Turbulence

Thought it was about time we had our own thread. Ive just done an update to the website, to keep people up to date with what is happening with Turbulence before the Winter Tour finals.

The website also has lots of diary entries from the days when we started with feathers, and for those who remember Team Geezas first attempt at a heavyweight, still got that by the way. Might bring it as a sacraficial bot to an event its taking up valuable space. lol

Turbulence has been slacking since the UK championships. Which was obvious (to me) at the w.tour.

Due to some leaks and a few problems, im striping out the pneumatics and re-plumbing it to give an added 30% exstra flowrate. Should be better then new for next month.

Watch out Storm and Ripper :wink:

Turbulence B-spec now features a full sponge and jam chassis, complete with thick icing armour :) (pic on profile)

I Thought Typhoon Were The Robot Wars Champions??

lol i didnt make it, parents had it made by some place in town.

Kenny, you are right insofar as Typhoon are the last Robot Wars champions however a UK championship was held in August and the HW winner was Turbulence

I agree with kenny that technicaly speaking it shouldnt have Robotwars champ etc on it (Doubt my parents know the difference between Robotwars champ and UK champ lol) :)and Gary told me at the champs, Typhoon would loose to Turb (being nice i guess) lol

I have updated our events page with all known events for 2007, if ive missed any off let me know. Cant say we will be at them all but we are sure to defend our title in August.

Thanks James, if you have a logo it will get put up, well when i get around to it. I seem to have a day once a month where i just spend a few hours updating things. Away til Sunday will update the location and link then

Turbulence is back after a 5 month holiday. It is at the moment suffering a bit of a holiday hangover. But this glitch should be sorted soon and normal service resumed.

For those who are interested Turb has now got a Wotty controller, which after initial testing is proving itself every bit as good as a Vantec.

Megabyte would be an interesting fight, I recon that we could out run him. Which would probably be our best bet, maybe flip it out if we were lucky. Really dont know how long we would last.

Well, Ed, Sewer Snake was able to get under Megabyte pretty easily so I dont think that would be too hard a fight. Its only the vapourbot Hacked off Ha-ka that would give you trouble. :wink:

If you could take the first hit from him then he would probably start to oscillate so you could get under him.

Standing 4ft from the polycarb when it smacks into the side of the arena is scary as hell and I am talking from personal experience :)

Would be nice if I could access it (my computer sucks major (REMOVED BANNED WORD) and internet being a right pain in the (REMOVED BANNED WORD)) but hopefully I will get a new laptop soon. I will try to get to the site via a library computer in the meantime, and then Ill let you know what I think. Should be good :)
