17th/18th May 2008 - Robots Live - Leicester Space Centre

As you are probably aware we are running the combat side of the €˜Rise Of The Robots€™ event at Leicester Space Centre. We€™re going to be running a fun weekend for the featherweights (small competition, football etc), with heavyweight demos in between, in a scaled down version of the arena. So we€™re looking for featherweight teams and Heavyweights for display (we may require some for demos, we€™ll let you know if so). Also Noel Sharkey has been booked to attend.


Details are still being sorted (camping, show times etc), we€™ll let you know ASAP.

dunno, but for the feathers there is DB5, Tuff Luck2, Push n shove, whirlpool + co, G3 and Alpha, few more probs those are just the ones i know of.

Click on Local News, then Lastest News Bulletin then East or West (deosnt seem to matter) then the Central News bulletin for today. Its about 12 minutes into it

Thanks to all the roboteers who attended the Space Centre show, they were very impressed with the show we put on.

The event was a great success with thousands of people watching the robots in action, and raising lots of money for charity!

The event also saw the launch of the Robots Live DVD, being played across four 10FT screens.
