just looked at ur set up its pretty similar to the idea i had lol any chance you can tell me wat sprockets you used and how u got the sprocket onto the gear?
-

That was my first attempt I now use a 12 tooth sprocket on the motor and a 50 tooth sprocket on the axe. It is alot better at tacking the shock when the axe hits something.the chain is 8mm

If you fancy buying a new screw then you can drill out the screw with a regular drill bit (i believe a 4mm is best). Eventually the bit catches on the screw and as it is left hand, merely spins it out leaving you with an intact left hand thread inside.

85 quid aint that cheap lol, woody suggested the bang bang system, i used to use this but is it still allowed as im not sure it would fail safe

try get 2nd hand ones, try james he might have some. i remember he did a few weeks back but no idea what they were, might have been too small for what you need.

Stick a couple of failsafes (FS1, mtroniks etc) in between the servo and receiver, program them so that they failsafe with the servo touching neither switch, and ba-da-bing ba-da-boom, you got yourself a bang bang system that failsafes

bit more money but more AH

Actually that second one is cheaper as well as having more Ah
Its got a higher postage certainly but since the price of the battery is not as much as the 2.1Ah one, it works out cheaper overall for the higher capacity battery

-

oh quick question has anyone got a spare servo for a skysports? if ya have gimmie a price gonna run my axe on the crude bang bang system

Id be cautious of buying batteries from like these they will only casue problems, better to pay the extra few quid and get a known good one. cpc.co.uk do some good priced lead acid batteries that you be sure are in date.
The second one looks dodgy as a 12V battery that only reads 12V when not under load is nakered. The first is from a sercurity firm so even they claim its new the chances are its old stock and Pb batteries only have a limited shelf life.
Stock number BT00101 from CPC is £15.86 including VAT, same type as the first and if you spend over £40 delevery is free. Both Farnell and RS do the same battery and you can check what the postage costs are. Not sure but farnell used to do free delivery without minimum orders but this might have changed.

Ant, Ive got several similar SLAs 12V 2.8Ah or whatever they are. Old but you can have them if you want, not going to post them however but I will bring them to the next event.
