One of our Longest running events, we have been invited for the fifth year, yes this will be 5 years!!! Once again we will setup over the fountains in the town centre of Aylesbury.
Our Demo arena will once again be used, popular as ever with it being a modular smaller version of our main arena including the pit, the flipper and the polycarb screens for safety.

Heavy weights, and Feather weights will fight it out throughout the day. Hopefully 2008 will prove luckier with the weather as previously it rained throughout the whole day and we all got extremely wet !!! This wasn€™t to stop it being a popular event with crowds throughout the whole event€¦. Even in the rain !!!

i think you better invest in some btter marques ones which dont collect water then leak LOL

please have no rain ! lol

The rain actually killed our Heavyweight last year...lol. Might have to waterproof everything just in case!

im thinking of taking out a new range of merchandise just for this event.... Roaming Robots Umbrellas !! :)

Just to let you know sign ups went live on the Roaming Robots Roboteers System last week. So roboteers can log in and sign up to this event online if they havnt done so already.

Are Antweights allowed to attend like last year ? We will have a few more ants this time, including Shane Lale, now he has Baby Tilly

hopefully its not raining this year - weather at the moment is rubbish so i guess it will be - atleast theres lots of shops to spend lots of money in

ok, so the sunshine is booked, and already Aylesbury are getting ready for us.

This year we are going to try a new format, something we tried while out in Doha we we know will be popular.

Ill be emailing the attending teams mid week with info.

Anyone got a spare speed controller for a feather they can take to Aylesbury. happy to buy it or replaceif damaged etc etc.

Its a 24v one and I just found out the sabertooth 2 x 10A one is too small. (Dead impressive blue smoke though!!)

Cracking event guys, Thanks for coming,

Aylesbury were very impressed.

A nice mixture of heavyweight and featherweight fights throughout the event.

Plus Major Damage on display catching some sun rays, I need to buy him some shades.

And then of course because of the weather being so hot, the innevitable happened.... a water fight.

Thanks mr bell for bucket of water while im driving a robot... very refreshing :)

Well put the same date in your diary for next year, as weve been booked once gain for our 6th time running.

Im must say I was a bit disapointed with Aylesbury this year. Not the weather, but the robots, the fact that there were not many there, and not much in the way of fights (I know they were Staged but still.

Also, No mention of ants ?

The heat played havoc with my ants :P Made hot glue melt, my grip on Baby Hell melted off, and Satanix because too hot to handle

David, it does say on the RR website which robots were going, so if you went to see lots of robots you should have looked on the site beforehand?

well, its only ever been a small event, if we had 20 heavyweights turn up, then we wouldnt fit it all in, we are only working from 11 until 3 afterall!!

This event is historically a chance for the feather weights to enjoy some arena time rather than letting the heavyweights take the limelight all of the time !!

Its a shame that Turbulence, and Hydra broke, but the rest had fun never the less !! This is one of my favourite events as it is relaxed, and I get a chance to chill out, drive some robots, and actually talk to people !!

Ill be sorting out pictures today to send to stu for the site.

Fair enough :) Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed it, and as you say, a shame Hydra and Turb broke

there just seemed a lot less than last year, thats all, which I dont get because it was tipping down and we had loads, and it gets sunny and on-one wants to know :P

they do want to know mate i wanted to go but envy needs attention more so i decided not to go. others mabee are in the same boat getting their robots ready for the uk champs.

True. Ka-Pow! is in the middle of a pneumatics refit for the Champs. Woody did of course take Ka-Putt, which is starting to look good, and I eventually turned up with Throk! which isnt, but was fun to potter about with anyway.
