Unfortunatley after trying to point out an issue i had, i feel i have been let down badly and made to feel the person in the wrong and a liar, its with regret that i have decided to leave the forum and wish you all the best for the future, could the fra please note that my profile is no longer required and could it be deleted with immediate effect. thanks

We all have these problems (i have had a fair few!). But we still go on, there are many good people in this hobby, and some bad, but you will find that it most hobbys. From what i have seen and heard from the thread that was on the forum i cant understand how you could be made out to be the bad guy. Keep on going.

Echo Woody. Plus a bit of confusion into the mix too, what Dave said is what comes to mind but also that whoever/whatever drove you to this goes unremarked.
i think everyone knows whats happened and whos done it or has an idea who has, and its happened to 2 ppl cant you just name and shame its not my right to do so, therefore i wont, but in future to warn others, as like ed this has angered me greatly, despite not knowing you at all. Another thing consider legal action if you dont recieve your money back, this maybe to far but thats what id do
All I will say is that it has sort of set off a paranoia for some people.
talking off the subject i saw a stoned kid today who was shouting at me cos aparently i followed him lol now thats paranoia

As Dave Young said, from that thread it hardly seems to me like you are the bad guy - it is sad though that as a result of advising against certain companies to go to for robot-building, you feel the need to resign from the forum. I never really introduced myself to you at Wales but you seemed like a nice guy, it is a shame this has happened.
Obviously its up to you whether youre gonna take up Dave Langs invitation: if you do Im sure youll have a blast; if not, all the best for the future Adrian :)
thanks for all your comments, unfortunately i have been contacted privately by the fra, and items said in an email i found disapointing and unfair IN MY PERSONAL OPINION. i do not tell lies and After the conversation i feel that my time on the forum has come to a close. cya guys.
i would have been really up for the exeter event as thats where i come from, but unfortunately cant do it on those dates, thanks though, cheers guys

Im not surprised to see that happen, its all quite ridiculous in the end as can be seen in this circumstance. Best wishes for any other hobby endeavors you go for Adrian. Again a great shame.

Youre right. whats going on here? Its bad enough what happened here, but deleting the thread so no will know something did happen is even worse.

I dont think its roboteering thats in dis-repute at all (and frankly how many members of the public read whats on the forum anyway) its more likely the one person involved here that perhaps justifiably could be bought into disrepute - is it the FRAs role to protect against that?
I dont know what happened and Im on the FRA management committee!
i do not believe i bought roboteering into dispute, people need to be made aware to choose carefully when requesting a robot to be built, i am not the only one this has happened to. At the end of the day no names were mentioned whatsoever and i never made plans to. All i ADVISED was take care when going down this route and get references from preivous customers, as myself and others have been stung by the same company, and to basically be called a liar via email by a member of the fra is unjustified, and they have the opportunity to tell me personally the facts on which i can be called this at my next event, ive got no more to say.

Given the activity in the other sections of the forum, I guess the problems are now solved or at least handled satisfactory?
unfortunately leo at the present time i am unable to make a comment, it is best to be left in the hands of the fra, lets just say what goes around comes around.
Ummm what happened it must have been something really serious for a well-liked person to resign from the forum so to speak but I dont have a clue what happened so Ill just say if you wanna resign then resign but wait for a few weeks to see the posts then wonder if you should come back or keep your promise.
