The arena is, of course, the Battlegrounds. You can read all about it in Crash & Burn 3s first post. I cant be bothered to post it here. :P
Fight format will be straight knock-out: if all house robots go out, competitors will face each other: if vice-versa, then same thing. No third-place play-off: this is straight to the Final.

Wheels - 4 go-kart style wheels

Clearance - the wedge has no clearance, and the sides have 3mm titanium skirts so its 0 there too. Without skirts theres 5mm of clearance
Armour - 6mm titanium and for the bottom its 6mm polycarbonate
Dimensions - 105cm x 75cm x 30cm
Weapons - A titanium axe, using a rack-and-pinion mechanism, powered by 2 2kg CO2 tanks and fed off a 210mm x 125mm pneumatic ram. Running at 250psi.

NAME- Glasgow Kiss
SHAPE- A bit like a formula one car on acid. Plenty of swoopy surfaces and so on.
DIMENSIONS (LWH)- Cant remember
COLOUR- Black and groovy, with red wheel shields
WEIGHT- 100kg probably
SPEED- 15mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0
GROUND CLEARANCE- 0 at front scoop, 1cm elsewhere.
ARMOUR- 5mm titanium, hand sculpted by paid urchins. Polycarbonate over some bits. Fresh air between sides and innards.
WHEELS- 4, front studded wheels and rear Razer-wheels
POWER- 2 x Mag S28-400€™s powered by 24v of 9Ah Nicads.
WEAPON 1- Axe, powered by two pneumatic cylinders at 1000psi CO2 on a rack an pinion
SRIMECH - Yes
NOTES- Could probably take you in a fight.
SUMMARY- Style over substance, form over function, designed to be functional but above all to look pretty cool. WLTM Zlayerz house robots for interesting conversation, a headbutt in the face and quiet walks along the beach.

STILTSKIN vs. Renegade
Flip it around a lot, possibly out of the arena if the opportunity to do so arises.
Also, avoid the front.
It may be possible to combine these two ideas into a single tactic, such as Flip it out of the arena from the sides or rear while avoiding the front or some similar phrasing, but you are free to draw your own conclusions on this matter provided theyre not stupid ones.

Exodus vs. Triple Whamlet
Exodus will appear as follows:
Front wedge angled at 30*
Rounded rear
Track Coverings with barbs
Weapon Setup 1
Top/Base= Blue
Front/Rear= green
Sides= Black
Skirts= Purple
Tactics are to try and stay away from the front and attempt to get under the side/rear clearance. From there Ill try to throw it out of the arena or into the pit.

My speed advantage should help me here. I should be able to get to the sides or rear, where there is a 7mm clearance to exploit. Being as it is so huge I should easily find a place to get the flipper under. Then its a case of throwing it around, which shouldnt be a problem even if it is 400kgs. It also cant push wedges well which should help.

My tactics are for Back to Rock to exploit that big GC of Asterix and lift and pit it. When under it his belly has to face my saw where I can eather cut into the weak polycarb OR into the tires, both options look nice. Furthermore he has some control issues so I will take advantage of that.

We have had two champions in the past...Stop Crying Your Heart Out and ArchAngel of the Abyss together put Asterix and Tira to shame in the first rebellion to claim the top spot. Taki-san then rose to redeem the house robots honour...but Tony Politzis Shovearound 2 defied the ninjas bloody path and sent her back to her maker...now the next stage begins.

Ge5orce vs. Exa-Gore-Ic Evo
Representing the competitors and Team ??? is Ge5orce, entered by Andrew Jackson. Its a Wheely Big Cheese-shaped wedge. Its got some nice Hardox armour and wheel guards to fend off spinning weapons. A nice powerful flipper, working perfectly fine inverted, has twice the power of Wheely Big Cheese, who could manage only 800kg. However, if its flipper is breached, it wont be pushing much with its 2WD. Andy is hoping to force his way to the next round. :proud:
Representing the Team Zlayerz house robots is Exa-Gore-Ic Evo. Its definitely a weighty opponent at 400kg, and it has nice beefy claws powered by a strong hydraulic system which can give out 16 tonnes at the ram and 9 tonnes at the tips. It has a pneumatic spike in the middle as well to punch through armour, and its invertible. However due to its weight it might be sluggish when turning, but Exa-Gore-Ic intends to gore opponents straight through. :proud:

ACTIVATE!
The first to move, of course, is Ge5orce, as the 400kg house robot moves towards the competitor, unafraid of any weaponry. This recklessness and disregard costs Exa-Gore-Ic straight away as Ge5orce speeds right past Exa-Gore-Ic, who simply cant turn fast enough and the flipper finds its way under the sides and tosses the big house robot into the air. Exa-Gore-Ic lands on its back but turns to face Ge5orce, who makes another dash at the side. This time Exa-Gore-Ic is able to keep the front pointed at him and Ge5orce slams into the front end. The claws start to close, but Ge5orce is able to slide under slightly and open the flipper first, sending Exa-Gore-Ic onto its rear end. Its not enough to send Exa-Gore-Ic over, but it does allow Ge5orce to slide further under Exa-Gore-Ic as it falls, and now Exa-Gore-Ic is completely wedged by the flipper. Opponent in tow, Andy goes for the pit release button, and makes it there, but by doing this, Exa-Gore-Ics weight is shifted off the wedge and almost falls off. Not to be put off, Ge5orce throws Exa-Gore-Ic over again, the 400kg robot crashing to. Exa-Gore-Ic turns again, but unable to counter the oncoming charge of Ge5orce; Andy is delighted to find out that he can straight away attack the house robot, and plows straight into the front again, tossing it up; but the angle causes Exa-Gore-Ic to teeter up and over, sideways, and suddenly the situation turns on its head as Exa-Gore-Ics claws enclose Ge5orces wheel guard and squeeze! Ge5orce spins around, and just manages to avoid the crushing getting under Exa-Gore-Ics side and toppling it right towards the wall...and Exa-Gore-Ic is stuck on its side! How humiliating, as the claws retract and close frantically, but sadly as they are the same hiehgt as Exa-Gore-Ic, they arent doing anything except moving him up and down onto his side. Ge5orce backs off as The Watcher, displeased by his teammates performance, counts him out.

Back to Rock III vs. Asterix Anarchius
Representing the competitors and Team Varying Every Day is Back to Rock III, entered by Martijn Benschop. Its got titanium armour and Lynch-drive, giving it a nice run down at the opponent. What makes Back to Rock so unique is the lifter; it lifts, but it also lifts the Pussycat-style sawblade with it to damage opponents further. Hes no rock in the park, be warned. :proud:
Representing the Team Zlayerz house robots is Asterix Anarchius. This invertible box-on-wheels hasnt changed much from his previous design except for the addition of titanium spikes at the front wedge, and a heavier mass at 118kg. Still damn quick and still damn pushy, this gaul must be descended from Vercingetorix or something...though that doesnt really seem like a good thing. :proud:

ACTIVATE!
The house robot runner-up is quick off the mark, but Back to Rock isnt exactly idle either and moves towards Asterixs side. Brave but rather futile seeing as Back to Rock isnt as agile as Asterix and the house robot plows into the side of Martijns lifter before he can turn. The skirt is easily breached and Asterix carries Back to Rock right across the arena into the wall! WHAM! The arena trembles from the collision as Back to Rock meets about 60mm of polycarbonate wall, smushed against it by Asterixs mass, and bounces off into the air, coming down onto its back. The lifter pops up and self-rights Back to Rock, but not fast enough to prepare for another assault by the house robot, and 118kg of DarkZlayerz force pummels into the challenger sending him onto the wedge and again bashed intensely against the wall opposite! This time, however, Back to Rock lands right-side-up from his resulting flight and charges for Asterixs side. Asterix backs off now, none too keen on having its ground clearance exposed and waits for Back to Rock to come near. Of course, this is not what he gets, as Martijn also backs away, right towards the pit release button, and so opening the pit.
Asterix charges immediately after seeing this, and again plows into Back to Rock, this time in the front...the results would have favoured Martijn this time around, however Asterix was simply moving much too fast as he was thrown up onto the lifter of Back to Rock, and flew sideways off of it before Martijn could activate it. However, Asterix is now inverted, and has to back up as Back to Rock comes for him, that little bit more confident. Asterix bites the bullet and once more plows into him, this time with the rear Dantomkia-style wedge, but Back to Rock is favoured this time as his own lifter proves the lower and he quickly lifts Asterix up before the latter can rectify his mistake. The saw happily chews away the 5mm polycarbonate top (now bottom) armour on Asterix as hes lifted into the air, higher, higher, and Back to Rock takes Asterix towards the pit. Asterix struggles, and to Martijns surprise manages to break free of the lift and land back on the floor again!
Back to Rock turns on him angrily, but the house robot seems just as wrathful; hes right-side-up again, the top armour chewed up savagely, but the wedge blades glint dimly. Both robots charge, but Asterix feigns a sudden turn to the left, then goes for the right. Or thats what it would have looked like, if Asterixs traction didnt give away suddenly, as it slides to the left side of Back to Rock, the grippy polyurethane shockingly unable to find a grip on the surface, but suddenly masters itself and pushes into Back to Rock as it tries to turn. The 7mm titanium skirt is defeated again and the spikes hit one of Back to Rocks wheels! We dont know yet if that wheel is bludgeoned, but Asterix seems unable to wedge Back to Rock, while Back to Rock does not appear to be moving fast at all. Asterix nears the pit, and Martijn bows his head as...he suddenly snaps his head back up, for Back to Rock suddenly is dangling right above the pit! Something is definitely amiss. Asterix seems to be stuck to Back to Rock...and without a doubt, as the camera zooms in, we get a nice view of one of Asterixs wedge spikes, impaled on Back to Rocks right middle wheel. The house robot, after a brief pause, plunges straight in, landing on top of Back to Rock!

Eliminator 3
Mobile Failure vs. Triple Big Mac
Representing the competitors is a new machine called Mobile Failure, entered by newbie vapourboteer Tracy Farber. It may not have a team to be on, but its just as dangerous independent. :proud: A rack-and-pinion axe coupled with a box-wedge shape and Lynch motor power gives a wham and whack attitude. The ground clearance is decent but a limited CO2 supply might have this newbie living up to its name. :proud:
Representing the Team Zlayerz house robots is Triple Big Mac. Its essentially Typhoon 2 with hammers. Big hammers. And it spins at 1500rpm, dealing 176kJ of energy per blow! ITs also quite heavily armoured...and those things are about all its got going for it. Its slow, sluggish, and has no ability to self-right. Id pay 50 pence just to watch this thing get eaten up in the warzone. :proud:

The very eager Mobile Failure bores straight on the spinning dervish that is Triple Big Mac, who just manages to avoid the first charge. Mobile Failure careens straight into the wall, Tracy gritting her teeth as her newbie skills are in full form, and this has bought the spinning house robot the time needed to get up to full speed, and he travels over towards Mobile Failure instead of running away. The newbie turns around, Tracy trying to get that wedge pointed at Triple Big Mac, as the house robot nears. Finally, its a direct line towards the spinner and Mobile Failure guns it, whether bravery or foolishness, it slams straight into the spinning hammers of its enemy!
CRASH!!!
Was it wise? Maybe not, as Mobile Failure is knocked away good n proper by that blow, the front wedge very much dented and very much unable to take blows like that for very long! Triple Big Mac has hardly moved from the collision, the 178kg keeping him almost rooted to the spot as it spins up again. Mobile Failure once again attempts to line up the wedge with the hammers, by which time the housie once again has managed to rotate its hammers to full RPM, and again unafraid veers towards its prey. Mobile Failure canters around the arena instead of hitting Triple Big Mac head-on, dodging around the arena saws and sitting on the other side of them. Tracy may be new, but she seems tactical. However, Triple Big Mac is not fooled by this act of shrewdness...or cowardice, to him, and moves away from the arena saws and around them trying to get a hit in. Mobile Failure moves backwards, almost to the flame pit, and turns around. Much too sharply, as its now facing the arena wall. Tracy curses her lack of driving skills at this stage as the house robot closes in, and Mobile Failure just manages to get the wedge pointed at her opponent, who meets her without question!
CRASH!!!
That does not look good at all, and seemingly futile on Mobile Failures part as its blown away once more, and that wedge is very badly dented and slightly gashed now as it tries to steer towards its opponent, and finds that Triple Big Mac has actually been sent away, and right onto the arena saws, which pop up hungrily and BZZT! They slice away at the underside of the big house robot! Lined-up, Mobile Failure guns towards its stunned opponent and finally rams it head-on without being bludgeoned by the spinning hammers, quite the opposite as they are NOT spinning, to put it bluntly. WHACK! The axe of Mobile Failure finally comes down and hits Triple Big Mac, but only glancing off the Hardox and down the side. However, Triple Big Mac is panicked, as the axe has caught the cage and it tries to twist away, but no go! Tracy seems to have realized this as well, and now drags Triple Big Mac towards the arena saws again, which is quite easy seeing as they are nearby. BZZT! Another shower of sparks litters the underside of the spinner, and BZZT! another!
Mobile Failure seems quite content to leave him pinned there and finally we get some major tire separating as a large piece of rubber and wheel is ejected from the underside of Triple Big Mac! Tracy backs her machine off, seeing the house robots mobility tattered, and goes for the pit release button...missing it by a few inches. :proud: A facepalm to the head Tracy gives herself, but Triple Big Mac cant seem to move away from the arena saws which (BZZT!) continue to slice away at the bottom armour! Finally Mobile Failure is able to release the pit, and turning around goes for the Triple Big Mac which is having major problems getting away from the middle of the arena, when all of a sudden, a very tattered wedge slams into it, moving it away from the saws...BZZT! And Mobile Failure takes a hit as well! However, no damage seems to have been done, and the house robot is pushed towards the nearby brink! Its no use, for however much Triple Big Mac struggles, the pit nears, and finally the spinner is dumped into the hole...joined immediately afterward by Mobile Failure. :proud: Tracy smirks and shrugs, laughing in her turn.

Eliminator 4
Exodus vs. Triple Whamlet
Representing the competitors and Team Welsh Warlords is Exodus, entered by Liam Eliot. Its a...very confusing machine. It has a very basic shape, oddly enough, but has interchangeable parts for almost very aspect of its being...except armour and power. The armouring is 3.25mm Hardox and 5mm for the track coverings, and its S28-400 MagMotor powered. It has a 30 degree wedge, Biohazard-styled arm powered by pneumatics, a rounded rear extension, and track coverings for this fight. A Swiss Army Knife of a robot if I ever saw one, but it could make an exodus from the warzone due to its rather questionable manoeuvrability. :proud:
Representing the Team Zlayerz house robots is Triple Whamlet, a multi-terror with its 3 entirely independent axes, extremely powerful and can hack at will. It has a 4mm Hardox monocoque and a 9mm Hardox plow at the front which helps to get under victims, and it has decent pushing power, but its ground clearance at the sides and rear can be exploited and eventually, all three axe will drop from lack of CO2, meaning Triple Whamlet could take three, or five, for the rest of the match. :proud:

ACTIVATE!
Exodus trudges forward immediately at the call of Activate, but thats not what its opponent is doing! Its making a go towards the sides of Exodus, and due to Exodus manoeuvrability, it manages to get there; though the skirts defeat the plow, the axes come down and WHACK up a storm on the top of Exodus like woodpeckers with iron beaks! :proud: Liam gets his machine away, but not without taking a brutal pounding in the process; the barbs are bent, the coverings and top armour dented moderately. Triple Whamlet has another go, but this time Exodus turns fast enough, and the arm gets under Triple Whamlets plow! Hurriedly, Liam takes him to the wall, but the axes fire again, not only striking the top of Exodus but also, due to the positioning that they are being fired, bounce Triple Whamlet up off and onto the flipper again! Seeing this, Liam immediately hits the flipper button, and Exodus just manages to flick Triple Whamlets underbelly and send it across the arena, as it lands inside the arena, inverted.
Exodus rushes forward again, eager for another juicy flip, as Triple Whamlet self-rights quickly, but not quickly enough as the arm of Exodus sneaks under the side of the house robot and pushes him against the wall! The arm fires, but unfortunately not underneath Triple Whamlets center of gravity as it is thrown along the length of the arena wall before landing inside the arena on its wheels. Exodus turns once more, retracting the arm, but the house robot is in a right state after that, and takes to the tactic of sneaking towards Exodus sides again. Exodus cant get away in time, but it drives forward, and Triple Whamlet only manages to slide under the rear of the side before brushing it aside. Both spin around, but its Triple Whamlet who gets the better of its prey and roars in on the exposed side! Exodus drives forwards again, hoping to repel him like just before, but no dice this time! Thankfully, the skirt still cheats the plow of a successful breach, but the axes again pummel Exodus. Exodus makes off again, this time towards the pit release, but Triple Whamlet wont be letting Exodus off easy this time and follows on its...rear end. :proud:
Liams robot slams into the pit release button, but Triple Whamlet comes in from behind, and this time the skirt at the rear cant deal with the scoop; its breached completely, and Exodus is thrown up onto the plow! Triple Whamlet, content with his catch, proceeds to happily axe the robot into submission. The unending WHACKs resound throughout the arena, as Exodus Hardox armouring gets badly dented and is starting to reveal holes. The track coverings appear far more undamaged than the top armour, but the pummeling continues as Exodus fires the arm in an attempt to escape from the house robot and the pit release button on which its pinned; it throws itself onto Triple Whamlets axes, which throw him over and onto his back. Triple Whamlet now proceeds to axe the underbelly as Exodus tries to self-right - but the house robot has a new plan; all three axes slam into Exodus and hold him onto his back as Triple Whamlet scoops him onto the plow; it tries again to self-right but no go; Trple Whamlet pushes, and pushes, and pushes right towards the pit, and finally, inexorably, Exodus falls down into darkness.

Exodus journey ends with the beginning of another - back home. :proud:

Stiltskin vs. Renegade
Representing the competitors and Team Chevron is Stiltskin, entered by Joey McConnell. Its your common variety wedge...with sloped sides and a reverse wedge at the rear. Its another tracked machine, and it has a very interesting composition of armourings: a 4mm Hardox monocoque protecting the innards with some titanium and more Hardox, and its outer armour is 7mm polycarb with ome Hardox reinforcing at the front. Its weapon: a powerful front-hinged flipper. Wont be so manoeurvable, but it can flip, and flip hard. :proud:
Representing the Team Zlayerz house robots is Renegade, a newcomer to the DarkZlayers. Its C40-300 Magmotor powered and has good wepons synergy: a pair of claws that can crush and lift, and a heavily powerful axe. However invertible, it cant use the axe upside down, unless to right itself. And though its armoured in 5mm Hardox and 3.2mm of that on the belly, crushers could sink past that...if they can get high and far enough to reach the top-exposed tires. Renegade could well be assassinated. :proud:

And so both robots come flying out of their spots. Well not really. If you had seen that jet duel earlier on OLN, then maybe that would be true. But lets get back to the battle. :proud: Renegade is the more agile and quickly gets to Stiltskins side, but finds the wedges side a tad hard to grip and simply gives it a whacks with the axe, the polycarbonate buckling but backed up by the Hardox. Stiltskin quickly responds to this by turning to Renegades own side and tossing it over, the 215kg of DarkZlayerz pride quickly gliding away afterward. Stiltskin is on the prowl after him, and Renegade makes the mistake of trying to self-right on the run. Over it goes, but Stiltskin catches up immediately and with another menacing flip, gets Renegade right back onto its...back! :proud: Renegade seems to prefer using its axe, its trying to self-right again but that gives Stiltskin another opportunity to get the wedge in! Renegade is flung against the arena wall, but as Stiltskin comes in for the OOTA, the axe fires again, sending Renegade off the wedge and on the back of Stlitskins wedge! Joey backs his machine up, observing the wheels of Renegade that are not touching the ground, and sends it over the arena saws! BZZT! The armour is sliced, but Renegade is fine and that blow has freed Renegade off the wedge!
Stiltskin turns around as Renegade plows into the front side, Joey unable to get around quickly enough to attack, and the claws slide under the wedge and lift it up! Down comes the axe onto the flipper with an echoing WHACK, and surely something must have done to the flipper from such a heavy blow, but it appears not. And luckily for Joey, as it had not fully grappled Stiltskin yet and the blow sent Stiltskin off the wedge and directly in front of Renegade, its claws not tightly closed! With horror it tries to open them again, but the moment does not elude Joey and Stiltskin gets straight under the front of Renegade and tosses it straight over! It pushes Renegade towards the wall and tosses it, but unable to stack it as the axe simply pushes it away from the wall. Joey however is determined to try for an OOTA and flips again, and Renegade barely counts his blessings as he teeters on the railing, and falls right back in, Joey cursing his luck. And now Renegade is away. Stiltskin follows, not put off in the slightest, but Renegade turns around and comes back at the front. Stiltskin spins away from the charge, but one of the claws catches him and starts to squeeze! WHACK! Another blow from the axe, and the polycarbs not looking too hot right now! Joey manages to get away by simply reversing, but Renegade hadnt lifted the claw up and draws nearer as Stiltskin retreats back, but unfortunately for the house robot, the claw does not get under Stlitskin as planned but the flipper gets under the claw, and this time Stiltskin takes Renegade all the way to the wall, and finally, the flipper beats the wall height; Renegade soars and plunges onto the camera tracks.

Renegade ran, he ran so far awa-a-ay, but he could never get away. :proud:

Flipping Hell vs. Taki III
Representing the competitors and Team Hell is Flipping Hell, entered by David Weston. It€™s a steep wedge shape with an elongated tail, and a 4-bar flipper. It€™s mega powerful, capable of sending a bot its own size 20 feet up and 15 feet across! Its drivetrain is to that of Razer€™s and it has a 15mph average speed. That said, it€™s aluminium-steel armour isn€™t the best, and with a limited CO2 capacity, Flipping Hell could take the trip to Hades in one fell flip. :proud:
Representing the Team Zlayerz house robots is Taki III, a ninja with a heart€¦made of cold metal. She has a front lifting device capable to hoisting 400kg, and a rear spinning blade that can dish about 75kJ per hit, and can spin up quickly. is also a great pusher too with LEM200s for driive motors, but like her opponent, she€™s clad in aluminium armour, and her speed might make her a tad hard to control. Will Taki turn crouching tiger, hidden dragon? :proud:

It€™s Flipping Hell that takes the initiative and heads out first, as Taki III goes straight out for the ram a second afterwards. The two machines meet, and it€™s Taki who gains the lower ground, and the advantage as Flipping Hell goes flying onto the wedge, and Taki goes flying towards the wall! Dave tries to ignore the sickening CRUNCH against the arena wall as Taki buries Flipping Hell into it! The flipper bounces off the wall, slightly disoriented by the slam, but it has no time to recover because Taki is back on the attack quite swiftly! The wedge slides underneath Flipping Hell once more, and this time it€™s the side of Flipping Hell that gets mashed against the arena wall as Taki takes him to it! Dave tries to regain control as Taki spins around for another attack, and Flipping Hell moves away from the charge as it is broken when Taki speeds by. The ninja wheels around, but Flipping Hell had taken advantage of Taki€™s own lack of control and slipped to the side! Before it can flip, however, Taki speeds off the flipper and Dave spares himself some CO2 and some humiliation by barely touching the button, thus Flipping Hell€™s weaponry stays unactive.
Taki however isn€™t keen on having a completely one-sided fight and drives straight at Flipping Hell€™s flipper again. They both meet, but again Taki€™s front end defeats Flipping Hell€™s, and the ninja mashes Flipping Hell right up against the wall again, the Weston bot thrown over Taki and landing upside-down! Taki spins around as Flipping Hell quickly self-rights, the two-stage self-righting completely fooling Taki as she speeds under Flippping Hell, who lands right behind her and turns around. Before Taki can do the like, he€™s back at her side again, and this time Taki€™s wheels have indeed left the ground, and the front flipper of Flipping Hell€™s, and now that said flipper has its time to shine as Flipping Hell takes Taki to the arena wall, a dose of her own medicine maybe, but at the last second the flipping activates. Taki is propelled right up into the air, smashes into the screening beyond the arena, coming back down onto the arena railing and coming to a dead halt right on the camera tracks!

The last tournament€™s runner-up proves to be a real dud this time around! Taki III fades back into the shadows!

Glasgow Kiss vs. Damocles
Representing the competitors and Team Funky Junkie is Glasgow Kiss, entered by Scott Anderson. It€™s a race-car inspired bot, because that€™s what it€™s shaped like. :proud: It also has a very powerful axe in its arsenal and its 4WD is powered by 2 S28-400 MagMotors. The 5mm titanium is decent, but the ground clearance might have this robot kissing the floor. It is fast though, so watch out.
Representing the Team Zlayerz house robots is Damocles, a rather new addition to the team. It has 2WD, is sluggish and has a high ground clearance. €¦you thought that was it? :proud: €˜M afraid to inform that this box-shape also has 4 drums, on each side, that can easily dish out over 100kJ per hit! And it€™s invertible! The exterior armour is tough too€¦the corners might be vulnerable, though€¦

And indeed the fastest machine to start off is Glasgow Kiss as he rockets across the arena, but already the frontal drum has spun-up (as have the other three) to about half their maximum speed and Scott isn€™t deterred in the slightest! Could this benefit anyone other than Damocles?
CRASH!
Apparently so, because Glasgow Kiss hasn€™t been flung back at all by that collision! And the reason why is that front shape! The wedge simply got under Damocles€™ drum much too far, and at that point Damocles could not send Glasgow back because of the drum hitting the wedge, so now€¦it€™s Glasgow Kiss with the advantage as he€™s under Damocles, both the house robots€™ wheels are off the ground, and now down comes the axe! Ah€¦oops. The shaft of the axe had to hit that damned drum, didn€™t it, but Glasgow Kiss is pushing the house robot, indeed almost carrying it towards the wall! And the rear drum has slowed down, it being pushed towards and into the floor by the earlier initial charge didn€™t really benefit it at all, and OOF. Glasgow Kiss shunts the 350kg house robot into the wall, and now the big house robot is in major peril, Scott€™s face is quite happy as he slowly gets his bot over to the pit release button, and bumps it. The pit is opened€¦and a very short and surprising match comes to an end as Glasgow Kiss dodges the arena saws and sends Damocles down the pit!

Requiem R-evolution vs. Ancalagon the Black
Representing the competitors and Team Britespark is Requiem R-evolution, entered by Daniel Stickler. It€™s a 150kg shuffler, propelled by strong motors, batteries€¦and camshafts :proud: and has some nasty weaponry. There are two lifting arms hinged on the top, which run along the sides and can lift up quite a bit, powered by some S28-400 MagMotors. But it€™s the thing between the arms you€™ve gotta watch out for: the spinning egg-beater! Crafted much like its cousin, Dervish, the 2cm Hardox brick can send some opponents flying! However, it€™s not going to turn well€¦and though there are some Hardox panels, much of the armour is aluminium. Is this Requiem€™s final bow? :proud:
Representing the Team Zlayerz house robots is Ancalagon the Black, the biggest and baddest of the housies by far! At 800kg, hardly anything is budging this beast, and I wouldn€™t disregard his pushing power either, which includes LEM200s and 6WD! Tough armour and tough chassis make the dragon of Angband quite indestructible, and he is quite a Swiss Army Knife when it comes to weaponry: two giant vertical disks flank the crushing jaw in the middle. The said jaw can also expel flames, and he€™s not such a slouch as people think he might be at 10mph. This bad boy€™s weakness is that he has no srimech, but it€™s hard to flip him€¦though it has been done before. Will Ancalagon fall shrieking from the sky? :proud:

Thus begins the last Round 1 battle. Requiem shuffles towards the giant 800kg house robot, who immediately begins to rev up its spinning disks, and inclines the top jaw. Flames burst out, and Daniel isn€™t quite that confident, but he has to try. Requiem gets closer to Ancalagon, when suddenly the dragon takes matters into his own hands€¦err, claws :proud: and charges towards Requiem! Not quite what Daniel expected€¦
CRASH!!!
And he should have expected that when the charge occurred! The left-side vertical disk catches the beater of Requiem and sends the poor 150kg box flying across the arena, but amazingly Ancalagon is bumped back a foot as well! Requiem lands on its back, and starts to self-right, when Ancalagon gets back into the fray, and slams into Requiem€™s side with the other disc!
CRASH!!!
And it€™s a perfect 360! Requiem bumps back onto its camshafts, a Hardox panel ripped away instantly revealing more of the aluminium behind it, and scuttles away before Ancalagon can attack again. Now Daniel sees that the beater€¦is working still, and mops his brow, but what can he do€¦Ancalagon is hunting Requiem across the arena€¦and gets hit by the arena saws. BZZT! Stupid dragon. Requiem turns and faces Ancalagon as the house robot recovers from that slightly humiliating experience, and scuttles on its camshafts again towards the house robot, but goes on an angle as Ancalagon charges by. Missing its charge, Ancalagon turns only to find the lifting arms of Requiem under it! And it lifts€¦itself onto its front end! :proud: Aha€¦too heavy for you, mate. :proud: He stops the lifting arms, and as Ancalagon tries to turn and attack, he attempts to push Ancalagon towards the arena saws. Uh€¦no dice. :proud: Ancalagon only goes about 3/4ths of an inch before he finally gets around to Requiem€™s side and smashes it again!
CRASH!!!
The sparks fly, panels fly, and Requiem flies into the air, having lost a whole chunk of aluminium panel off the previously knocked side! It lands back on its camshafts, but it hardly has time to even register its lost aluminium panel before Ancalagon stuffs its other flywheel into Requiem€™s same side!
CRASH!!!
And there goes a LEM200 motor€¦it€™s safe to say that Ancalagon has won this. The whole side is gone, a motor is gone, and the rest of internals are open for business. And Ancalagon plans to make that business his! The Watcher backs all the way across the arena into the pit release button as Ancalagon spins its discs up again and strikes poor Requiem once more!
CRASH!!!
The top comes flying off! :proud: Oh dear oh dear€¦and there€™s another hit, but rather a mangled CRUNCH rather than a CRASH, as part of the camshaft is ripped straight away, as does some batteries€¦and now The Watcher rams the wrecked mess, and shoves it away from the wrath of the house robot€¦and mercifully dumps it into the pit, as Ancalagon roars out its fire in victory.

Requiem R-evolution€™s revelation is that it just can€™t make it past Round 1! :proud:

All the competitors and all the house robots will enter the arena at once; competitors vs. house bots, and once the house robots are defeated, then CEASE is called. The number of robots that remain go on to the next round, be it Semis or Finals, or get the crown if one robot remains. :proud: If the house robots win, you all suck. :proud:

Tactics: Conserve my flips unless I am flipping something I know cannot self right, or if I am likely to get the opponents out of the arena. Otherwise, drive around and flip the housies while retaining a certain amount of common sense :proud:

Its Ge5orce that gets off to the quickest start, as the epic rebellion bout begins, but Asterix counters with a ram of his own! Both house robot and competitor meet in the square middle of the arena, and its Asterix who gains the upper hand, and rams Ge5orce straight into Mobile Failure. Flipping Hell doesnt like this one bit and activates next, going into Asterixs side and tossing it across the arena, thus getting the other house robots quick to anger and they charge. Mobile Failure, Glasgow Kiss, and Stiltskin move off and they come to blows instantly!
Ancalagon however proves to the biggest nut to crack from the get-go, smashing into Stiltskins side with one of the discs and severely damaging it, though not ripping it off. Ge5orce is after Asterix, who turns and has running start again at the flipper, only to be blocked by Mobile Failure, who angrily smacks into the side, throwing the rammer off-course, and applies a nice THWACK to the top of Asterixs punching a clean hole through it! Glasgow Kiss joins in and together Tracy and Scott push the Gaul robot into the wall and hack it mercilessly...but Flipping Hell seems to be in a hack of trouble itself, as Triple Whamlet has wedged it with the plow and began smacking it! Not for long, though, as Ge5orce comes flying in from the side and tosses Triple Whamlet over...and nearly tips Flipping Hell over in the process! However its Ancalagon again who cuts a path through the robots, opening its maw and grabbing Ge5orces wheel hub, rendering it completely helpless as it fires the flipper in dismay and fear, but Ancalagons grip is too strong. Glasgow Kiss however is detached itself from Mobile Failures side and slams into Ancalagons side, futilely hacking away but barely even scratching the black paint. Ancalagon brushes him aside, only to get rammed by Mobile Failure who seems to have stacked Asterix on its side...it really doesnt matter though seeing as Asterixs top armour probably does not exist any more. :proud: Triple Whamlet, having righted itself, takes a break from hammering Flipping Hell and goes to tip over Asterix...only to find Stiltskin at its own side, tossing it over! Flipping Hell rejoices in its freedom, though its top armour is damaged almost as considerable as Asterixs, and rams into Triple Whamlet just as it rights itself, and flings it over the wall!
As The Watcher goes over to count Asterix out of the battle, Flipping Hell and Stiltskin rejoin Mobile Failure and Glasgow Kiss on the attack on Ancalagon the Black, who still has Ge5orce in its grasp. Flipping Hell rams the front of Ancalagon, but the house robot continues to shove him away; and Stiltskin attacks the rear, trying to lift Ancalagon up but only tossing itself backward. Ancalagon finally releases Ge5orce...and it seems that AJs luck as run out, as his robot is immobile. Wheels dead, flipper dead, dread dead, as The Watcher goes to count it out, having finished off Asterix.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!
But Flipping Hell has followed Ancalagon forwards, and somehow has managed to get under the lower jaw, and with a great heave manages to get under the middle! David grinds the motors, as 800kg of house robot crunch against his flipper, but Stiltskin gets back in, this time at the side, right beside Glasgow Kiss, and Mobile Failure backs off. Ancalagon cant seem to get out of this predicament, the 6WD unable to get a grip on anything, as Tracy goes for the pit release...but will Ancalagon even fit in the pit? Flipping Hell and the other two robots push the fatty across the arena, as Tracy backs her robot away, and slowly but surely, the house robot goes onto the pit...well what do you know? He doesnt fit! :proud:
Seeing this, Flipping Hell activates the flipper under Ancalagon, and Joey seeing this activates Stiltskins...which is just enough to send Ancalagon over onto his back...on top of the pit. :proud: How very humiliating. :proud: The Watcher shakes its head and counts it out as Joey and Tracy clap AJ on the back, and Dave and Scott high-five.
CEASE!
Ge5orce is out, but the sacrifice was not in vain, as all the house robots are defeated! :proud:
Mobile Failure, Stiltskin, Flipping Hell and Glasgow Kiss advance to Round 3!

Right, here come the tactics...
I should have more pushing ability than the Failure - we both have more or less the same drive, but I have tracks for grippiness, and if it comes down to pushing and shoving I should have the edge. I intend to make sure that it doesnt come down to pushing and shoving though, get underneath anywhere I can (possibly the unskirted back but Ill take what I can get) and flip it around and preferably OOTA, while at the same time using common sense with regards to not staying near CPZs and arena hazards, or driving onto descending pits, etc. :proud:
