Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
Right - Here it is:rofl::rofl::rofl:
EYE OF THE ROBOT - SERIES 1
This is the start of a new era of fictional roboteering. Inspired by the FightingRobots fan fiction forum, I€™ve made a new tournament - Eye of the Robot (E.O.T.R). This is a great task for me to learn to write longer things, and put more effort into what I do, and not rush it.
The competition is 6 rounds with 12 heats, and 6 robots in each heat. This set up is like this
HEATS
R1 - 2 x 3 ROBOT MELLES, TWO GO THROUGH
R2 - 2 x 1 ON 1, TWO ROBOTS GOES THROUGH
R3 - 1 x 1 ON 1, ONE ROBOT GOES THROUGH
FINALS
R4 - 6 x 1 ON 1, 6 ROBOTS GO THROUGH
R5 - 2 x 3 ROBOT MELLES, 2 ROBOTS GO THROUGH
PLAY-OFF - ONE 4 ROBOT BATTLE
R6 (GRAND FINAL) - 1 ON 1.
I will give 11 realies (this may increase later on) to reduce vapour numbers - they are:
VOLTRONIC
TURBULENCE
STORM 2
TORNADO
GRAVITY
TERRORHURTZ
FIRESTORM 5
BEHEMOTH
BIG NIPPER
BULLDOG BREED
DANTOMKIA
I will also enter eight of my robots to help as well.

The Arena
The arena is a hexagon shaped arena with a pit in the top right corner, with the release switch next to it on the left. The pit is in the middle of the arena. On both sides, there are spinning cylinders weighing 200kg each and spinning at 2000rpm. There are 4 on each wall, two spin upwards and two spin right. There are two starting squares are at the top and bottom of the arena. The walls are 1metre high, and robots will go OOTA.
The Judging System
The system has 5 categories: Style, Control, Strategy, Aggression and Damage. It category is 15 points spilt between the robots. E.g. x: 2 y: 13 The points add up to 75 and the winner is the robot with the highest score.

Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
1. people didnt actually enter this, so they wont feel very bonded with this entire tournament
2. and well... whats the point in predicting, the torunaments over anyway, Y4 will win Heat A and Storm will beat Leprosy Infection in the Heat B final
this particular tournament will never feel like others, but itll still be a way to show off your writing skills, as well as some cool battles, for some people it might also show how good their bots are
this could be a great way up for you to start writing real tournaments, which WILL have lotsa people posting
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
Fair point Martijn, however although Y4 will win Heat A and Storm 2 wins Heat B, there are 12 other heats, which anyone could win.
Its full of stuff few people will expect. Im at school at the moment, but Ill post Round One of Heat A when I get home

Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
Just a couple of words of advice:
Things dont always happen instantaneously on the forum; just because no-one has replied a day after you made the first post doesnt mean that theyre ignoring it - it just means that either they dont have any interest in it or they just havent seen the thread yet (the fanfic threads were really quiet a couple of weeks ago so its possible that some of the regular fanfic posters arent visiting the forum every single day)
No need to get angry about it; comments such as Reply if you dont wish this to happen dont exactly sound welcoming, some people will pick them up as being demanding and/or rude, not everyone will like that.
Dont want to sound as if Im having a go at you, its not my intention; just want you to consider how other people might perceive some of your comments.
Im not a fanfic participant so my views of your tournament might be different from those who regularly compete but you seem to have a good understanding of how to go about running a thing like this so good luck for it - some people might prefer to decide if they want to enter their vapourbots rather than having them already entered but for being your first tournament on this forum, it appears to have a solid base which is always benficial so I hope it goes well :)

Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
Due to what everyone is saying Im going to post all of Heat 1, just to put some life back into the forum:
HEAT A
Round One
Entered by Steven McGregor, Wedge Devolution!!
Wedge Devolution is the classic robot based vapourbot. Shaped like a sleek wedge with sloped sides to avoid stacking and it€™s armed with a rear-hinged flipper, that is so powerful, the least amount of weight it could pick is 1000kg! It€™s also got 2 LEM 130€™s at 36V and armoured with 4mm Hardox, Wedge Devolution is hoping to do well!
Entered by Christopher Mason, Y4!!
Y4 is the first contestant from underrated vapourboteer, Chris Mason. This robot is based on BattleBots season 5 Middleweight champion T-Minus, with exactly the same shape, only this is slightly faster at 20mph and has very, VERY tough titanium armour. Y4 could be the surprise of the heat.
Entered by David Weston, Flipping Hell!
This robot with a rather rude name has a rather nasty weapon. Yet again, it€™s a flipper, but super mechanics mean it can win with just one flip - on a bad day, it can flip 100kg 15ft into the air, and you often fly out of the arena! Even if you do survive one flip of Flipping Hell, enacting revenge is very tricky - 18mph, Hardox/Titanium/Valadium armour makes this the robot everyone wishes to stay away from.
Steve walks up to Booth #1, waving to the audience with his ever enthusiastic smile. He picks up the controls for Wedge Devolution. Christopher Mason is in Booth #2; he€™s dressed like the Terminator, even with glasses! And of course Dave Weston is in Booth #3 and he€™s in a suit to mark the beginning of E.O.T.R.
The audience cheers and the arena starts the countdown to start the tournament.
Roboteers, stand by!!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Straight away, Flipping Hell is of and underway, looking to go for Y4, but Y4 charges straight at him. The narrow blade gets underneath Flipping Hell, and he is flipped over, does a double somersault, but lands on his back. Dave Weston presses the flipper button, and then we see the power of his flipper, he flies 7ft in the air, and lands right side up!
Wedge Devolution meanwhile has flipped Y4 over, only for Y4 to quickly self-right, but Flipping Hell isn€™t doing anything, it seems to be immobilised. Wedge Devolution flips Y4 again, but Y4 keeps on self-right and getting away, this time now pushing Y4 into the spinning bars on the arena left side wall. Wedge Devolution is spun away, and then flipped. Flipping Hell is getting counted out!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦CEASE!!!!
Wedge Devolution finishes by flipping Y4 OOTA.
Result
Flipping Hell broke its drive chains when it self-righted. The all terrifying Flipping Hell is out; Wedge Devolution goes through along with the surprising Y4
Entered by Alex Holt, Achilles!!
Achilles is a highly popular robot; with experience in at least 4 tournaments - FFW 3, NSTT, PTT 5 and VFT6. It is a box with skirted sides at a rounded rear end. The armour 5mm Titanium, covered in 2inches of Vulcanised rubber. The weapon is a flipper with an extension, which can be changed with pneumatics or hydraulics to make it either flip or lift. Achilles is a tough cookie.
Entered by Michael Cuomo, Invertex!!
Invertex is a brand new vapourbot! Like everyone in this heat, it€™s a flipper, with 2 hydraulic rams at 1000psi, this generates 3 tons of force at the scoop and 5 tons if fully underneath another robot. The flipper is shaped like a €˜V€™ with 2 10cm long extensions on the scoop. The armour is 13mm Titanium and it is 4 wheeled. Invertex could suck everyone into the Invertex.
Entered by Antony Politz, Aquarius
Aquarius is the simplest robot in the heat, but not the worst at all. An invertible double wedge with a flipping arm. The armour is Titanium at 12mm thick. Two wheels move the robot at 10mph, and it has one of the lowest wedges in the competition.
Alex Holt is in Booth #1, and waves to the audience, Michael Cuomo€™s in Booth #2 and is looking very smart, and Antony just looks normal in Booth #3!
Roboteers, stand by!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Achilles starts off the quickest and rams into the rear of Invertex, flipping it up, with Invertex quickly self-righting. Aquarius box-rushes Achilles and flips it as well. Alex presses down on the flipper button, and throws himself over Invertex, and Aquarius. Invertex now pushed Aquarius towards the arena wall, too fast for Aquarius to resist, a flip and Aquarius flies through the air and lands on the outside of the arena!
Result
Aquarius flipped out the arena. Achilles and Invertex go onwards to Round Two:
Round Two line-up:
Achilles VS Y4
Wedge Devolution VS Invertex
Round Two
Entered by Alex Holt, Achilles!!
In round one, despite being picked on, it survived by Aquarius getting OOTAed, courtesy of Invertex!
Entered by Christopher Mason, Y4!!
In round one, Y4 was thought to have been outclassed by Flipping Hell and Wedge Devolution, but shocked the crowd when it flipped Flipping Hell, who then self-righted itself and immobilised itself.
Chris is back in Booth #1, Alex is in Booth #2, waiting to get fighting!
Roboteers, stand by!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Both machines storm form the starting squares, and both head for the pit release switch. Achilles reaches it first, and the siren is sounded. PHUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTT! Y4 now is behind Achilles, and is pushing it towards the pit. Achilles 4 wheel drive is showing too much resistance, so Y4 flipped it up and started to push it towards the pit. Achilles flipped itself away from peril and turned around to flip Y4 over and over and over. Y4 is then pushed into the horizontal bot shredders, and is spun away. Achilles seems to be dominating the fight, but Y4 charges onto the flipper blade, quickly reverses and Achilles flips. Y4 darts under the open flipper and throws Achilles skywards, darts in again and flips him again, Achilles is up against the arena wall and tries to self-right, but can€™t, so Y4 zips in and Chris presses the flip button, and Achilles is send out!
Result:
Achilles dominated the fight, but is out of the arena AND the competition, and Y4 is into the heat final
Entered by Steven McGregor, Wedge Devolution!!
Wedge had an easy trip through Round One after Y4 flipped Flipping Hell, and Flipping Hell immobilised itself with it€™s flipper!
Entered by Micheal Cuomo, Invertex!!
Impressed the audience with the OOTA of Aquarius, after ganging up on Achilles.
Michael is in Booth #1, Steven is in Booth #2, AND THE AUDIENCE IS READY!!!
Roboteers, stand by!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Wedge Devolution, the faster by 3mph, speeds out, and speeds under Invertex. The flipper fires upwards and Invertex is flipped. Wedge Devolution continues to push it, as Invertex self-rights and reverses into the Bot shredders. Wedge come back in on the attack to push and flip away at Invertex, but now Wedge Devolution is flipped, but stylishly self-rights. Wedge pushes again, this time Invertex is sent into the pit release switch, and the pit descends. But now Wedge is spinning around on the spot, and Invertex sees the chance to come it and attacked Wedge Devolution using the flipper well to throw it over with a double somersault. Invertex backs off as Wedge comes back with another attack. Wedge Devolution is now starting to smoke CO2, and Invertex comes in to flip it. Wedge flies through the air several times, but Wedge is able to push it. Invertex is shoved and flipped, and then, for the first time in E.O.T.R, it goes to the judges!!
Judges Decision:
Style
Wedge Devolution had style with its flipper, and so did Invertex. However, Wedge used fast rams and quick recovery from when it was flipped.
Wedge Devolution: 9
Invertex: 6
Control
Invertex was poorly driven, and never got away from danger. Wedge Devolution on the other hand, used its opportunities well and effectively. Therefore, Wedge was more controlled
Wedge Devolution: 10
Invertex: 5
Strategy
Wedge€™s plan was to use the arena walls and obstacles to damage Invertex, and this worked a lot. Invertex didn€™t have a strategy, and it didn€™t do well
Wedge Devolution: 13
Invertex: 2
Aggression
Wedge€™s flips and rams were more frequent than Invertex€™s flips and rams. Invertex was more front-on, but it didn€™t work.
Wedge Devolution: 13
Invertex: 2
Damage
Invertex suffered damage from the bot shredders, but Wedge Devolution started to smoke and spin around, and this was discovered to be a control malfunction.
Wedge Devolution: 4
Invertex: 11
Total
Wedge Devolution: 49
Invertex: 26
Result:
It€™s a whitewash for Wedge Devolution! Invertex has a faulty cortex, and crashes out of the competition!
Heat Final
Y4 VS Wedge Devolution
Entered by Christopher Mason, Y4!!
Y4 has shocked everyone, first by flipping over Flipping Hell and then Flipping Hell immobilised itself, and it went through with Wedge Devolution, despite going OOTA. In the next round, another shock was in store for us, as Y4 was battered by Achilles, but Y4 placed Achilles in an inescapable position against the sidewalls, and then sent it OOTA!
Entered by Steven McGregor, Wedge Devolution!!
Wedge Devolution had an easy ride through round one, letting Y4 immobilise Flipping Hell, and then flipped Y4 OOTA after Flipping Hell was counted out. It started well against Invertex in the last round, but started smoking. It held on long enough to go to the Judges Decision, where Wedge won 49:26!
Chris is back in Booth #1, and the audience cheers him as the most surprising roboteer in the competition with Y4, and Steven is in Booth #2 and the audience cheers him with the successful Wedge Devolution.
Roboteers, stand by!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!!!
Wedge charges down Y4, but Y4 is faster and gets away. Wedge keeps the front facing Y4 and isn€™t letting the flipper near it. Then Y4 rushed into the side of Wedge Devolution, getting under the skirts and charging it towards the arena walls, but Wedge Devolution flips itself out of the way, now though, it€™s been shoved into the vertical bot shredders. The base panel has a piece now missing from it. Y4 flips it again, and the batteries fall outwards! Wedge Devolution isn€™t even twitching; Y4 spins on the spot as the audience counts Wedge Devolution out!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦CEASE!!!!
Y4 pushes Wedge Devolution into the wall one last time, and flips€¦
BANG!
Result:
Wedge Devolution needs to devolve again
The little shocker that is Y4 blasts into the semi-finals!

Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
I know no-noes probably going to read this, but I might as well post. Ive been having trouble with the internet, which is why Im posting now:
Heat B
Round One
Entered by Andrew Jackson, ForcePower Turbo!!
Please welcome the noble war horse that is ForcePower Turbo. This is the most powerful machine in the entire competition, with 2 B42-500 magmotors running on 60V giving this machine the equivalent of 64hp! The armour is tough as well, with the front as 5mm Hardox, Titanium at 5mm for the sides and an aluminium base.
Entered by Ed Hoppit, Storm 2!!
The first realie entered into this competition, Storm 2 is REALLY tough! A template for all vapourbot rammers, this Lynch powered warrior uses two Lem 130€™s at 36V to give it pushing power of 18hp, not as strong as other vapourbot rammers, but still enough to push you anywhere! It€™s the second fastest in the heat 25mph, and it also has a very powerful lifting arm. Will the raging wind thunder through today€™s heats or will the raging wind become broken wind?
Entered by Antony Politz, Shovearound 2!!
It€™s easy to guess what Shovearound 2 is designed for! A 12mm Hardox box with 10 lifting forks at the front, capable of lifting 150kg with ease! 4 LEM 130€™s at 48V give a top speed of 28mph, and a load of tyre smoke!
Andy is in Booth #1, Ed is in Booth #2 and Antony is in Booth #3, ready for the rammers rumble to commence!
Roboteers, stand by!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Storm 2 and Shovearound 2 both thunder towards ForcePower Turbo, Shovearound 2 reaching it first, and using the forks to lever it off the ground, then slam it into the arena sidewalls. Storm 2 pushes Shovearound 2 into the arena wall, but in doing so, flips ForcePower Turbo onto it€™s back! Storm 2 then pushes Shovearound 2 into the bot shredders, but no damage is caused. However, it is flipped, and is pushed again by Storm 2. ForcePower Turbo has rammed itself into the pit release switch, and then into the vertical drum. ForcePower Turbo is righted and lets off after Storm 2. Storm 2 gets underneath the front and pushes it into the side alls of the arena, before lifting it up, and turning it over again. Shovearound 2 comes in again and slams ForcePower Turbo into the arena wall, before they were both pinned by Storm 2. Shovearound 2 then uses its speed and lifting forks to flip it back upright, and then comes to push Storm 2 again, but Storm 2 escapes and pins ForcePower Turbo again. The audience is counting down for another judge€™s decision. The €˜cease€™ is called after ForcePower Turbo finally slams Storm 2.
Judges Decision
Style
ForcePower Turbo only used its wedge to effect, Storm 2 used the hazards and its weapon and Shovearound 2 used its speed and weaponry. Shovearound was more stylish and therefore earns more points
ForcePower Turbo: 1
Storm 2: 5
Shovearound 2: 9
Control
ForcePower Turbo was poorly controlled, Shovearound 2 used control well in attacking the inverted ForcePower Turbo, but left itself open to attack form Storm 2 a lot of the time. Storm 2 was the best controlled out of everybody.
ForcePower Turbo: 2
Storm 2: 10
Shovearound 2: 3
Strategy
ForcePower Turbo€™s plan was to shunt everyone around. Shovearound 2 and Storm 2 had the tactic of ramming and flipping ForcePower Turbo then attacking it and another one. ForcePower Turbo didn€™t achieve it; Shovearound 2 had average success, whereas Storm 2 completely controlled the fight.
ForcePower Turbo: 2
Storm 2: 10
Shovearound 2: 3
Aggression:
ForcePower Turbo only got an attack in at the end, and it was good. But Shovearound 2 only spent time in attacking ForcePower Turbo and Storm 2 whilst they were attacking each other, but it was aggressive. Storm 2 was very nasty and attacked all the time.
ForcePower Turbo: 4
Storm 2: 7
Shovearound 2: 4
Damage
No robots sustained damage except for ForcePower Turbo who used the drums to self-right.
ForcePower Turbo: 3
Storm 2: 6
Shovearound 2: 6
Total
ForcePower Turbo: 13
Storm 2: 38
Shovearound 2: 25
Result:
ForcePower Turbo wasn€™t forceful enough. Storm 2 thunders through along with Shovearound 2!
Entered by Matt McDonald, Ripoff Yet Again!!
This is the first Matty robot. A 50kg shell spinning at 900rpm is enough to damage and the armours thick to match it. The wheels are good, the teeth are sharp, and can Ripoff Yet Again win its first fight?
Entered by Christopher Mason, Leprosy Infection!!
Prepare to go to hospital after Leprosy Infection€™s been in the ring! Chris Mason€™s developed a monster robot, its fast at 18mph, it€™s an invertible box shaped robot with four high traction tyres and has Titanium armour at 7mm thick. To finish it off, it has a 15kg 4000rpm drum with curved teeth to flip and rip opponents.
Entered by Steven McGregor, Clawdius Decimus Murderous!!
Here€™s the first crusher robot in the tournament! CDM is a wedge like robot, nippy at 13mph, armoured in 3.25mm Hardox, armed with a 3000psi crusher with Hardox tips, it also has two Hardox spears at the front to aid in getting under other robots and it can self-right through a pneumatic ram inserted into the arm.

Chris€™s drum starts to spin up to speed. CDM tries to grab hold of Ripoff Yet Again, and succeeded in crushing the top of it. Leprosy Infection pushes CDM and flips it over, and tears the Hardox shell. Ripoff Yet Again is now spinning up to full speed, and crashes into Leprosy Infection, but causes no damage to it. CDM is now clawing Leprosy Infection, attempting to avenge the defeat in the Heat A Final for Wedge Devolution, but the Titanium is resisting well, with only scratches on the shell. Leprosy hits CDM with the drum, and tears six large slices in the Hardox shell, while Ripoff Yet Again struggling to move. Leprosy hit it, and flings it over. CDM comes in to crush the base of Ripoff Yet Again, and slices through it easily. Leprosy Infection comes in again to the smoking Ripoff Yet Again and rips a panel off it, leaving the internals smoking about! In it comes again, this time to use its 18mph top speed to rush it to the arena wall. CDM keeps back, and Ripoff Yet Again is flung over the fence. Clawdius Decimus Murderous and Leprosy Infection spin around, victorious. But suddenly, Leprosy comes out of nowhere, and drives into the claw of CDM at such an angle in such a way, that the hydraulics brake and the claw suffers major damage! Now what? Clawdius comes in, and a side panel is disconnected from the rest of the robot! Cease is called before anymore damage is caused to Clawdius Decimus Murderous. Will the damage be repaired in time?
Result:
Ripoff Yet Again has been ripped off yet again, as it€™s flipped and pushed to the arena wall, its guts spewn on the arena floor, its armour in pieces, and it is out of the arena. Leprosy Infection is looking strong, whilst Clawdius Decimus Murderous is looking broken; Steven has work to do to the claw, hydraulics and armour.
Round Two Line-up
Shovearound 2 VS Leprosy Infection
Storm 2 VS Clawdius Decimus Murderous
Entered by Antony Politz, Shovearound 2!!
Teamed up on ForcePower Turbo with Storm 2, and despite some valiant efforts from the 64hp monster, and some pins from Storm 2, Shovearound 2 scored 25 points on a JD, not as much as Storm 2, but more than ForcePower, and it was enough to ensure it to go through.
Entered by Christopher Mason, Leprosy Infection!!
Leprosy Infection has made a massive impact on this tournament in just one fight! It spilt the guts of Ripoff Yet Again about the arena, flipping it, ripping it, OOTAing it, and causing damage to Clawdius Decimus Murderous
Antony is feeling confident is Hardox shell will cope with the opponent, and he smiles in Booth #1. Chris is happy about the damage he€™s done, but will Leprosy infect Shovearound 2? Chris thinks he will in Booth #2!

Shovearound 2 launches away from the starting square, but Leprosy Infection has done the same, and the drum is also spinning. First contact is made. Shovearound 2 bounces upwards into the air and lands on top of Leprosy€™s drum! The side skirt is torn from below, and it also takes a wheel with it! Shovearound is wobbling, a lot! Leprosy Infection comes in to immobilise the other wheels. Shovearound is now only turning right, so Leprosy comes in from the left, flips it up and tears out another wheel. And strikes something else, as Shovearound 2 isn€™t moving. It€™s time for the audience to count it out!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦CEASE!
Leprosy Infection spins, but the audience wants more, so Leprosy comes in again, this time ramming the lifting forks. All ten of them are ripped off! Then Leprosy Infection pushes Shovearound 2 into the horizontal bot shredders, and more damage is caused, as both the rear and right side skirts are torn off. Leprosy hits the sides again, and the batteries and motors are ripped out and land on the arena floor in a number of pieces. Antony yells for his machine to be left alone now, and so it is.
Result:
After the fight, a moment of silence is held for Shovearound 2. After the fight, we discover 3 causes of death. The first was the axles jamming onto the chassis to prevent the wheels from turning; the second was the safety link being ripped out. And the third was Leprosy Infection, and it moves on to the Heat Final!
Entered by Ed Hoppit, Storm 2!!
Shovearound 2 and Storm 2 made a fantastic team in Round One, as they easily ganged up on and beat ForcePower Turbo on a 38:25:13 decision
Entered by Steven McGregor, Clawdius Decimus Murderous!!
Clawdius tried to damage Leprosy Infection, but couldn€™t, so crushed the flipped Ripoff Yet Again, whilst Leprosy Infection destroyed Ripoff Yet Again, OOTAing it, and then destroyed CDM€™s hydraulics, armour and claw!!
Steven is worried about the damage done to him, as Clawdius Decimus Murderous is now made up of metal and gaffe-tape. He€™s scared in Booth #1. Ed Hoppit is hoping to repeat his success from round one, he€™s confident in Booth #2.

Immediately, the taped up Clawdius Decimus Murderous went out and tried to crush Storm 2 tyres, the side skirts of the Robot Wars World Champion kept the wedge from getting underneath, and instead, it got underneath Clawdius Decimus Murderous and slammed it into the walls. And the gaffe-tape snapped! The side armour of CDM fell away and was left laying on the floor, so Storm 2 came in again, and flipped it, and used the arm to keep CDM from self-righting. The claw was bashed into the pit release button, so hard, it bent. Storm 2 then had to let CDM self-right. So it did, and CDM self-righted into the pit!
Result:
Clawdius Decimus Murderous joins the Roman warriors that fell before it. Storm 2 thunders into the heat final, where a challenge is awaiting it€¦
Heat Final
Leprosy Infection VS Storm 2
Entered by Christopher Mason, Leprosy Infection!!
Leprosy Infection has had a highly impressive run through the tournament at the moment, and is the crowd favourite, destroying Ripoff Yet Again with ease and its deadly drum and showed it the way out of the arena. Shovearound 2 was beaten to the arena floor in round two, and ended with the audience wanting more, and they got more, and soon Shovearound 2 was NO more!
Entered by Ed Hoppit, Storm 2!!
Storm 2 has been charging well through the contest. ForcePower Turbo was flipped about and beaten on a judges decision, Storm 2 went through with Shovearound 2. In Round Two, Clawdius Decimus Murderous would have been a worthy adversary, but the damage Leprosy Infection had caused to it in Round One made it light work, as Storm 2 made it look easy in out pushing, flipping and pitting it.
Chris already has one robot, Y4, in the semi finals. He hopes Leprosy Infection will join Y4 in the semis, as he smiles away in Booth #1. Ed is slightly worried that Storm 2 might not cope with the force of the robot he€™s up against. He is still smiling though in Booth #2.
Roboteers, stand by!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Storm 2 thunders away towards the drum of Leprosy Infection, but gets there before the drum reaches its top speed. Storm 2 pushes it back so hard the whole arena shakes under the force. Leprosy Infection is launched off Storm 2, and finally gets the drum up to speed, and hits Storm 2€™s sides, ripping the 6mm Titanium off. Storm 2 though is pushing again, and is stopping the drum again. This is surprising for the audience, as they were expecting Storm 2 to be in a number of bits by now. Storm 2 now using its lifting arm to jam the spinning drum onto the floor and stop it spinning, charging it towards the pit release, and the €˜PHUUUUUUUTTT!!!!€™ noise is made. It drops Leprosy Infection, and slams it again into the arena walls. Leprosy Infection, once again gets the drum up to speed, and comes in to ram Storm 2 on the front right corner, flipping it up, and tearing away a bit of the Titanium. Storm 2 rams it again, and Leprosy Infection self-rights it. The judges mark on the poor control from Chris Mason in allowing Storm 2 to self-right. And now Storm 2 has flipped Leprosy Infection over. As Chris gets his controls wrong, Storm 2 hits him again, and Leprosy Infection flips himself up, but loses 4 of its 6 teeth on the drum! Also, Storm 2 braces it on its lifting arm, charges it towards the arena side walls, and stacks it there. The wheels of Leprosy Infection are spinning, but there€™s no grip coming from them! Ed Hoppit spins in delight as €˜CEASE€™ is called. But he€™s told a few seconds later, that Leprosy was still mobile, and it goes to the judges. Ed looks gutted, but he€™s cheered by the audience for the performance, as the judges deliver their verdict.
Style
Leprosy Infection and Storm 2 showed great style through the use of their weapons. Leprosy Infection used the drum and Storm 2 used its speed to dodge and lifting arm to flip. Storm 2 was more frequent and scores more points.
Leprosy Infection: 6
Storm 2: 9
Control
The judges were impressed by Storm 2€™s constantly good control throughout, even though it was flipped and damaged by Leprosy Infections drum, it used Leprosy to flip itself back. Leprosy was out-controlled and pushed a lot, and so is consistently out-judged in this category
Leprosy Infection: 5
Storm 2: 10
Strategy
Leprosy Infection plan was to seriously damage Storm 2, and it succeeded completely. Storm 2€™s plan was to finish it off by using the hazards, and then at the end, showed good strategy in stacking Leprosy Infection, and removing some of its teeth. Leprosy Infection was more successful, so scores more points.
Leprosy Infection: 9
Storm 2: 6
Aggression
This was Storm 2€™s category. Leprosy was aggressive for the first part of the fight, but then it was shoved about the arena. However the damage done to Storm 2 gives Leprosy a smaller disadvantage than people expect
Leprosy Infection: 4
Storm 2: 11
Damage
Storm 2 had huge problems in this category. True, it did remove nearly all of Leprosy Infection€™s teeth. But in closer inspection, it was discovered that, on Storm 2, the front panels had come loose, and that the chassis was in danger of coming apart on the right. The front right hand-side made of 12mm Titanium is reduced to only 2mm Titanium, and the 6mm Titanium side was completely ripped off.
Leprosy Infection: 13
Storm 2: 2
Total:
Leprosy Infection: 37
Storm 2: 38
Result:
By a massive turn-up for the books, Leprosy Infection€™s impressive run ends, on a one point decision! Storm 2, with its armour on the floor, but not its heart! Ed is delighted, as Storm 2 is through to the semi finals!

In my opinion, I really think that ForcePower would have done more, as hes more powerful and more controlled than Storm 2, and yes, even with that team-up against him. But hey, this isnt my tournament.
Im guessing you really like Storm 2 then. :proud:

Round One
Entered by Matt McDonald, The Axe Attaxe!!
Can Matty repeat this robots success on the FRF? A high wedge armoured in Bomb-Proof Lexan, 10mm on the sides and back and 13mm on the front. For a weapon it has an axe, powered by an Etek at 60V, producing 1000kg of force, with a pointed point for piercing!
Entered by John Reid, Terrorhurtz!!
The most terrifying realie is here to cause carnage! A tetrahedron Lexan built robot, with a stainless steel front scoop has an axe with a broad-blade, not for piercing, but for whacking! The robot is fast as well at 16mph and is aggressive.
Entered by Christopher Mason, Axe-O-Lotl!!
This robot is named after the amphibian Axolotl. The robot is built like a big box wedge, moving at 20mph it€™s the fastest in the heat, armed with a powerful axe that never runs out of power.
Matty is back and in Booth #1, he hopes to do well in a battle of the axes. John Reid recently won €˜Robots Live!€™ at Burgess Hill with Terrorhurtz, and he€™s in Booth #2. Christopher Mason hasn€™t won anything yet, and he€™s Booth #3.

Terrorhurtz meanwhile is pounding onto Axe-O-Lotl. Terrorhurtz pushes it away into the pit release button. Axe-O-Lotl tried to get away, but hang on - The Axe Attaxe is alive! It slams in, and Axe-O-Lotl is bashed into the pit!
Result:
Axe-O-Lotl is pitted and swims back to the oceans of misery, lapping at the toes of defeat. Terrorhurtz proves its worth, and the lucky The Axe Attaxe.
Entered by Andrew Jackson, GeForce!!
Please enter one of the most powerful flippers in the competition! GeForce is a tall wedge with sloped sides and back, and a nitrogen powered flipper at 100psi to exert a force of 1500kg at the tip of the flipper.
Entered by David Weston, Hell Machine!!
This is the Hell Machine, the devil tips his hat to it, and he does for free! This a lethal robot, armoured with armour as hard as a rock, and its shaped like a half cylinder with two scoop, one at the front and the back. For weapons it has a flipper that is front hinged and can flip 600kg, and it also has an axe with a point, that is so powerful it exerts 3000kg of force!
Entered by Frank Goacher, Tempest Evil-er-lution!!
Tempest Evil-er-lution is a revolutionary machine (See how long it takes you to get that?)! True, its ring spinner like most other machines and it€™s armoured with Aluminium and Titanium. However, the ring is brilliant, spinning at 2000rpm and giving 125kj of energy is just the start - it deliberately bounces off the other robot to spin up again after it€™s been hit. And the teeth are interchangeable, theres 2cm teeth, 6cm teeth 15cm teeth and 25.5cm teeth!
Andrew Jackson is evilly eyeing up the other robots and checking their ground clearance from the safe distance of Booth #1. David Weston is eyeing up Tempest Evil-er-lution, as Frank has beaten him three times before now, and he vows revenge from Booth #2, but notices Tempest has the 15cm teeth. Frank vows for coffee from Booth #3!

Hell Machine gives it one more strike on the base panel of GeForce and Tempest bashes and destroys it as well.
Result:
Hell Machine uses Tempest€™s pinball style of defence to break GeForce then finish it off. Tempest Evil-er-lution and Hell Machine go through to round two!
Round Two line-up
The Axe Attaxe VS Tempest Evil-er-lution
Terrorhurtz VS Hell Machine
Entered by Matt McDonald, The Axe Attaxe!!
The Axe Attaxe attempts to do well in this competition didn€™t start particularly well, as its front was broken off my Terrorhurtz, but Terrorhurtz pitted Axe-O-Lotl to help Matt€™s axing robot go through.
Entered by Frank Goacher, Tempest Evil-er-lution!!
This pinball wizard easily went through round one, when it smashed up GeForce€™s flipper and then GeForce was flipped by Hell Machine
Matt is trying to think of what he can do to Tempest in Booth #1. Frank isn€™t even bothering with tactics in Booth #2, except for putting on the 6cm teeth.

The Axe Attaxe isn€™t giving it any breathing space and is still pressing onto Tempest Evil-er-lution, not letting it escape. But suddenly, Tempest gets away and spins up to speed. The Axe Attaxe though rams it again, and watches it spin away, and finally, Tempest spins into the pit.
Result:
If you have you a problem in your house, call the local Tempest Control. It€™s run by The Axe Attaxe, and he€™s in the Heat Final
Entered by John Reid, Terrorhurtz!!
Terrorhurtz caused huge damage in Round One. First by removing the front of The Axe Attaxe, and then beat the stuffing out of Axe-O-Lotl before pitting it and going through with The Axe Attaxe
Entered by David Weston, Hell Machine!!
Hell Machine attacked its rival, Tempest Evil-er-lution, and then used it to destroy and immobilise GeForce!

The Axe Attaxe VS Terrorhurtz
Entered by Matt McDonald, The Axe Attaxe!!
The Axe Attaxe had a rough ride in Round One, when Terrorhurtz broke off its front end, but then assisted in pitting Axe-O-Lotl. However, The Axe Attaxe showed us all what it€™s made of, by dominating over Tempest Evil-er-lution, then pitting it.
Entered by John Reid, Terrorhurtz!!
Terrorhurtz has quietly but effectively moved through this tournament with ease, first by causing huge damage to The Axe Attaxe, then pitting Axe-O-Lotl, and in round two, Hell Machine went straight to heaven as it was beaten.
Matt is in Booth #1, looking for revenge after round one. John Reid believes he had a chance, as he looks down from Booth #2.

Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
Heat D
Entered by Steven McGregor, SD IV!!
This one of Steven€™s most successful vapourbots with success in many tournaments, including VFT 1. Steven has thought about every detail of the design. The robot€™s shape is a box with a wedge at the front, flanked sides and a triangular back that goes to a sharp point. The wheels are driven by 2 motors that generate 4hp each, giving it 8hp. The robot is armoured in 4mm Hardox, and for a weapon, it has a saw mounted along the ground to cut wheels and skirts and the base panels of other robots.
Entered by Andy Jackson, Pysclonised!!
Andy comes in with his most viscous entry to date! A 15cm high horizontal cylinder, with a spinning ring around the edge merged with an anti axe/crusher cage. The cage is made of 8mm Hardox, and had 3 Hardox blocks on the hammer, strengthened by three beams of 8mm Hardox. The ring is also 8mm Hardox and spins using a 52hp motor, allowing it to spin at somewhere near the 3500rpm brackets. The robot moves at 15mph and is scary!
Entered by Christopher Mason, Orka MK.4!!
Chris Mason describes Orka as an €˜all round jack of the trades€™. Shaped like a box that goes up at the rear, Orka is armoured in Titanium, has 6 wheels that give a ton of grip. And for weapons, it has a front lifting scoop that can lift up a bus, and it has a claw to grip as well. For self-righting, it uses a dorsal fin mechanism.
Steven looks down from Booth #1. Andy looks down from Booth #2. Chris looks down from Booth #3, as they await their 3 way duel.

And they are off! All three of them are fast at 15mph, but Psyclonised starts off first, by attacking and seriously damaging SD IV! As SD IV is spun away, Orka MK.4 lifts and slams Psyclonised into the arena walls, where the drums on the sides tear away a bit at the sides. SD IV tried to push and slice Orka, but couldn€™t, so tried to get revenge on Psyclonised, and pushed it across the arena into the pit release button. Psyclonised spun up and slammed into SD IV, breaking the Hardox side shell. SD IV spun the sword and sliced at Orka MK. 4, who spun SD IV around, grabbed it, lifted it, and rammed it into Psyclonised. The top was battered to the point of breaking off. Orka dropped it, only to find both Pysclonised and SD IV attacking it, and flipping lit, only for us to see the dorsal fin based self-righter working perfectly. Psyclonised is being pushed again by SD IV, but Orka MK.4 comes in and flips Psyclonised over. SD IV soon follows it, as Orka MK.4 flips SD IV over, and pushes it down into the pit release switch. Psyclonised charges at them, and SD IV is launched into the pit.
Result:
SD IV pitted. Orka MK.4 proves it is still the monster of the big, blue arena, and Psyclonised works on the psyches on the robots they might be facing in Round Two!
Entered by Alex Holt, Tengu 7!!
This has to be the most successful vapourbot on the FRF. EVER! Alex Holt€™s 7th incarnation of this lethal robot is made of 4mm Titanium, and has an anti-spinner frame to deflect fellow FBS€™s. The spinner itself is the full body spinning at a speed high enough to deliver 70-80KJ of energy. The teeth it has are made of 2cm of aluminium, each is 15cm long, and curve sharply upwards to flip over robots with high ground clearances/centres of gravity and rip up robots that don€™t fit in that category.
Entered by David Weston, Flaming Hell!!
Flaming Hell is what is victims will be saying! Flaming Hell is a box with four wheels, and a huge 20kg spinning cage, rotating at 3000rpm, with three frightening looking €˜bot-openers€™. The body is 3mm Titanium
Entered by Michael Cuomo, Crusher C.U!!
Crusher C.U is here, ready to make everyone come back with camouflage! The robot is an invertible box wedge, with its wedge at an angle of 22* for getting under everyone. The suckers grip everyone on its wedge, and the crushers claw them. The crushers are mounted just behind the wedge, and it the wedge and work like pliers and deliver 6 tonnes at the tips. 17mph and 16hp make this robot hard to push and the armour is 12mm Titanium and 5mm Tungsten steel.
Tengu€™s weapon is spinning, as Alex checks from Booth #1. David Weston is checking his weapon as well, in Booth #2. Crusher C.U spins about and Michael Cuomo gives a wave to the audience from Booth #3.

Tengu 7 speeds in, buffeting both robots, ripping a bit of armour off Crusher C.U, but destroying the cage on Flaming Hell! Crusher comes in and grapples the cage, starting to crush through the 3mm Titanium as though it didn€™t exist. Flaming Hell is walloped into Tengu, and more damage has been caused to Flaming Hell. Dave is now yelling €˜Back off! Back off!€ The match is instantly stopped, to prevent irreparable damage being caused to Flaming Hell.
Result:
Flaming Hell is exactly what Dave is saying as he sees his robot deduced to scraps. Tengu 7 and Crusher C.U go into the next round.
Round Two line-up
Orka MK. 4 VS Tengu 7
Psyclonised VS Crusher C.U
Entered by Alex Holt, Tengu 7!!
Tengu splattered Flaming Hell about, before Dave asked to surrender to save his robot further punishment.
Entered by Christopher Mason, Orka MK.4!!
Orka MK. 4 proved it€™s worth in Round One, where it engaged in a violent melee with Psyclonised and SD IV. SD IV got sliced and flipped, but pushed a lot, until it was pitted, and then Orka and Psyclonised went through.

Heat Final
Orka MK.4 VS Crusher C.U
Entered by Christopher Mason, Orka MK.4!!
Orka dominated Round One, where it used Psyclonised to batter SD IV to death before pitting it. It didn€™t quite dominate Round Two, where it received a bunch of cuts and clashes courtesy of Tengu 7, but once Tengu was flipped, and lined up to prevent it from self-righting, Orka ensured a place in the Heat Final.
Entered by Michael Cuomo, Crusher C.U!!
In Round One, Crusher C.U took a bit of damage from both Flaming Hell and Tengu, but once Tengu shattered the spinning cage of Flaming Hell, Crusher C.U could dominate it utterly. Psyclonised also caused it damage, but Crusher C.U kept on pushing it, finally down the pit.
Chris already has Y4 in the semis, and hopes from Booth #1 that Orka MK.4 will join him. Michael has been very lucky so far, as he€™s readying up Crusher C.U for the monster whale.

But not for long, as it fires its hydraulic self-righting arm, and charges back on another attack. Crusher C.U comes in, and once again gets underneath the front scoop, and is now crushing it inwards. Orka raises the scoop to break loose but can€™t. Orka is slammed into the pit release button and dragged towards the arena pit, turned around and pushed down the pit. Michael bashes the glass of his Booth in utter joy.

Revving off the starting line is Wedga Revo. This robot is a cut-off wedge like Steg 2, but instead of a flipping arm, at the front it has a scoop with an extension connected to a really big lifting arm that can flip over 400kg. This robot also has 6 wheels, 18hp and armour made of Titanium.
Entered by Matt McDonald, Not Another Pushover 3!!
Yet another Matt robot, but it€™s Not Another Pushover. Not Another Pushover is low to the ground with a Pussycat style cutting blade. It€™s fast at 20mph and covered in Titanium.
Kane Aston in Booth #1 gets prepared to fight. Andrew Jackson is in Booth #2, and is also preparing to fight, along with Matt in Booth #3.

Off speeds NAP3, followed by Wedge Revo and Behemoth. Behemoth€™s straight underneath Wedga Revo and flips it and Wedga self-rights straight away. Wedga Revo looks at Behemoth getting underneath NAP3 and pushing it backwards. Wedga Revo seeks in behind Behemoth, gets the scoop under the ground clearance and we see it launched upwards towards the arena wall, but thankfully lands inside the arena. NAP 3 tries to keep Behemoth down, but Wedga Revo flips it as well. Behemoth finally self-rights and pushes into the rear end of NAP 3, lifting and flipping it over again. NAP 3 slams Behemoth down the ring, but Wedga flips it over again, before Behemoth pushed NAP 3 towards the end of the arena, flipped it on top of the arena wall. Wedga Revo tries to flip Behemoth over, but Behemoth flipped it first. NAP 3 now started to be counted out.

Behemoth and Wedga Revo revolve into the next Round
Entered by Steven McGregor, Whirligig 4.0!!
Don€™t stop him now, he€™s having a good time€¦ripping robots to bits! Steven McGregor€™s first (and only) Full-Body Spinner is lethal. The fourth generation of Whirligig has a 33.072kg shell, spinning at 2000rpm producing a terrifying 183kj of energy. The shell is also 2cm of Titanium and 9 blades on it. It€™s designed to be a shuffler, and has two pads giving it 15mph!
Entered by Richard Southworth, MORD2!!
The Master Of Robotic Destruction is here to perform is technique! Richard Southworth€™s first contestant is a shuffling box made of Titanium, armed with a lifting scoop at the front. Once the scoop is raised, a 20kg drum spinning at 2000rpm can attack its opponents. The robot moves at 20mph and its tactics are to push and lifting with the scoop, and to mash with the drum.
Entered by Christopher Mason, Die Ceratops ReInvertus!!
The mighty dinosaurs aren€™t extinct, this robot€™s proof! An axle robot, with 2 big wheels and a long flipper, made of thick Titanium, can flip over 2000kg! The robot moves at 15mph and gives off a ton of grip from just 2 wheels.
Steven feels he€™s been holding back for too long, and from Booth #1 he thinks Whirligig 4.0 will unleash carnage. MORD2 is going to give Richard a destructive start as he prepares from Booth #2. And finally, Chris plans to fly them fly and then let them die, from Booth #3, with Die Ceratops ReInvertus.

MORD2 is instantly off, being the fastest of all the three robots. He goes off to Die Ceratops, while Whirligig is still spinning up. Whirligig is now up to speed and comes in to attack MORD2. The Titanium was battered to death by the 183kj of force, but still remained on the robot. Die Ceratops has escaped to the side of MORD2, and as MORD2 tried to turn into it, it quickly broke the skirting on MORD2, and flipped it skywards! Whirligig 4.0 is now coming in for another attack on MORD2, and this time attacks the front of MORD2. Whirligig, coming in with it shell at top speed, rips an entire plate off the front of MORD2. Die Ceratops is now underneath Whirligig, and throw it like a frizz bee! MORD2 is now pursuing the flying Whirligig 4.0, and catches it from underneath. Die Ceratops is now suddenly starting fault. Its left hand side is wobbling. Whirligig 4.0 comes over to take complete advantage of this, gets under the rear of the Dinosaur, and tears something out of the bottom. MORD2 comes in to turn Die Ceratops over, and we can see what€™s happened - the rubber on the wheels has been peeled off, and it cannot move. The audience is counting down on the weak and beaten Die Ceratops ReInvertus!

Round Two line-up
Whirligig 4.0 VS Wedga Revo
MORD2 VS Behemoth
Entered by Steven McGregor, Whirligig 4.0!!
The most powerful FBS to date started this tournament in an impressive style, by having a good tussle with MORD2; then it shredded the rubber off the wheels on Die Ceratops ReInvertus.
Entered by Andrew Jackson, Wedga Revo!!
In Round One, Andrew Jackson€™s flipper robot started poorly after being flipped over and nearly pitted by Behemoth, it went through after Not Another Pushover 3 was stacked against the sides and left there.
These two have fought before in another vapourbot competition called the €˜Fowler Fic Wars€™ 3.1. Although the tournament was cancelled, we were shown the results of what might have happened. Whirligig and Wedga Revo made the final with Wedga getting thrashed at first, but then stacking Whirligig to take the win. Steven vows revenge from Booth #1. Andrew Jackson hopes to make his first Heat Final with Wedga Revo.

Wedga is now trying to push the FBS towards the hazards, but now the armour is buckling under the enormous kJ factor. Whirligig comes in for one last assault on the armour, and charges around Wedga Revo, hitting the armour as it went around it. Wedga Revo was now down to the bare chassis! Entered by Richard Southworth, MORD2!!
MORD2 had a rough ride through Round One, when it was battered by Whirligig, and tossed about by Die Ceratops ReInvertus, but won when Whirligig shredded the tyres on Die Ceratops ReInvertus.
Entered by Kane Aston, Behemoth!!
Behemoth flipped over Wedga Revo and shoved about Not Another Pushover 3, and left it stacked on the arena side wall. Once counted out, NAP 3 was thrown OOTA by Wedga Revo, and then was pitted by Behemoth.
Richard Southworth is spinning around to show the audience he means business, and he€™s in Booth #1. Kane Aston€™s robot has fought box shaped machines before, and he€™s in Booth #2, with the hope he will do well.

Whirligig 4.0 VS MORD2
Entered by Steven McGregor, Whirligig 4.0!!
Whirligig 4.0 started the run through the competition by battering the shell on MORD2, and then shredded the tyres on Die Ceratops ReInvertus. It met its old nemesis, Wedga Revo, and then battered it to death.
Entered by Richard Southworth, MORD2!!
Started in that first Round fight against Whirligig 4.0 and Die Ceratops ReInvertus. It had is Titanium shell battered by Whirligig, and ended up getting a load of air-time, courtesy of Die-Ceratops, but it won when it fought back and survived whereas Die Ceratops ReInvertus had its tyres shredded. In Round Two, it completely dominated over Behemoth, but nearly got pitted! However, Behemoth misjudged, and fell in instead.
These two have fought in a one-on-one before. Like Wedga Revo, they met in the €˜Fowler Fic Wars€™ 3.1. MORD2 and Whirligig were in the same heat, where MORD2 shocked the crowd by beating the 3rd seed. But it was battered by Whirligig in the heat final. Steven is confident in Booth #1, but in Booth #2 Richard is smiled about something - he€™s added several sheets of Titanium.

Whirligig then attacked it again, and ripped the scoop off, and 2 wires came out with it. Richard suddenly realised - the batteries are in the front of the robot, and Whirligig has ripped out the wires. Steven is cheerful, and he powers the shell down to save MORD2 anymore damage.

Heat F
Entered by Michael Cuomo, Flux!!
Here comes speed, power; prepare to feel the Flux! A low box shaped robot with Aluminium, Titanium, and Bomb-Proof polycarbonate for the body, and 10mm Hardox for the skirts, Flux is 8 wheeled, has a load of traction, and it can produce 50hp from it€™s motors to give it 26mph!
Entered by Christopher Mason, Mega Masher 2!!
Here comes Chris Mason€™s clone of Minion! An invertible wedge shape with 6 wheel traction, and a saw at the rear producing 2000rpm. It€™s skirted from the sides and rear and it€™s got a low front, armour of 3mm steel and can go to speeds of 20mph!
Entered by Steven McGregor, Tails!!
You€™ll struggle to get this robot by its tails! Named after one of the good characters from the video game, Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails is a classic wedge, moving at 12mph, with a front hinged flipper, and a rear horizontal spinning blade, weighing 10kg and capable of revving up to 2000rpm. The armour is Titanium covered in fur to jam up spinners.
Michael Cuomo is ready to get fighting with Flux, and get readies his controls from Booth #1. Mega Masher 2 to ready to do, what it€™s designed to do, and Chris Mason€™s going to do it from Booth #2. Tails - a prickly hedgehog. Will Steven be pricklier in Booth #3?

Tails now tries a hit-and-run style of tactics, and quickly slices at Mega Masher with its blade. Mega Masher 2 now tries to get under Tails, and succeeds, but can€™t push it as Flux is pushing Tails from the other side, and slams both. Tails is now moving again, but Mega Mashers rear saw has sliced into the arena wall, and it can€™t break out! Flux has yet another shoving match with Tails, while Mega Masher was counted out!

Entered by Andrew Jackson, Son Of Ripper 4!!
A relative of the Ripper is here! This Ripper has a rear hinged flipper, that can easily toss another machine OOTA, and 2 rear spinning discs with a speed of 1200rpm. The armour is thick at 3.25mm Hardox, and has 2 wheels delivering 6hp!
Entered by Richard Southworth, Snakebite IV!!
Beware the Snakebite! The robot is shaped like a Snakes head, and it opens like a jaw, so it can lift/flip robots over. It moves at 10mph, it€™s a shuffler, and it also has 4mm Hardox armour!
Entered by Alex Holt, Archangel Of The Abyss!!
Here come the angels! This robot is a two layered FBS. The top layer is for defence, and spins at 1000rpm, and this there to deflect over swinging weapons like axe and crushers, and the bottom layer can spin at 2500rpm and can destroy with ease. It€™s a walker and can move at 8mph!
Andrew€™s most successful entry gets prepared from Booth #1. Richard Southworth did well in Heat E, can he do well in Booth #2 with Snakebite IV? And Alex Holt has had a bad tournament so far, he hopes in Booth #3 that things can only get better.

Entered by Steven McGregor, Tails!!
Tails was given a bunch of painful rams and slams and bashes and crashes, all courtesy of Flux, but won through that tricky first Round Battle when Mega Masher 2€™s blade was stuck into the arena wall.
Entered by Andrew Jackson, Son Of Ripper 4!!
This Hardox all-star box wedge had a bad start after being bashed and thrashed by Snakebite IV and Archangel Of The Abyss, but won after it was rammed into the pit switch, with Archangel€™s leg in the pit, the Son reflected it into the pit.
These two fought before in the 5th place battle in the €˜Norman Sheppard Tribute Tournament€™, where after Son Of Ripper had famously beaten the champion (It was seeded #2 at the time) it was beaten to a pulp by the eventful event champion Automatic Schmuck, and similarly, Tails had been famously beating people, but was beaten by Giga-Byte. Drilla Killa 7 bounces away, the rear wedge took the pain, as it has bent inwards. Son of Ripper meanwhile has flipped Tails over and once more, pushing Tails into the path of the Tanto.
Drilla Killa 7 comes back, and slams into the side of Tails, as it is a Gang Up on Tails moment, as Son of Ripper flips Tails over, as Tanto 3 puts on full power and slams the inverted Tails straight into the arena wall. Andy, gets the front wedge under Drilla Killa 7, the damaged side from it€™s moment against Automatic Schmuck still visible where the panel has a large scar straight though it, as Son of Ripper flips Drilla Killa 7 upwards, as Tanto 3 rams into the rear of Son of Ripper pushing it into Drilla Killa 7, which is resting against the wall, and Andy fires the flipper, sending Drilla Killa 7 over the fence and down onto the tracks.
Tails has opened the pit release, its rear end completely bent from the impact, as Tanto 3, turns and at once is underneath Tails€™ front and has started to push Tails towards the arena wall once more. Son of Ripper turns and gives chase to Tanto 3 as it slams Tails into the wall, making it jump around, before resting on its side, and falling down onto the flipper. Son of Ripper rams into Tails, pushing it around, and giving the rear end a good hit by the rear disc, as Tails starts to leak co2, in a cloud. Tanto 3 slams into the front end of Son of Ripper, and it goes up the wedge. Andy has a smile upon his face, as Tails is counted out by Ref. A sad end for such a comedy robot.
Tanto 3 is flipped quickly over the arena wall, by Son of Ripper, as Andy turns around, as the red card is shown at Tails, as in a twist, Steve€™s robot has survived just long enough to claim 6th. There is no question who gets 5th though.

Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
Heat G
Round One
Entered by Andrew Marchant, Tornado!!
Tornado by name, Tornado by nature! This robot is a small box with 4 motors in it which are powerful enough to give it 7hp! The robot has 4 wheel drive, grippy tyres - the robot only does 10mph (so the team say!) but it is very fast and agile, and it has interchangeable weapon - a 7kg 2500rpm drum, a 15kg steel scoop, an anti-axe/crusher frame, and a long Hardox spike!
Entered by Alex Holt, Baldur Gamma!!
A super-scooper is this bot! A box shape, with a good lifting shovel at the front, and really powerful motors to give this robot extra power. The tyres are bigger at the front than they are at the back, which means it can have twice as much traction than wheels which are all the same size. For armour, don€™t try to damage this robot, as the overall thickness of Hardox on this robot is 51mm! Tough!!
Entered by Richard Southworth, Drilla Killa 7!!
This Drilla that can Killa is as scary as Godzilla! A double wedge box with a drill inserted into each wedge spinning at 600rpm, not enough to get through armours like Titanium and Hardox, but it€™ll go through tyres with ease! The top speed of this bot is 17mph, and it€™s 4 wheel drive!
Tornado has the Hardox spike on to allow it to push other robots without fully touching. Up in Booth #1, Andrew, the driver is going to hope it€™s going to work. Alex has had a seriously bad competition, can Baldur Gamma do better? The controls are picked up in Booth #2. Richard Southworth has been doing alright; he€™s in Booth #3.

Tornado backed off Baldur, and let Baldur come at it. Alex raised the scoop, but he did it too early and therefore, Tornado and Drilla KIlla 7 got under it and pinned it against the drums! Alex is groaning as his robot is pushed into the drums, but the Hardox is surviving well enough. Baldur is bashing left and right like a trapped insect struggling for life. And it succeeded in forcing away Tornado, and Baldur pushed Tornado backwards a bit. Drilla Killa 7 came and finally pushed underneath Baldur Gamma from the rear. Tornado tapped the pit release button. The siren sounded, but Baldur was shoving Drilla Killa 7 too quickly, and the Killa went over the pit, and Baldur fell through!
Result:
Baldur Gamma needs to be Beta - go back to step Alpha.
Tornado whips up a storm and Drilla Killa whirls into Round Two!
Entered by Christopher Mason, Obliteration!!
Named after a roller coaster from Christopher Mason€™s imagination, Obliteration hopes to give a scream of a performance! An invertible full bodied spinner, that can spin at 500rpm, and is very much capable of battering another robot to death. The armour is 7mm Titanium, and it can move to a top speed of 5mph!
Entered by Steven McGregor, Killotine: EVO!!
Prepare to die, by the Killotine! A red box wedge shaped machine, which has 4 inner wheels, with skirts on the sides and back to prevent flippers getting underneath. The armour on top and bottom is Bomb-Proof Lexan at 15mm thick, and the front, rear and sides are 3.25mm of Hardox. The drive motors are strong enough to give it 18hp, and it€™s very controllable at 16mph top speed, Killotine: EVO is one of the favourites for the competition!
Entered by Matt McDonald, Flippa Frenzay Mk 7!!
There€™s going to be a Flippa Frenzay! A low wedge shape with side and rear wedges with skirts to protect it against flippers, but it can flip 1000kg with its awesome flipper, and it can push with 15mph and 2hp!

Flippa Frenzay comes into the sides but this time, Killotine: EVO bashes underneath, and brings the axe down onto the Titanium body of Flippa Frenzay! Obliteration is still struggling to reach the struggle between Killotine and Flippa Frenzay, and finally reaches it, but the damage caused is insignificant. Killotine pushes Obliteration into the arena wall, and hacks down upon the tyres on Obliteration, puncturing them and bending in the Titanium shell, making a pepper pot out of the shell! Flippa Frenzay throws Killotine: EVO again, but this time, the axe flicks in back as soon as it hits the ground. Flippa Frenzay now decides to attack Obliteration, gets underneath, and is pushing it towards the arena wall, and FLIP! Obliteration lands outside of the arena!

Heat Final
Killotine: EVO VS Tornado
Entered by Steven McGregor, Killotine: EVO!!
Killotine: EVO was the favourite for the heat, and showed it in Round One, where it butchered Obliteration, and left it to die by Flippa Frenzay Mk 7. In the following Round, it looked all over for Steve, as Drilla Killa had him on the ropes, but he saved himself, and survived Drilla Killa€™s shove towards the pit.
Entered by Andrew Marchent, Tornado!!
Tornado silently pushed in Round One, and let Baldur Gamma be unlucky in losing via falling into the pit. In the last Round, Tornado pushed Flippa Frenzay so hard it flipped, and Tornado kept it down to get into today€™s Heat Final!
Steve with Killotine: EVO is hoping to get Killotine: EVO to join Whirligig 4.0 in the semis. Can Steve do it from Booth #1? Can Andrew, who has been fitting Tornado with the 2500rpm 7kg cutting disc, cause an upset from Booth #2?

Straight away, Tornado is starting to spin the disc as Killotine comes out. Killotine plans a run to capture and clamp Tornado, but Andrew isn€™t that stupid, and he swerves away to avoid the attack, and the pushes into the sides of Killotine, but that blade isn€™t doing anything to the sides. So Andrew just puts the power down, and pushes him towards the arena wall. Killotine: EVO doesn€™t plan on making the same mistake twice, and rams into Tornado with the rear of the robot. Tornado swerves, but Killotine: EVO has caught it on its front! Given it has twice the power of Tornado, it rams it backwards into the arena wall, and batters the top of it with its axe blade, the axe piercing the steel and Titanium like butter! Tornado is struggling to get out, but Killotine loosens its hold. Tornado now followed Killotine, as it went to the pit release button. Killotine rams it too hard and too fast, and it leaped up and the back. Tornado goes in the underneath! Tornado is backing Killotine towards the pit - this could be a major upset! But Killotine€™s wheels are now gripping the top of Tornado, and drives off! Steven mops his brow, and he bashes under Tornado for a second time, clamps with the axe, and Tornado is driven into the pit!
Result:
Tornado goes from raging wind to broken wind!
Killotine: EVO is going to draw blood in the semis!

Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
Heat H
Entered by WJ Dijkstra, Gravity!!
Feel the force of Gravity! A two wheel drive narrow wedge shape, with an awesome flipper capable of flipping 100kg 5ft into the air! The armour is 5mm polycarbonate, and it€™s 2 x 750w motors give a top speed of 10mph!
Entered by Richard Southworth, SNDOS!!
SNDOS is ready to bash and crash, and dash and mash! A two wheeled box-shaped invertible with rounded sides and rear. This already doesn€™t sound like a robot to be feared, but it is - 4mm Hardox armour all around, and it also has for a weapon, a massive flywheel, weighting 25kg and spinning at 3000rpm! It can also move at 12mph, and it can push well!
Entered by Graham Bone, Firestorm 5!!
They€™re back, ready to flame through another competition! Firestorm is a simple structure, but it is also tough. Two wheeled with 3hp, aluminium armour at 9mm thick, strong enough to withstand blows from some flywheels, and a lethal front hinged flipper, capable of flipping 170kg on the top of the arm. It moves at 12mph and is very agile!
Hoping to give a flipping good performance from Booth #1, is WJ! Richard is going to mash its enemies from Booth #2! And Graham is prepared to roast the opposition from Booth #3!

Away they all speed, and Firestorm heads for SNDOS, while Gravity heads for Firestorm! SNDOS dodges Firestorm€™s first charges and lets Gravity throw Firestorm over, before battering the rear of Gravity with its disc! Firestorm lands on its wheels, and plans on charging into the front of Gravity! Firestorm€™s front is low enough to smash past the flipper and push Gravity across the arena with good power and control, and the judges note this. Gravity brakes way and rams into SNDOS, but SNDOS turns into it, and the flipper nearly brakes off because of that charge! SNDOS now turns around, and backs onto Gravity, and batters it into the pit release switch - and now Firestorm dashes into the deadlock, and rams both machines away! Gravity flips itself back, and now box rushes Firestorm, and flicks it so high and so far! Firestorm lands upside-down. It self-rights, but SNDOS charges in and rips a sheet of aluminium off the left side of Firestorm! Graham is flabbergasted at the damage done to his machine! Richard is shocked as well, and WJ uses this opportunity to flip SNDOS. Gravity, all of a sudden is now moving on one wheel, and now SNDOS comes in, and rips off the armour surrounding all of it! The motor on the left seems to have come loose, as we can see wires missing. WJ looks now in horror, as Rich charges in, and the wheels are ripped right off! WJ is surrendering!

Entered by Christopher Mason, Cyclone Force 2.5!!
A cyclonic force is about to strike! Chris has designed, from his imagination, a Storm 2 clone, with has polycarbonate armour to ensure nothing will get through, AND a variety of weapons to choose from, ranging from 2 30cm spikes, a 20kg 3000rpm spinning disc, a Storm 2 style lifting arm, a pair of pincers and a standard wedge. This machine is the fastest in the heat and 25mph, and it has 18hp driving it!
Entered by Andrew Jackson, Giga-Byte!!
This robot has no bark, but plenty of Byte! A U shaped robot, which works like a full body grabber, moving at 20mph, and using 18hp as the power, armoured in 7mm Hardox, and it has 2 wheels!
Entered by Michael Cuomo, Turbo Terra!!
Terra just got a Turbo! A 25cm high cylinder with 16 curved Tungsten steel teeth mounted on a 60kg spinning shell, with a maximum revolution speed of 2300rpm, giving 426kj of force! Terra-ble! And it€™s reasonably fast as well at 14mph! The shell is also very thick, it€™s 12mm of Titanium and 12mm of Hardox! Try getting into that!
Chris has had reasonable success so far, he in Booth #1 - hoping his Storm 2 clone can continue it - arming it with the pincers. Andrew hasn€™t done quite so well, but in Booth #2, can Giga-Byte change all that? Michael has been blasting through the competition, and Turbo Terra is going to be expected to do well, and Michael bets he will, as he looks down from Booth #3!

Giga-Byte now has to let go, but Cyclone Force is immediately on it, as Chris now that if it spins up, his machine will be destroyed. Giga-Byte touches the release button, and is watching Turbo Terra being pushed about the arena, finally towards the pit now, and Turbo Terra is on the edge, and€¦THUD! The terra is out!!

Cyclone Force 2.5 VS SNDOS
Giga-Byte VS Firestorm 5
Entered by Christopher Mason, Cyclone Force 2.5!!
Chris was fearful of losing in Round One by being destroyed by Turbo Terra, so rushed about, hitting anything it could, before Giga-Byte touched the pit release button, and Chris put Turbo Terra in.
Entered by Richard Southworth, SNDOS!!
In a thrilling Round One battle, SNDOS entered the ring with Firestorm 5 and Gravity. A series of rams and flips, disking and flipping, Gravity nearly through Firestorm out the arena, but SNDOS ripped the shell off and immobilized the wheels of Gravity.
Chris is getting ready to rumble with Cyclone Force€™s 30kg 3000rpm spinning disc. He€™s in Booth #1, eyeing up Richard in Booth #2.

Cyclone Force 2.5 once again is much faster, and is spinning the blade up to 3000rpm. SNDOS is much slower, but has the more powerful weapon, and he€™s also spun up to full speed. Cyclone Force charges, but the more controlled SNDOS dodges with the greatest of ease, and hits the side. A large 2 inch wide gap has opened in the side of Cyclone Force. Chris whacks Richard€™s robot on the side with the disc, but little damage is caused. SNDOS is now attacking the disc of Cyclone Force, and rams in with the blade, and the disc on SNDOS tears the teeth off Cyclone Force€™s disc! Chris now reverses onto SNDOS, but Richard also hits the rear with the disc! Chris is starting to get worried about what to do. He presses the pit release switch, and drives towards SNDOS. He rams the disc. Richard is now looking in utter amazement - his blade has stopped rotating! The wires have come loose! But Chris isn€™t moving. He€™s petrified - his robot isn€™t even twitching, and now, SNDOS becomes rammer-like, and charges Chris€™s robot into the pit!
Result:
Cyclone Force 2.5 is too strong for its own good!
SNDOS slices and dices into the Heat Final!
Entered by Andrew Jackson, Giga-Byte!!
Tried to pit Turbo Terra in Round One, but Cyclone Force shoved both of them about before Cyclone Force pitted the Terra.
Entered by Graham Bone, Firestorm 5!!
Got off to a shaky start in the first round, when it was almost flipped OOTA by Gravity and had its side ripped off by SNDOS, but it survived when it self-righted, stayed out of trouble, and SNDOS gutted Gravity.
In Round #1, Andrew is going to give it some Byte, and in Booth #2, Firestorm 5 will be burning with Graham at the controls.

Giga-Byte turns back to it and tries to shove it again, but Firestorm is under the rear of it, and is using the flipper arm into push it towards the bot shredders. Giga-Byte gets thrown upwards and Firestorm reverses in time to have Giga-Byte on its wedge, and pushes in onto the pit. He speeds off just fast enough to open the pit, but Giga-Byte has already got away! Firestorm is ready to give pursuit, but it stands in front of the pit and waits for Giga-Byte to charge inwards and pit it! Andrew does this, but he drives over the top, and dives into the pit!

SNDOS VS Firestorm 5
Entered by Richard Southworth, SNDOS!!
In Round One, a brutal battle resulted in Firestorm being almost flipped OOTA by Gravity, and SNDOS wrecking the side of Firestorm, and gutting Gravity, leaving it immobilized. In Round Two, Cyclone Force tried its best, and removed the teeth of SNDOS, but lost its safety link, and SNDOS ran it into the pit.
Entered by Graham Bone, Firestorm 5!!
Stared in that first round with SNDOS and Gravity, and got through that, despite having its panel ripped off the side. Giga-Byte is a fast and agile pusher, but not fast or agile enough, as Firestorm pitted it.
Richard is looking for his first semi-finalist and he€™s in Booth #1. Graham is hoping he can put his RW success into the E.O.T.R. And he€™s in Booth #2.

Round One
Entered by Andrew Jackson, The Nose 3.0!!
Don€™t stick your Nose in! This robot is built with a BioHazard lifting arm, only The Nose is invertible. It moves at 15mph using 2 LEM 130€™s at 36V! The armour is also incredibly thick - 3mm Aluminium, 5mm of Titanium armour - you need to get through that to damage this bot!
Entered by Dave Sheppard, PCC!!
Enter Dave Sheppard, with your first robot! Dave has built a version of Tornado, this is a fast rammer with interchangeable weapons. The armour is tough and has above average pushing power, and it can go at 30mph at full speed, although it can go at 18mph. The weapons include a750 psi flipper, an invertible inverter, a passive scoop, an anti-spinner scoop, a drum, a spinning bar and a set of ramming piercing spikes!
Entered by Alex Holt, Black Panther Queen!!
Let the Queen of the Black Panthers rise to her destiny! A pyramid shaped robot with the point cut off has 4 wheels working on a skid steer system powered by 2 750w motors at 36V. The rear of the robot is sprung down to give smaller ground clearance and more grip, which you need when you have a robot that can go at 24mph! The armour is Aluminium Boron Carbide at 5mm thick, and behind that is 2 inches of Titanium foam. The weapons are a high pressure flipper and an axe!
In Booth #1, Andrew is getting ready to stick his nose in! Dave is in Booth #2, and he€™s praying that with the 750psi flipper, PPC can WIN. And in Booth #3, Alex is going to make sure the Queen of the Panthers will reach its rightful throne.

Entered by Matt McDonald, No Close Shave 3!!
Anyone need a razor?! The third version of No Close Shave is an invertible 2 wheel drive hexagon with a pair of Hardox crushing claws on the front with an awesome crushing force. The armour is Vanadium and Titanium, each at 6mm thick. The motors get it up to 13mph!
Entered by Frank Goacher, The Disc 5!!
Enter the most evil and complete robot ever to come out of the mind of a coffee addict! A bell-bar-of-doom shape that everyone hates to love, this robot is HUGE! It has 6 wheels in a triangle formation, to give it stability and effectiveness. The robot moves at 10mph. The weapons on this bad-bot are a he 27kg disc with two teeth, this is connected two a spinning outer axle to warn off attackers!
Entered by Michael Cuomo, Zee Drum!!
Here comes the drum! A box shaped robot with rounded sides, and 8 wheels and strong armour, has the most lethal weapon - a 30kg drum with a top speed of 3000rpm! It moves at 25mph!

No Close Shave 3 VS Black Panther Queen
Entered by Frank Goacher, The Disc 5!!
In an unbelievably quick fight, The Disc 5 flicked Zee Drum out of the arena, whilst No Close Shave 3 didn€™t get the chance to do anything!
Entered by Dave Sheppard, PCC!!
Dave Sheppard used this robots versatility, speed and control in Round One, using the 750psi flipper to throw The Nose 3.0 over and let Black Panther Queen destroy it from the bottom upwards. It then threw Black Panther Queen out of the arena just after The Nose was deemed dead, so Black Panther Queen went through with it.

PPC is again off the fastest, and actually rams into the front of The Disc 5, which all other robots avoid doing. This is because The Disc€™s front bounces off the anti-spinner scoop, allowing its sides to be rammed and pushed across the arena at the 30mph top speed into the bot shredders, and The Disc bounces upwards, and hits the top of PCC. The damage caused is quite a lot - two scars and the panel is slightly removed. The Disc 5 tries to hit the side, but is unable to. PCC is now on the sides of The Disc, and ramming it towards the pit release button and it hits! The Disc 5 whacks PCC on the side, flipping it 360, but PCC is at its side, and is pushing it towards, and now into the pit!
Result:
The Disc 5 is beaten alive!
PPC pushes into the Heat Final!
Entered by Matt McDonald, No Close Shave 3!!
In Round One, in the fastest Fan-Fiction fight ever, Zee Drum was battered OOTA in record time, NCS 3 didn€™t even need to do anything!!
Entered by Alex Holt, Black Panther Queen!!
A horribly violent Round One saw PCC, Black Panther Queen and The Nose 3.0 tussle - and Black Panther Queen used its axe/flipper combo and the speed and of PCC to bury the hatchet into the workings of The Nose. Black Panther Queen got thrown OOTA during the countdown of The Nose, but survived long enough.

PCC VS Black Panther Queen
Entered by David Sheppard, PCC!!
The constantly good run of PCC has been the highlight of the heat. PCC has proved that basic can still be tough. The interchangeable weapons, speed and control meant it could beat The Nose 3.0 in Round One, after PPC flipped The Nose, and Black Panther Queen laid into the bottom of it. The Disc 5, famous for being hard to beat, was beaten via a pitting!
Entered by Alex Holt, Black Panther Queen!!
The Queen of the Black Panthers started badly when it was nearly seriously flipped by PCC with its flipper, but laid into the underbelly of The Nose 3.0, destroying the electrics. No Close Shave was a much easier victim where it flicked NCS 3 onto the camera tracks.
Dave - in Booth #1 - is only one step away from the semi-finals. Can PCC make it, using the invertible inverter? Alex - in Booth #2 - has only one extra chance to make a semi finalist, can the Black Panther Queen make it?

And they are off! The battle of the little speedsters has begun! PCC bashes into the front of the Queen, and a struggle begins to find the lower front. On the fourth swing, It gets the axe blade jammed into the workings, and raises the flipper! PCC has now become a robot of ridicule! But Black Panther Queen lets him drop now, and Dave wastes no time in pressing down the forward button! The traction of Black Panther Queen is keeping it from being completely pushed, and slams the axe in once more. Once again, the axe leaves the shell, but the welds on the side panels are broken! PCC is finally around the sides of Black Panther Queen, and slightly brakes the skirting, and lifts it, hoping to flip it. Black Panther Queen is battered into the side railing, and flipped up, but not out of the arena - actually behind PCC! Alex presses forwards, and presses the €˜FLIP!€™ button to send PCC onto the camera tracks! Despite the battering it received in Round One, Alex with Black Panther Queen had won the heat!

Entered by Michael Cuomo, Hyena!!
But will it be laughing with success? Hyena is an invertible box shaped robot, with spiked sides, 10 wheel drive and armour consisting of 5mm Hardox, 20mm Bomb Proof polycarbonate and 12mm Titanium! 3 1kw motors up at 36V to give 10hp, so it can push well, and it can run fast at 20mph. The wheels are coated in a layer of Vulkalon to provide extra grip on the surface of the arena! Its weapons are an axe that is designed to grip opponents, and it has an extension at the front to make it more like a jaw than an axe. This jaw is powered by 3 hydraulic rams at 3000psi! At the back is a flywheel mounted 2mm off the ground, weighing 15kg and spinning at 2500rpm, it€™s designed to rip off skirts!
Entered by David Sheppard, Flipping Mad RKAGG!!
You€™d be Flipping Mad to take on Flipping Mad RKAGG! A box with a scooped front to get underneath other robots, that has 6mm Titanium for armour, 2 750w Bosch motors at 36V powering it, armed with a flipper that is powerful enough to flip another robot OOTA with little difficulty!
Entered by Matt McDonald, Growling Storm 2.5!!
Prepare for the Storm coming in! Growling Storm 2.5 is an invertible wedge with two crushing jaws at the rear, armoured in 4mm Aircraft Grade 5 Titanium, with a Titanium strip to give it a lower front. 6 wheel drive and 12mph
Michael - In Booth #1 - is hoping Hyena will laugh through Round One. Dave - In Booth #2 - is going to be making its opponents Flipping Mad. And Matt - In Booth #3 - is going to growl at its enemies with Growling Storm 2.5!

Growling Storm is much slower at the front and pushes Dave€™s flipper right backwards into the arena side wall, but Hyena batters onto the rear of Growling Storm 2.5, and brakes the skirting, before CLAMPING WITH THE JAW!! Hyena drags Growling Storm 2.5 backwards, and Flipping Mad gets underneath Hyena€™s rear and flicks, but the disc on Hyena dents the flipper inwards. Growling Storm is let loose by the inverted Hyena, and shoves it into Flipping Mad. Flipping Mad flips Hyena back upright, so Hyena charges at it and brakes its skirting and clamps again, but jaw shattering the top of the Titanium shell! But what€™s happened? FLIPPING MAD IS ONLY MOVING ON ONE SIDE! The Titanium shell has fallen onto the wheels and a bit of it has gone into the drive train! The pit is opened, and Hyena clamps onto Flipping Mad again and charges it towards the pit, lets it go, but Growling Storm pits Flipping Mad.
Result:
Flipping Mad, is a rather nice lad, and he fights real bad!
Hyena and Growling Storm 2.5 laugh through Round One, and go through to Round Two!
Entered by Dave Weston, Sheer Hell!!
Prepare for Sheer Hell to brake loose! A box shaped robot, moving at 13mph, has 4 rubberex wheels. The fact it can€™t push much isn€™t unhelpful, as it has a front vertical disc and a rear horizontal disc, each spins around at 4500rpm, and delivers 75kj EACH!! The armour is tough as well - 8mm Titanium, it€™ll be hellish trying to break that!
Entered by Antony Politz, LK-47 Slapper!!
The aeroplanes are coming in!! A box shaped robot with a large plough in front of it, with a 0mm Ground Clearance front is armed with 2 12kg flywheels at the front spinning at 6000rpm! The armour is Titanium, and it€™s thick at 14mm!!
Entered by Gary Carins, Typhoon 2!!
The whirlwind success is back! A cone shaped robot, built by the Edinburgh air cadets, Typhoon 2 is fast at 18mph, and its spinning shell weighs 50kg, and rotates at 1200rpm, given 50kj of energy using its heavy steel outer-ring with 4 claw shaped hammer cutters! The shell is Titanium, and it has Titanium under that, and had Titanium under that! This robot did well in RW, winning series 7! Can it repeat that in E.O.T.R?
Dave Weston - In Booth #1 - is hoping to make life in the arena Sheer Hell for its opponents. Antony - In Booth #2 - is going to bomb the opposition with LK-47 Slapper! And Gary - In Booth #3 - is going to whip up not a typhoon 1, but a Typhoon 2!!

Typhoon 2 has spun up to speed now and bashes into LK-47, throwing it away, unscarred but it€™s still thrown away. Sheer Hell attacks Typhoon with the vertical spinning disc, and flicks it 2 inches above the ground but doesn€™t flip or damage it. LK-47 is now ramming Typhoon, stopping the spinner and pushing it so hard into the arena wall, it nearly flew over the arena wall, but the spinning shell saved it! Sheer Hell isn€™t moving very fast, and now Typhoon 2 clobbers the front vertical disc, and watches it spins around aimlessly towards the arena wall, and the discs touch the floor very gently, WHICH SENDS IT INTO A WHRILING DERVISH AGAIN!! The last we see of Sheer Hell, is it disappearing over the side wall!!

A thrilling gang-up on the ancient Flipping Mad resulted in a skirt being ripped off the sides of Flipping Mad, and the shell being brought down onto the wheels, and Growling Storm 2.5 pitting Flipping Mad!
Antony - In Booth #1 - is looking for his first heat final with LK-47! And Michael -In Booth #2 - is looking for his third semi-finalist with Hyena! Can he get through the bomber?
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Hyena€™s off the starting position! And he€™s charging straight at the sides of LK-47, avoiding the weaponry! Antony, who doesn€™t like being caught off guard, spins around to bring the rear to knock away the front jaw/axe mechanism of Hyena! Antony now brings the discs into play, and rams the front of it, and batters the spatula extension, rending it! Now using its power, Hyena charges LK-47 back into the side of the arena, and it hits the pit release button, before reversing away from it to gain momentum for a charge! Hyena charges in, but thanks to the buckled metal, it drives straight onto the wedge of its opponent. Hyena pushes it back again, but hits the discs whilst they are at their top speed, and although the armour is seriously thick, the polycarbonate is completely ripped off!! LK-47 now hits the side, flipping Hyena over and upside down! Michael knows he has a fight on his hands, and gets his controls mixed up, and he bashes the pit release button, and drives onto the descending pit!
Result:
Hyena laughs tears of sadness!
LK-47 Slapper goes through to the Heat Final!!
Heat Final
Typhoon 2 VS LK-47 Slapper
Entered by Gary Cairns, Typhoon 2!!
The S7 RW Champion has been destructively impressive, mostly in Round One, where it hit the sides of Sheer Hell and LK-47 Slapper, before sending Sheer Hell over the arena side! Growling Storm 2.5 was the next victim, when with just one hit, the chassis was sent crashing to the floor, leaving it immobile!
Entered by Antony Politz, LK-47 Slapper!!
LK-47 was in the first Round One with Typhoon, and despite taking and causing damage it got through with Typhoon when Sheer Hell went out! It battered Hyena in the second Round, after ripping the polycarbonate off it, Hyena then committed accidental suicide!!
Gary with Typhoon 2 - In Booth #1 - is only three 4 fights away from another trophy! And Antony with LK-47 - In Booth #2 - is hoping to pull off a shock!
Roboteers, stand by!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Both robots are unusually remaining still, to allow their spinners to spin up. LK-47€™s blades - although much faster - get up to spinning speed, and it charges! Typhoon spun up, and dodges away from the onslaught, and attacks the sides, but only damages to knock it away and cause dust to sprinkle off the side of it! Now Gary tries a rear attack on LK-47! Again no damage!! Antony, realising his advantage, charges full-on at Typhoon, flicking it up again, like in Round One, and backs off for another ram. Now, both robots charge into each other, and a huge spark shower is let off! Typhoon has lost a claw/hammer cutter, but LK-47 is upside-down!!! And Antony knows it has no self-righting device! The countdown starts!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦cease!!!!
Typhoon 2 charges in for two more attacks, but they do no damage!!
Result:
LK-47 is now Loser King-47!!
Typhoon is on the way for another title!!

Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
Heat K
Round One
Entered by Michael Cuomo, Schmax!!
Receive more than just a nasty smack from this boy! A box-shape robot with the front corner cut off to form an aero-dynamic ramming box, with 6 wheel drive, 12hp in his motors, 5mm Hardox armour, and for its weaponry, a 12kg punching ram, powered by 3000psi hydraulics! Try not being hurt by that!!
Entered by Richard Southworth, Agro 3.5!!
A therapist is going to be useless once you€™re encountering Agro 3.5!! An invertible wedge shape robot, with 17mph, 4 wheel drive, powered by 4 motors to give it more than just a small punch at 17mph! The armoury is 4mm Hardox and it has, at the rear, a 10kg flywheel, spinning at 3000rpm, with 2 blunted Titanium teeth, but the wedge has an extension on to kill any type of skirting on any type of robot!
Entered by Ed Wallace, Turbulence!!
Give uproar of applause - the RW reigning UK champion is in our mist!!! Turbulence on the outside looks kind of simple, following the motto of the army, K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Stupid). But inside, it is enormously powerful! The wheels are standard wheels, but they€™re foam filled to avoid the issue of puncturing. The armour on the sides is 4mm Hardox, and on the rear and on the flipper, its 10mm Titanium! The motors are 2 750w motors at 36V, giving 16mph top speed. And the flipper is full pressured, and it can lift way over a ton!
And now, Michael is in Booth #1, Rich is in Booth #2 and Ed is in Booth #3!!
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!!
Agro is the first of the starting grid, crashing into the front of Turbulence!!! Schmax comes in from the sides of Turbulence and tries to push it, but Agro is already running Turbulence into the arena side walls!!! The force was so hard that the reigning RW UK champion was slammed back, and its base panel hit the flywheel, ripping a crack into the base!! Schmax is now trying to get under the caesium of ground clearance on the sides of Agro 3.5, but Rich pushes his forward button, and hits the pit release switch! Turbulence now hits the disc on Agro, knocking it up, and flipping it over! Agro 3.5 grips the arena wall, and drives off, and crashes Schmax in the sides, denting in the 5mm Hardox shell! Turbulence seems to be stuck on the side wall. Schmax charges at the beached machine, but inadvertently knocks Turbulence loose from the side! Agro rams into the sides of Schmax, lifting it off the ground to allow Turbulence underneath, and with one more flip, Schmax is no longer existent in the ring.
Result:
Schmax is given the tax of failure!
Agro 3.5 and Turbulence bash and crash into the second round!!
Entered by Dave Weston, Jaws Of Hell!!
Another hell-ish creation! A Tornado shaped robot with 6 wheels and 2 LEM 130s to allow a velocity of 27mph, Jaws Of Hell has a thick shell AND an even harder weapon - a spike-like spear, which can pierce even Hardox thanks to the speed, and then it separates to rip the robot apart from the inside!! To find a way to beat this bad-bot, we need to put our selves together - before we get taken apart!
Entered by Steven McGregor, Chameleon!!
Everything€™s changing round here!! A simple box, with a reflective silver paint scheme, 12mph top speed, 4mm Titanium armour AND a series of changeable weaponry! There€™s the AFD (Anti-Flipper Device) the AAD (Anti-Axe Device) the AVD (Anti-Vertical Device) he AHD (Anti-Horizontal Device) the AWD (Anti-Wheel Device) the AFD (Anti-Fodder Device) the ACD (Anti-Crusher Device) the APD (Anti-Pusher Device) and finally the AOD (Anti-Obliteration Device)
Entered by Dave Sheppard, Quocunque Jeceris Stabit!!
Stabit, NOW!!! Dave€™s newest entry into the competition is a Chaos 2 shaped robot with a powerful flipper - despite it being low pressure - and a strong drive drive, rounded sides and rear to prevent stacking. The armour is 5mm aluminium, and it has 2 wheels to move it at 25mph!
Dave W is in Booth #1, ready to render some metal! Steven - In Booth #2 - has fitted the AFG (Anti-Flipper Device, consisting of a claw and scoop) onto Chameleon! And Dave - In Booth #3 - has recently had success in the previous heat, where it reach the heart final, can QJS repeat that?
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Jaws Of Hell is the quickest away, followed by QJS and then Chameleon. Jaws Of Hell charges into the front of QJS, but rides up and over the wedge, only for the Chaos 2 look-alike to turn about and flick it forward and onto its back! Chameleon rams QJS in the side, and pushes it across the arena and claws into the aluminium armour! It drags it back, and it pushes QJS into the pit release button, but has to release it€™s pray. Jaws Of Hell charges at Chameleon, turned to face the front spike on JOH! Jaws Of Hell drove up it again, and Chameleon grabbed, and pushed it towards the pit, and a nudge from QJS confirmed the fate of Jaws Of Hell!!
Result:
Jaws Of Hell tastes defeat!!!
Chameleon and Qunocunque Jeceris Stabit fade into impenetrable disguise and they win through to Round Two!!
Round Two line-up
Turbulence VS Chameleon
Agro 3.5 VS Qunocunque Jeceris Stabit
Entered by Ed Wallace, Turbulence!!
Despite some ramming in Round One from its opponents, and getting caught on the side, Turbulence had an easy way through Round One, where Agro 3.5 rammed Schmax hard enough into the arena side wall, to allow Turbulence in underneath to throw the rammer OOTA!
Entered by Steven McGregor, Chameleon!!
In Round One, this interchangeable box rammer battled Jaws Of Hell and Qunocunque Jeceris Stabit! There it used the AFG to grab and wreak QJS and pit Jaws Of Hell!!
Ed Wallace is in Booth #1, planning to have a flipping great time! And Steven, in Booth #2, for some weird reason, is putting on the ACD (Anti-Crusher Device) consisting of 8 30cm Hardox spikes!
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Turbulence, being slightly faster is off, and drives into the eye of the storm! Now we can see why Steve used the ACD - the spikes the long enough to prevent the steep wedge of Turbulence from breaking underneath the front completely!! Turbulence flips, but only succeeds in flicking it up, letting it drop and end up being pushed to the other end of the arena!! Chameleon backs off and Turbulence charges under the side skirts! And after Turbulence flips, it runs away, only for Chameleon to come powering back! Turbulence whips up a mad speed, and knocks the front of Chameleon away, before pushing into the skirts, but he was unable to break them, and Steve pressed backwards on his controls to pin Turbulence! The 30sec limit went by and Chameleon backed off, and Turbulence gave chase, and rammed into Chameleon€™s front! The spikes protect it again, but Turbulence finds power to flick it and trapped it in its flipper. Turbulence makes a charge for the bot shredders, and batters Chameleon into them, buckling the spikes! Steve cringes as his weaponry and survival tool is twisted out of shape. Turbulence backs off, but one of Chameleon€™s wheels touch the floor and pushes Turbulence back, and a rear Hardox panel is ripped off! Chameleon still continues to push Turbulence back before Turbulence flips and lets Chameleon go. Turbulence gives chase and rams the front, getting underneath and flipping! Steve puts his head in his hands, because the spikes have grounded him! Turbulence comes in for a ram, and an OOTA attempt, but the battle was over. The judges will decide who wins through.
Style
Turbulences ramming and flipping was much more stylish than Chameleon ramming. However, Chameleon was much more frequent, and so scores more
Turbulence: 8
Chameleon: 7
Control
Steve was very controlled with Chameleon, and used his interchangeable weaponry well. Turbulence was also very controlled but left itself open for attack a few times
Turbulence: 7
Chameleon: 8
Strategy
Chameleon had the most strategy with its interchangeable weapon program, and used the spike to avoid being turned over fully. Turbulence planned to flick Chameleon up, trap it under the flipper, and then ram it into the hazards. Chameleon was more frequent and successful.
Turbulence: 6
Chameleon: 9
Aggression
Chameleon was almost always on the attack, and it was good attacking. Turbulence was also frequently attacking, but its attacks weren€™t always good
Turbulence: 5
Chameleon: 10
Damage
Both robots sustained damage, but Chameleon caused more when the rear panel came off Turbulence. Turbulence hit the spikes with the bot-shredders, and caused damage to them, but spikes were passive, and less important.
Turbulence: 6
Chameleon: 9
Total:
Turbulence: 32
Chameleon: 43
Result:
The vote of the judges declare that Turbulence feels the force!
Chameleon goes through to the Heat Final!!!
Entered by Richard Southworth, Agro 3.5!!
Agro 3.5 and his vertical cutter cause some pain in Round One, as well as using traction and its wedge to good effect as well. It battered Turbulence, and pinned up Schmax for long enough for Turbulence to send it OOTA!
Entered by Dave Sheppard, Qunocunque Jeceris Stabit!!
In Round One, QJS suffers damage from Chameleon, but got through via luck and the pitting of Jaws Of Hell, courtesy of Chameleon.
Richard and Agro 3.5 in Booth #1 are the favourites for this fight, but can the Booth #2 inhabitants that are Dave and QJS pull off an upset?
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
And QJS is off the quickest at 25mph instead of the possible 17mph for Agro. QJS comes cautiously forward, and gets the flipper blade under the side of Agro, and gets in a quick flick of the flipper in. Agro now tries to get the rear spinning disc into the heart of QJS and rip out its heart. But instead, it manages to batter the flipper blade, ripping it off and making it harder to get underneath Agro 3.5, so Richard rams in again, and this time flips Dave€™s machine onto its head. Another attack leaves the flipper hanging onto the framework by its hinges! Dave cannot self-right, and Richard knows this, comes in for one more strike, for leaving Dave€™s machine to be counted out!!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦cease!!!
Result:
Qunocunque Jeceris Stabit is stabbed in the back!!
Agro 3.5 advances to the Heat Final!!
Heat Final
Chameleon VS Agro 3.5
Entered by Steven McGregor, Chameleon!!
Chameleon €˜chameleon€™ like feature has served it well this entire competition, starting by using the AFD to clamp and quieten Jaws Of Hell before running it into the pit. Next up, it used the Hardox spikes which made up its ACD against reigning RW Champion Turbulence, shoving it around to beat it on a 43-32 decision!
Entered by Richard Southworth, Agro 3.5!!
Richard and his cutting disc of doom has been doing really, really well. In Round One, it cut into Turbulence, as well as pushing it, before pinning Schmax long enough to allow Turbulence to perform its party trick OOTA. The aluminium shell of Qunocunque Jeceris Stabit was no match for the blade, as the flipper on QJS was disabled, and then flipped over, leaving it out for the count!
Steve has chosen the AVD (Anti-Vertical Device, a pair of claws that lock onto vertical discs) to battle the lethal disc from Booth #1. Richard Southworth isn€™t confident he can win, but he believes he can win from Booth #2.
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Agro and Chameleon leave the zone for another clash between Steve and Rich. The wedge on Agro 3.5 is turned to face the front of Chameleon, and easily gets underneath, and drives its opponent back at 17mph top speed into the bot shredders!!! The 4mm Titanium is no match for it! Agro 3.5 now uses its own disc to slice up the base of Chameleon€¦and Rich sees that he€™s just hit the drive chain!!! The drive chain that helps drive the right hand side of Steve€™s robot has been snapped! Agro 3.5 pushes it again into the side of the arena, almost flipping it over. The spinning disc is brought into play again, and batters the wheels, tearing the rubber! Steve is begging for Chameleon to die in peace, and Richard accepts it, as he€™s got the penultimate semi-final position!!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦case!!!
Result:
Chameleon goes white with fright, and red with embarrassment!!
Agro 3.5 goes through the heat, and into the semis!!

Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
Heat L (**Last Heat**)
Round One
Entered by Mike Lambert, Dantomkia!!
Named after the owner€™s three children, Daniel, Thomas and Kiera, Dantomkia is just as hard as them!! Hardox front now to defend against nasty spinners, and also at the front that everyone€™s avoiding is a full-pressure CO2 flipper that goes from closed-to-open in less that 25th of a second, generating 2-tonnes force at the top of the arm!!! The speed and agility is also excellent, 20mph and full-body spinner capability. Overall, a strong, interesting robot.
Entered by Richard Southworth, Battle Raptor 4!!
The fourth generation of the creature that roamed the land destroying all in its path! An invertible box-wedge completely armoured in 4mm Hardox with weigh-down holes drilled in. The paint-work is orange striped. On the front flipper, a raptors head is painted. The weaponry is a high-pressure flipper with an extension of 5cm to break skirts and other front extensions. It also has an axe with a broad-blade to dent anything up to Hardox. The hinges for the weapons are inside the robot to allow it to run inverted!
Entered by Steven Felk, Voltronic!!
Prepare for an electrifying performance! Voltronic is an invertible wedge shaped robot with a lifting arm that has 3 moveable spikes on end - whatever goes on there STAYS ON THERE!! It€™s not very exciting but it does its job, and the 2 wheel drive is able to hold its own and so will the tool steel shell at 6mm thick!!
For the last heat, the Booths are filled up with desperate contenders. In Booth #1 - Mike Lambert and Dantomkia. In Booth #2 is Richard and Battle Raptor. And in Booth #3 is Steven F and Voltronic!!
Roboteers, stand by!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!!
Dantomkia is first away! It heads off for Battle Raptor 4 - a wise idea? €˜No€™ is the answer as the extension on Rich€™s robot gets underneath Dantomkia and it flips the yellow peril over, only for it to self-right in elegant and effective style! Voltronic is looking to attack BR4, but it can€™t get past Dantomkia€™s front flipper. Dantomkia flips the American machine over in a double flip, before Voltronic is under it! Dantomkia is raised up and pushed into the bot shredders, and is flipped over before being pushed in there again and having part of its armour removed. It then escapes the lifter and bashes under the front wedge and flips it over, before shoving it to the edge of the arena. BR4 lays into the tyres with its axe weapon. With the tyres damaged, Voltronic is unable to continue. Dantomkia performs the last rites and pits it.
Result:
Voltronic puts in a shocking performance€¦and for the worst!
Dantomkia and Battle Raptor 4 go through to Round Two!!
Entered by Mark Lumb, Big Nipper!!
Prepare to be nipped in the bud. Big Nipper is a very well engineered box shaped robot with a pair of horizontal hydraulic crusher claws that lift up and down. The robots wheels are set up that there are 4 on top and 4 on the bottom, providing perfect control and stability. The armour is tough to crack as well with Titanium and Stainless Steel to get through. Big Nipper could do well.
Entered by Tony Somerfield, Bulldog Breed!!
This dog€™s bite is worst than its bark. A classic wedge shape robot with a full pressure CO2 flipper, Hardox and Titanium armour with 2 wheel drive to push and grip. The gas can last for 3 minutes and eliminates the problem of limited CO2!
Entered by Dave Sheppard, Son Of Wedgie!!
Son Of Wedgie has the power to do well. A powerful drive train despite only being 2 wheel driven, as well as hard Hardox and Titanium armour, and to top it all off, a powerful flipper to throw pesky robots OOTA!!
Mark is ready to rumble in Booth #1 and Tony is ready to tumble in Booth #2, while Dave is ready to eat a pie in Booth #3!
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
And first off is Bulldog Breed, having very high grip. Big Nipper attacks Dave€™s machine by opening the claws and gripping it in a bear grip, and shoving it into the pit release button. Big Nipper lets go, so the Son can flick it over, only to be pushed by the Bulldog. Big Nipper now grabs onto Bulldog Breed, and drags it backwards. Son Of Wedgie charges at Tony Somerfield€™s robot, and flips it over Big Nipper, who drives backwards to prevent Bulldog Breed from self-righting, until it reaches the arena wall. Bulldog Breed escapes from trouble using the flipper, and gets underneath SOW to flip and push it towards the pit, and SOW almost disappears from sight, but is saved by Big Nipper, who pushes and lifts Bulldog Breed to show the crowd. Bulldog Breed flips itself free and finally gets Dave€™s robot down the hole!
Result:
Son Of Wedgie is given a wedgie!
Big Nipper and Bulldog Breed advance onwards
Round Two line-up
Bulldog Breed VS Dantomkia
Big Nipper VS Battle Raptor 4
Entered by Tony Somerfield, Bulldog Breed!!
Round One was a tough one for the dog, who was pushed and lifted up by Big Nipper, but escaped to flip both Big Nipper around and Son Of Wedgie, eventually confining the Son to the pit
Entered by Mike Lambert, Dantomkia!!
Dantomkia had a good one where it and Battle Raptor laid into the tyres of Voltronic and flipped it into the pit, despite taking a bit of damage in the progress.
For the first all-realie clash, Tony will be in Booth #1. And Mike, he€™ll be in Booth #2!

Dantomkia is off, and so is the bulldog. Dantomkia has the lower front end and quickly bashes under the dog, and flips it over. Tony hits the flipper button to self-right, before driving away, and flipping Dantomkia over, and over, and over! Bulldog backs off to hit the pit release button, and flips Dantomkia near the pit, and shoves it in. Mike hits the flipper button, and sails up from the pit, and its wheels grip the edge to drag it back into the arena! Dantomkia shoots back to pin Bulldog against the wall for a short period before trying to flip it out, but Bulldog balances on the arena side wall, before tumbling back into the ring. Bulldog self-rights, breaks underneath Dantomkia, and shunts it into the pit!
Result:
Dantomkia confined to the pit!
Bulldog Breed bites onto the Postman delivering to the heat final!
Entered by Mark Lumb, Big Nipper!!
The box-shaped pusher/lifter performed brilliantly in Round One by lifting and slamming Bulldog Breed into the sides, before also causing Son Of Wedgie some pain, before the Bulldog drove Wedgie into the pit.
Entered by Richard Southworth, Battle Raptor 4!!
Also gave an impressive performance in Round One, where Dantomkia and Voltronic felt the force of Rich€™s weaponry, especially when it pierced the tyres on Voltronic, allowing Dantomkia to pit it.
The duo shake hands before entering the control pods. Mark in Booth #1 and Rich in Booth #2, ready to fight for the chance to fight for the last semi-final place.

Result:
Battle Raptor 4 shows us all why dinosaurs are extinct!
Big Nipper is through to the last heat final!
Heat Final
Bulldog Breed VS Big Nipper
Entered by Tony Somerfield, Bulldog Breed!!
Bulldog Breed has had a fairly rough ride, after being bashed and pushed by Big Nipper and Son Of Wedgie in Round One, at one point nearly pitted by Big Nipper, but escaped and dropped Son Of Wedgie into the pit. Dantomkia nearly flipped it OOTA after throwing Bulldog about in Round Two, but the dog bit back and also pitted Dantomkia!
Entered by Mark Lumb, Big Nipper!!
Big Nipper has been quiet and effective in pushing and lifting through the competition. In Round One it lifted up Bulldog Breed and showed it to the crowd, before Son Of Wedgie was pitted. An easy round two victim was Battle Raptor 4, pitting quickly.
The final semi-final is up for grabs! Would Tony in Booth #1 or Mark in Booth #2 who claims it?!

Both drivers press hard down on the forward buttons, and make a hard dash for the other robot. Big Nipper serves off course to bash under the sides of Bulldog, lifts it up, and uses the claws to tip it onto its back, before pushing the dog to the side of the arena. Bulldog Breed flips up to self-right, but its opponent grabs its belly, and drags it and bashes it into the arena wall. Big Nipper drags it again and hits the pit release button. Big Nipper releases the pit, and drops the dog, and allows it to self-right. Big Nipper rams head on and lifts Bulldog up, and rams it into the vertical bot shredders. Bulldog Breed is flipped and lands on the rear of Big Nipper, who reverses to the pit. Tony self-rights the dog, and spins around, getting under the front, and flipping it down the pit! Tony cheers having made the final semi-final position!

Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
I know no-one is probably going to notice this, but its the GRNAD FINALS!
The final 12 are about to be sliced down to make six.
But enough chatter!
LET THE FINALS BEGIN!!
Entered by Tony Somerfield, Winner of Heat L, Bulldog Breed!!
This dog€™s bite is worst than its bark. A classic wedge shape robot with a full pressure CO2 flipper, Hardox and Titanium armour with 2 wheel drive to push and grip. The gas can last for 3 minutes and eliminates the problem of limited CO2!
It met Big Nipper again in the Heat Final, and was pushed all over the shop, before flipping it down the pit.
Entered by Christopher Mason, Winner of Heat A, Y4!!
Y4 is the first contestant from underrated vapourboteer, Chris Mason. This robot is based on BattleBots season 5 Middleweight champion T-Minus, with exactly the same shape, only this is slightly faster at 20mph and has very, VERY tough titanium armour. Y4 could be the surprise of the competition.
Wedge Devolution was flipped into the bot shredders in the heat final, leaving immobilised and out and Y4 through!
For the winner of the fight, they go straight through to the grand final qualifiers. The loser goes to the junk yard! Tony and Chris prepare for the battle of their lives, certain victory or certain death. Wish will they get?
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Y4 is off, and Bulldog Breed comes to face the front of its opponent. Y4 has the slightly lower front blade, and gets underneath and flips the dog skywards. The dog self-rights and pushes into the rear-end of Y4, but can€™t flip it! Y4 grips the floor and pushes BB back slightly. BB reverses around Y4 and gets underneath the front of it. Y4 is pushed back, and flipped, but easily self-rights, over the Bulldog and then turns around, and flips it over, pushes it to the sidewall. A launch from the flipper sees BB fly onto the ground surrounding the arena.
Result:
Bulldog Breed is barking mad!!
Y4 wins into the next round!!
Entered by Ed Hoppit, Winner of Heat B, Storm 2!!
It€™s the second fastest in the finals 25mph, and it also has a very powerful lifting arm. Will the raging wind thunder through today€™s heats or will the raging wind become broken wind?
Storm 2 has been charging well through the contest. ForcePower Turbo was flipped about and beaten on a judges decision, Storm 2 went through with Shovearound 2. In Round Two, Clawdius Decimus Murderous would have been a worthy adversary, but the damage Leprosy Infection had caused to it in Round One made it light work, as Storm 2 made it look easy in out pushing, flipping and pitting it. Storm 2 ironically met Leprosy Infection in the Heat Final. The damage caused to it was unbelievable. But Storm 2 was aggressive enough to win on a Judge€™s decision 38-37!
Entered by Gary Carins, Winner of Heat J, Typhoon 2!!
The S7 RW Champion has been destructively impressive, mostly in Round One, where it hit the sides of Sheer Hell and LK-47 Slapper, before sending Sheer Hell over the arena side! Growling Storm 2.5 was the next victim, when with just one hit, the chassis was sent crashing to the floor, leaving it immobile! In the heat final, it was unable to do any damage to LK-47 Slapper, but hit it so hard it flip LK-47 over, and left it for dead!
This is more than just a semi-final fight - it€™s a GRUDGE MATCH!! These two met in the final of RW7. Storm 2 dominated the fight, before a panel came off in the final 8 seconds, and Typhoon 2 won by JD. Ed wants revenge!
Both the veteran drivers take their driving positions.

Storm 2 darts out like it did in Series 7 of RW. On first contact, the claws of Typhoon simply send Storm 2 spinning off into the distance. Typhoon is still running to spin up to 1200rpm. But Storm is faster and is chasing it down. And contact is again made€¦BANG!! Typhoon has caused a scar in the front of Storm. But Storm rams it a final time, and finally stops the spinner! Gary looks worried; he knows how weak his pushing power is compared to Storm 2. Ed swiftly delivers Typhoon to the pit release button. The pit descends; however Typhoon has gripped the top of Storm 2, and drives off. Gary Cairns hits the spin button, but it€™s only spinning at 500rpm and not 1200rpm! Storm 2 rams in, stopping the shell, and drives it into the top corner of the hexagonal arena, and it tips Typhoon 2 up!!! Storm 2 backs off, as Typhoon 2 tips onto its side!! Ed Hoppit backs off as he has his revenge, and the count begins!!

Typhoon 2 rotates away and out of competition!
Storm 2 goes onwards!
Entered by John Reid, Winner of Heat C, Terrorhurtz!!
The most terrifying realie is here to cause carnage! A tetrahedron Lexan built robot, with a stainless steel front scoop has an axe with a broad-blade, not for piercing, but for whacking! The robot is fast as well at 16mph and is aggressive.
Terrorhurtz has quietly but effectively moved through this tournament with ease, first by causing huge damage to The Axe Attaxe, then pitting Axe-O-Lotl, and in round two, Hell Machine went straight to heaven as it was beaten. The Axe Attaxe was then pitted to make Terrorhurtz claim the next place!
Entered by Steven McGregor, Winner of Heat E, Whirligig 4.0!!
Whirligig 4.0 started the run through the competition by battering the shell on MORD2, and then shredded the tyres on Die Ceratops ReInvertus. It met its old nemesis, Wedga Revo, and then battered it to death. MORD2 was the heat final opponent, and Whirligig ripped the batteries out to claim another semi-final place!!
John and Steve step up to their Booths. Steven has sharpened the teeth on the robot€¦and his as he€™s going to celebrate at a scary costume party. And John is going the same way - he€™s a creepy old inventor.

Terrorhurtz charges towards the monster that is Whirligig, and Whirligig slowly turns but quickly spins the shell. Terrorhurtz makes it too late and a slash in the 6mm Stainless Steel scoop shows the power of the Whirl. Whirligig moves away, Terrorhurtz is quicker though, and hits the spinner, bounces it into the sidewall, but inadvertently, Steven€™s machine bounces into Terrorhurtz! The front scoop at the right is hanging limply on, and Whirligig gets around the rear, and batters the back of Terrorhurtz. But Whirligig bounces away again, and Terrorhurtz turns around, and bounces it into the arena walls! And WHIRLIGIG IS STUCK THERE!!! Steven pushes the controls in all sorts of directions, but he isn€™t getting out! Terrorhurtz rams in, and gets underneath, and starts to batter the Titanium armour of Whirligig but is only scratching it. But now, it starts to pummel the pads, and Whirligig€™s pads are being broken inwards and destroyed the pad on the left! It starts on the right, as the count begins for the shocking defeat of the FBS!!

Result:
Whirligig 4.0 shockingly whirls out of the competition!
Terrorhurtz bangs into the next round!
Entered by Steven McGregor, Winner of Heat G, Killotine: EVO!!
Tornado whipped up a storm against Killotine in the heat final, pushing it about, but eventually was confined to the pit as well.
Entered by Richard Southworth, Winner of Heat K, Agro 3.5!!
Chameleon put up a good fight but then succumbed to Agro€™s disc. Richard was in the semis!
Both Richard and Steve have taken on and defeated one of each others robots. Will Richard avenge Drilla Killa or will Steven avenge Chameleon? The two laugh as they shake hands. The supporters cheer for them, as they enter their Booths.

Richard and Steve power their machines off the starting block, and they make a big bang on contact. Despite having the lower front, it has the less powerful Agro who is ploughed under and shoved back several metres. Agro runs backwards to avoid being shoved anymore, but Killotine gets around the sides and buries the axe into the Hardox top to drag it. But Killotine€™s axe loosens its grip and now Richard turns around to hammer the front of Killotine with its disc weapon and then spin to push it backwards. Killotine slams into the pit release button, but drives away to avoid the disc on Agro, and bring the axe down into the armour of Agro 3.5. Agro tugs away and Killotine pushes it towards the pit, and finally, Agro 3.5 tumbles onto the edge of the pit, and drives away in the nick of time. Killotine chases, and comes into the front of Agro, who gets underneath this time, but can only push Killotine: EVO in a straight line into the arena wall. Now Agro backs off, and Killotine charges in, getting underneath again before clamping with the axe and pushing it towards the pit, before the final fall.
Result:
Agro 3.5 is calmed!
Killotine: EVO is the next robot into the next round!!
Entered by Michael Cuomo, Winner of Heat C, Crusher C.U!!
Orka faced it in the heat final, and Crusher C.U pitted it after pushing it about.
Entered by Michael Cuomo, Winner of Heat F, Flux!!
In Round One, Mega Masher 2 was mashed by Flux ramming it about too much. Flux went through with Tails, and even gave Tails a few slams. Snakebite IV was shoved about completely then was rammed so hard that it flew through the air and landed in the pit! It met SOR 4 in the decider of its heat, and rammed it about as well to gain yet another place in the next Round.
Michael is getting his friend, whose name is a mystery, to drive Flux for him. They walk up to the Booths to gain the next place in the final 6.

Flux drives away like a lethal bullet and crashes straight into the front of Crusher, and rides up the wedge of its nemesis. Crusher C.U suckers down its opponent and shoves it into the pit release button, before letting it go, allowing it to speed off. Flux rams in again, and this time hits the side, allowing it to bash it into the walls, making it leap upwards, and come down with a bang. Crusher C.U breaks the skirts again, this succeeding in partly crushing the armour, and ramming it into the arena side walls before bashing it into the pit edge, and then down it.
Result:
Flux is beat!
Crusher C.U wins into the next round!
Entered by Richard Southworth, Winner of Heat H, SNDOS!!
Firestorm put up a decent fight, but lost its aluminium flipper which acts as self-righting mechanism before it was flipped was SNDOS.
Entered by Alex Holt, Winner of Heat I, Black Panther Queen!!
The Queen of the Black Panthers started badly when it was nearly seriously flipped by PCC with its flipper, but laid into the underbelly of The Nose 3.0, destroying the electrics. No Close Shave was a much easier victim where it flicked NCS 3 onto the camera tracks. PCC used its invertible lifting arm to push and push, but it only broke the skirting of BPQ once, and this meant that PCC could join the rest of the army on the camera tracks.
With the final place in the next Round up for grabs, Alex and Richard step up with their controls at the ready. They shake hands, acting like the good mates they are€¦before stepping up to their Booths to beat each others robot to parts small enough to go through a paper shredder!
Roboteers, stand by!!!

BPQ quickly accelerated off the starting grid, as it is 11mph quicker. But Alex stops short of SNDOS, being wary of that disc. SNDOS charges, and the 5mm Aluminium Boron Carbide is completely shredded! A little flick from Alex€™s controls puts his only machine left competing into reverse, and easily outruns SNDOS! SNDOS pursues, but then Alex rams into the spinning vertical flywheel with the intention to stop it from revving, and slams down the axe onto the shell, causing a slight scratch on the Hardox. However that scratch was enough to give BPQ grip on the robot and enough grip to push it backwards into the side wall. The axe is loosened, and SNDOS is spun around by the controls of Richard, AND HITS THE SIDE OF BLACK PANTHER QUEEN WITH THE FLYWHEEL!! The black machine is flipped onto its back but quickly self-rights and drives off, being much faster, and drives back, getting underneath the Richard Southworth controlled robot. Now Mr Southworth charges at BPQ and rips a panel into quarters, before pushing into another panel, this time on the side! Alex now turns around and pushes SNDOS back, and slams with the axe and flips with the flipper! Showing SNDOS to the audience like it did to No Close Shave 3 and PPC in the heat! Now it drives over and hits the pit release button, and lets SNDOS go, letting it plummet to its doom!
SNDOS feels the fall!
Black Panther Queen moves one step further to claiming its rightful crown! AKA - it goes through.
Final 6 DRAW:
Y4 VS Storm 2 VS Terrorhurtz
Killotine: EVO VS Crusher C.U VS Black Panther Queen
-
Eye Of The Robot - Series 1
Im now going to do the final 6 battles, to try and quickly round off.
We know who the robots are, so let view their progress.
Y4 was entered by Christopher Mason, who was the underdog of the heat it was in - Heat A. In the first round it met the famous Wedge Devolution and potentially lethal Flipping Hell. Chris used super planning and precision to get a good flip on Flipping Hell. Flipping Hell easily self-righted, but broke its drive chains in the process. Y4 shocked the audience when it was flipped and pushed around by Achilles, but then wedged against the side wall before performing an OOTA. A similar situation in the heat final with Wedge Devolution and then an OOTA. No shock in the semis where it flicked Bulldog Breed about, and then an OOTA.
Storm 2, entered by Ed Hoppit is the most successful real robot still left fighting, with the New Blood and 3rd World Championship under its belt, but it also came second in the 7th UK championship (Even though it was robbed). In a ram-fested Round One, it was Storm 2, ForcePower Turbo and Shovearound 2! Storm 2 had enough aggression and strategy to win through with Shovearound, on a 38-25-13! Clawdius Decimus Murderous had sustained too much damage from Round One and was easily pitted. In the heat final Leprosy Infection caused serious damage to Storm 2, but Storm used aggressive tactics to win the 38-37 decision. Typhoon 2 robbed Storm in Robot Wars 7, the Storm got revenge when it tipped over Typhoon and left it on its side to show everyone the risk of a non-existent self-righter!
Entered by John Reid, Terrorhurtz is a robot with thick Lexan and Steel armour, 16mph top speed from two motors, but most of all, an axe with a thick steel head, hitting with 900kg of force! In Round One, the said power of the axe proved even better than the result sheet, as it wrecked The Axe Attaxe and Axe-O-Lotl. It pitted Axe-O-Lotl and went through with The Axe Attaxe, before destroying Hell Machine and The Axe Attaxe again in the other heat rounds. Then an enormous surprise when Whirligig 4.0 sliced at it, chopping up the armour of Terrorhurtz, before Terrorhurtz hooked it onto the sidewall and then pounded the shuffling pads. Terrorhurtz survived and went through.
Christopher, Ed and John take up their control posts, before entering their Booths and waving to the crowd.
Roboteers, stand by!!
They observe the chequered flag. And they watch it change both red to yellow to green.

The robots are pushed into full throttle, with Storm 2 pulling away quickest. Storm 2 dodged between Terrorhurtz and Y4, and allowing Terrorhurtz to clamp down with the axe and pound it more. Y4 flips the lethal axing robot away, and turns into Storm 2. Having slightly the lower front edge, Y4 throws Storm onto his back. Terrorhurtz comes in to bury the axe into the bottom of the scoop of Storm 2 - this was a bad move though, because Storm 2 has the more grip and the more traction to drive Terrorhurtz back into the arena wall. The power of the slam was enough to bring the axe back up and brake loose. Storm 2 has righted from it, and charges into the front of Y4 again, however this time Storm uses the power drive tactic of driving forward then stooping to drive your wedge further into the ground. Chris hasn€™t seen around this tactic, and flips too late and Y4 ends up upended, Storm 2 pushes it slowly towards the pit, positions it on top, releases it, and then shoves it down into the abyss, ending Chris€™ dream. With the three way battle own turned into a one-on-one, Terrorhurtz now plans to get through, and excitedly shoves at its 16mph top speed and pounds the Titanium top of Storm 2. Storm 2 reverses away from the axe, and then powers underneath Terrorhurtz€™s front, and uses the lifting arm to flip it over. Storm 2 now drives the inverted Terrorhurtz towards the sidewall. Speed gaining up, and then a clash and a crash of sparks. Terrorhurtz flies upwards and flips Terrorhurtz up and over the wall. Storm 2 reverses into the centre of the arena and spins in Victory!
Result:
Y4 is ex-ter-min-8-ed!
Terrorhurtz feels the Hurtz!
Storm 2 goes through to the GRAND FINAL!!
Killotine: EVO VS Crusher C.U VS Black Panther Queen
Killotine: EVO is entered by Steven McGregor is a powerful Storm 2 like box armoured in Hardox and armed with an axe. In the heat it has pounded Obliteration, Drilla Killa 7 and Tornado, all via KO. In the next Round it took on Agro 3.5, and got pushed about and battered but pushed and battered it and finally took on Agro to the pit.
Entered by Michael Cuomo is Crusher C.U, one of the most dominating robots so far. In its heat, once Flaming Hell€™s cage was shattered, Crusher persisted in clawing it until Dave tapped out. Psyclonised is a demonic contraption, and very deadly, but Crusher got around the framework and crushed and pitted it before doing the same to Orka in the heat final and Flux in the semis.
Entered by Alex Holt is Black Panther Queen. The black panther royal ruler started poorly, when it buried the axe into The Nose 3.0, but then PPC tossed it out the ring just after cease was called. It redeemed itself in the rest of the heat by OOTAing No Close Shave and then getting revenge on PCC. In the semis, in one of the best battle I€™ve ever written took place between Black Panther Queen and SNDOS, where Black Panther Queen took some damage and did some flipping and axing, so it was close before the panther pitted SNDOS.
Once again, Steven, Michael and Alex walk up to their control Booths, wave as the crowed cheer on their favourites and jeer at their least favourites

The final knockout battle begins, and BPQ charges up to Crusher, getting the flipper spatula underneath and turning it upside down. Killotine now batters in and hammers onto the underside of Crusher. Black Panther Queen joints in on the attack, possibly in a gang-up style. Crusher tires to reverse away, but he is quickly pushed and shoved into the arena wall. Black Panther Queen locks onto Crusher with the axe, but Killotine: EVO gets under the rear and all the wheels off the ground, axing the shell, and dragging the joint over to the pit, pressing the button, and dropping the joint in!
Result:
Crusher C.U stands for Crusher Completely Useless!
Black Panther Queen is dethroned

Everyone flies off, and all the robots charge into Crusher C.U! Y4 gets underneath and sends it OOTA! Michael puts his head in his hands as he gets 6th place! Now it€™s a battle down to three robots, and Terrorhurtz thrusts into the side of Black Panther Queen. Immediately the axe starts pounding through the shell, damage being caused all the time. Y4 sneaks around Terrorhurtz€™s rear, and flicks it over the top of the Panther. Y4, arguably the most impressive machine in the playoff comes in again for another ram onto the Panther, and Terrorhurtz strikes an axe-blow onto Y4€™s tyres, leaving bobbling slightly. Terrorhurtz hits the pit button, and shoves the Panther towards it. Alex sees his machine isn€™t moving, and lowers the controls. Y4 suddenly charges in and flips Terrorhurtz over the Panther, AND DOWN THE PIT!! And then, it does what Terrorhurtz planned on doing, and pits the Panther.
Result:
Crusher C.U OOTAed into 6TH place!
Terrorhurtz pitted and claims 5TH place!
Black Panther Queen pounded and pitted into 4TH place!

The two great machines burst into life! Storm 2 has the greater speed, and smashes into the front of Killotine, ramming it back to the starting square and sending a series of sparks flying. It then drives onto its opponent€™s sides, and then starts to torque the wheels, and driving Killotine into the sidewall. Now it€™s around the rear of it and drives it into the wall again, as Steve mops his brow - he€™s struggling to get into a position to do anything to Storm 2, at the final stage. Storm 2 powers again, but Killotine now gets underneath the front, and starts to beat with the axe, and is piercing the shell. Steve locks onto Storm 2 and drives it into the pit release switch, and lets it go to back off. Storm 2 pursues it towards the side, as Killotine reverses. Killotine hits the wall as Storm 2 breaks the skirting, and lifts up with the lifting arm, and drives it into the side. Storm 2 uses the arm to turn Killotine: EVO upside down, and brace it on the arm. Storm 2 drives it towards the pit, but the axe of Killotine pushes itself up with the axe and speeds off. It ends up side on to Storm 2, and powers forwards, getting under and then axing it. Killotine starts to axe Storm 2 in the lifting arm, leaving it disabled. The axe is withdrawn, but then quickly shifts to get on the front left side, and axes in the drive train housing, and hits a drive chain!! Killotine reverses away from Storm 2, watching it spin on the spot. The audience is given the cue to count down!
