Hi all

For those who haven€™t seen or heard we€™ve launched our next event announced 3 weeks ago on our website and building on the success of the last two events.

Event Location:

Event Times:
Show 1: Sat 1st: 6pm
Show 2: Sun 2nd: 12pm
Show 3: Sun 2nd: 3pm

Once again we will be offering expenses and food (subject to ticket sales) and there will be yet more improvements to the arena and show experience.

Odo, Mantis, Centio (refbot), No6 (wheelie bin!), an improved Skink and the new Pressure mk4 will be there.

skink is the xfm champion, why improve on perfection? :)

Your very kind Leo but Skinks steering is still slow to respond and it wastes large amounts of gas, self righting could be better too.
Im just going to tinker with a few bits, it will still look the same.

Hanibalito I and II will look totaly different there...

Better responce on the stick, armored belly, and a few other details I find annoying... Like flipperarms that dont stay flat on the ground

wont be there, its the nearest event to me but its on my birthday so not a chance of me being aable to walk that night let alone drive a robot

There is another Travel inn closer to the venue but it costs more :)

There is also a large restaurant on the side of it, that might be a nice place to go to after the event on Sat night.

Tony: I may take you up on that, Ill of been camping for 4 days prior to this event, I could do with a proper bed. How much ?

Is it ok if we bring Cutlet 540 and 4 baa 4 instead of shockwave and splash?

Splash is in bits again and I will be borrowing the speed controllers and reciever from shockwave to put in Cutlet until i can order some more.

Whirlpool will still be coming so that we can get revenge on Skink for beating us at Exeter :)

Just another quick update.

On another note, were looking at arranging abit of a social on the Saturday night as the restaurant in the Hotel isn€™t very big. There is a bowling alley close to the venue, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and fast food places. The price we€™ve been given for the bowling is (per game); Adult £4, Children £3.15, anybody interested, let us know, I€™m aware of a few teams already wanting to go, gives us all a chance to unwind and show off your bowling €˜skills€™!

As Small Torque has been lent out to Roaming Robots for their Haven Park tours it will now not be at this event or at the UK Champs. Also due to Jenny & Geoffs house move, Pillow Torques rebuild has been put on the back burner for the time being.

Normal service should be resumed by September so will be seeing you at your next event.

Note, there are at least 4 speed cameras between the M1 and the sports centre... All 40 limits.

Also to note, its easiest to go anti-clockwise around the magic roundabout from this direction.

Those travelling clock-wise on the M25, take J20, then A41 to Hemel Hempstead Exit.
Continue straight until the magic roundabout. Turn left onto A4146 (left then left).
Keep in the left lane then take the next right (before the church on your right) onto St. Johns Road.
Take your second turning on the right onto Heath Lane.
You are now passing the sports centre.

Booked the bowling, 37 of us in total bowling, should be a fun night out!

Yet another brilliant event with some great fights today.

Well done to Skink and Pressure for winning both feathers and heavys. I loved the way that Pressure jumped over the pit in the final!!
