13th May 2007 Roaming Robots - Aylesbury
Aylesbury Town Centre will once again be taken over by Roaming Robots.
Again, the heavyweights, and Featherweights will take centre stage in the 7.5m x 5m version of the RR Heavyweight Arena.

36v, new scoop and transfer bearings on the front, over to hawkers and a complete re-wired Envy will be here too. :) :)

it was the most enjoyable fight i have had in ages. i can see a bit of grudge forming from this. still its all in good fun. :)

Bring it On!!! My dads been working on Dantomkia all day. :lol: we are 1-0 up already and i intend to make it 2-0 :lol: so bring it on and good luck.
it will probably be 10-0 before i win against dtk and that will be a breakdown or something go wrong with it. anyway i will bring it on alright :)

The event starts at 11am, and runs until 4pm.
A niced relaxed event with as much time in the arena as you need to get your robot tested and refined without the normall pressure of a full on event.
Info will follow to teams on thursday most probably.

jonno can you make sure you have a sledge hammer on board to re-shape envy. i am doing a re-build after this event ready for northampton event. although i have to book of work for northampton now cos i thought the event was a sunday might not be able to attend. should be ok tho cos i need to thrash dtk with new improved NV :)
oh and if anyone is going who has some hardox for sale can you please bring it along. i need some cheap hardox. go-on you know you want to bring it. no good sat on the shelf doing nothing when it could be on new improved envy. :) :) :)

ALL.....there are no holes from edgehog mate just a broken piece of 6mm polycarb. tee hee hee. i know it was turned down :) i need it for the front and the flipper as it takes a lot of hammer.

Me and steve spent a whole hour on ripper tonight.... with steve on the end of his welder... which means it will work for nearly 2 minutes, instead of the usual 1 :) Watch out !!

Might bring Terrorhurtz along for just one fight to try out the new Lithium batteries. We havent got the proper chargers yet, so wont be able to re-charge.
Might not be able to make Northampton, so this would be a good chance to test the new batts out in combat. Ive run THz around the PCWorld car park - took a total of 6.3Ah out of the four packs in about 5 minutes and they barely got warm. Looking good.

nice work MR REID Tillyewe2 suffered a great deal from yer axe not only did you chop out the cross member at the front but well lets say the top main beam it had a slight bend to it ... but now ,,,,,, yes you guest it you bent it and snapped it clean out too :angry::uhoh:
thats ok Pete, thor did some pretty nasty damage to edgehog too, well done Jason :)
It is telling, that since joining xbotz, Edgehog has not yet been in the arena with Thz.... maybe oneday... well see.

you coul have gone in with him at your event ......... instead of us ..... killed me he did nasty nasty man ....::sad::sad::sad: chopped my robot up he did .... seemed we got him every fight :sad::sad::sad: but good fights though :):)

as cars have to be off the market for ten, it would be ok to arrive after ten but park on the road and carry our stuff wont it?

Hi Guys,
Just a message to say well done to everyone for showing the very WET Aylesbury City Centre just what the robots can do.
For the first time ever we set-up in the rain... we ran robots in the pouring rain, and the arena stayed dry ! Shame about the rest of us.
And guess what€¦. As soon as you guys left, out came the sunshine while we cleared away.
It was a really relaxed, friendly and personal event. :-)
This has been the fourth year attending the Aylesbury town centre, and each year has been a resounding success€¦. So much so we have already been booked for next year, not just once but twice !!
So stick the same weekend May 11th 2008 in your dairy now for the same as this year, and they are already working out a date, as they want to most likely host round One of the 2008 Winter Tour, in September 08. All looking good !!

€œ Thank you to all of you who attended our show, because of your commitment we turned what would normally be a ghost town centre in those kind of weather conditions, into a buzzing flurry of excitement. You didn€™t see me very much as I was busy gathering people€™s feedback and keeping dry, but rest assured I was watching. Did anyone pick up a yellow handled flat head screwdriver and a soaking wet towel ? Theyre mine.
I would say a great event but the rain kinda spoiled it. I was soaked, half the roboteers got soaked (you souldnt of pulled on the marqee Jonno...), but, what can ya do ?

nah, it makes it more fun when you get wet.,.. we have done for the last 4 !!! :)
Missed the robots on water in the arena though, think ill have to sort that for next year, big hole in the marquee !

Sorry we missed it. Looking at the weather we decided to carry on testing the Lithium batteries at home.
Had another good run around the PC World car park at the end of the day once things had dried up a bit.
