track events, bike race things, rowing r good to watch
ill watch any but not the horse riding n boring 1s like that lol

The Olymipics
We dont have a tv. nuff said.

The Olymipics
I would normaly watch some of the sports, but as what should be a great and certainly non political sporting event has been hijacked by a represive communist dictatorship in a synical attempt to improve their virtualy non existant international credibility, I for one have far better things to do!

Like building a very pimped-up looking robot Geoff? (in reference to your profile pic :))
Is that a new version of Phoenix by any chance? Its dazzling to say the least, whatever it is :P
Alex, instead of going to London 2012 to watch the swimming, just work really really hard and compete in the swimming instead :proud:

I love the Olympics and went to China in 1995 (6 years after the horrific crackdown in Tiannamen Square and other places). I cant see the difference between their governments behaviour to that of Nazi Germany in 1936, the UK in 1948, the Soviets in 1980, South Korea 1984 the Americans in 1996 - they wont be the last.
Ah yes London 2012. You think that DPRC is bad just wait till the UK authorites start using that as an excuse to lock down the population in the name of national security.

cycling is always good,we usually get a few medals
also like curling, played it a couple of times in
Scotland:proud:, not many people know about it though, and most of those who do think its boring  (my best friend for example)
diving is also quite good, and i have high hopes for our youngest olimpion,i guess being a inter-school swimmer draws you to other water sports.

I read somewhere it was going to last 3 hours.
No telley, no being forced to watch the gruelling hours. Lucky little me.:proud:
But I would have been interested in watching the historical displays. Will be perusing the pictures tomorrow on the internet.

Just pplayed the official licenced game and I have to say that it is really good for a licence game, worth the price tag especially with online and 4 player LAN. Still dont understand the judo though and the diving with two counters is very difficult.

Im a swimmer too.
Bring it on 2012 :proud: (if Im reeaaaaaallly lucky, like maybe if everyone better than me gets struck by lightining or something )
And being welsh I must say good luck to David Davies, who is going for gold in 1500m freestyle and open water

We went to our favourite Chinese restaurant yesterday and all the waiters and cooks (its a wok restaurant where you choose the ingredients and they prepare it for you on the spot) were asking us: Have you seen the Olympics ? Have you seen the Opening ?
And couldnt believe that we dont have a tv.
But then, we tried to explain to them that China has other interesting things and that we like to read about them a lot. Our favourite cook even asked me if I had Asian roots because of my interest in China, and was surprised I had not. He said I did look like I had though.
*giggle* My cousins used to think my dad was Chinese because he had small eyes and talked funny. Of course he talked funny: they are Flemish and he is Dutch.
Oh well, the piccies of the Opening were beautiful. Dont say Im not interested in the Olympics. Im just not that interested in sports.
And we are sooooo happy without that flickering box in the living room...
