Since I was bored, and I was curious, after Froggys comment about me being one of the most travelled roboteers around, I worked out how far Ive travelled in the past year (2007):

Swindon - 36.8 miles
BMW - 247.2 miles
Wigan - 320 Miles
AWS 22 - 85 miles
Magna - 300.4 miles
Colchester - 275 miles
Burgess Hill - 228 miles
Mold - 350 miles
RR Ayelsbury - 82 miles
RR Northampton - 120 miles
RR Guildford - 160.2 Miles
Space Center - 154.6
RL Exeter - 275.4 Miles
UK HW champs + Hemel Hempstead
190.8 miles Oxford to Phwelli, 234.8miles Phwelli to HH, 68.8 miles HH to Oxford) = 494.4 Miles!
RR Doncaster - 312 miles
RR Portsmouth - 204.4 Miles
AWS 24 (Ickenham) - 115 Mile
Robochallenge ThinkTank - 121.6 miles

= 3881.6 Miles

Its obvious Ill go anywhere for an event, but how far would you go for one ?

rr - stoke on trent - 41.25 miles
rr - oldham - 92.35 miles
rr - barnsley - 93.03 miles

724.4 miles (there and back)

as you can tell i dont like driving far to events :P

Wow Dave, thats pretty far!

Makes our two/three times a year trip down from Scotland seem like a quick five minute jaunt in comparison :)

Just thinking about it actually, I dont think anyone can trump Jonno this year in terms of miles racked up. Singapore and Doha just take the biscuit! :)

i was just gonna say i can beat you in 1 event jonno would win hands down

Yeah, Jonno would go over me easily, but for those of us not jet-setting to Doha and Singapore...I think just under 4000 miles is a lot for a guy on public transport the entire year

Here is how far we have travelled

Last year we travelled 2732 miles to events

this year so far we have travelled 1726 miles

so thats a total of 4458 miles

Ive added it up, with the events Ive done so far this year is 2142.8 Miles, but that does include my trip to Eindhoven for AWS 25

Harvey haddon stadium - about 10 miles haha

Furthest Ive been is Stoke on Trent, around 60 miles. Although thats more on the train because the route is weird:lame:

Just worked out the mileage for 2008 so far using the sat nav ( so probably a few miles out)

Barnsley 240 miles
Leicester 310 miles ( turned back 30 mins from venue)
Colchester 950 miles (stayed in Kent)
Oldham 200 miles
Burgess Hill 785 miles (stayed in Kent)
Stoke 280 miles
Aylesbury 450 miles
Derby 350 miles

Running total 3565 miles

Blimey! Youve done nearly as many miles as I did during the whole of last year in the space of 6 months! Thats some going !

Where you staying with relatives in Kent ? And how come you had to turn back 30 mins from Leicester ?

when we go down south we stay with my parents near Sevenoaks, and we turned back 30 mins from Leicester when Alex threw up (he wasnt at all well)turned round and drove 3 hours back home again.oh the glamour of being a roboteer

nah...its 10:30pm im at the airport.... dont fly until 12:30am so just killing time.... ive eaten noodles, ive had a subway, ive had a burger king.... ive had 2 beers....every time i see a computer i log on and search random websites.... just done my dutie free shopping.

Got here far too early, but needed to make sure i didnt have any problems with my luggage with carrying a robot, tx, power supply and charger, someother bits, and my clothes!!!

My time atheathrow was anight mare but i wont bore people.....nearly missed the flight !! damn queues !!! so got here early.

im sooooooo damn bored now !!! think ill go eat something else !!!

Last night i was up until 4am, well last night and all that .... too many beers....dont remember getting to my hotel.... but i think i called a few people..so going to have a nice phone bill!! suffering today with a major headache.
