totally invertible. Controls won€™t even have to be reversed after flipping, meaning it can just go straight back on the attack.
Drive: 2 S28-400 Magmotors at 24 volts.
Strengths: The newest version of The 6isc does away with as many weaknesses in The Disc 5 as I could find.
Weaknesses: Weak armour in places. Can€™t use axe attacks.
Colour: The wheel protecting hubs are red, the rest is unpainted.
And Ill take Firestorm, series 7 for my realie.
Heres a pic of Cobalt:

TEAM BRAVEHEART :proud:
1. Wedge Devolution
2. Killotine: EVO
3. Spin Dash Unleashed
4. Whirligig 4.5
5. E Clawdius Unum
6. Turbo Tails
7. Traffic Warden
8. 13 Black (RW Ex 2)
STATS:
1. Wedge Devolution
SHAPE- low wedge with sloped rear
COLOUR- sleek and shiny silver
WEIGHT- about 100kg
DIMENSIONS- 90cm X 75cm X 30cm
SPEED- 16mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0
GROUND CLEARANCE- 0mm at the front, 7mm for the rest of the robot. Fitted with Biohazard-style skirts on sides and rear, giving 0mm
ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox
WHEELS- inside robot, 4-wheel drive
POWER- 2 X LEM-130s; 2 x 12v 3amp NiCad packs, giving 36v @ 12amp
WEAPONS- As usual, the main weapon is a rear-hinged flipper. This is very similar to Chaos 2, except the blade at the bottom is bent ala Bigger Brother, allowing the flipper to have greater effect against bots with skirts or low centres of gravity. The flipper itself is powered by 2 X 80mm high pressure pneumatic rams, each running at 250psi. This should allow Wedge Devo to comfortably flip up to 1 tonne.
SRIMECH- The flipper can right the machine easily and the rear wedge should hopefully prevent a Chaos-style self-flip. Also, Wedge Devo is equipped with a grey semi-sphere on either side of robot to prevent it getting stuck on its side
NOTES- flashing red light on top of robot, flies Scotland flag
STRENGTHS- powerful flipper, fast, manoeuvrable, difficult to get underneath, tough armour, good traction
WEAKNESSES- could prove a bit tricky to control, limited CO2 (like all other flippers :P)
http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/7555/wedgedevolutionza6.pnghttp://img166.imageshack.us/img166/7...olutionza6.png
2. Killotine: EVO
SHAPE- compact box-wedge ala Storm 2, rounded back
COLOUR- red
WEIGHT- about 100kg
DIMENSIONS- 100cm X 70cm X 35cm
SPEED- 16mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0m
GROUND CLEARANCE- virtually 0mm at the front with spatula, 10mm at sides and back. Skirts at sides and back produce 0mm.
ARMOUR- 3.25mm Hardox
WHEELS- inside robot, 4WD
POWER- 2 X LEM-130s; 2 x 12v 3amp NiCad packs, giving 36v @ 12amp
WEAPONS- The main weapon is the large pneumatic axe, composed of 3.5mm hardox. It is very similar to that of Killerhurtz and operates with a rack-and-pinion system like Terrorhurtz. Running on 160psi, the axe runs off an 80mm X 20mm ram and stores its gas in a 2kg main bottle and 1kg buffertank. If anything goes wrong with the axe, Killotine can use its great pushing power to simply ram its opponents to death.
SRIMECH- The axe. Even if it€™s already been fired while flipped, the axe can right itself ala Killerhurtz. Also, just like the original Killotine, the machine has a rounded back and a red semi-sphere on either side of robot to stop it getting beached.
NOTES- flies the Scotland flag, thanks to Tom, Aaron & AJ for helping with the design
STRENGTHS- Fast, dangerous weapon, good amount of traction, difficult to get under, quick srimech, nice and fast
WEAKNESSES- so-so turning, limited gas supply
http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/8806/killotineevocw0.pnghttp://img511.imageshack.us/img511/8...tineevocw0.png
3. Spin Dash Unleashed (formerly Metal Sonic Spin Dash)
SHAPE- skirted box, with rounded sides and back.
COLOUR- dark blue bodywork, with red-and-white striped skirting.
WEIGHT- about 100kg
DIMENSIONS- 100cm X 75cm X 20cm
SPEED- 16mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- virtually 0mm all round, 10mm at sides and rear without skirts.
ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox
MOVEMENT- inner, 6WD
POWER- 2 x LEM-130s. These run at 36v and produce approximately 18hp.
WEAPONS- A horizontal Pussycat-style saw blade on the front. The blade is mounted on the underbelly ala Code:BLACK and is designed to chew up skirts and wheels. It is powered by an S28-150 Magmotor and runs at 3000rpm. Its 18hp and shape also makes it an excellent battering ram.
SRIMECH- invertible. The rounded sides and rear also prevent it getting beached.
NOTES- flies Scotland flag.
STRENGTHS- excellent traction, fast, tough armour, low weaponry, invertible
WEAKNESSES- untested, so-so manoueverability, saw blade less effective upside-down
http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/5359/spindash6ta1.pnghttp://img137.imageshack.us/img137/5...indash6ta1.png
4. Whirligig 4.5 (sort of formerly Whirligig 4.0)
SHAPE- flat disc
COLOUR- gold with Mauler-style scary face on top. The face shows the direction of the robot.
WEIGHT- about 100kg (see bottom)
DIMENSIONS- 101.6cm diameter X 12.7cm
SPEED- 15mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0
GROUND CLEARANCE- 8mm
ARMOUR- 1.905 cm thick Grade 5 titanium
FEET- inside robot, uses 4 DrillZilla-style shuffling plates. These help prevent the bot being flung halfway across the ring on contact with another bot, ala Typhoon
POWER- 2 X S28-400s running on 36v. Uses 120 X NiCad cells at 36v, producing 12amps at 36v overall for drive and weapon power
WEAPONS- The main weapon on Whirligig is the spinning outer ring, fitted with 9 x Pussycat-style claws. The spinner is powered by an LEM-130 running at 36v. It can reach speeds of 1000rpm and produce up to 100kJ...more than enough to kill another bot at full speed.
As well as this, the power in the shuffling feet mean that Whirly can act as a pretty powerful pusher if the shell fails to work
SRIMECH- the robot is invertible and the blades prevent Whirly landing on his side
NOTES- flies Scotland flag, thanks to AJ, my first properly calculated machine
STRENGTHS- fast, manoeuvrable, very deadly weaponry, tough armour, scary face shows its direction, very good traction, cant be flung away on impact as easily as Typhoon
WEAKNESSES- so-so manoeuvrability, feet may prove vulnerable to crushers and axes
WEIGHT CHECK:
armour = 33.72kg (inc blades)
chassis, mounts, bracing etc = about 30kg
drive and weapon motors = 12kg overall
NiCads = about 15kg
feet = about 10kg overall
TOTAL WEIGHT = 100.72kg. Fits right into the roller limit, with the 1% error margin rule. Probably.
http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/1297/whirligig45xt7.pnghttp://img137.imageshack.us/img137/1...ligig45xt7.png
5. E Clawdius Unum (formerly Clawdius Decimus Murderous)
SHAPE- skirted wedge with small box section and rounded back
COLOUR- deep green with red shield emblazoned on the wedge, depicting a gold lion with a crown
WEIGHT- about 100kg
DIMENSIONS- 95cm X 70cm X 40cm
SPEED- 14mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0m
GROUND CLEARANCE- virtually 0mm at the front, 0mm at sides and rear thanks to skirts (arranged in a Biohazard fashion, corner-to-corner), 10mm without
ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox
WHEELS- inside robot, 4-wheel drive
POWER- 2 X S28-400 MagMotors
WEAPONS- The main weapon, as ever, is the hydraulic diamond-tipped crushing claw. It is powered by a Vivoil pump with an 80mm x 40mm ram, with a 2kg tank for storing the hydraulics. The claw runs at 3000psi and, aided by the diamond tip, should be able to leave plenty of holes in another robot.
The front wedge also features a Firestorm-style blade and two flat spears to aid in getting under the opposition. The wedge itself is now home to several Mute-style barbs to help ensnare other robots.
SRIMECH- A rear-hinged pneumatic arm on either side, powered by a pair of linear actuators. The rounded rear also prevents the robot getting beached.
NOTES- flies the Scotland flag, thanks to AJ, et tu, Brute? written on the underbelly
STRENGTHS- Quite nippy, good traction, powerful weapon, difficult to get underneath, fairly quick srimech
WEAKNESSES- so-so manoeuvrability
http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/1801/eclawdiusunumor1.pnghttp://img137.imageshack.us/img137/1...iusunumor1.png
6. Turbo Tails
SHAPE- short box with front wedge, sloped sides & rounded rear
COLOUR- yellow with the foxs face looking particularly evil on the front slope
WEIGHT- approx 100kg
DIMENSIONS- 100cm X 75cm X 25cm
SPEED- 16mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0m
GROUND CLEARANCE- approx 0mm at front (titanium blade), 8mm everywhere else
ARMOUR- 3.5mm monocoque Hardox, with 2mm yellow fur over that.
MOVEMENT- 4 inner wheels
POWER- 2 x C40-500 MagMotors. Can produce approximately 12hp.
WEAPONS- Tails chief weapon is the horizontal spinning blade. Now mounted on top, its a bit heavier than before and has Fluffy-style heads instead of the old hammers. Its powered by an LEM-130 running at 36v and has top speeds of around 2500rpm, so its definately just as deadly as before - if not, more so!
The front wedge also hosts a forward-hinged flipping arm, powered by an 80mm x 20mm full-pressure CO2 ram. The arm operates at 750psi, giving it a fair bit of oomph, and stores its gas in a 2kg main bottle. Capable of just over 30 fires per fight.
SRIMECH- The flipper. Sloped sides and rounded rear also prevent it getting beached.
NOTES- flies the Scotland flag, thanks to AJ
STRENGTHS- weapons synergy, touger armour, fast, fairly compact, greater pushing power
WEAKNESSES- not quite as manouverable as before, flammability, wholl take it seriously?
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/7952/turbotailslongered5.pnghttp://img84.imageshack.us/img84/795...slongered5.png
7. Traffic Warden (HW)
SHAPE- rigid U shape, rounded rear
COLOUR- black with a yellow stripe
WEIGHT- 100kg, I hope
DIMENSIONS- 95cm X 150cm X 25cm
SPEED- 15mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- 10mm
ARMOUR- 4mm Grade 5 titanium
MOVEMENT- four inner wheels
POWER- 2 x Etek-RT motors, running at 48v and producing 38hp.
WEAPONS- Two vertical hydraulic clamps within the middle of the machine. Each clamp is powered by an 80mm x 40mm ram operating at 3000psi, delivering up to 10 tonnes of crushing power. When an opponent slips into the middle, the clamps activate and hold them in place. Traffic Warden can then drag them around and shove them into the nearest arena hazard. Think of it as Huggy Bear on steroids.
SRIMECH- invertible, rounded rear should prevent it getting beached
NOTES- flies Scotland flag, super special awesome thanks to Daniel Stickler, Martijn and AJ for helping with the design
STRENGTHS- good traction, tough shell, fairly manoueverable, nippy, powerful grip
WEAKNESSES- untested weapon, exposed ground clearance
http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/1130/trafficwardenfinalto6.pnghttp://img381.imageshack.us/img381/1...enfinalto6.png

Robot SMASH!! III: Lock3d and Load3d
New vapour done...actually something else was planned but mysterious circumstances and events that shall become clearer very shortly disrupted that, so I threw something together very quickly:
Lights! Camera! Traction! (credit to Matty for the name)
DIMENSIONS: 100 x 80 x 20 cms
SHAPE: Box with front wedge
COLOUR: Yellow and black chevrons
DRIVE: 2 wheelchair motors on four wheel drive from 2 SLA batteries at 24v, the wheels are some ones nicked from a wheelbarrow and are inside the robot for protection from side attacks.
SPEED: 8mph
GROUND CLEARANCE: 10mm all around, except the front which is 0
ARMOUR: 10mm 2014 T6 aluminium monocoque with the top plate being 5mm 2014 aluminium and 5mm polycarbonate bonded together
WEAPONS: None
SRIMECH: Invertible
STRENGTHS: Moves
WEAKNESSES: Lack of weaponry
-
Robot SMASH!! III: Lock3d and Load3d
How much does it weigh?
And also Samuel needs to know Reventon and Ramminator 1 1/2 are identical except for saw blade/disc, they are not accepted by the identical entry rule
-
Robot SMASH!! III: Lock3d and Load3d
It weighs on the right side of 100kg :P
And as for the project mentioned above, due to lots of last minute things and machinations of thingies that caused stuff to happen, I am leaving Lights! Camera! Traction! in my squad as Ive posted it now and it deserves at least one fight :proud: Instead, I would like STAT to be withdrawn and replaced with a Team Britespark/Team Chevron collaboration (or, if you prefer to look at it differently, a Joey/Dan collaboration), Hex Appeal.
