Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
:proud: Here you go everyone - an early Christmas present!
Can I just point out, this is ALREADY written. I promise you lot, Series 3 will be a real series, but for this could you just post tactics )
EYE OF THE ROBOT - SERIES 2
This is the start of a new era of fictional roboteering. Inspired by the FightingRobots fan fiction forum, I€™ve made a new tournament - Eye of the Robot (E.O.T.R). This is a great task for me to learn to write longer things, and put more effort into what I do, and not rush it.
This was an awesome achievement for me, and after beating robots to the title, Steven McGregor took the title with Killotine: EVO. Killotine intends to keep the crown, but there are 95 other robots who want to take it off him.
Here are the seeding positions, just to refresh everyone€™s memory:

The Arena
The arena is still a hexagon shaped arena with three starting squares, coloured gold, green and blue. The pit in the middle of the arena has a switch on the far left wall. On both sides, the spinning cylinders weighing 200kg each and spinning at 2000rpm have been removed, to be replaced by Hardox spikes, two ft long in sets of 3. There are now a set of spikes that thrust up from the ground, which activate if a robot is on them for 4+ seconds. They are near the front of the ring. The walls were 1metre high, and robots would go OOTA, but now they are 50cm high, just so people can score more OOTAs.

Im sorry aobut that Martijn. It was typing fault I didnt notcie until too late.
After being at the airport for 5 hours, waiting for my uncle, Ive decided to post Round One of Heat A now.
Enjoy! :proud:
Heat 1
ROUND ONE
Killotine: EVO (1) vs. TIRTASM vs. Ramthrax 2
Firestorm 5 (17) vs. Van Tango vs. Dallas
From Scotland, seeded #1, KILLOTINE: EVO!!
Entered by Steven McGregor
The executing axe machine is back from beating Obliteration, Drilla Killa 7, Tornado, Agro 3.5, Crusher C.U, Black Panther Queen and Storm 2 to lift the Hardox cup! Virtually unchanged, Killotine is a low red box, armoured in Polycarbonate and Hardox. It also has 2 LEM130€™s giving 18hp and 16mph, and it uses its axe to chop and kill! However, the speed is low in vapourbot terms.
From Kelvedon, TIRTASM!!
Entered by Martyn Forsyth
A newcomer to the sport, TIRTASM is a rambot! A rambot with 18hp and 20mph speed, 4 wheels and a variety of interchangeable weaponry; these include a 15kg 10mm Hardox scoop, a 5kg drum, a pair of lifting forks, another 10mm Hardox scoop with 10mm rubber resistance, 8mm Vanadium/Titanium skirts for flippers and another set for ramming machines. The armour of Hardox will cope, but if an axe gets the wheels€¦
From Geddington, Ramthrax 2!!
Entered by Alex Holt
Another newcomer and another rammer. This robot is specially designed to kill spinners. It has a Hardox concave scoop to hold a spinner on, and 6 Vulkalon treaded tyres for purchase on the floor and the two magmotors give some power. 24mph is the top speed, but to give the spinner proof front, the sides and top are only 3mm Polycarbonate!
Booth One: Steven M
Booth Two: Martyn F (using weapon the 5kg drum)
Booth Three: Alex H
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Off they all go, Ramthrax being the fastest, planning to intercept TIRTASM on its way to Killotine, but Killotine hits into the side of Ramthrax!! The axe is slammed down, and it pierces the Polycarbonate before driving it across the arena into the sidewall. TIRTASM hits Killotine on the rear, knocking it up into the air! The axe retracts, and it moves onto TIRTASM, pushing it back and axing the top, creating pepper pot-like holes, but now its TIRTASM that shoving back, before Ramthrax comes in, to drive onto it! Killotine reverses off, and watches TIRTASM and Ramthrax shove against each other with Ramthrax slightly winning, before Killotine comes in from behind, to lock on and shove both machines. TIRTASM reverses back, ONTO THE FLIPPING SPIKES! It stays their too long, and is flipped. Killotine makes a hammering manoeuvre to the base, reverses to the pit button, and Ramthrax comes to shove TIRTASM down.
Result:
TIRTASM is pitted, and beaten first of all!
KILLOTINE: EVO (1) AND RAMTHRAX 2 GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!!!
From Durham, seeded #17, Firestorm 5!!
Entered by Graham Bone
Firestorm 5 is a respected RW contestant, with a record of 3 bronze medals and two semi-finals, but didn€™t do quite so well last time- it did beat Gravity and Giga-Byte, before facing SNDOS, and getting its weapon taken out, and flipped in the Heat Final. Firestorm is still tough, using an 8mm Aluminium shell, 3hp drive and grippy wheels. But most of all is the forward hinged flipper! It€™s strong, but 3hp isn€™t much, and a strong spinner could crunch it!
From Hampshire, Van Tango!!
Entered by Dave Sheppard
Prepare for the dance of death! It€™s a fast, boxy robot, with an axe used on a Terrorhurtz style rack-and-pinion system, with good control, and a new tactic - it has a lifting scoop, and it can be driven into a maddened spin, to toss its machines away. The armours thick and can fight well, but against a pusher, it could be in problems.
From Merthyr-Tydvil, Wales, Dallas!!
Entered by Daniel Stickler
The teardrop shaped machine will just make you cry! It€™s a fast robot at 18mph, has been made of Vanadium/Titanium alloy, but the biggest danger is the 18.5kg flywheel on the front, spinning at ridiculous speeds and producing 11kj of force!! It is a very effective, damaging robot, but pushing power is a bit on the weak side.
Booth One: Graham B
Booth Two: Dave S
Booth Three: Daniel S
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
And they are off! All of them are fast, but none is faster than Dallas, as it launches into the front of Firestorm, but the angle of the wedge means that Dallas rides up it. Firestorm drives it to the sidewall, and flips it almost over the top but the teardrop shape means it rolls back down, before Van Tango leaps in with the axe. The shell of Dallas is repeatedly pummelled upon by Van Tango, until Firestorm flies underneath, throws Van Tango onto the flywheel of Dallas which sends Van Tango into a whirl! Dallas now hits Firestorm on the sides of it, sending the machine onto its back, only for the 17th seed to self-right easily, and charge into the rear of Van Tango, whilst it was axing Dallas. Dallas hits Van Tango, turning it over, as Firestorm charges it into the side walls as Van Tango brings itself up, Firestorm flips€¦and the first OOTA of the series is made, as Van Tango flies out!
Result:
The only music for Van Tango is the death march!
FIRESTORM 5 (17) AND DALLAS GO THROUGH TO ROUND TWO!!!
ROUND TWO:
Killotine: EVO (1) vs. Dallas
Ramthrax 2 vs. Firestorm 5 (17)
What do you predict for Round Two?
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
i dont know where to start telling you the inacuracsies in the first fight.
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
I am going to say this in the nicest way possible.
Those fights are really bad.
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
lol i dont think that was the nicest possible way.
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Trust me, you DONT want to hear I want to say overall about those fights. :lame:
Problems...for one thing, I would REALLY suggest making those fights longer. For another, Killotine: EVOs axe is powerful but it cant punch holes in hardox instantly, even if the thickness is 3mm.
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Trust me, you DONT want to hear I want to say overall about those fights.
Nobodys perfect at writing all the time, Kody. Im sure you of all people have learned that.
Just let him get some practice. Hell improve.
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Okay, Tony, then why dont you give this guy some advice since youre sticking up for him so much? :P
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2

Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Very funny Aaron.
ANd Kody, you were the one being nasty about his writing. Im pretty sure its your job to apply consturctive critisim.
And naturally Im sticking up for him. Hes new at writing. Do you honestly think hes going to get it right the first time?
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Its everybodys job. I was just giving my opinion. Note I did give some advice on my second post. :P
And why would YOU of all people be sticking up for him so much? Seems a little suspicious to me. I think Aaron is on to something here... :P
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Do you know what Kody. SHUT UP ABOUT MY WRITING!
Antony is NOT me - but I do thank him for sticking up for me - and have two things to say:
1) At least my battles are written and sent on TIME!
2) I have a big problem with all my battles being saved in Microsoft - I cant tell the length very easily AND my sister is constantly on the computer so its pain trying to post them in AND my writing style is very different from you, and the other great like Richard S, Steven M, Martijn Benschop and...no, theyre the only ones.
As Tony said, its the beginning of the competition, and things are usually at their worst then, but just wait until we move on.

red And leave my thread alone!
That is just to tell you the old story, if you dislike it so, why bother with it?
This doesnt apply to everyone whos commented, it just for pepole who are being about this competition

Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
After ranting about that for multiple minutes, Ill post round two of Heat A NOW!
KILLOTINE: EVO vs. DALLAS
Both of these machines caused pain in Round One, but who€™ll cause more now, as Killotine and Dallas unleash hell?
Booth #1: Steven M
Booth #2: Daniel S
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Dallas storms off the starting square with breath-taking speed, and Killotine shortly after does the same. Dallas hits Killotine on the side, causing a little lift of the robot, but the axe of Killotine slicing down stabilises it, and reverses before Dallas can do anything else. Killotine: EVO reverses, so Dallas chases, being quicker, but Killotine dodges away to the right side, and slams down with the axe before driving forward and slamming it into the sidewall. Dallas tries to push against the drive Killotine, but it has 18hp - and Killotine will not be moved! The axe comes out and back in again and drags Dallas to the flipping spikes, letting them flip Dallas over. Dallas then speeds away but stops and Killotine slams the axe onto the wheels. Dallas can€™t brake away as it is pushed into the pit button. Killotine let€™s go with the axe, turns Dallas around, and drives it towards the pit, and eventually shoves it down!
Result:
Dallas gets shot in the heart. Its no match for the champion!
KILLOTINE: EVO (1) GOES THROUGH TO THE HEAT FINAL!!!
FIRESTORM 5 vs. RAMTHRAX 2
Quiet and effective are these machines, but who is more effective?
Booth #1: Alex H
Booth #2: Graham B
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Ramthrax starts off with the great speed, being twice as fast as Firestorm. The two make first contact, and its Firestorm who gets under and flips Ramthrax onto its back. Ramthrax now powers back onto Firestorm€™s front end to shoves it easily into the side wall. Ramthrax rides up the wedge again, and suffers another two flips. Firestorm now speeds it to the sidewall. The wheels of Ramthrax try to gain grip, but Firestorms acceleration is too great, batters it into the sidewall, flips up Ramthrax, beaching it up there. The wheels gain grip on the wall, and shove the 100kg weight of Ramthrax off the sidewall. Firestorm hits the pit release button, but Ramthrax charges into the rear of it, lifting its wheels off the ground. Ramthrax drags Firestorm towards the pit, and simply lets it slide down into the hole!
Result:
Firestorm 5 (17) is killed stone-cold!
RAMTHRAX 2 GOES THROUGH TO THE HEAT FINAL!!!
HEAT FINAL
Killotine: EVO (1) vs. Ramthrax 2

Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
quote:
tony = paul
Well it had to be said! :proud:
Paul, there are some errors in your writing which needs to be ironed out. For one, they need to be at least three times as long to get any sort of detail and accuracy in. If you say you write your battles in Word, then I would be aiming for at least a page per battle to make it worthwhile. Obviously from time to time some will be longer and some will be shorter. But 10 lines per fight isn€™t really good enough. Sure it will take time for you to take in what each vapourbot is capable of, but keep reading other people€™s battles and eventually you€™ll get the hang of it.
It is starting to get a bit OTT in terms of criticism€¦ €œAt least my battles are written and sent on TIME!€ I€™ve been through this before Paul - I don€™t know how old you are or what your interests are but you€™ll have to accept other people here will not have as much free time as you. People here have jobs or are in full time education, writing a few fights for a handful of people to read is hardly anyone€™s top priority right now. Nobody has set strict deadlines for when their battles will be written, so how are you to judge that other people are not getting their fights written on time?
And I can also see some complaints coming your way in terms of €˜top writers€™. Sure Richard, Steve and Martijn are great but you€™ve forgotten many great writers who would probably be offended by you saying €˜there are no more€™. Frank, Aaron, Chris, Kody, Matty, Martyn, Dave, Alex and Tony€¦ the list could go on. Do you really expect people to appreciate your fights and write their own fights €˜on time€™ if all you have done is just said there are only 3 good writers here?
To round it all off, if you want people to give a crap about this tournament then let people enter it. The last tournament you wrote you complained that nobody was commenting, and now you are getting comments you€™re just slagging people off! Sheesh! :lame: OK, I€™ve had my fun now, please carry on€¦
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Actually AJ, Im only slagging off KODY, but everyone, and thats because he said my fights might not be up to the standard of everyone on the forum.
And Im sorry about about what I said about the writers, I didnt mean to be that bruttish or offensive. Matty sure is brilliant.
And I do have more free-time in a age sense, as Im 14 yrs old, but I dont normally have that much free time, as I quite often suffer from bullying, (both verbal and physical) and Im being stuffed under a mountain of work to be done for Feburary next year, as part of Tony Blairs stupid idea to cut down on the costs for the education of people with special needs, like me.

Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Heres the heat final!
KILLOTINE: EVO vs. RAMTHRAX 2
We are at our first heat final. Who is going to win - the heavyweight boxing champion of Scotland, or the newbie from Geddington?
Booth #1: Steven M
Booth #2: Alex H
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Ramthrax charges from the starting line, but Killotine charges towards the pit release button. Ramthrax charges at the rear of the champion, hoping to pit it like it did with Firestorm in the last round. Killotine powers backwards; after committing this manoeuvre, it drives the axe into the 3mm Polycarbonate shell. The axe is withdrawn, but Ramthrax doesn€™t seem to be moving. It seems Killotine has it the spot and killed Ramthrax dead! The first countdown of the series, counting out the life of Ramthrax!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦cease!!!
Result:
Ramthrax 2 is too infectious for its own good!
KILLOTINE: EVO (1) GOES THROUGH TO THE SERIES SEMI-FINALS!!!
SEMI FINALISTS:
1. KILLOTINE: EVO (1), BEATING TIRTASM, DALLAS AND RAMTHRAX 2
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
I for one think Pauls top 3 of writers is spot on :proud:
Ok, heres my go.
Tournaments where the contenders have no input whatsoever are boring, period. I can see youre doing this for your OWN benefit, to improve your battles, but spending TWO WHOLE MAJORS of battles for this purpose is overkill. Why not write some random battles and ask for opinions. OR, make a lighthearted 4-way-league, a tourney with little at stake, have 4 people enter and write some fights, receiving constructive critism at the same time, both BEFORE and AFTER battles.
With that last sentence, I was talking of looking at predictions BEFORE writing a fight. If for some reason Killotine: EVO is paired up with Shovearound 2, and someone like Kody (my number 1 predictor!:proud:) is like I predict Shovearound to win this, his traction is superior and I dont think Killotine can damage that Hardox. If Killotine however damages the exposed wheels too much, he stands a chance, you can take that in account and THEN write a battle, and be pretty spot one :proud:.
You have some stuff to learn on weapon power, armours etc, but looking at how you did come up with Nitro-Gene a while ago, you probable are getting there.
I too write in Word. Times New Roman, 12, and ABOUT one page long. Three quarters of a page will do really, as will five quarters, of course in a way not every battle has to have the same length, some are just too one-sided.
€œAt least my battles are written and sent on TIME!€Â
You were rough there and Ill be rough back at ya on this matter; theyre only in time if someone is actually waiting for them. When you actually start an actual tournament (and I encourage you to do so in time), your tempo is much appreciated.
By all means keep on improving Paul.

Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Heat 2
ROUND ONE:
Y4 (3) vs. Tails vs. T.B
Son Of Ripper 4 (19) vs. Gyrate vs. Star 69
From Suffolk, seeded #3, Y4!!!
Entered by Christopher Mason
Back comes the shocker of the last wars! Y4 is a powerful flipping machine with two semi-exposed wheels that flipped past Flipping Hell, Achilles, Wedge Devolution, Bulldog Breed but fell to Storm 2€™s speed and power; however in the 4 way 3rd place play-off, Y4 OOTAed Crusher C.U, pitted Terrorhurtz and then Black Panther Queen to take the aluminium trophy and medal. The flipper at the tips lift 300kg+, as well as using 3 12V batteries to give it 16mph and 5mm Titanium armour. But the wheels are vulnerable!
From Scotland, Tails!!
Entered by Steven McGregor
The foxy contestant is back! Last year it showed potential but went OOTA in Round Two against Son Of Ripper 4 - they€™re in the same heat again so revenge might come about! It€™s a wedge shape, with a front hinged at LP, and a rear spinning bar rotating at 2000rpm. Its armour is thick, but it€™s spinning bar could hinder it€¦
From Largs, T.B!!!
Entered by Scott Anderson
The first translational spinner is this! A dome shaped robot with interchangeable shells - Both shells weigh the same but have different teeth, teeth for flipping machines and teeth for ripping machines. Its dangerously destructive, but dangerously slow!
Booth #1: Chris M
Booth #2: Scott A (using the ripping shell)

Y4 is the favourite, and is also the fastest. He charges at T.B, hitting it hard, and throws it 2ft into the air, but it lands on its wheels. Tails reverses in with the rear spinning bar causing sparks to fly off T.B€™s shell. Y4 charges at Tails, getting under the rear and launching it upwards - Tails hits the edge of the wall, but topples back inside the ring; only to fall on top of T.B€™s shell. The splintering sound of metal can be heard for metres back! The base panel is ripped away, and all the internals plop out in a disgusting way. Y4 charges at T.B and flicks it up, and onto the top of the wall, but it still topples back into the ring. However, Tails isn€™t doing anything, and this isn€™t biding well with the audience, as Y4 gives it another flip into T.B, the crowd gives the downwards count!!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦cease!!!
Result:
Tails is clipped!
Y4 (3) AND T.B GO THROUGH TO ROUND TWO!!
From Bourne, Lincolnshire, the seed #19, Son Of Ripper 4!!
Entered by AJ
Back comes the simple, but effective, Son Of Ripper 4, also known as SOR 4.0 - it has an impressive battle record, and reached the final of its heat last time, beating Tails along the way, but the speed and power of Flux confined it to the pit! Unchanged since last time, it€™s a box wedge shape, with 3.25 mm Hardox for armour, 2 wheel drive for power generating 6hp, and a rear dual cutting disc system, but neither of the weapons are that great, and a fast robot will get past its 13mph top speed!
From Kilkivan, Australia, Gyrate!!
Entered by Aaron Knight/Tom Roper
It€™s the one-hit wonder! Gyrate is best put by saying its rubbish€¦except for the weapon! Its armour is 2mm Polycarbonate, it can€™t self-right if flipped, it only has 5mph top speed, but its top spinning 27kg bar can reach speeds of 8000rpm, giving 1.25mj of energy! However, the bar is 35cm high, so invertible rammers could get it!
From Kelvedon, Star 69!!
Entered by Martyn Forsyth
Here comes the rudest robot in the world, and the first star shaped one as well! Shaped like a 5 point star, its points are attached to a spinning ring, powered by a C40-500 Magmotor, giving it repulsive damaging powers. It€™s also got 19mph top speed and 18hp! But the top armour is 4mm Titanium, and its also a bit random.
Booth #1: Martyn F
Booth #2: Aaron K/Tom R
Booth #3: AJ
Out of this next batch, one is weak, two are strong. Which is which, we find out NOW!
Roboteers, stand by!!!

Off goes Star 69 and Gyrate, starting by spinning up their blades, Star 69 reaching it first. SOR then moves out at its 13mph top speed, and charges at Gyrate, but is reached by Star 69 and its whirling ring, and is knocked off course, before Gyrate slowly moves towards it. SOR then flicked over Star 69, but Gyrate hit it on the flipper, and it splintered off, leaving SOR without a weapon at the front. But hen Star 69 hits Gyrate, and the 2mm Polycarbonate is destroyed! Star 69 then lands a hit to SOR as the judges count.
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦cease!!!
Result:
Gyrate is the perfect case of attack over defence. And its chances are over!

Do you know what Kody. SHUT UP ABOUT MY WRITING!
Like hell I will! Do you really expect crappy fights like yours to be looked upon with honour? I dont think so. I will continue to tell you your fights suck, UNTIL YOU START WRITING BETTER FIGHTS! Now get over it already and accept it. The sooner you do, the sooner you can start improving your fights.
This is almost Timmeh all over again, and Im getting fed up with it.

Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Ugh, this thread.
Kody, while I basically agree with you wholeheartedly, there are nicer ways to give criticism than Trust me, you DONT want to hear I want to say overall about those fights.
Or Those fights are really bad.
No one, no matter who they are, does not like being told that this really sucks and all this time that you spent working on it is wasted. Even if it is the truth, just the entire tone of it kinda reaks of being an arrogant gentalia (curse you word censors!). No one deserves that.
And Paul, you have to learn to take criticsm in stride. Despite how terribly the message was delivered, there is still a message for you to learn from. Take the advice, and use it rather than burying your head in the sand.

This doesn€™t stop another attack from SOR, as it throws T.B towards the arena edge, and then another flip to end it out!
Result:
T.B no longer needs a cure!

Y4 drives into it again, but the spinning ring hits the flipper and buckles it upwards, leaving everyone to wonder how the flipper is going to be used. Y4 pushes onto it again, despite taking more damage again, and then getting in another pin. Star 69 pushes back, moving Y4 back slightly, and spinning up again, before Y4 back up for a charge, charges in, and hits Star 69, flinging it away, but loosing a wheel guard! Star 69 moves about the wounded side, as rips the rubber off the rim of the wheel! The audience gasps as the 3rd seed is about to be counted out!

Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
Generally Paul, youll need to write longer battles. Let more hits occur, more disc-hits, more axe-blows, more flips, and even MISSES, and try to describe those hits in more detail. Dents, pierces, stuff ripped off, robots flying trough the air, WHATEVER. MANY things can happen in one fight, and if you watched the tv-show (and realize what you see on tv is a SHORTER version of what happened), you know what can happen when certain robots fight.

Martijn said it all for me, I see. :proud:
I just (really) dont like bad fights, and I am being truthful in saying that they are bad fights. Im not going to say that they are good if theyre not, Alex. :P The only way I can rephrase my previous comment nicely...is that these fights really, REALLY need an improvement.

Heat 3
ROUND ONE:
Terrorhurtz (5) vs. Kali vs. BOTCG
Clawdius Decimus Murderous (21) vs. Terror Gear 3 vs. Lunch Box
From Oxford, seeded #5, Terrorhurtz!!
Entered by John Ried
Welcome back to the king of Robot Wars axes, as it pierced out Axe-O-Lotl, Hell Machine, The Axe Attaxe, Whirligig 4.0, but fell to Storm 2 in the round before the final, however, it outlasted Crusher C.U before being pitted by Y4, to take 5th place! It€™s still shaped like a tetrahedron, armoured with a 6mm Stainless Steel front, and 12mm Polycarbonate armour, as well as that dreadful axe generating 900kg of force! It is very strong and hard to beat, but Terrorhurtz has a high rear ground clearance, open for many a flipper!
From Geddington, Kali!!
Entered by Alex Holt
Back comes a Storm 2 clone, hoping to recreate the formers success. A simple box wedge, with 6 wheel drive, and 2 LEM-130€™S at 46V, giving 25mph and 18hp. It also has a fiercely thick front end, being armoured with 1cm of Aluminium Boron Carbide, a substance which is twice as thick as the tough metal, Tungsten Steel, but lighter than Titanium, as well as having 5mm ABC for the sides and rear, including 14mm Polycarbonate for the top. The Bio-Hazard flipper has some power, but an axe could get through the top!
From Dadford, BOTCG!!
Entered by Matt Fowler
This machine€™s Back On The Chain Gang! An invertible pushing box, using 2 Eteks at 48V to give 30hp to power 4 wet Go-Kart wheels. The shell is made of 5mm Stainless Steel, a substance that could keep many a machine masher away. For weapons, it sports a 12.5kg drum, spinning at 5500rpm and generating 28kj of force!! It is tough, but it can be flipped easily!
In quite possibly the most exciting match-up yet, we go over to the arena, as the crowd cheers, as banners for Terrorhurtz, Kali and BOTCG fly!

They all speed into the middle of the arena, as Terrorhurtz turns into Kali, getting under the front, and pounding the 14mm Polycarbonate top. The top is getting wrecked, but a flip from the flipper, sends Terrorhurtz the message to back off. Now the pair team up on the sides of BOTCG, as Kali flips, Terrorhurtz axes, resulting in many a dent hitting the top and sides of BOTCG. Kali flips it back over, giving it more aggression points. Terrorhurtz comes back for Kali, axing the top, as BOTCG his Kali in the sides, flipping it over, but Kali runs away before stylishly self-righting and charging into and flipping Terrorhurtz over. Terrorhurtz and Kali now try to attack the front of BOTCG, but they are both bounces away, until Terrorhurtz gets around the sides, getting really far underneath, pushes it towards the arena wall, and the pit release button, but Kali charges in to flip it over the wall.
Result:
BOTCG gets beaten in Round One!
TERRORHURTZ (5) AND KALI GO THROUGH TO ROUND TWO!!
From Scotland, seeded #21, Clawdius Decimus Murderous!!
Entered by Steven McGregor
He is Clawdius Decimus Murderous, a robot with a sword of doom! Like the other seed in the heat, Terrorhurtz, Clawdius has a great battle record, but also like Terrorhurtz, it was beaten by runner-up Storm 2 last time around. Its still a 4 wheel drive wedge with a crusher, but this time, instead of 3.25mm Hardox, its 5mm Hardox. With almost everything the same, its questionable to see how well it€™ll do.
From Ottawa, New York, Terror Gear 3!!
Entered by Antony Politz
The idea of terror has gone into third gear! This American robot is box shaped, geared to get up to a speed of 26mph, and has 8mm Titanium. For weaponry, it has a 15kg drum, capable of destroying a few mm€™s of Titanium! But the armour is weaker than most, but will you last long enough to get it?
From Largs, Lunch Box!!
Entered by Scott Anderson
A tasty robot, of which I€™ve made a completely tasteless joke! Lunch Box is a wedge shaped machine with a full-pressure front hinged flipper. The robots powerful drive means it can get under anything and flip it OOTA, no questions asked! The armour and speed is decent, but if it gets flipped against the side, it could flip itself out!
Prepare folk, for the battle of the machines with the dangerous names: Clawdius Decimus Murderous, Terror Gear 3, AND Lunch Box!

CDM breaks its hold on Lunch Box, and turns away, as Lunch Box now attacks, and flips CDM 3ft into the air and 3metres forwards. Terror Gear comes in to try and keep it down, but doesn€™t succeed, as Lunch Box now decides to push Terror Gear towards the sidewall and flip! Terror Gear out!
Result:
Terror Gear 3 jammed in reverse, drives out of the competition!

Then Terrorhurtz bashes Lunch Box over, and faces the flipper against the wall. Scott activates the flipper, but it flies over the arena sidewall!
Result:
Lunch Box is just as powerful as a ham sandwich!

Terrorhurtz, now behind, thwacks the rear, but Kali reverses it towards the pit. Terrorhurtz just dodges, but it€™s starting to struggle now. It now plans to get Kali flipped, and drives into the centre of the arena, but Kali gets under that rear ground clearance! Its now pushing it into the sidewall, building up speed, and then a ram and a flip into the sidewall sends Terrorhurtz crashing onto the outside of the ring! Kali does a spin of delight, having made the semis!

ROUND ONE:
SNDOS (7) vs. Psycho Cyan Evolved vs. RingMaster
Psyclonised (23) vs. Panic 3 GTI 2 vs. Mega Masher 2
From England, seeded #7, SNDOS!!
Entered by Richard Southworth
SNDOS stands for €˜Slice N Dice On Steroids€™, just so you know! Last year, it Slice N Diced Gravity, Cyclone Force 2.5 and Firestorm, before it was pitted by Black Panther Queen! Like last year, SNDOS is a box with 4mm Hardox protection, and a 30kg disc at 3000rpm! Deadly! But the speed and power isn€™t that good, and could be in trouble if the weapon stops!
From Ottawa, New York, Psycho Cyan Evolved!!
Entered by Antony Politz
This is one of the scariest designs in vapourbot history. Another box-wedge shape, with two spinning discs on the top the robot, and two hydraulic lifting clampers at the front. The speed of the robot is used to get to machines, the clampers clamp down, and lift a machine onto the discs, which weigh 10kgs and are very strong, but if it fails to get in the first hit, then the 3mm Aluminium will be cannon fodder!
From Merthyr Tydvil, Wales, RingMaster!!
Entered by Daniel Stickler
Will you welcome, next up, the master of the ring! The Welsh ring spinner, is a low invertible cylinder, with 4 wheels, powered by 2 LEM130s at 46V giving it 20mph, and 18hp, so it can work even without the weapon. And for the good of everyone, the weapon might not work, as its weapon is a 2metre diameter ring, with 8 steel teeth on the perimeter. It€™s got a weight of 30kg, and a maximum rpm rating of 1000, and generating 150kj of energy. It is tough, but doesn€™t have a great protection on top!
Back for another round one fight, but who€™ll go first?

Psycho Cyan rushes out with its much greater speed, and tries to grab SNDOS, which is a bad move, as SNDOS moves backwards-right, and Psycho Cyan only hits the wall, so SNDOS moves in with the disc, and throws it over as well as ripping the aluminium panel in two! RingMaster is now spinning and comes to attack SNDOS, as Cyan self-rights onto the spinning ring - more damage, this time to the front! Antony is thinking of tapping-out, but isn€™t able to as RingMaster lands another blow to the wounded robot! But now RingMaster goes for SNDOS, and Antony notices he can still move!!! RingMaster clashes with SNDOS, who takes away a chunk of the ring! Cyan tries to get a blow, but drives onto the flipping spikes, and is turned upside down again! SNDOS takes the chance, and cracks into the base panel, ripping a large crack from it! Smoke is appearing from the inside, as the countdown begins!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦cease!!!
RingMaster and SNDOS spin in delight, after showing their destructive power!!
Result:
Psycho Cyan Evolved ain€™t any psycho-killer!
SNDOS (7) AND RINGMASTER GO THROUGH TO ROUND TWO!!!
From Bourne, Lincolnshire, seeded #23, Psyclonised!!
Entered by AJ
Look out for the eye of the storm, and look out for Psyclonised!! A robot with great potential, which only reach Round 2 last time, following a pitting by Crusher C.U. This still can do quite well - it€™s an invertible circular robot, with a spinning ring around the edge, making it something known as a ring spinner, but it also has a basic spinning cage mounted to it, which has 3 large Hardox blocks attached to dish out some serious hurts! The cage works as an anti-axe frame, and speeds of 15mph are nothing to argue with. If anyone can find a weakness in this machine, we€™ll be the first to tell you€¦
From Kelvadon, Panic 3 GTI 2!!
Entered by Martyn Forsyth
Panic!!! Panic Attack, but better according to the designer. It€™s a low box, with 6 Vulkalon wheels, and two Magmotors for power. As well as the lifting forks, it can push well, but a good spinner could crunch it up and spit it out!
From Onehouse, Suffolk, Mega Masher 2!!
Entered by Christopher Mason
Mega Masher - it does exactly what it says on the tin. A large invertible wedge shape robot, moving at 20mph, and with 5mm Titanium armour and a rear saw blade, is a very powerful machine, despite losing in round one last year to Tails and Flux. But if the tyres are hit it could be in trouble!
