22nd November 2008 Roaming Robots Maidstone Leisure Centre

The final of the Tour€¦. The final event of 2008 and we will crown our 2008 Winter Tour Champion. Returning to the Maidstone leisure centre after the success of 2007 and which was our first visit, the venue is perfectly suited to host the final of the tour.

Will Iron Awe 5 be able to become the first team to ever win the title back to back, or will one of the new comers show them how it should be done, only time will tell.

Tickets are on sale and roboteers can sign up early 2008 !

Update - Sign Ups Now Live for Maidstone - 05/09/08

Sign ups are now live if you wish to sign up now to let us know you€™re coming for White Board Fights. This is of course the Winter Tour Grand Finals so the top 10 or 12 Heavy Weights and Feather Weights will be invited to the finals at Maidstone but you can still sign up to take part in white board battles.

Please make sure you sign up all robots you wish to bring to the events.

i think any over seas roboteers should have a bye realy if they are willing to come

Maybe if more than one over seas robot comes to Maidstone final, have a melee and best over-seas robot goes through? i dunno? Just throwing ideas in the air?

In the unlikely event more than one heavy attends from the continent, it would be Obsidian vs TAN probably.

Im OK with whiteboards only, I will have my chance next year. :)

i will not be going to maidstone because of work and because jason is through to the final he cant drive envy. he can do the weapon but i need a driver for the event. if anyone is going and is not in the competition and think they can steer envy to victory then please let me know. it is a tall order i know but better envy have some sort of shot than not at all. offers on here please :)

My parents have to go to a kids Ju-Jitsh grading!
If i was going, i would be more than happy to drive envy, lol!
Next event for me will be Colchester 09.

Seeing as Maelstrom didnt get through, I am available to drive Envy if thats ok with you.

Alex has offered but Will has more experience, but if Envy is to fight in any whiteboards he would like you to consider him please.
It is his birthday soon so he will have much moolah in his wallet to offer as bribes, buy beer or pay for any damage...:mrgreen:

thanks for the offers guys i have managed to get the services of Mr Moulds. he will be the driver at maidstone. he has experience and is the 2006 uk champ and i am sure will do a good job.

Alex and Will i will let you have a spin of envy in 2009 at a none comp event or white board.

My mum and dad have asked if my uncle and aunt want to take my cousins, because Jonno had a mix up with tickets.
If Hunter is working by then or if my wooden robot that i have planned is done, then ill ask if i can come along for white-boards (thats if my aunts taking my cousins!)
If not then ill watch the event on the RR webcam.

depends how many fights u get in at an event

like at a 1 day event where i may only get 2 fights a show and 1 of them could be competition id like to drive mine in the fights as thats what iv gone for but at an event like fairford i would let others drive it sometimes as you can get prob 10 fights in a day if you wanted to

i havent heard about any venues or dates but heard some have been put in the programs at the events but i havent seen one

i think fairford will be on and i look forward to it as its always a good 1!
