As did I, to all three of my email addresses (including five to one!). I commend the email collection software you must be using :)
Guy to ask must be Ed, but theres no harm in doing a little research is there.
Yup, me too - three to one address and one to the other :)
Wondered if it was some kinda hoax thing first though as the actual email only had the link, and nothing else, but it was fine in the end :lame:
Same here. 3 invitations. :)
2 to mine..
Wah! ...I only got the one!
I feel snubbed ...
6
I got 2 on mine
i got 2, thought it might be a virus or somthing seeing as there is little point to it.
I got 6, but that was because I somehow managed to sign up with more than 1 of my email addresses.
i dont mind a little research just wondered what point the research was for?
Yeah, ditto. I only got one and it went in my junk automatically, good thing I checked
so care to fill us in Mr Hoppit ?
Questions indicated toi me that ed might be trying to do us all a little favour? seeing as they were all directly related to robot wars and whether there is still demand for it that maybe hes trying to get it back? If so Best of luck ed!
Was thinking along similar lines myself
Survey was nothing more than us asking a company to carry out some research for us.
Apologies for any duplicates, down to multiple lists used and people having different email addresses.

Got 5.
Thought it was a very basic survey. Could of done with a few more questions to make it worthwhile.
Was I the only person with whom all the text except the link was white on white... so it looked like spam?
Feedback to the company Ed, no criticism implied:
I got 3 emails to the same email address. And only the link, no other text visible, which led me to believe it was spam or worse. There was only a disclaimer typed in light-grey at the bottom for an opt-out and the address but thats all. I use Incredimail as email program, html settings active. Only after reading the forum and by selecting all space on the email did I see the text.

Yes there was a formatting error on the mail that went out which a conversation has already been had about, however to date weve had well over 500 responses from unique email addresses to date so it doesnt appear to have caused too much of a problem so far !
Thanks everyone whos responded to date !

Jeez .... Mainly just Ex and existing Roboteers polled?

The reason they are unique is quite simply the other links in the other 2 messages dont work once you filled in the first one.
I also doublechecked and all 3 emails went to the same address.
Stil, a nice initiative. Would love to hear what comes out of it.
Ive got 6 so far all to the same address, you would have thought that a company like that would have at least removed multiple addresses from the mailing list.
i filled the survey out, but just now i got a reminder? saying i hadnt filled it in, and when i clicked the link the survey wasnt active
can anyone shed light on this?
thanks alex
i had the same also. But i filled it in again just incase they didnt receive it for some reason.
well it wouldnt let me fill it in, it was unactive so just left it..
Same here as well.
Same here.
Are we just going to Spam the whole Robot community then? I dont remember signing one of my email address up to Robot related stuff and yet i still getting 6 or so emails sent to it. So then I went to fill it in so I wont get any reminders, and it wont work and still getting emails. Makes a change for all the Viagra spam emails, but still it€™s got annoying now.
Mr Stu
Over-efficient survey company with an over-active trigger finger ;)
Over 1000 respondants to date which is way more than we hoped for, and as this costs us £££ for each response we decided to call time on it. Already more successful than we hoped and has given us a good understanding as to the state of roboteering our there in the UK.
Thanks to all who took the time to respond - and apologies for any annoyance caused !

Glad im not the only one getting Viagra emails Stu!! Everyone at our company gets about 3-4 per day and IT havent got a clue how to stop it
HA HA!!
Spam is easy to remove. You just need to spend some money...
not really seeing the point in survaying just to get over 1000 responses, seems pointless for such a low scale survay
3-4 a day? try 64000 a day in our company. but we trap 99% of our spam.
Thats the problem Kane. They dont want to spend the money!
I only get 3-4. Some get a lot lot more
Yeah i only get the 3 or 4 a day, and even then my spam filter tags them as spam and puts them right into my Deleted Items folder in outlook, same place where this Survey went.
I remember the day when you didnt have any spam, and you were happy to get the odd spam, just something to read. LOL. Now its like if you dont check your email often, come a week your downloading 50 messages of spam.
Mr Stu
In my hotmail I have activated a filter and i get none
I get 100 plus per day ... most are caught by my servers spam filter ...and only 4 got through to the INBOX today.
The biggest pain is the spam filter taking out legitimate emails....so I scan thru the Junk bin every day.
If you think getting viagra adverts are bad, wait until you start getting breast enlargement ones. I do not want bigger man-boobs, thank you very much:lame:
LOL :proud:
I get about 20 spam emails a day on average to both my yahoo & gmail accounts. 95% of the time the spam filters work, although a non-spam mail does slip into the spam folder and vice-versa.
Good survey.
The best one ive seen so far was an add for non-odorous underpants. :)
